Mandatory fields in receiver side

Hi Experts,
Is there any easy way to find out, what are the mandatory fields(receiver side) we have to map during mapping?

Sender side :
1. Sender1_Root
2. Sender1_Child1
3. Sender2_Root
4. Sender2_Child1
Receiver Side:
1. Receiver_Root
2. Receiver_Child1
3. Receiver_Child2
1. Sender1_Child1 is mapped to Receiver_Child1
2. Sender2_Child1 is mapped to Receiver_Child2
In this case, Do we need to map the Sender1_Root and Sender2_Root to Receiver_Root?

User Created in OIM 11.1.1.5 with null value for mandatory field.

Hi,
We had updated one UDF as mandatory field on OIM user form. We can see the * in front of that field. Now if we create the user using web console (Using UI), we are not able to create the user without giving some value in that UDF as it is mandatory. However if we created the user with UDF value as null using Trusted recon, User sucessfully created in OIM. I had attached the screen shot for that user which create in OIM with UDF value as null.
Is any thing else also need to do to make UDF as mandatory field.

I am not sure this is a bug. Such mandatory checks will often only apply to administrative changes from the GUI. You may not always be able to enforce the same quality of data in reconciled data as you wish to impose for changes made through OIM, and it may prove an issue in some cases if such users could not be reconciled. In this case the use will go into OIM, but you will be forced to populate a value in the mandatory field if you later try to update them in OIM.

Regarding FCC in receiver side

HI friends, i need help regarding FCC. my input file is a text file on which some of fields doesn't have data so i want to display pipe symbol in that empty field in receiver side. what i have to do in the sender channel parameters side.
points will be awarded.

Can you give some example?
You can use message mapping with condition that if some input tag is blank then use that symbol (pipe |).
You can that pass the message at reciever side....
What is your output format?

Sending an idoc to 1 the of the 2 idocs in the receiver side based on field

Hi,
Am having 1 idoc in sender side SHPMNT05 and 2 idocs in receiver side DELVRY05 and VEHCLE01.
My requirement is to send data to DELVRY05 only when one field in SHPMNT05 is having space in it
and to VEHCLE01 only if having Vehicle no in that particular field.
And to populate DELVRY05,
Need to call a FM with Delivery no and del item details.
Function module has to determine based on the FS scenarios, whether to change the delivery, split the delivery (Create new delivery) based on the reason code.
Take the return values from RFC function module and populate DELVRY05 idoc.
Using conditional operator on that particular field we can map it to root nodes of the idocs and do mapping, i think.
But How can i call a func module for populatng del05.
Help me firends.

You may perform RFC lookup in your mapping to call the function module. Make sure that your function module is remote enabled.

Mandatory field validation on Page links.

We have created a Portal application where we included different applications as taskflows. We have also created a tabbed interface which helps us to communicate from one task flow to another taskflow. When we are in one page of taskflow and try to move to another page of different taskflow using tabbed interface we receive mandatory field validation error which prevents us to move to any other page until we fill all the mandatory fields. We need to move to different page of taskflow by using the tabbed interface even without filling all the necessary mandatory fields. Can anyone help us to resolve this issue as this is very important for our project.

Mandatory Fields in iView created from SHD0 (sceen variant)

I am experiencing an issue with the Portal display of an (IAC) iView. The iView displays PZ05 and a transaction variant was setup to handle Emergency contact info. I created a screen variant for the second screen of this transaction (screen 0200) in which I made 7 of the fields mandatory in the variant. When this is tested on the R/3 side the mandatory fields are displayed the way they are supposed to be (with the check mark in the box, denoting it as a required field) however when they are displayed in the iView on the Portal the mandatory fields are completely filled up with the "check mark in the box". In other words the "Name" field is 40 character... and there are 52 "check marks in the box" characters filling up the field. The iView works great but this looks ugly. Any suggestions on what I should do to rectify the situation?
We are running Portal 6.0 SP15 with a stand alone ITS on a 4.6c backend and the Business Package is 50.4.

When you create Vendors properly in ECC it should not give such an error. You have to maintain basic data, Accounting data and purchasing data. Rest all are optional.
For replicating vendors from R/3 to SRM you should have a Vendor root org / group in SRM. BBPGETVD is used to replicate vendors to SRM by mentioning the logical system and Vendor Group ID.

How to avoid mandatory fields popup when cancelling a transaction

Hi All,
I have created a Employee create page and put some mandatory fields on it
and have 2 buttons apply and cancel . if i navigate to that page and not enter anything and press cancel button a dialog comes up asking me to enter mandatory fields
what should i do to avoid that popup ?

Either
1) disable client side validation on press of cancel button
2)Or Don't mark the fields required and handle this in ur code on apply button event as server side validation.

FCC in receiver side in idoc to file scenario

Hi all,
           I am doing an idoc to file scenario using FCC .I am using FCC in receiver side ,but i am getting my output file in only one line while i want structre to be seprated by new line.for more information i am giving muy file structre.
Record
    header(1to1)
    data    (0 to unbounded)
    footer (1to 1)          header, data, footer are three structre which contain various fields.I have to use fieldFixedLengths as filed separator. I am also using endseperator as 'nl' but its not coming in new line.Please share ur views on this issue.

data.fieldFixedLengths      = similar to header
footer.fieldFixedLengths    = similar to header
header.endSeparator = 'nl'
data.endSeparator = 'nl'
footer.endSeparator = 'nl'
I guess you dont have to do any thing else.

