Logical Or Between List of AttributeConditions

Hi all!
Is it possible to make a logical or between AttributeConditions in a list instead of the default and?
I want to have an or condition which would result in accountType could start either with r OR m (see example below which actually never would evaluate true since it cannot start with r and m).

Hi adimut, so if is imposible to use a logical OR with AttributeConditions, I could use an append tag to join the two result lists, but how I can order the result list?
I'm doing a search to the Log objects and I want to get the latest record of an action='CT' OR 'MO'

Logic's event list/controller issues

I edit extensively in Logic's event list, and just recently every time I record on keys with a sustain pedal, instead of an on/off (0 or 127 on controller 64) I now get a series of sequential values, about eight per pedal move instead of just one, which as you can imagine, completely muddies up the event list. Controller 64 is supposed to be a switch only controller, that is, on and off. I don't know how this new wrinkle happened. Any ideas??

As you know, controller #64 is defined as a switch controller in the MIDI spec, but the protocol doesn't specifically forbid intermediate values for this and, interestingly enough, other switch controllers as well. It's just that instrument manufacturers have, in great measure, stuck to the implementation of 0 and 127 as the only transmitted values for switch controllers.
Notable exceptions have cropped up fairly recently, particularly with the advent of half-damper pedals that utilize intermediary values for CC#64 to transmit pedal position.
Certain Korg keyboards, such as the Oasys and the Triton, to name two (which, BTW, support half-damper as well) have allowed various synth parameters to respond to intermediate values for a variety of switch controllers, including CC#64, 80, 81, and others. So these parameters will respond to switch controllers as though they were continuous controllers if the controller value data bytes are in-between 0 and 127.
Now, enough of that. On to your thang...
If you enter pedal markings manually in the score editor, or draw in pedal positions using hyper-edit, Logic will sometimes interpret values along the resulting ramps that are drawn (inadvertantly or not) as intermediate CC#64 controller values. I have the feeling that's what you're seeing.
But the intermediate values, though a PITA, are "legal".

Whats the difference between list and lov ?
i can do the same things with a list what an lov can do .
infact a list is more better. cause the list doesnt hold/show a range of values, and only has the items value iteself.
while the lov can get all the values of items depending on the query.
like
select ename, job, sal from emp
will show all the three items values in lov?

1. For all practical purposes, they are the same.
2. Some differences:
a) from abap coding point of view,
alv list is done with Function modules,
alv gris can also be done with FM,
but can also be done using OO concepts.
b) Alv grid (using oo concept) requires
designing the screen layout .
Hence, in one screen, we can show more
then one alv grid
(we cannot show more than
one alv list on one screen)
c) ALV grid uses ActiveX controls
present on the Presentation Server.
Hence, it consumes More Memory
on the presentation server.
d) ALV LIST is Display Only.
Whereas
ALV Grid Can Be made EDITABLE for entry purpose.
e) In alv grid, these options are possible,
but not in alv list.

Multiple 'logical joins' between a fact table and one dimension table

It appears that one cannot create multiple ‘logical joins’ between a fact table and one dimension table in OBIEE using the Oracle BI Administration Tool. For example, considering a Business Model with a dimension table TIMES and a fact table FACT containing START_TIME and END_TIME, we would like to create separate logical joins from FACT to TIMES for the START_TIMEs and END_TIMEs? Obviously, the underlying foreign keys can be created, but as far as I can tell the Oracle BI Administration Tool doesn’t support this. The workaround would be to replicate the TIMES table, but that’s ugly.
I seek an alternative approach.

Try this. Create an two aliases for the TIMES dimension (Start & End) in the Physical Layer and then remove foreign key to the "Parent" Times dimension. Create the Foreign Key in the Physical Layer to the new aliases and then create the complex joins in the BMM Layer to the new aliases as well. This will allow you to present both dates within the same table in the Presentation Layer. Not the most elegant solution but it works.

Porting logic sessions between studios

Hi,
I work with Logic Pro 7 at my home studio along with the studio at my workplace. I'm trying to figure out how to take session files back and forth between the two without having issues of missing audio instrument files, etc.
btw, both studios have the same software plug-ins (Kontakt 3, Vokator, Spectrasonics Atmosphere, etc.).
One issue I have is that when I "consolidate" a Logic project into one folder, it doesn't save 3rd party plugin settings in the folder (it only saves Logic-related plugs like EXS24).
Does anyone work in this type of situation?
Do you have any suggestions to make porting Logic sessions between two locations easier?

I believe the "Save as project" function is the best thing for that situation. Like you said, it won't automatically save 3rd party plugin settings, but you can always save a 3rd party plugin (in the plugin window), and then copy the file from (from user/library/app support/logic/plugin settings) into your project folder. It would be nice if "Save as Project" included that, but it's still pretty useful for consolidating elements of your project.

Hi Double U,
a possibility could be to create two restricted key figures based on the key figure in your query and restrict the first one to the first status variable and the second one to the second status variable. Then you create a calculated key figure which is the total of your two restricted key figures. The result should be the same as an OR selection.
Unfortunately I do not know a more easy way to realize an OR relation between two variables.

