Mappings parameters - How to send a password?

Hi gurus,
We need to establish a connection with a remote server inside a Java Mapping and the proxy server requests user and password. Since we don't want to hardcode this values, we want to pass them as parameters of the mapping. But we found that there is no way to "hide" the password when setting it's value in the interface determination. We tried setting the parameter name as "pwd_" like in Adapter Modules but it did not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Some indirect options for this : Since xi / pi does not support encryption or decryption directly.
I suggest you to write adapter module or java mapping or you can buy an external adapter which does this job for you. Please check this thread where you have few blogs and documents for all these:

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

For GET request. I am using bleow and it is workin fine.

I am trying to sending some data to agency company over http using Java POST
They need 3 parameters and some contents like below

I already have XML done ,but I don't know how to send these guy over http
is that like

First of all, are you getting any exception?
You didn't put much logging information in your code.
You can also try this.Instead of doing sos.println(".....") try to build the output string using string buffer.
Like:
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
sb.append("Some output");
sb.append("More output");
sos.print(sb.toString());
sos.flush();Let me know if this works.

I am using BIApplicationFrame ui element for this.
I set the template id in template property of BIApplicationFrame.
I have to execute a query of this template.
So i selected the option 'query' of dataProviderStateType property.

I did not find any help ( Example tutorial ) for BIApplicationFrame UI element in SDN.

I am trying to workout how to send XML data to a webserver using UTL_HTTP but am not getting any reply

Yikes - how embarassing ! Thanks for pointing out my beginners mistake there. I've fixed my code - and also implemented the substitutions of parameters like you suggested - I like that approach.
Unfortunately the end result is no better - the line
utl_http.read_text(resp,response_text);
Still returns nothing back

I guess I will need to try chasing it with the fastsms vendor so see if they can check my incoming request and see if there are any glaring problems. I know the xml is correct as I am now logging the xml string just before I send it and when I take that string and put it in their test form it works perfectly - something else in the puzzle is missing. I've had no experience using utl_http before - perhaps it's no possible to read the xml repsonse using this ?

MDM lookup parameters from File Sender Channel

Hi SDNers,
In my current assignment I am required to make an SAP MDM lookup in a JAVA Mapping to fetch certain details to further process the message.
Currently the MDM server details along with user id and password are maintained in a properties file.
During Migration from Development to Quality or from Quality to Production Environment this properties file needs to be changed and the mapping needs to be reimported individually in each environment.
I want to avoid this cumbursome task of changing the properties file and re importing the Java Map on each environment.
Is there any way to mention the following 3 parameters in the Sender Channel itself (in my case it is FIle Channel)
Server IP Address, User ID, Password? so that the Java Map at runtime can access these parameters from the channel, as each environment will have different channel.
I don't know if I can use ASMA or Additional Parameters for achieving this.
