LVOOP challenge question: How is Memory managed when objects are data members?

Background:
I am working on a compact field point and am sensitive to memory usage.
I would like to know hoe the labview Realtime compiler treats my code (It is a bit of a Black Box.
My Class contains other objects:
and then later in my code I use what I call Run Loops: Multiple Parallel loops executing various threads: Below.
It also calls some of the classes Ancestor objects:
My question is: does this approach make a second copy of the embedded(Included) objects.
If so does anyone have any clever ideas about how to avoid this?

In the spirit of sharing ideas, if my application wasn't a pyramid of classes, it would be an easier solution:
Use in-place structures, that way they won't be copied
The hearteache is that when you do that, you lose access to the parent data and functions.
Plan "b" is to convert the embedded objects to Refnums, That way only the Pointer is retained by the parent class.
The Drawback is that they can be painful to code as a Data value reference read is required for each thread and may only be used from within the object. Refnums don't polymorph easily
I have also unearthed some very odd compiler behavior.

Plan "C" is to "Check out" the Object replacing it with a default. and hope the compiler doesn't allocate memory for it.

URGENT : Challenge questions query: Oracle Access Manager 10g

Hi all,
This is a query regarding password challenge questions in Oracle Access Manager 10g. We have created password policies for a specific container in OID (say cn=xxx,cn=users,dc=oracle,dc=com) and it is working fine.
In order to exclude certain set of users (say user ABC ) for password policies, we have set the obpasswordchangeflag to false for those users which are in same container for which password policy is created.
When we try to login to the application with the user say ABC, I am not seeing any reset password page - I am happy till this point. However it is showing Configure Challenge questions page. Is there any way to bypass this page? Or is this the expected behavior?
This is very urgent and prompt reply is very much appreciated.

This is expected behaviour. In order to exclude the password policy management for some certains user for particular domain/container. please add the below configuration parameter to your OAM10g password policy.

Qosmio G30: How can I manage QosmioPlayer record area?

I have Toshiba Qosmio G30 I want to know; How can I manage the record area in qosmioplayer ?
I have 4GB only bul l want to maxmize it .

Im not 100% sure but I presume its not possible to change (increase) the recording area.
As far as I know the Qosmio player was installed on an additional partition and the recorded files will be stored on this partition.
Possibly you will get a bigger recorded area if you increase the Qosmio Player partition size. But this is only a suggestion.

How to find out which objects are at the end of the datafiles

My Scenario is having a tablespace of 65G but the data is 5G and that is at the end of datafile for that we are not able to resize the datafile our though is to find out what are the objects at that end of datafiles and will either alter move <owner.tablename> move or alter index <owner.index> rebuld online.
For that how to find out which objects are at the end of the datafiles.

How to replace sky when there are trees in the photo

I have several photos taken outdoors with a dull sky. I also have several sky shots to supply the blue sky; with or without clouds. I know a couple of ways to do that --as long as the horizon line is clear, such as roofs, etc. My preferred method is to use a tool; e.g., Magic Wand, to select the sky area and then copy/paste a blue sky image using Ctrl+Shift+V command. This makes the copied sky inserted into the original image and I'm happy with the results.
But when there are trees or other bushes between the camera and the sky, problems begin. No matter how carefully I try to include all the "holes" in those trees, the end result contains white spots where the selected section failed to follow the tree "holes". Anybody know how to fix these types of problems? I am somewhat familiar with layers-- which I have tried to use to solve this problem.

There are several ways to do this. In my experience the Alibony technique works well. You will be able to use your "good" sky pictures:

As I pointed out to you on June 5, 2014, this is how I do it after watching the Alibony video.
Open your picture (A) (File>open), and open the replacement sky picture (B)
On the sky picture (B), go to Select>all from the menu, then Edit>copy to place it on the clipboard
Go back to your picture (A), then Edit>paste. The new sky (B) should come in on a new layer
With the move tool, use the corner handles to reduce the size of the sky (B) to cover the old sky on (A)
In the layers palette, set the blending mode of (B) to darken
Set the foreground color chip to white
Get the Gradient tool out of the toolbox, and drag a foreground to transparent, linear gradient from below up to the top of the tree line, while holding down the shift key.
With a soft white brush, at reduced opacity, gently paint the horizon a bit, as we want the horizon to be a tad lighter than the rest of the sky.
If necessary, add a few clouds with the Return to Eden set.

I am using oracle10g stream replication, and database version is "10.2.0.1.0".
Basically I have 2 machines named:
--> Site#1_DB ----> Having Table TEST_2 -----> Columns (BID,DBID,Send_Status,Receive_Status,Final_Status).