I have a requirement that I want to show pop up/ modal dialog when I click on list item column "upload/Edit" (in EditForm.aspx) . In Modal Dialog I have to show upload button and also existed items if any. Here the attachments will store into document
library's folder .The list item ID should be the folder name in document library.
How do I set relation between list and doc lib ?

How do I print only the events of a particular calendar, and not all the days in between listed?

I am working on a MacBook Pro. I have multiple calendars in my calendar. I am able to figure out how to print a list of events for a particular calendar, but the list includes listing all the dates in between as well. For example, I'd like to print a list of presentations I have coming up over the next 5 months. That yields a 9 page document. Although there may be only one presentation on a particular page, it also lists all the calendar dates, even if it doesn't have an event. Does this make sense?
Does anyone know how to deal with this?

Logic "Environment" Discussion List?

Please consider creating a new "Environment" discussion list in the Logic forums. In my humble opinion this area of the Logic application warrants a focused discussion. In fact if enough traffic is generated I would also hope to see sub topical discussion lists. For example, the transformer and fader objects are highly robust Environment objects that deserve their own lists. Also, I'd love to see a "User Tips" sub topical discussion for the Logic Environment.

Script logic: differences between MS and NW?

Hi to all,
at last SAP Tech Ed I've bought a book on SAP BPC 7, Netweaver version...I did it because I'm already working with the MS version, but I hoped to get a better vision on BPC over NW, and to understand some critical subjects.
One question that I've been wondering is this one: I've found that some script logic examples that I've been able to reuse even in the MS version of BPC, while other won't. For example, I've found the *RUN_ALLOCATION (which I couldn't find in the logic assistent helper installed), and used it happily , and at the same time, I've found the *RUN_PROGRAM, which I don't really get any help from the web. I've found some posts in the NW version, not in the MS.
So: is there any kind of document about the differences between scripting logic for MS and NW?

Between 7.0 M and 7.0 NW we have a document with differences.
But after that new SP or release was bringing new functionalities into NW.
So it is depending what versions you will compare.
Any way you will find key words into NW which are not into M version and oposite.
So my suggestion will be to check the help documentation for version of NW used and to use the key words existing into that version.
Principle of script logic is the same.

Combinatorial logic difference between Spartan 6 and Spartan 3

Hello,
I'm porting a project from the Spartan 3 series to the Spartan 6 and encountered a difference in implementation between the two families. I've added the part of the code that is responsible for the difference in attachment. It's written fully combinatorial which I know is usually a bad idea, but I'll have to rewrite a much larger part of the project if I want to change this module to synchronous logic.
The module itself is used in a motor H-bridge driver and checks if the desired current level in the motor is reached. If so, it starts a fixed freewheel (off) period which is implemented as a counter and decreased every time a pulse arives on the freewheelclk input. When this module is implemented on a Spartan 3, the counter correctly counts down every pulse. However it counts down only every 4 pulses on a Spartan 6.
In behavioural simulation the code works fine, but Chipscope verified the counter value decreasing only every 4 pulses when actually running on the Spartan 6.
I assume this is due to a difference in combinatorial logic (timing) in the slices, but find it difficult to pinpoint the exact problem. What is the best way to further analyse this problem and/or what could be a fix so this code behaves the same on both platforms?
Additional details which I don't know are relevant:
- The Spartan 3 project was in ISE 14.7, the Spartan 6 project is in Planahead 14.7
- The Spartan 3 is a XC3S200-4TQG114C
- The Spartan 6 is a XC6SLX9-2CSG225C

I would like to focus on design functionality.
The major difference in the in ISE/PlanAhead 14.7, with respect to synthesis is the XST synthesis parser.
When Spartan-3 selected for a project in ISE/PA XST old parser is picked.
When Spartan-6 selected for a project in ISE/PA XST New parser is picked.
The important point to note is ISE and PlanaAhead default synthesis options are not same.
I would still try to work with ISE 14.7 for spartan-6 ported design which is easy to understand the root cause of the incorrect behavior.
In ISE 14.7, inorder to understand the difference is because of the parser, I would start verifying behavioral and Post-synthesis simulation.
Try comparing the synthesis reports to understand if there is any difference in analyzing the code or optimization.
You may share the project and the simulation test bench, if help needed in investigation.

Can I use iCloud to sync my Logic folders between Macs?

So, I'm looking for a way to keep my MacBook and iMac in sync with regards to Logic (Pro 9 - downloaded). I figure I want the following folders on a two-way sync:
1) Application Support/Logic
2) Application Support/GarageBand
3) Audio/Apple Loops
4) Audio/Impluse Responses
5) My Logc folder in my Music folder
Have been looking at iCloud recently but don't know if it'll do this. If not, know of any any decent software for this?

Currently I'm using ChronoSync to sync my ~/Library/Audio folders across machines.

Passing Fields between List Table and Input Form - selection list

Hi
I have to build up an input form with a lot of values. I like to provide something like a selection list, where the user can select from. An other way would be to make some tables with the possible values and pass them after clicking the row in a corresponding form field.
I couldnt find a solution to do that.

Hi,
There is no "clean" way of doing this with the current version.
You can have a form with a few labels and a button for each label. Each button will raise a different event (user defined) which you can handle differently, i.e. run different queries, calculate fields, etc.
