Mail client while mailing a report output

Hi,
whenever I am using destype mail , while sending mail Oracle asks mw install microsoft outlook, while I am using Lotus notes mail client, I would like to know how I can send mails using installed mail system, In my case which is Lotus Notes.

you need to set your default mapi client in your windows environment (sometimes done using control panel depending on your windows version).

  • Mail a report output

    I have a report. While running a report, In parameter form, I
    have set as follows :-
    Destination type : Mail
    Report ran successfully and sent a mail to the recipient with an
    attachment report.eps ( encapusulated post script).
    Now my question is, How I view it or print it ?

    Hi,
    Report's DESFORMAT plays a role is the format of your mail
    attachment.
    Depending totally on the version of Oracle Reports you can
    output in these formats…
    Bitmap Report:
    DESFORMAT=DFLT will attach a EPS (postscript) file.
    DESFORMAT=RTF will attach a RTF (MS Word/Write) file.
    DESFORMAT=HTML will attach a base HTML (Netscape/IE) file.
    DESFORMAT=HTMLCSS will attach a CSS HTML (Netscape/IE) file.
    DESFORMAT=PDF will attach a PDF (Acrobat Reader) file.
    Character Report:
    DESFORMAT=DFLT will attach a TXT (Notepad etc) file.
    Well, I am not sure of viewing the EPS file and if you find
    anything please let me know.

    Your pgm is not passing anything in obj_descr in packing list for excel file. If you pass a name your excel file will have that.

  • How to increase the font size of the report output in the printout.

    i have a requirement like to print the report output as a direct print from an internal table.I am using the below mentioned code, the output is printing fine but the Font size of the output text is so small so i need to increase the font size of the text of output data.

    in our system when we click on print. on widow is coming.
    there is a properties button.
    we click on it.
    there FORMAT----AND then we select forat from there and then printing .
    not sure. but check on ur system. is there properites button.

    You can specify attributes such as the character width and font size in the device type formatting yourself.

    in the report PRINT-CONTROL SIZE option is there. try to find more o this.

  • Report output - Text Wrapping in next line

    My requirement is the concurrent output should be in CSV.
    In RDF i have concatenated the columns using "," separated. I have registerd the concurrent program in Oracle Apps, with output type as TEXT. While saving the report output i will save it as .csv, and it will open in excel.
    But my Output wrapped in next line  like below ,

    The JComboBox is used as an "editor". Once you finish editing a cell the "renderer" is used to display the data. The default renderer is a JLabel which does not wrap text.
    Read the JTable API and follow the link to the Swing tutorial on "How to Use Tables" for more information on renderers and editors.

  • Report output sending as an attachement through mail

    we are facing one problem while sending report output as an attachement to specific mail-ids.
    Every thing is working fine.But for each row upto 255 characteers only it is printig.
    Remaining is not comming.
    We are using  Function Module  SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
    Please help us to solve this.

  • Report Output to be mailed as an attachment-On Schedule

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement to develop a oracle report with reportbuilder6i,the report output should be in excel format,needs to be run every monday and has to be mailed to some id [email protected]
    While converting it to excel output emp.xls using text_io iam saving it in some location .I want that emp.xls to be mailed to an email id ,also the report has to be scheduled to run periodically.
    If any one has done it,can u share the details and code.

    At the first outset, I dont think, this is possible.  Moreover, this approach is definitely not recommended since it will severely impact on the system performance and if there is a Security Team, they will not allow to have this practice.
    Normally, either we can send as PDF attachment to any internal user via email or this can also be sent externally via PDF.  There is also an option to view as PDF from the existing output itself.

  • Sending report output via E-mail (excel pivoted format)

    Hi all,
    i have a written a report where i need to send the report output to somebody via
    E-mail.i am sending this report output via E-mail successfully.The receiver receives, my output in excel format.but this excel is not <b>pivoted</b>.
    i want , the receiver should get my output in pivoted excel format.i.e my output data should be exactly fit in the excel sheet.
    now the columns in excel sheet are overlapping.once i double clicked, the columns are getting separated.i do not want to double click.i want all the columns should come properly i.e excel field  length should be adjusted as per the output field length.

    Hi all,
    i have a written a report where i need to send the report output to somebody via
    E-mail.i am sending this report output via E-mail successfully.The receiver receives, my output in excel format.but this excel is not <b>pivoted</b>.
    i want , the receiver should get my output in pivoted excel format.i.e my output data should be exactly fit in the excel sheet.
    now the columns in excel sheet are overlapping.once i double clicked, the columns are getting separated.i do not want to double click.i want all the columns should come properly i.e excel field  length should be adjusted as per the output field length.
    i am giving my coding below.plz suggest how i can do the above thing .it's urgent.

  • Report output to convert to pdf and mail it to recepient

    Hi
    I'm using the below coding for converting the output of the program to pdf and then mail it to the recepient.The coding works for background processsing only can i do the same for online.In the write statement i'm using the sy-repid my program name and when i get the pdf mail i'm getting the name of the program but instead i need to get the output of my program.Can any one help me in correcting the coding to get the output in pdf format.I know where i'm going wrong but this is the first time i'm working with this so new to this....It would be better if i could run the program and get the convertions into pdf through mail instead of background processing.....Please change the coding below to get the same.....

    here are a couple of guesses :
    i would change the line in the config file to :
    <pluginParam name="mailServer" >xyz-ns01</pluginParam>
    you mention it works if you run it from IE. so i assume you run the report through the server. did you change both config files, the one for your server and rwbuilder.conf (which is the one for the builder) ?
