Maximum size of a SAP screen ?

Hi,
for an ALV OO grid a need to maximize the SAP screen, container and ALV grid depending on the screens resolution.
Some people do use widescreens, other ones use normal screen. The ALV report should be maximized for both type of users.
Is this possible ?
regards,
Hans

Yes it is possible.
try to Copy the same screen or  Change the screen attributes to similar to the program and screen mentioned.
Program:          SAPLSLVC_FULLSCREEN
screen number: 500
Lines/Columns   Occupied 200   240
                Mainten. 200   240
and in the screen layout
For custom Controll you make the Height 240, Vis.length 240 , Height 200
then it will be a fullscreen.
so for every one it appears as Full screen.

  • How to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?

    hi All
That's great when using SQL Dev.
But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .
Appreciate for anyone to help us.
    Thanks all.
    Sigmasvn

You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.

  • Problem with SAP Screen

Not sure if this is the correct forum.
Okies, a user of mine has a problem with her SAP screens. It seems that she can't view the full screen of CJ20N She has to drag the window bigger to be able to see the content. She uses this window in a split monitor view, i.e. some of the applications are displaying on the laptop window while other applications display on the monitor.
    Details of her SAPGUI:
    Release 640 Final
    File version: 6404.4.16.1015
    Build: 774474
    Patch Level : 16
Do note that her primary monitor (notebook) is always set to 1280x800 and the secondary monitor is set to 1024x768. Anyone encounter this problem before?

    Hi,
This is problem with windows screen resolution. Better to use, maximum supported window size and make sure to use same size for both the screens.

  • I want to set a maximum size for pictures when FF shows websites. How can i do that? NO I DONT MEAN "HOW TO ZOOM".

I have FF 34 but this problem has been there for a lot of earlier versions. On many webpages there are pictures that cover my whole screen, and I want to set maximum size for showing images on webpages.
I ONLY wanr to change the maximum size of the images, AND IAM NOT asking about how to zoom the webpage.

Do you want to hide large images or merely make them smaller by setting a max-width and max-height?
You would probably have to use JavaScript (bookmarklet) to achieve this reliably.
There are bookmarklets to make large images fit in the window to avoid a horizontal scroll bar
You can try this code in the <b>userContent.css</b> file (adjust the max-width accordingly).
    <pre><nowiki>img { max-width: 1024px !important; height: auto !important; }</nowiki></pre>
The customization files userChrome.css (user interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the <b>chrome</b> folder in the Firefox profile folder.
*Create the chrome folder (lowercase) in the <xxxxxxxx>.default profile folder if this folder doesn't exist
*Use a plain text editor like Notepad to create a (new) userContent.css file in the chrome folder (file name is case sensitive)
*Paste the code in the userContent.css file in the editor window
*Make sure that you select "All files" and not "Text files" when you save the file via "Save file as" in the text editor as userContent.css.<br>Otherwise Windows may add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with a not working userContent.css.txt file

    Hello all,
I have a big issue on our Development - SAP PI 7.10 System. If I try to push a RFC from a Client System

P.S. We have the same scenario in our Quality SAP XI System and there works. I couldn't find any

    Hello Tarang Shah,
okay. Here again ( I thought I mentioned above):
in Q50 (SAP PI 7.10 System) we create a RFC Server with the program ID RFC_Q50.
in D64 (SAP PI 7.10 System) we vreate a RFC Server with the program ID RFC_D64
in D07 (SAP R/3 4.7 x110) we create a RFC Connection to D64 with the program ID RFC_D64.
The testconnection works well. I see in our Dev. SAP PI System (D64) that the connection works.
The problem is here, if you start in the application (System D07) the push, you get the error :

in Q50 (SAP R/3 4.7 x110) we create a RFC Connection to Q50 with the program ID RFC_Q50.
The testconnection in Q17 works well. Also the push from the application (System Q17.)
This means, the functionallity is okay on both sides (Q17 and D07) only the application sending
process from D07 makes trouble ( you see in Transaction SM 58 on Client Site, the error as I mentiond above and in SAP PI side.) It seems that SAP PI could't accept more as one LUWs
in the same time. Q50 (Q- System) accepted.
So, this is the reason in my point of view, that the problem isn't the connection, seems more
an paramter problem in D64 side. But I don't know which parameters. I checked the OSS Note 730870 and 774705 w/o success.

