I am using 2.4.14, I see the following crash. We catch exceptions in our code.

Hi George,
I guess we need kitchen sink catch at the end. I should have caught this earlier.
Here is what the code looks like around the updateDocument call.
try {
dbContainer.updateDocument(dbTrans, dbXmlDoc, dbCtx);
catch (DbXml::XmlException& e) {
if (e.getDbErrno() == DB_LOCK_DEADLOCK) {
return DB_DEADLOCK;
if (e.getDbErrno() == DB_REP_HANDLE_DEAD) {
env->restartProcess("INVALID HANDLE");
return DB_HANDLE_DEAD;
if (e.getExceptionCode() == DbXml::XmlException::DOCUMENT_NOT_FOUND){
return DB_RECORD_NOTFOUND;
else {
return DB_INTERNAL_ERR;
}

  • When on facebook or sites with pictures, the pctures almost look like a negative except that it's green. this does NOT happen in IE

    while on facebook pictures look like negatives but green. almost as if they were ifrared but bright green. eyes, hair, items most of the picture is this bright green. this does not happen if i go to facebook using Internet Explorer. i have deleted firefox and reinstalled over and over but it keeps reoccurring. very frustrating!!

    That's strange, I haven't heard of that one! A standard diagnostic step is to try Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether it is caused by a custom setting or add-on.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, restart Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode] using
    Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
    If the photos look right, the problem most likely is an add-on or custom setting. Do you have any add-ons that modify or block images, ads, or Flash?

  • Plugging Macbook Pro i7 into external displays looks like crap.

    I have a rather confusing problem with my Macbook Pro. I went out and bought a Samsung 27" display. I am running a generic no-name adapter from the mini port to a HDMI plug into the display. The quality was AWFUL- as in basically unusable. I returned the monitor and came back a few weeks later with the laptop to the store. I spent about an hour plugging the laptop into various monitors throughout the store. Almost all of the monitors- including smaller 24" monitors- looked like crud also except for the upper end models from HP and of course- the $1,000 model from Apple. I wound up buying a 27" HP 2710m monitor. It looked "ok" in the store. I work as a graphic designer so I'm very picky about details. Upon opening a Photoshop doc I could see that things like gradients, shadows, and text all looked funky and wrong. Thus again- the monitor I bought looks like #$@!.
    What's weird is that if I take a look at the display settings when its not plugged into a monitor there is a huge amount to choose from. When its plugged into any monitor I've tried- except of course the super expensive Apple display- about half of those setting become unavailble and I'm basically stuck with using what appears to be TV settings ( 1080P) and so on.
    I tested the new monitor on a Mac Tower and it seems to do fine. But then again- it looks like crud with the Laptop. The Mac tower uses non-apple 24" displays and they look great. I even plugged the laptop into one of these 24" displays currently used for the tower and again- SAME thing!
    So basically I've got a $2,000 laptop that appears to ONLY work with an Apple monitor. Is there something stupid I'm simply not getting here or what? I realize those apple displays are a much higher pixel density, but still- the generic 24" displays work with the Mac tower but NOT with the laptop.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    If you have an i7, it can't be running 10.5.4 reliably. At minimum it can run 10.6.3. So that might be part of the problem if you managed to to load an older operating system on the Mac than the Mac itself can handle. Your My Settings or posted OS link has 10.5.4, even though you are using an i7. If you meant to select 10.6.4, pardon me.
    Generic adapters are usually not as reliable as quality adapters, but also if you have 1080p display, I recommend checking your progressive setting under Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Displays Options.
    I'm assuming you tried the same cables on the desktop as the notebook. If you don't have a mini-Displayport connection on the desktop to test with, you can't rule out the cables.
    http://www.macsales.com/ offers several adapters you can use with your notebook for HDMI. You might want to check with them, or find a non-generic adapter.

    -AndrewDoes it return a null object, or does it return "null" as a String? The latter may be a case of using the message from a wrapped exception, which in case of a NullPointerException is frequently null (if the NPE was not constructed intentionally with a message).

