Mandatory values on create page

Hi,
I am developing a create page in OAF to create records in a table that has few mandatory values.
When I click the 'Create' button on Search page I am taken to the create page and able to create records in table without issues.
When I click the 'Cancel' button on create page it doesn't let me cancel the execution unless I have filled all the mandatory values on the page.
Is there a way I can override this ?

Check the properties of the Cancel button.
Set the "Disable Client Side Validation" and "Disable Server side Validation" to true.
Note: Property names are from memory, should be something similar.

How to synch values of fields (cbo & text) in Master Pages section in dynamically created pages?

HI folks,
I have a requirement for a form that has a common master page with a checkbox and text field in it.   The document is basically a table that dynamically adds rows as the user adds entries.   When the first page is full, a second page is dynamically created and the Master page format (including the checkbox & text field) applied to it.
When the user sets the checkbox on one page and/or adds text, all of the checkboxes on all of the dynamically created pages (in the master section) and all of the text boxes need to change to show the same values.
However, I can't figure out how to address the fields on the other pages.   The number of pages changes from user to user, so I can't address them with a static reference.
Does anyone know how to keep these fields in synch?

Hi,
I want to change the Condition value of a material i.e basic value of material in PO.
what mandatory values required to pass to BAPI_PO_CHANGE.
pl send along with the sample .example.
Helpfull ans will be rewarded.
Note : I am creating po using BAPI_PO_CREATE1. but condition values passing to POCOND are not getting reflected due to Info records that is the reason why i am going for po change.

Passing the values between two pages

hi all,
I am trying to pass the value from one page to another page. by referring the Link

I have created the code based on the demo. it is deployed without any issues. but when i press the hyperlink from the first page it is not moving to the second page.

My Requirement is to create a ADF page based on the Human Task with the Default payload. In that page when the user presses the empid link field, It will show all the information related to the employee id in a separate page.
so ,
1. i have created the View Object based on the Query with where clause
2. Create a bind variable for the where clause
3.Created s new page for displaying the employee details
4.drag and drop the both the pages (employee details, default page created by human task) into the adfcconfig file.
5.drag and drop the Execute with params into the adfcconfig file
6.wire it from human task page --> execute with params--> Employee details page
7.change the employee field in that human task page to a link field.
8.drag and drop the set property listener to that employee field.
Testing
Enter the input values for the Web service, logging to the BPM worklist, double click that task .it is showing the details when I press the employee id it is not navigating to the employee details page.

Please verify that your project settings for all projects show the following:
J2EE Web Application Name: APPS_HTML J2EE
Web Context Root: /OA_HTML
Note that these values are new for an OA project with JRAD 9.0.3.7 (verify that you are using an OA project).
If that doesn't fix the problem, try deleting your System directory and restarting.

Error while running Create page in standalone-oc4j

I have an ADF Create page (CreateAppt.jsp) that works fine through jdeveloper 10.1.3, but does not work when i deploy and run it on a standalone-oc4j. Appreciate your ideas on what may cause this or debugging tips..
My ADF application flows through two pages:
a List page (ListAppts.jsp has a Create button) -> a Create Page (CreateAppt.jsp)
When I click on the Create button on the List page, I arrive at the Create Page.
When I run through jdeveloper, I see that all input fields in the Create page are empty, which is what I expect. However, when I open the same page on standalone-oc4j, all the input fields are populated with the first row in the List Page, and there is an error:
JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:oracle.jbo.domain.Number with value:oc4jadmin
For input string: "o"
I designed the Create page using the generic Data Control Palette, by dragging the VO and dropping it with this option: Create->Forms->ADF Creation Form
When running through standalone-oc4j, why is the Create page populated? and how is the standalone-oc4j login string, "oc4jadmin", used in the create?

Hi,
this sounds strange and cannot be diagnosed from remote. If it works in JDeveloper with the embedded OC4J then is works the same in stand alone OC4J. Having "oc4jadmin" showing seems that you look up a value from the request and assign it to the application. Note that you don't need to be logged in to OC4J to see ADF faces apps running.
The problem seems to be in your application. Can you reproduce this with a simple testcase?

my problem here is
i have 15 columns
i am executing a query based on the values of the column(column name) in the target page
1)here i am passing(all) the column values to the next page-but i want to pass only one column values(column name)
when i click on any cell of that column
OR
2)i can pass all column name to target page -there(in the target page) i can filter out
i think option 1 would good if you filter out the unwanted columns

How can I add a custom attribute to the create page dialog?

I followed the following link to add a custom attribute called starred and this attaribute can be displayed in siteadmin grid

Problem in Return Navigation in Create Page

We are initializing a createAddressPage From CreateShipmentPage (Custom Pages)
On CreateShipmentPage we have written the defaulting logic on EoImpl for selecting ShipmentID on basis of sequence and we have a subtab region on CreateShipmentPage in which we are redircting to the createAddressPage when clicked on Create Address button.
while coming (returning) back to the CreateShipmentPage from createAddressPage , shipment id is getting populated with the new squence value. but our requirement is to have same sequnce value which was populated initially