  • Maximum size of a data packet

The maximum size of data packet set in configuration is 25MB.
I want to change the size of data packet as 50 MB. I don't want to change it globally(in SPRO). I want to change it only for specific info-package.
But in info-package system does not allow to change the packet size more than 25MB.
    Please suggest the way.
    Regards,
    Dheeraj

    Hi..
MAXSIZE = Maximum size of an individual data packet in KB.
The individual records are sent in packages of varying sizes in the data transfer to the Business In-formation Warehouse. Using these parameters you determine the maximum size of such a package and therefore how much of the main memory may be used for the creation of the data package. SAP recommends a data package size between 10 and 50 MB.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/directforumsearch?threadid=&q=cube+size&objid=c4&daterange=all&numresults=15
MAXLINES = Upper-limit for the number of records per data packet
The default setting is 'Max. lines' = 100000
The maximum main memory space requirement per data packet is around
    memory requirement = 2 * 'Max. lines' * 1000 Byte,
meaning 200 MByte with the default setting
3     THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATING NUMBER OF RECORDS
The formula for calculating the number of records in a Data Packet is:
packet size = MAXSIZE * 1000 / transfer structure size (ABAP Length)
                        but not more than MAXLINES.
eg. if MAXLINES < than the result of the formula, then MAXLINES size is transferred into BW.
The size of the Data Packet is the lowest of MAXSIZE * 1000 / transfer structure size (ABAP Length) or MAXLINES.

  • Maximum size of a JComboBox in a GridBagLayout

I'm having a problem with a JComboBox inside a GridBagLayout. The general layout is a GridBag with labels / combo / textfields on the first line, a large table in a scrollpane that takes all columns on the second line, and a few labels / combo / textfields on the third.
As long as the combo on the first combo is empty, it looks fine. When it gets populated, the combo gets resized to the size of the largest text. I would like to have it smaller and truncate the text.
I tried to set maximum size, but the GridBag doesnt care. I've been trying with weightx but no success.
    What should I do ?

And I would be interested which LayoutManager you prefer using.I don't use a single Layout Manager. I use a combination of Layout Managers to do the job. Thats why this question doesn't have a specific example. Remember LayoutManagers can be nested. The default layout manager for a frame is a border layout. That great for the general look of your application.
    a) you add a toolbar to the north
    b) you add a status bar to the south
    c) you add your main panel to the center.
the main panel in turrn may use nested panels depending on your requirements. I don't do a lot of screen design but I typically use BorderLayout, FlowLayout, GridLayout and BoxLayout. GridBagLayout and SpringLayout have too many constraints to learn and master. They may be good for a GUI tool that only uses a single layout manager for the entire GUI, but I believe a better design is to break down the form into smaller more manageable areas and group components and use the appropriate layout manager for the group. That may or may not be a GridBagLayout for the small group, but I don't think you should force the entire form to use a GridbagLayout.

    Hi,
Under certain conditions, an Open SQL statement with range tables can be reformulated into a FOR ALL ENTRIES statement:
        DESCRIBE TABLE range_tab LINES lines.
        IF lines EQ 0.
          [SELECT for blank range_tab]
        ELSE.
SELECT .. FOR ALL ENTRIES IN range_tab ..
          WHERE .. f EQ range_tab-LOW ...
          ENDSELECT.
        ENDF.
Since FOR ALL ENTRIES statements are automatically converted in accordance with the database restrictions, this solution is always met by means of a choice if the following requirements are fulfilled:
    1. The statement operates on transparent tables, on database views or on a projection view on a transparent table.
    2. The requirement on the range table is not negated. Moreover, the range table only contains entries with range_tab-SIGN = 'I'
and only one value ever occurs in the field range_tab OPTION.
This value is then used as an operator with operand range_tab-LOW or range_tab-HIGH.In the above example, case 'EQ range_tab-LOW' was the typical case.
    3. Duplicates are removed from the result by FOR ALL ENTRIES.This must not falsify the desired result, that is, the previous Open SQL statement can be written as SELECT DISTINCT.
For the reformulation, if the range table is empty it must be handled in a different way:with FOR ALL ENTRIES, all the records would be selected here while this applies for the original query only if the WHERE clause consisted of the 'f IN range_tab' condition.
FOR ALL ENTRIES should also be used if the Open SQL statement contains several range tables. Then (probably) the most extensive of the range tables which fill the second condition is chosen as a FOR ALL ENTRIES table.
    OR
What you could do in your code is,
    prior to querying;
since your select options parameter is ultimately an internal range table,
    1. split the select-option values into a group of say 3000 based on your limit,
    2. run your query against each chunck of 3000 parameters,
    3. then put together the results of each chunk.
For further reading, you might want to have a look at the Note# 13607 as the first suggestion is what I read from the note.

