Mail 2.1.1 converting jpg's to bmp's and embedding them w/o attachment

Anyone else have this problem. When I attach and send out some jpg's, the recipient gets an embedded file that doesn't show up as an attachment. Instead it converts it to a bmp and they have to right click it then change the file name. I haven't seen help on this anywhere. Mac tech support could not help me. Why is it converting my jpg's? I did make sure to check that I was sending "Windows friendly attachments." Anyone else out there know?

Are you using RTF format for message composition along with a signature?
Are you adding any such attachments below all message text including a signature if one is used?
RTF with Tiger Mail is HTML and if you are adding any such attachments within/between message text and above a signature if one is used can cause problems primarily with Windows Outlook users depending on the Outlook version the recipient is using.
The Mail.app displays image/photo and single page PDF attachments inline or viewed in place by default which cannot be turned off but depending on the recipient's email client and available preference settings, such attachments may appear inline or viewed in place within the body of the message when the message is opened by the recipient or as attached files only which must be opened separately to be viewed for which the sender has no control over.
For this reason, I always do the following and rarely receive such a reported problem.
Include the file extension with all attached files, send with Windows Friendly Attachments enabled (which has no effect on your reported problem but always a good idea when sending attachments to a Windows user for another reason) and always add attachments below all message text including a signature when one is used.
If doing the above does not resolve it, use Plain Text for message composition instead which should.

Now the issue is I want to convert that binary data to bitmap image and upload the same in to SE78. So that I can use that BMP image from SE78 in my smartforms.
I had used the class CL_IGS_IMAGE_CONVERTER to covert the image into bmp but it is giving error that error in IMAGE DATA CORRUPT & Error Code 3. The conversion code used is as below.

It is working fine for PDF. Iu2019m submitting the program and creating spool and converting it to PDF and sending to their emails as an attachment. It looks fantastic. When Iu2019m doing the same thing for XLS it is showing messy output, I tried many functions and search lots of unanswered, unfinished SDN posts. I almost tried every single clue given in these posts but no luck. Email part is working fine using classes ( l_document = cl_document_bcs=>create_document , l_document->add_attachment , l_send_request->set_document( l_document ).,cl_sapuser_bcs=>create( l_uname ).,l_send_request->add_recipient, l_send_request->set_send_immediately( '' ). ) .
My real deal is to create a beautiful XLS out put. I also tried FMs LIST_FROM_MEMORY and LIST_TO_ASCI but no-luck. I thought instead of spool if I use u201CSubmit EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY u201C option may be It works but BIG NO 

i hav tried using ImageIO.. but it is not converting the image efficiently. Define 'efficiently'.
i think there is some difference of 2 pixels..Of course there's a difference. JPG is a compressed format and BMP is not.

PDFmaker not converting Jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013

I am having problems converting jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013 using PDFmaker. I'm running Adobe Acrobat 11 and just updated it to the latest version and that did not solve the problem.
I can convert the emails and Word attachments and can convert the jpgs manually by saving them to my desk top and then adding them as attachments to the resulting PDF but I have several emails each was several attachments that I want to save and it will take me hours to do it manually.
I was thinking there might be some security setting on the jpgs that is preventing PDFmaker from automatically converting them.
I already confirmed that the Preference Conversion Setting is selected to include all attachments in the Adobe PDF. I also unselected the box that reads "block download of external content" but it did not help.

Manual method is a difficult task .You can easily transfer your mails from the Thunderbird to MS Outlook using third party conversion software.i faced the same problem.i tried the following utility. Havig problems converting JPG to PDF with Acrobat Prof 7

I am using Acrobat professional 7. I am trying to convert JPG files to PDF. I have done this in the past without problems and now I am getting a message of "unrecoverable error". What can I do? I have tried doing this with one file and with multiple files and still get the same problem.

