Making a .dll file in Visual Studio from a NIDAQmx C program

I have a C program in Visual Studio that reads temperature from DAQs. I wanted to take this c file and put it into a shared library project in Visual Studio. However, when I try to run the program, it gives me 10 errors that look like this:
unresolved external symbol DAQmxCreateTask referenced in function main
I have NIDAQmx.h included in the project so I'm not sure why CreateTask is considered an external symbol. I'm not sure what causes this problem, could anyone help?
Thank you!

Yes, I've tried this and have gotten a clean compile.  However, the .dll is associated with third party software intended to add controls to a form.  The form does not display in Designer though (extensive stack trace errors) which made me wonder
whether there is a downside to this approach.

    Hi Them,
I'd like to know how do you connect to TFS 2010,. When you connect to TFS 2010 via Visual Studio 2013, you have to install Team Explorer 2013 and Connect using the http://server:port/tfs/ProjectCollection url format for on premise servers. Check the

  • Download a Project file for Visual Studio regarding the Kinect for Windows v2? Getting Started with Kinect Development in Visual Studio

I am currently trying to make an application for Kinect for Windows v2 but I am entirely new to Visual Studio and Kinect development and could use some help getting started. I honestly have no idea where or how to start and I figured the easiest thing would
be to obtain a simple project file and examine how it works myself, but I have been unable to find one. The easiest thing would be if I could obtain a project file for Visual Studio that is an application which overlays the Skeletal model over people in real
time, though similar project files would also be appreciated. The app I am making largely involves things similar to overlaying the skeletal model on bodies so this would get me off to a great start and show me how the code is laid out within visual studio
simultaneously. (I would prefer the code to be in C# if that is possible but other languages also work).
I have checked out some of the guides for kinect development but they all assume you know how visual studio works so I cannot get very far in them. Thus if you know of a good guide to get me started with visual stuido AND the Kinect then I would be glad
    to here that as well.
Alternatively, and I know this is not the right place for this, I have Matlab, which I know works for the Kinect v1 but can't find support for it regarding the v2, so if you could point me in the right direction on how to get it to work with the Kinect v2
THAT would also work incredibly well as I am much more familiar with Matlab.
I already have Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 installed, as well as the Kinect SDKv2.0, the physical Kinect for Windows v2, and my laptop meets all of the requirements for development so those are not issues.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

    Hi Jicnon,
Thank you for posting in MSND forum.
Since this forum is discuss: Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System, and Visual Studio Editor. About your issue, I think that it is
more related to the Kinect for Windows v2, so I suggest you can post this issue directly to Kinect for Windows v2 SDK forum:https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=kinectv2sdk
,maybe you will get better support.
In addition, I find a similar thread about your issue, maybe you will get some useful message.

    Hi Christoffer,
Thanks for the reply, excellent information! I was a bit struggling with the availability of the tokenGroups attribute, but your info makes it pretty clear.
Do you also happen to have experience with the LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_IN_CHAIN method to retrieve nested groups? It seems to perform pretty well, retrieves all nested groups using the memberOf attribute and works on all AD environments (W2K3 SP2 or higher).
Richard Mueller did a performance test using both methods:

  • Crystal Report Dll problem with Visual Studio 2005

I am using Crystal Reports with Visual Studio 2005. At one time there were two different version of Crystal Decision Dll in Global Assembly Cache (GAC). So I uninstalled both the versions and then only installed 10.2.3600.
I am facing the following error when building my application in visual studio.
    The type 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\arms website\301a5b02\e03ad7d9\assembly\dl3\c30f5560\00f92427_3857ca01\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.DLL'
    and
    'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine\10.2.3600.0__692fbea5521e1304\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll'
I have only installed it in .Net Framework. For some reason it appears in the temp folder. I cannot delete it and when I renamed it after the next compile it came back again.
    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks for the tip.
    I installed CR XI R2 with SP2 and 2.1
There are few reports in the system they use to run fine but now when I try to run them I get the following error:
Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ] Failed to open the connection. C:\DOCUME1\SSheikh\LOCALS1\Temp\ZGA370 {71BFCD35-F652-48C8-896D-B93229A4D2C2}.rpt Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ]
I understand that these reports run ok independently and on production machine as well; however when I try to run them from my development machine I get the above error.
I would appreciate help to resolve this. The code of the report is with report developer and I need to know what settings do I need to change where to be able to run the reports. Also I use my machine for deployment of application on the production server.
    Thanks.

  • How to download setup file for visual studio community?

i want to download a copy of visual studio community but web based installation system taking too much time.....i have to continuously run my computer for at least 2 days to completely install the package.....where can i get the setup file which can be
downloaded like any other file from internet?