  • How to set an empty JPanel to maximum size?

    Hello!
    I created class extends JFrame.
I want this maximum size so I set the minimum size as screen size:
    setSize(screenWidth,screenHeight);
Now I added an empty JPanel,
and I want it to be the maximum size.
But the problem is - I don't know what is the maximum of the current size without the frame borders. I mean, after set it to maximum size (I don't know how),
I could get the width and height of the current size without the frame borders by:
    frame.getContentPane().getSize();
In conclusion, I want to set an empty JPanel to maximum size and get JFrame size without the frame borders.
    Thanks!

You cannot make a component break out of its container, that's for sure. So assuming you want the component to grow to the maximum size inside its container, that should already happen when you add the component to the CENTER position of the JFrame's container. By default it has a BorderLayout.

  • Maximum size of a single update metadata.

    Hi,
Based on one of the documents from SAP,
When you are creating dimensions for your application set you should be aware of the following maximums for any one dimension.
u2022 The maximum number of fields in a table (a dimension = 1 table) is 1024.
u2022 The maximum record size is 8064 bytes (a record = 1 row in a table)
The two maximums above relate to the underlying SQL database in which BPC information and data is stored. They need further explanation as to how they relate to a BPC dimension. In BPC a field equals a property. So you can have up to 1024 properties in a dimension. One other factor that has an impact on the actual number of properties you can have in a dimension is the number of levels you have defined. SQL Server creates a set of properties for each level within the dimension. For example, you have 10 properties and three levels in your dimension, your total number of fields is 30. The second limiting factor is the size of the record. To determine record size you have to figure out the number of bytes (a byte equals a character) in each level. Since levels are repeated you only need to figure out the number of bytes in the first level and then multiply that number by the number of levels. To come up with the total number of bytes for a level you simply add up the field size for each field and multiply it by 2 (1 character = 2 bytes).
Hope this gives you some idea.

  • Maximum size of a dimension

Is there  a maximum size of a dimension?  I know there are limits for the number of properties and the size of a row.  However, is there a limit to the overall size of the dimension or a "best practice" as far as sizing dimensions?

  • What is the maximum size a sender SOAP adapter can handle?

    Hi,
I am using sender SOAP adapter and receiver RFC adapter.
What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
when the request message/file is of such size?
    regards
    Arun G

    hi,
    >What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
it totally depends on your hardware and flow design inside XI/PI
    >In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
this size is not a lot for a "normal" XI machine but it also depends on the
volume of those messages - that is if you need to send
one message like that per day or 1000 per half an hour...
    >Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
when the request message/file is of such size?
SAP's general recommendation is to use messages around 5mb
but it heavily depends on other factors so don't threat it as a must

    Hello,
    CM Repository in DB Mode:
If there is a large number of write requests in your CM usage scenario, set up the CM repository in database mode. Since all documents are stored in the database, this avoids unintentional
    external manipulation of the data.
    CM Repository in FSDB Mode:
In this mode, the file system is predominant. If files are removed from or added to the file system, the database is updated automatically.
If you mainly have read requests, choose a mode in which content is stored in the file system. If this is the case, make sure that access to the relevant part of the file system is denied or
    restricted to other applications.
What is the maximum size of the document that we can upload in a CM (DB) and CM (FSDB) without compromising the performance ?
There are the following restrictions for the databases used:
    ·  Maximum number of resources (folders, documents) in a repository instance
FSDB: No restriction (possibly limited by file system restrictions)
       DBFS and DB: 2,147,483,648
    ·  Maximum size of an individual resource:
FSDB: No restriction (possibly limited by file system restrictions)
DBFS: 8 exabytes (MS SQL Server 2000), 2 GB (Oracle)
       DB: 2 GB
Maximum length of large property values (string type):2,147,583,647 byte
What is the impact on the performance of Knowledge Management Platform and on Portal Platform when there are large number of documents that are in sizes somewhere from 100 MB to 500 MB or more.
The performance of the KM and Portal platform is dependent on the type of activity the user is trying to perform. That is a heavy number of retrievals of the large documents stored in the repository for
read/write mode decreases the performance of the patform. Searching and indexing in the documents will also take a propertionate amount of time.

Technically speaking the VM has a restriction according to plattform.  W2k is somewhere around 1,2G and Solaris, I believe, 4G.
Say for instance I was on a W2k box I allotted 500+ for my J2EE Engine that would leave me with the possiblity to upload close to 600mb documents max.
See if the attached documents (610134, 634689, 552522) can provide you some guidance for setting your VM to meet your needs.