  • In the middle of a search what looked like the firefox website said I needed to download a new version of flash...except I think it was fake. isthis part of firefox? lazyfirefox .co .cc? I noticed too late.

    http ://lazyfirefox .co .cc/ is this a valid firefox webpage? I opened a new page to do a search and what looked like an authentic notification from firefox said I needed to update my flash. After clicking on the update and download, I didn't notice the name of the webpage until it kept happening. Now I'm concerned it wasn't actually firefox and I've downloaded something I shouldn't have. This has not...so far....affected my actual firefox browser....I just don't see anywhere else on the mozilla/firefox website to find out.
    ''Edited to de-activate the link - TonyE''

    I just encountered this same site, and am also wondering if it's a fraud site (I posted the same question, I'm afraid, to the support forums, a minute ago, because I didn't find your question before I posted, even though I did try to search; oh well).
    As for you - after downloading the file, did you actually run it? If you downloaded the file, but then did not RUN the file, you are probably safe - generally, just downloading an infected file doesn't hurt your computer - it is usually required that you run it before it can hurt you. Just delete the downloaded file, and then I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you didn't run it.
    If you did run it, you might want to think about formatting your PC's main hard drive, and then doing a clean re-install of the O.S. and applications.

  • Hi I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express edition, I am getting error like "unhandled exception has occurred in your application"

    In that system Microsoft Framework 4.o and 3.5.1 is installed even then i am getting the error then i uninstalled and again installed framework same error occurring.

    Hi Chandra,
    As other post, please help to post the summary and detail logs for analysis.
    Based on my knowledge, the error “unhandled exception has occurred in your application” always happens along with the following message when installing SQL Server 2008 R2:
    “An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for userSettings/Microsoft.SqlServer.Configuration.LandingPage.Properties.Settings: Could not load file or assembly 'System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
    or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. “
    If you encounter such issue, please perform the following steps to solve it.
    1.Go to your app data directory by going to start > run > %appdata% .
    2.This will by default take you to the "roaming" folder, go up one directory and move into the "Local" folder.
    3. Go to the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.
    4. Delete the relevant folders from the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.
    For more details, please review the following blog.

  • Problem: Stopping cluster due to unhandled exception .. Unable to refresh

    Greetings
    While testing a rolling upgrade of an application that uses Coherence 3.5.2 on 62-jvm cluster hosted on
    11 physical machines, we encountered a situation where after the upgrade was completed, most jvms
    in the system abruptly left the cluster. The physical hosts are running CentOS 5.4, the java used is
    the 64-bit server version 1.6.0_16-b01. The test was run under a scenario that imposed "moderate"
    load, with cpu usage on the physical machines never exceeding 60% busy, network bandwidth never
    exceeding 5%, and with some free physical memory. Swapping did not occur during any time during
    the test. I believe we are using the default tangosol-coherence.xml. We got the error below in
    our coherence.log files on all of the systems, all at about the same time (within 10 milliseconds).
    55 of the jvms left the cluster during the incident. There were 55 copies of the error message in
    the various logs, all nearly identical except for the time and member id.
    My questions include
    - what does the error mean?
    - what could cause it? (I investigated system logs, and found no evidence of the NIC cards
    going off line at the time. Any suggestions about how to look for evidence of broadcast storm?)
    - how can we keep it from happening again?
    Many thanks for your help -
    Mike Murphy

  • Xilinx error 59 reported by Translation process, and unhandled exception in ngdbuild

    Hi all,
    Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but I'll try.
    I'm struggeling with compiling my FPGA code on a NI 9074 target with 8 modules. LabView FPGA tells me that it failed due to a xilinx error in the translation process. It looks like the ngdbuild.exe craches (I'm getting questions from CVI to start debugging an unhandled exception. This happens two times every I try to compile the FPGA code. But the exception seems to happen at different places every time. That is at least what I see from the debug window which appears, assuming the number in square bracets means line number in the source. This number seems to shift with every compilation. It shifts from 1864 to 5896.
    The error which is returned to the LabView FPGA is:

    Done...
    I'm not familiar with VHDL so I don't know the specifics of what really happens during the compilation. I dont have anything specail timing code in the VI except for loop timers.
    I'm using LabView FPGA 2011, and xilinx 12.4. The code has compiled successfully on earlier LabView versions. There are no errors or warings in my LabView FPGA code that that LabView detects. Is this a bug in LabView FPGA 2011 or Xilinx 12.4?
    I've attached the log files from the compilation process and the error summary that LabView FPGA gives me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Peter,
    You are running into bug 1747626. I will send you an email with a fix.
    Regards, Marc We have the same problem here. We have installed the bugfix but it still does not work.