Your other option would be to download the ISO, which will also take a long time on a slow Internet connection. Once you have the ISO, you can check the SHA-1 to confirm that you got a valid download. Then, you can install locally much faster than with the
    web installer over your connection.
You can get the ISO here: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9863609

  • UnityVS (VSTU) not outputting to Visual Studio from OSX Unity

I'm using UnityVS (VSTU) with VS 2013 in an OSX VMWare Fusion Windows 8.1 VM.  Everything seems
like it's working fine (the debugger is connected to the Mac Unity instance) except that the unity console output is supposed to be output to the Visual Studio output window, but it appears not to be. I feel like I followed all the instructions correctly.
Is this just a bug with remote debugging or am I doing something incorrectly?
    Thanks

    Hi Mashton72,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
As you said the UnityVS (VSTU), since it is the Visual Studio Tools for Unity add-on, so I suggest you can start a discussion in the Q AND A:https://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/20b80b8c-659b-45ef-96c1-437828fe7cf2

  • How to call up an executable file (eg. MSPaint) from within my java program

How to call up an executable file (eg. MSPaint) from within my java program

Ummm... why would you want to get MSPaint anyway? Even in the absense of real software, Java's own graphics tools are way more sophisticated - with a little time and effort, you could write a simple paint package that beat MSPaint hands down.

  • Oracle error while migrating visual studio from 2008 to 2013

im using oracle.dataaccess.dll , and my oracle version is 11.2.0
i migrated from .net 2.5 to .net 4.5 , but iam using dataset in my code
when im running it iam getting the belwo error
An exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in Oracle.DataAccess.dll but was not handled in user code
can you please help me asap  to solve it

Write an event handler that catches the error and outputs the error text. That will help diagnose what the problem is and where the problem is likely occurring.
    For example:
                try
                             <DataSet code>
                  catch (Exception ex)
                    Console.WriteLine(ex.Message);
                    Console.WriteLine(ex.InnerException);
                    Console.WriteLine(ex.Data);

  • Where do I download the crredist*.msi files for Visual Studio 2005 and CR

I've created a VS 2005 application that uses the CR viewer control.  When I run the application, the app generates an error message.  It states that I need to install the appropriate CR redistributable (crredist*.msi).  Shouldn't this file be on the CR cd's?
If not, where do I download it?  The development pc has W7 64 bit.  The user pc's will have WinXP.  I'm using VS 2005 and CR XI R2 Developers Edition.
    Thanks,
    DW

This info was listed in the original post.
Anyway, I found the solution at the link below.
The recommendation is to explicitly target 32 bit processers when building your assemblies. Go to Project Properties, Compile, Advance Settings then change the Target CPU from its default "Any CPU" to "X86." Those of you who have been building VS apps on a 64bit machine for a while are probably familiar with the need to explicitly target X86. This article, "Windows & the World of 64-Bit Computing" (http://www.ddj.com/hpc-high-performance-computing/184405994), has some helpful insights on developing .NET apps on an X64 computer.

  • Integrating Pro*C/C++ files in Visual Studio 2005/2008 with 11g

    Hi,
I have already builted application in VS 6.0 and oracle 9i ,which uses .pc file
can you please tell me how should I integrate it into VS 2005/2008 and 11g
I am not able to handle .pc file references and all stuff.

    Hi,
    VS2008 is not supported with Pro*C and 11g... http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/install.111/b32301/toc.htm#BGBEEBAD
There is no procui.exe these days, that was done away with back in 10.2. You'll need to use the command line version now (proc.exe)
For custom build options, I've always just figured out the exact command line needed to precompile the particular file, and pasted the whole thing into the command line part of "Pre Build Event".. for example:
    proc parse=full iname=sample1.pc oname=precompiledsample1.c include="d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\oci\include" include="d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\precomp\public" include="d:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~1\VC98\include" include="d:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~1\VC98\PlatformSDK\include"Hope it helps,

  • Business One 2007 SDK for Visual Studio 2010

    Hi,
I am wondering if I can use Business One 2007 SDK in Visual Studio 2010 [.net 4]. My collegue has asked me to update one of the existing project which is developed in VB6. and He use the Business One 2007 SDK by reference it to SAPbobsCOM2007.dll file. However when I try to import this dll file on Visual Studio it has shown an error message " SAPbobsCOM2007.dll could not be added. Please make sure that the file is accessible, and that is a valid assembly or COM component".
The computer that I am using is Win7 64bit with VS2010
I would be grateful if you could point me to a correct direction/resource.
    Many thanks

    Hi Gordon,
I have tried it, and it does not work...
    when I try
    regsvr32 Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll
I have received the following error message
The module "Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll" as loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.
Make sure that "Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
Could you let me know where could I download the latest SDK for Business One 2007 please.

  • Associate a dtsx package with Visual Studio

when i double click a dtsx package created via import /export wizard, it opens it in Word. what can i do to get it to open in Visual Studio.?
    sukai

    Hi sukai,
By default, if we’ve ever used Word program open this .dtsx format file, then it always opens .dtsx file in Word.
If we want to directly open the .dtsx file with Visual Studio, we can change the program. For more detail steps, please see:
Right-click file to select “Open with” option.
Expand “+” next to Other Programs.
Click Browser to navigate to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE”, then select devenv.exe application.
Click OK. In this way, the .dtsx file would be always opened with Visual Studio. We can design the package, but cannot execute it.
Besides, as Arthur said, by default, the .dtsx file is opened with SSIS Package Execution Utility (DTEXECUI.EXE Utility). I strongly recommend that we should create a SSIS project, then add the package with “Add existing package” option from File System. At
this time, we can edit, execute and deploy it in SQL Server Data Tools.