Howe can I tell when there are no references to an object?

Hi all,
Is there any way for me to know when there are no references to an object without using finalize()?
I want to pool created objects when it is safe to do so.
finalize() won't work since it is called only once for every object instance.

If you are trying to establish an object pool by placing the objects back in the pool when there are no references to the object, then I am afraid you are out of luck.
If there were no references, then you would not have a "handle" on the object to be able to manipulate it in any way (like putting it back in the pool).
If you are talking about something else, then the classes in java.lang.ref.*, might be of use.
If you are really trying to pool objects, then you should have some sort of "close" method in the objects that is called when they are no longer needed and can be returned to the pool.

Triggering on when objects are INVALID

Hi, I'd like to have a trigger which compile an objects right after the object's status changes to INVALID. How can I do it ?
Is there any trigger event ? or should I use audit ?

So before making any change in the production database, you HAVE to be sure that no any objects will be INVALID by checking its dependencies from DBA_DEPENDENCIES view
There're generally two ways to be notifed when there are an INVALID object in any database
The first method is using OEM. Go to Administration->Metric and POlicy Settings-> and set the value for the Owner's Invalid Object Count metric and change Collection Schedule to any time you want
The second method is writing a shell script which queries (each 10 minute for example) all your databases (using status column of the DBA_OBJECTS view) and send you email or sms message when finds any INVALID object

How IT Resource and Resource Objects are linked?

I am new to OIM product and learning the basics. I have 2 questions.
I am not able to figure out how an "IT Resource" and "Resource Objects" are linked?
We always link "Resource Objects" and "Process Definition". How "Process Definition" picks the values provided in "IT Resource"?

I don't think "IT Resource" and "Resource Objects" are anyway linked with each other.
"IT Resource" is something where you specify all the resources in the system which are not meant to be provisioned to users. Like proxy server or Email server in your organization.
"Resource Objects" is a place where you define all the resources that you provision to users.
This is my understanding, which might be wrong. I think someone more experienced user can give better answer to this question.

How to avoid exception when setting a date in an Edit control?

I'm have made a Coded UI Test with VS 2012 for a web application of a colleague.
In that web application is a table with some entry fields of type Edit.
In one of these fields (called "DatumAb") i can enter a date in format "dd.mm.yyyy" (day, month and year).
Coded UI Test identifies the control by the name "von (tt.mm.jjjj)", which is in fact just a placeholder.
When i replay my recording i get an exception which says, that either the control is not ready or not valid.
Next i have called the DrawHighlight method for that control.
While the replay i can see the blue frame, so the control is accessible.
Can anybody tell me, what's going wrong?

As far as I know, we need to enter password for Exchange account if the authentication method is NTLM. And here is the process about the authentication process:
1.Client sends NTLM Authentication Request to the server.
2.Server sends a 64-bit NTLM challenge to the client.
3.Client uses the challenge and an NTLM password hash to create an NTLM response.
4.The client sends the NTLM response to the server.
5.The server creates an NTLM response (since it also has your NTLM password hash) and compares its version with the one received by the client.
6.If the responses match, the authentication is successful.

How to improve performance when there are many TextBlocks in ItemsControl items?

Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to improve performance for a situation when there is an ItemsControl using UI and Data virtualization and each item on that control has 36 TextBlocks. Basically the item is a single string. There are so many TextBlocks
to allow assigning different brushes to different parts of the string. Performance of this construction is terrible. I have 37 items visible on the screen and if I try to scroll up or down it scrolls into the black space and then it takes a second or two to
show the items.
I tried different things. For example, the most successful performance-wise was to replace TextBlocks with Borders and then draw bitmaps. In other words, I prepared 127 bitmaps for each character (I need ASCII only) and then I used those bitmaps
to set Border.Backgrounds. It improved performance about 1.5 - 2 times but it consumed much more memory (which is not surprising, of course). Required amount of memory is so big that it throws OutOfMemoryException on 512MB emulator but works on 1GB. As a result
I don't thing it is a good solution.
Another thing that worked perfect is to replace 36 TextBlocks with only 6 TextBlocks. In this case the performance improvement is about 5 - 10 times but I lose the ability to set different colors to different parts of the string. It seems that
the performance degrades dramatically with the increase of number of TextBlocks. Is there another technique to draw strings where literally each character can be of different color with decent performance?

Using Runs inside TextBlocks gives approximately the same improvement as using bitmaps 1.5 - 2 times faster but it is not even close to the case with just a couple of TextBlocks in the ItemsControl item. Any other ideas?