  • KEY-ENTQRY raised unhandled Exception

    Hi,
    In master details form, I try to filter record through pre-query and the condition is as follows
    v_sql_string := '( select K.CLIENT_ID, K.VISIT_ID,K.SERVICE_CD, k.Visit_Dt, k.Visit_type,k.Consultant,k.service_descr '||
                   ' from ( select m.*, row_number() over(partition by m.Visit_Dt '||
                   ' order by m.Visit_Dt) rn from clans_visit_summary_V m where client_id = ' || v_client_id ||
                        ' ) k ';
    v_def_where := 'where k.rn = 1 '||') ';
    Actual query is
    select client_id,Visit_Dt, Visit_type,Consultant,service_descr
    from
    ( select m.*, row_number() over(partition by m.Visit_Dt order by m.Visit_Dt) rn
    from clans_visit_summary_V m where client_id = 21503
    ) k
    where k.rn = 1 order by visit_Dt ;
    The query is working fine for the first time.. But, If i would like to query again, oracle returned the error as follows
    FRM-40735 KEY-ENTQRY Trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.
    Will you give your suggesion to fix it.
    Regards,
    Murali

    Murali,
    Can you take your query in the Pre-Query trigger and run it in SQL*Plus? Looking at your code, it looks like the cause of the 6502 error is your ONETIME_WHERE.
    v_sql_string := '( select K.CLIENT_ID, K.VISIT_ID, K.SERVICE_CD, '
                  ||'         k.Visit_Dt, k.Visit_type,k.Consultant,k.service_descr '
                  ||'   from ( select m.*, row_number() over(partition by m.Visit_Dt '
                  ||'           order by m.Visit_Dt) rn '
                  ||'           from clans_visit_summary_V m where client_id = ' || v_client_id
                  ||' ) k ';
    v_def_where := 'where k.rn = 1 '||') ';
    Set_block_property(v_trigger_block,QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME, v_sql_string);
    Set_block_property(v_trigger_block, ONETIME_WHERE, v_def_where);You change the WHERE clause of the block to k.rn = 1, but referencing "*k.rn*" doesn't look like valid SQL to me because you are selecting multiple values from your RN Alias (in-line view) therefore, I don't see how you could compare k.rn to the value of 1.
    Also, what version of Oracle Forms are you using? You may be running into a limitation of Forms where it does not support the Analytical Functions you have in your query. From what I could quickly find, Analytical Functions are only supported in Forms 10.1.2 or higher and the Database must be 10.1 or higher. If this is the case, perhaps you could create a view on the database and base your block on the view.
    Hope this helps.

  • InitCVIRTE generates error message "Unhandled exception in "MyApp.exe": 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000."

    Hi,
    I have converted a LabWindows CVI project to Visual Studio 2005. When I start the application i debug mode I get the message "Unhandled exception at 0x685662ba in EE352-500V.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000."
    It comes when the application calls:  InitCVIRTE in this context:
    int __stdcall WinMain (HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpszCmdLine, int nCmdShow)
    // Initialize LabWindows/CVI run-time library
    if (InitCVIRTE (hInstance, 0, 0) == 0)
    return -1; /* out of memory */
    The debugger indicates that value of hInstance is 0x00400000 {unused=9460301}
    Can someone give me a solution to this problem. I have done some search on the Web without success.
    Thanks!

    I think that exception might be coming from the data execution prevention service that is part of Win XP SP2.  The OS thinks that you're somehow trying to execute in the data segment and kills the process.  It's intended to catch worms and viruses.
    You can turn this service off for non-Microsoft programs using the control panel.
    Many pointer handling errors now report as this exception instead of as a memory violation exception.  That looks like a null pointer derefence to me.