What I do is:

I have created over the past year thousands of JPG files to PDF without problems. I can't seem to create a PDF from these JPG files today. I have tried using just one file and also several files and get the same message each time.

Convertion of Smart form to pdf and sending mail to vendor for PO

Hello all,
I have modified a standard PO Smartform and running it through ME23N.
In this i have to convert it to a pdf file and then send it through mail to the vendor.
I have found out FMs'CONVERT_OTF'and
'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
to convert it and send mail. But can u tell me how to go about using it.
As i am using a standard program do i have to copy this prog to zprog and then call the fm out there. I am not sure.

Help needed...Mail Merge in Word converting to PDF and saving

I often have to and often will be required to in the future to produce loan documents via a mail merge in word, convert to PDF, lock and save individually with each individual investor's details recorded in the name of the saved file in PDF.
I have scoured the net and read forums and have tried installing macros but have had no success.
I would appreciate any help.

Convert JPG to BMP using XI

Hi
I would like to transfer the Image file from one Legacy System to SAP R/3 server which then ABAPers can utilize using TCode: SE78.
But here are the constraints -->
*) The Legacy System is providing the Image file in JPEG format Only.
*) SAP R/3 TCode : SE78, can only take the files in BMP format.
*) Even if you simply change the extension of JPEG file to BMP, then SAP R/3 is not accepting that file which suggest it needs typical BMP file only.

In this thread user actually resolves his problem after using a tool which explicitly converted a JPG to BMP but they are not using XI.
Now is their any way with which JPG can be converted to BMP. I found couple of tools but they require the file first ( using browse option ) & then they will convert it, mean you can't call them using XI & provide that file as an argument.
I just need to know what you all think, is it possible to convert the JPG to BMP using XI or not. Also are you aware of any Java/.NET which can actually take the Image file ( JPG format ) & convert it & provide it back.

I've made a quick search and in my opinion the better thing you can do, is to create a Java routine to convert JPG to BMP.
you can use JAI (Java Advanced imaging) to read input stream (JPG format), and convert into a BMP format.

I have downloaded the free trial of adobe but it will not allow me to convert a jpg to pdf. Does anyone know if I have to buy adobe in order to do so?

I'm afraid that sequence leads to a burn-out of some of the black text, making it unreadable.
To clarify, what I did was photograph pages from a book. The interior lighting of the room where I photographed these pages leads to a jpg image with slight graying or shading of parts of the page. So when I simply convert it to B/W, I get a washing out of some areas of the page where there is text, and this makes it unreadable.
I know that some software programs have a feature that allows a color jpg to be converted to b/w such that the text is made pure black and any surrounding areas of the text are made pure white (ie, all color is removed from the non-black areas), which makes for an easily readable b/w text page. Am I able to do this with my Mac, and if so, how using the Automator feature?
(I have more than 50 jpgs that I would like to clean up in this manner, hence the ability to do so through Automator is important.)

We would like to know if it possible to convert JPG to BMP within SAP ? Our users upload jpg file in custom Z transaction and we store that JPG file in Custom Cluster table. Now, we need to get this JPG file, convert it into BMP and store it in SE78. You may ask, why dont we ask users to upload directly in SE78 ? Our Custom Z transaction does other things, so we cannot ask users to use SE78 and also they get jpg files and not BMP files. So, we need to do conversion internally.
Any ideas ?

And even if you could, it wouldn't be worth it. Raw files are 12-bit (or more) with much higher dymanic range than jpegs. The result is that (in the original raw file) you have flexibility to change white balance, change tone curve, recover detail from highlights and shadows in ways you can't with 8-bit (usually lossy-compressed) data in jpegs. But having thrown that extra information away to create a jpeg, you can't get it back. It would technically be possible to convert that jpeg data into raw format, but you would gain nothing by doing so and end up with a file much larger than the jpeg. In fact if this theoretical conversion went the whole way to re-create a Bayer sensor array of data, you'd be throwing away resolution.
