How do I get the code of selected message from my inbox in Messge/Alter overview window through DI API

Sorry I was busy last week and could not check your message. I got it to get the alertcode from alert/mesage overview screen. I just generated a message with three message data columns through DI API with link on two of the columns. I am just wondering how I would handle those links from Alert/Messge overview window to open my SAP Addon documents which are created in .NET and not using UDO's

Unable to Change Withholding Tax Base Amount while creating Service AP Invoice through DI API?

Dear All,
I am trying to create Service AP Invoice through DI API.
If I post the document without changing SAPPurchaseInvoice.WithholdingTaxData.TaxableAmount the dount ocument is created in SAP without any problem.
But if I change amount in above field then DI API throws error Unbalanced Transaction.
If I post same document in SAP with changed base amount it got posted in SAP without any Issue.
Where I am doing wrong?
please guide.

Enabling a User through OIM API

Hi I am trying to enable a user through OIM API, However the end date is already passed for that user, I am setting up a new end date through the Program (showm below). However the update user is not working (i am not sure).

So, the access policies are getting evaluated, triggering provisioning processes.
What I am planning to do is, to disable the access policies and try to run the Program.
Because of this issue, my Program is throwing an error (until I looked into the opmn logs, it doesn't make sense).

Have you tried adding the same document with the client ?
OACT is the accounts table and this error message typically indicates that there is an account parameter missing somewhere in the system.
Possible causes include:
- you are using a tax group or warehouse which does not have all the required accounts set
- There is a price rounding and the rounding price account has not been set in the account settings
- etc.
The first things I would check include the tax group settings and the G/L Account determination settings.

How should I go about getting the start and end dates for an iteration through the API?

Payment through DI API

Hi All,
In our addon we are creating AR Invoice and Payment document through DI API . We have tested the addon as a logistic user , it is working fine, but when we try to open the incoming payment through SAP Business One it will give an error message "You cannot open window[170] Receipt with your current license" . My doubt is that if we create payment through DI API as logistic user is this a violation of SAP license ? Please advise me..

From my experience - we created through DI API document for which limited user has no acces through UI, customer was happy that with limited licence they may work. Unfortunately after few months in new patch this was corrected and cutomer had to upgrade licences.
So I think it will be corrected by SAP development team in few future patches and it will not work as now already.

I have created UDO through DI API successfully, now I want to update the UDO through DI API code, and want to add some more child tables, but I am unable to do that, its showing me message that UDO successfully updated but when I am checking through B1, I can see that newly created child tables are not ticked in the check boxes. We produce television spots and I am generally SO happy with the Adobe CS suite and Premeire since we moved from Final Cut Pro. There are some gotchas i would like to see repaired but lately we are crashing too often and we keep getting this error.

Handling a warning message in BDC through RFC

Hi all,
I have a requirement where I have to do a CALL TRANSACTION using a RFC Fn. Module.
This is for sending time sheet data to CATSDB thru CAT2 (T-code). In the process of time entry I have to go through a warning message (time entry for saturday & sunday ) and save the time sheet. I have recorded all this thru SHDB and created the BDC. The FM works fine in the back end. It is also fine when this RFC is called in the front end from a portal, except for the warning message part. The FM errors out when called thru portal for uploading data for saturday or sunday.
There seems to be no problem when I call this function module in the backend using a custom program and try to save time for saturday and sunday. I have tried various options and founnd that the RFC is failing only when called for saturday and sunday. Somehow the BDC part where the warning message is handled is causing the error.
One of my colleague said, the backend is trying to return a dialog box/screen (warning message pop up) to the fucntion module which is not being accomodated or something of that sort????
Is this true??? So does this mean I cannot do it the way I am trying to.
Any suggestions and thoughts on why this is happening. Am I missing something here???

I was probably not very clear in stating my problem. I do not have to display the error or warning message.
During time entry,when I click SAVE button, I get a warning message, to get through this message I have to hit ENTER again (now the time sheet is saved). All this I have recorded in SHDB and used in the BDC.
Now my problem is this BDC for saturday & sunday (the warning message comes up for these days) does not work when the RFC is called from the portal, whereas the time sheet is saved without any errors when I try to call this from the back end.
Also the RFC works fine for the rest of the days both in the back end and also when called from the portal.
I hope I am clear.....

Is there a way to get voice messages to play through a stereo?

I have a car stereo that I just plug my 5s right into. It's great for Spotify and podcasts and whatnot, but horrible for messaging.
We'd been using Voxer for years for voice messaging, but it refused to play the messages through the stereo, so you'd have to disconnect it while driving, listen to the message, respond, then plug it back in and start everything back up again. Then, of course, whoever you were messaging would respond, and you'd have to repeat the process. The only alternative would be to *not* plug it back in and listen to music until the conversation was over, which isn't always easy to determine if you have talkative friends.
The whole thing would go away, of course, if Voxer would play audio through the lightning port to the stereo. So when the voice messages were announced for the Messages app, I was *pumped*. Woo, no more disconnect/reconnect shuffle just to use voice messages.
But it works the same way -- voice messages come out through the speakerphone on the phone, which is inaudible in my car. Is there any way to redirect the audio through the lightning port?

Assigning roles to LDAP users through BIP API

Hi.
My customer has BIP 11g and OIM 9.1.0.2 running on the same weblogic server (11g). Both authenticate against the same LDAP server.
One of our desired next steps is to provision from OIM the BIP roles to each LDAP user so every user gets the correct roles (and access to the correct reports) according to the groups he has on OIM.
I've been searching for info regarding this without success. The BIP API doc does not show any info about assigning roles to users.
We don't need to manage LDAP users, BIP roles, etc... through OIM. We only need to assign BIP roles to LDAP users.
Is it possible to make that assignments through BIP API?
If not, any other ideas? New ideas or different approaches are welcome.

In OBIEE 11g which includes BIP the application roles are applied to LDAP users and groups using the Enterprise Manager Fusion Control.
During the upgrade process from OBIEE 10g to OBIEE 11g the groups do get assigned to these roles transparently so there must be some API to leverage this functionality.

There are no specific instructions on accomplishing what you seek but if you have some WLST or Java Skills you should be able to get something prototyped.