  • Unhandled exception at 0x779a385b in Acrobat.exe: 0xC0000374: A heap has been corrupted

    Hi,
    In our project, we are getting all book marks from PDF file for display purpose.
    We are getting “Unhandled exception at 0x779a385b in Acrobat.exe: 0xC0000374: A heap has been corrupted” exception while getting Action from particular bookmark. But this is working fine for all other bookmarks, Please find the code we used below:
    CString CPGRBookMarkMC::GetBookMarkDetails(PDBookmark bmObj)
           CString csBookmarkDetails;
           //Ensure that the bookmark is valid
           char * bmName = NULL;
           ASInt32 bufSize = PDBookmarkGetTitle(bmObj, NULL, 0) + 1;
           //Allocate the size of bufSize to the character pointer
           bmName = (char*)ASmalloc((os_size_t)bufSize);
           //Populate bmBuf with the bookmark's title
           PDBookmarkGetTitle(bmObj, bmName, bufSize);
           DURING
                  if (!PDBookmarkIsValid(bmObj))
                         E_RETURN(csBookmarkDetails);
           PDAction objAction = PDBookmarkGetAction(bmObj);
           if(PDActionIsValid(objAction))
                  PDViewDestination objDest = PDActionGetDest(objAction);
                  ASInt32 bmPageNum = 0;
                  ASAtom fitType = ASAtomNull;
                  ASFixedRectP destRect = NULL;
                  ASFixed zoom = NULL;
                  PDViewDestGetAttr (objDest, &bmPageNum, &fitType, destRect, &zoom);
                  char *tempPagenum = NULL;
                  tempPagenum = (char*)ASmalloc((os_size_t)bufSize);
                  itoa(bmPageNum, tempPagenum, 10);
                  strcat(bmName ,",");
                  strcat(bmName, tempPagenum);
                  csBookmarkDetails = bmName;
           HANDLER
           END_HANDLER
           return csBookmarkDetails;
    This unhandled exception is not handled in DURING/HANDLER block also. Please help us to resolve the issue.

    It looks like you are filling a buffer here
    PDBookmarkGetTitle(bmObj, bmName, bufSize);
    and overflowing that buffer here
    strcat(bmName ,",");
    strcat(bmName, tesmpPagenum);
    If that is the case, you will have problems which could appear at anytime after code execution.
    Also, in the code below, the connection between  bufSize and the alphanumeric string size of bmPageNum is not obvious.
                  tempPagenum = (char*)ASmalloc((os_size_t)bufSize);
                  itoa(bmPageNum, tempPagenum, 10);

  • FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED raised unhandled exception INVALID_NUMBER

    Hi I get the FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED raised unhandled exception INVALID_NUMBER error message for block that has duplicate records.
    It works where the block returns no duplicate records.
    I'm guessing the error occurs because more than one duplicate records exists. How can I handle this?
    Below is the function that I'm using to check for duplicate values:
    FUNCTION find_dup (card_in IN varchar2)
    RETURN BOOLEAN IS
    get_card number;
    BEGIN
    select card_no into get_card from strike.member where
    prop_no = :member.prop_no
    and card_no in (select card_no from strike.member
    where prop_no = :member.prop_no
    having count(*) >1 group by card_no);
    RETURN TRUE;
    end if;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND
    THEN
    RETURN FALSE;
    END;
    Below is the trigger used where a check is made for duplicate records before proceeding.
    WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger has below:
    if find_dup(:member.card_no) then -- guessing it finds more than one card_no value. Help how can I handle this?
    go_block('dup_member');
    execute_query;
    :global.dup_delete := 'Y';
    go_item('dup_member.prop_no');
    else
    message(' No Duplicate Records To View!');
    bell;
    go_block('member');
    hide_view('dup_canvas');
    raise form_trigger_failure;
    end if;

    It looks to me like strike.member.card_no may not actually be a number, and you are trying to select it into get_card.
    Try changing your get_card definition to:
    get_card    strike.member.card_no%type;