Mandatory fields for mapping in ORDERS idoc.

I m working on File to idoc scenario for creation of sales order in ECC 6.0 , now I want to know what are the mandatory fields in ORDERS idoc which needs to be populated or else disbaled so that the sales order gets created properly in the ECC 6.0..
Pl let me know the method of finding mandatory field for mapping for any idoc and which fileds of idoc are to be disabled.

HI,
U can disable the control record segment and in the IDOC adapter use the option apply control record from payload.
If you have set the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the following fields are filled from the IDoc-XML payload:

Dealing with Fixed Length formats both at sender and receiver side

Hi all,
I have file -- File with fixed lenght formats.
Source system will generate a text file with fixed lenght and target also needs the same file with same format.
Then we have an idea to implement the interface with out IR Development .this is fine upto now.
But now the problem is we are receiving more fields from source than we require for target process. we are not using at receiver side.
So receiving system needs only few required fields from the source file.
From soucre
Ex: Source.... DocNum   Invoice No   Bill date   Bill amount vendor code
We require at target
Ex: Target.....   DocNum Bill Date Vendor code
Please suggest me

Here all fields will come into picture, we cant mention the positions at receiver

Fixed lenghts are 10            20               10             10            20
Target Expects Ex: Docnum   BillDate Vendor
                              10            10          20
in receiver side if you mention fixed lenghts like 10 10 20 means it may read docnum, Invoiceno, BillDate
It wont ignore InvoiceNo field in this case

Seeburger BIC mapping error(on changing mandatory fields)

I am working on IDOC to EDIFACT file scenario with seeburger.
Earlier my end to end scenario was working fine. I got a requirement to change all the mandatory fields of segment NAD into non mandatory field. To acheive this i changed my Seeburger BIC mapping and target XSD in PI. After this process i create .sca file and ask basis to upload it.
But after deployment i am getting error in communication channel where i am using BIC mapping. The error is message is quite big, still i am attaching a part of it. Please help

Hi,
Even I faced a Similar problem...
1) make sure that the size of the data that is coming to BIC map is not larger than the size defined in the Source field (Check In BIC and SAP XI/PI map.
2) Make sure id any other seeburger mapping are working fine , This is because you have to deploy the file in form of Active mapping.sca in SAP XI/PI after the changes are made on BIC side.
3) Check the Adapter Engine Cache ...

How to set Batch as mandatory field in Subcontracting PR component input

My scenario is about subcontracting purchasing:
1. Move stock to vendor through movement 541
2. Create a purchase requisition includes items with item category "L",
and then input component,that is a quantity of material moved to vendor above
3. Convert PR to PO
4. Process GR according to PO
Beause the batch field is optional in component input screen above step2,the user always forget to input it.
So I want to set Batch field as mandatory in component input screen.
I have not idea about it,Could anyone give suggestion?

this batch number field for the component in the PO is optional for various reasons. the batch that you send to your subcontractor may not even be produced at the time when you create the PO. In this case the user could not enter anything.
The PO is created by buyers, but the component is send to the vendor by the shipping department, the buyer usually does not care about the batch.
The batch field becomes mandatory when you ship the material to the vendor using ME2O, or even in the transaction MB1B
and the batch field is again mandatory when you receive the finished good and have to issue the component.
The batch field in the PO component can only be made mandatory from a good developer in a user exit

File Content Conversion on the Receiving side

Is there a way in which if I want a Pipe Delimited File as a result, after the last field also I get a pipe with next record starting in the next line.

For | (Pipe), use corresponding hex code as fieldSeparator i.e. 0x7C as fieldSeparator.
For FCC on receiver side refer -

For separotor at the end of line you can try using a dummy field or use combination of pipe and newline i.e. '0x7C' and '0x0D' (stands for carriage return) or 'nl' as endSeparator
Edit: You might consider using 'nl' as beginSeparator parameter and 0x7C as endSeparator. This will do the trick. However, this would add a blank line in the beginning of the file.

KIndly go to the belwo path and choose Create customer centrally and make the street field mandatory
SPROFinancial accounting-Accounts receivable and accounts payable -Customer accounts-Mastr data---Define screen layout per activity (customers)
By doing above system will show mandatory for all account group when creating customer master thjrough XD01
If you want to do mandatory for account groupo the n go to t code OBD2

FCC Receiver side

Hi Experts,
Im working with the file to file scenario with FCC receiver side parameters ( sender xml with receiver text).
I want my fields with comma separated values...like... abc,xyz,mno.. so on...
Im giving the parameters as :
HEADER1.fieldSeparator: 'nl'
HEADER.fieldseparator: ,
Where the structure is Header1--->Header.
Im getting the error as :
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages

My sender xml file structure is :
DT_FCCRec-->HEADER1->HEADER--->lastname,name,middle,company...so on till 10 fields.
My output file should be a text file with comma seperated values.
I need 5 rows...with 10fields seperated by comma:
name,lastname,firstname.....10 fields
name1,lastname1,firstname1...10fields
name5,lastname5,firstname5...10fields.