Automatic Row Processing - Preset a value with value from other page

Hi everybody,
I have created a form on a table with report. I added a dropdown field to a sidebar region on the first page the groups and selects only a couple of these entries. (Think: only people for the department selected in the drop down field). Now when I click on the normal create button the id field for the department should be filled automatically with the value from the page before, where something was already selected in the drop down field. The id field is a hidden field on the actual create page. Maybe it is not working because the field is linked to the database column to make the automatic row processing work or something. I tried computions on both pages and setting the values. Nothing seems to do the trick.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

VKP0 is not to be maintained as mandatory condition while creating IDOC

We have a very awkward need from our client.The bussiness doesnt want the condition type VKP0 to be mandatory condition while creating IDOC for article master data.
In the bussiness terms they send some articles to POS without creating price.They dont want to have the value of KONWERT field as 'ZERO'..
We have upgraded ECC 5.0(IS Retail) to ECC 6.0(IS Retail).It was techinical upgrade hence no functional configuration has been done.
Moreover we have compared POS outbound profile in ECC 6.0 with ECC 5.0.Every configuration is same and all required prerequisites for POS Outbound profile are same in both the versions.The Idoc in ECC 5.0 is getting created even though the price of the artilce is not required to be mainatained.
All of us know that if prices are not maintained system shows'X' mark in price field in T.Code WPER2.
But,instead the IDOC is getting created in ECC 5.0.
Please help us to make the IDOC creation possible in ECC 6.0 even without creating the price.

ADF 10.1.2 - a view page follows by edit page and create page

Hi,
I am trying to maintain a simple ADF application written by other people who left the organization.
The structure of the application is that a view page listing the records of a table has edit and create buttons. Both edit and create functionality are currently implemented using an identical set of uix, UIModel and action.java files.
I want to use different sets of uix, UIModel and action.java for edit and create functionality such that edit and create forms can have different features. I changed structs-config.xml to add a new page for the create form and created forward links to go from the view page to the create page and backward. I created a set of uix, UNModel and action.java files for the create form. When I debug the application, the edit functionality remains the same. I can go from the view page to the create page. But when I click cancel, I get:
Warning: No Method onRollback and no actionBinding Rollback found
Also, the create form also picks up some of the fields of the current record (similar to edit) but none of the choice lists work.
The following extracts from struts-config.xml demonstrate a strange behavoir.

How to default value from popup page to main page.

Hi,
Requirement:
I have a create page with table region of 10 lines.I have an icon for every line and on click of this icon, a popup window will be opened.
In the popup window i have quantity field with a table region. User is allowed to select the quantity. Also i have a ADD button on the popup page.
Now On selecting the quantity and click on add button, the quantity should be added and the sum quantity should be defaulted to quantity field in the main page.
For this requirement what i have done is
I have added the quantity on click of the Add button.and the total quantity i set to the quantity attribute that has been attached to main page.
But the quantity didnt get reflect to the main page. i think the focus is not retured o main page.
Please suggest me how can i do this requirement.

Hi,
As per my analysis for the issue, the control is returning to processRequest of the controller and when i set the attribute value, the value is being set and I am able to get the value and print it.
But the value is not displayed on the page.Here I am using Advanced Table Region, and I am not able to shoe the value.
I also created one view attribute and tried to set the readonly property to TRUE for the same field. I did in the same way, the value is being set and the field is made readonly.
The problem is I am not able to show value to the user, even the value is present in the view attribute.
Any pointers to this are really helpful.

Viewer slow while retrieving data while changing value from a page item

Hi, I am using 9.0.2 to create reports. My end-users are using Viewer to run these reports. Recently, we are experiencing performance problems with Viewer. We have reports with Page Item. Let say a report takes 1 min to run. After running the report if a different value is selected for a page item, it is takes another 1 min to get new data. Whereas, Desktop is not taking any additional time (noticable) for a different value for the page item. Recently, we are experiencing this problem. I thought that it was cache problem in Application server, so we restarted all the pieces in aps server. However, the problem still exists. We are using a materialized for this particular report.
Any tips would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

The performance differences can be attributed to the differences in product. Desktop is a client server product. A query executes and ALL data is returned to the desktop. You can manipulate that data in any way and the database is not required. Web (Plus/Viewer) only return the data needed to satisfy the query currently being viewed. If you change a page item, a database call is made to retreive additional/different data.
In other words this is just how things work. You can alter settings in your prefs.txt file to improve performance in Viewer/Plus. Changing number of rows returned, memory settings, row fetch limits, rows per fetch all can improve/reduce performance.
As best I know there is not a "magic" setting for these values. It is based on the server/volume of data/workbook content/ workbook layout. etc. Crosstab workbooks are much slower to return data than page -detail.

Passing values to iframed page with flash chart.

Hi,
I'm trying to dynamically generate a series of charts within a sql report.
In my report i make several calls to a page with a (flash) chart and i pass some values to this page/chart by setting page items through the source url of the iframe.
The problem is that all the iframed instances of the page in my report display the same data although each iframe sets specific page item values through its source url.
(only the page item values that were set by the last call to the page are being used by all the other chart instances)
So why does this happen?
Are the iframed charts rendered to slow?
Is this a flash problem?
Should i call each iframe within a seperate session?
And does anyone know how to correctly pass values to the iframed page / chart so each instance of the page/chart displays the correct data?

Solved my problem by leaving the SESSION part blank in the src url of the iframe.
Apex creates a new session for every iframe now, the page items values are not overwritten and the data is displayed correctly.
