So i'm having trouble with the mail app it won't open or closo or do anything at all. so icant instal the updates of other apps, but everithing else works just fine

Our CEO has an iPhone and an iPad. Everytime he is at the Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI) he is unable to send or recieve email over 4G or wifi. Everything else seems to work just fine over wifi or 4G LTE. Has anyone ever seen anything similar? is this malware?
Both devices are on Verizons 4G LTE network. Both devices do have some of the same APPS installed. Can this be a case of him connecting to a rogue wifi network of a hacker that may have installed malicious code on his devices when he connected? That would explain why only his devices have the same exact issue only at BWI airport.Something similar I've experienced. I was once having to use a AT&T hotspot and the iPad simply refused to access my mail via the mail app. But if I used safari I could get it. So the internet was working, but my supposition is that something with the hotspot's firewall messes with mail exchange.
next time your boss is at BWI, do you guys have a web interface? (for example if I wanted to access my work mail I could get them to set it up via the mail app and exchange, or I could go to a certain web address and access my mail that way via safari)
He could try using safari and the web interface if you have it.
If it's something in the hotspot's firewall I doubt it's anything that can be changed. -
Notes between my iPhone and Mac are not syncing. I have an iCloud account, and Notes are turned on... what am I doing wrong??? Everything else seems to sync just fine.

Running 10.6.8 on Intel dual core iMac, it keeps on losing internet connection. Webpages get stuck after a minute or so. If I check the internet connection via diagnostics it seems to work just fine. Others, like the iPad use the same wifi connection and never fail. What can I do?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I get the following error message: Gone The requested resource / is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. IE & Chrome work just fine - and the previous version of Firefox (10.0.1) also worked. Looking for a fix or I will need to abandon Firefox. Thanks.

Having trouble all of a sudden--Mail keeps rejecting my password. If I sign on to iCloud, password works fine. Claick on Mail from iCloud, and it will not load, citing "missing resources" or "trouble with server". Same problem from my iPhone. Not sure how or where to report the problem--there aren't a lot of "contact Apple" links (at least I can't find any that will reply to a problem).
I have tried turning off the computer, and I have tried updating it. I have no idea what is doing this, but I need to get e-mail soon from some source! My work depends on it.

To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

Firefox 10, win 8 consumer preview. Acer-500 Tablet.
Firefox apparently isn't optimized for touch or if there are adjustments or options I haven't been able to find them. This problem was also apparent in the Development preview on Win 8. I gave up trying to use Firefox and went with IE 9/10 which both worked fine using touch. I thought since installing win 8 consumer something might have changed but the problem still persists. I've tried a stylus to see if it was just my fat fingers but to no avail. Any ideas?I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The hotness suggests a hardware problem

My photos are appearing in last import, last 12 months and in my events (in library) but not in my photos (in library). I have never had any problems up until about 3 months ago. Did I change a setting by accident? I prefer to view my photos in 'photos' as opposed to 'events'. and btw, all the dates seem to be correct on the past recent months.

Whenever I close Firefox and then reopen it later on it opens the last webpage I had open before closing the browser instead of my homepage. It seems that exiting Firefox doesn't fully shut it down and just puts it into hibernation mode. This has become a problem because when I have a secure webpage open when I close the web browser, without logging out of the page, and then try to go to that page again it thinks that it's already open and wont open another page for me. This means that I can't even navigate to the page to log out. I think it might be just a setting with Firefox 4 but not sure which one, any suggestions?

Firefox closes and wont open on installing certain add ons
I was using Firefox today and suddenly one of the add ons ( Download Helper ) started to be irresponsive. I tried to close firefox and reopen it and wont open. The icon flashes and goes away. I removed the app using Appzapper and downloaded and run a clean reinstall. Now, I went on to download all the add ons I used to have (Download Helper, Sage and few others) and restarted firefox and the symptoms reappeares. I tried to create a new profile and it didn't work. I used Safe mode to deactivate the plugins and it works, whenever one of them ( which I used to have before the problems ) is activated Firefox crashes. I went on to create a new Account and tried the same and it is working perfectly. So, can you tell me what I might have done wrong to cause this?

Hi, I have a 4 days old iMac. This evening I was copying some files from an external HDD to the Mac´s internal. When I came back the screen was off, pressed the space bar to turn it on...and the sound it does when a file copy is complete sounds constantly, and I can´t open any menu (I click, it opens and it instantly closes).
Tried several restarts, erased the files I was copying, disconnected the external HDD. It stops a while, and then again.
Also, I tried to recover, I just can´t with the com+R combo, I guess the wireless keyboard does not work during the startup.
I bought a Mac to avoid this kind of problems...4 days, come on.My recommendation is to take it back to Apple and allow then to fix it.
I suggest this so that Apple is aware of the problem now in case you have future problems with it.
Beside why should you be forced to mess around with a brand new machine.
