Method to call a FORM dynamicly

Hi,
    Is there a method to call a form dynamicly? I need something to replace "PERFORM FORM1" to "PERFORM variable".
Thanks
Lilan

Hi Lilan
I think its useful for u.
DATA : BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
          objid TYPE i,
          endda TYPE d,
       END OF itab.
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <ttext>.
itab-objid = 1.itab-endda = sy-datum.
APPEND itab.
itab-objid = 2.itab-endda = sy-datum.
APPEND itab.
itab-objid = 3.itab-endda = sy-datum.
APPEND itab.
itab-objid = 0.itab-endda = sy-datum.

APPEND itab.
itab-objid = 5.itab-endda = '99991212'.
APPEND itab.
itab-objid = 0.itab-endda = '99991212'.
APPEND itab.
CLEAR itab.
LOOP AT itab.
  WRITE : / itab-objid , itab-endda.
ENDLOOP.
WRITE :/.
DELETE itab WHERE endda+0(4) NE '9999' AND objid IS INITIAL.
ASSIGN 'PRINT' TO  <ttext>.
PERFORM <ttext>.

  • Calling a form in a dynamic page

    Hi all,
    We are using dynamic pages for the creation of custom portlets. We can call a report in html tag by calling report.show procedure. What will I write for calling a form?
    Thanx,
    Gulsah

    Gulsah,
    In the component management screen you can find a URL-style "Run Link" which looks like this:
    PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.new_instance?p_moduleid=1060253649
    Also can put this PLSQL code:
    PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.link (
    p_arg_names => '_moduleid', p_arg_values => '[module id]',
    p_arg_names => '_show_header',p_arg_values => 'YES');
    where [module id] is your form id

  • Calling a procedure dynamically in forms

    Hi all
    I'm using Oracle 6, is there anyway to call a procedure dynamically, i mean the procedure called differs according to a certain condition. The procedure is local in the form not in the database, how can this be achieved
    Thanks

    Hello,

    proc3;
    .................. so onWell, i think the way you are showing with IF CONDITION is smart enough to call the procedures. And it will be also easy to understand.
    I'm searching for a way to call the procedure as follows
    proc||cond for exampleBut why? What is the purpose to do like this? Any efficiency or any logical reason?
    Another option You can create one procedure and call the code depend on parameter you pass like
    PROCEDURE MY_PROC(pCond IN NUMBER) IS
    BEGIN
      IF pCond=1 THEN
        -- Do something here...
      ELSIF pCond=2 THEN
       -- Do something here...
      ELSE
       -- Do something here...
      END IF;
    END;And while calling the procedure you can call the procedure by passing the value of pCond upon your requirement like
    MY_PROC(<parameter value>);But still the IF CONDITION exists either you use inside or outside the procedure.

    [http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPPERFORM_FORM.htm#&ABAP_ALTERNATIVE_2@2@]
    When you click on the PERFORM in this case it'll navigate to the corres. program where your FORM is defined.
    I was assuming you're clicking on the FORM & it's not navigating to the PERFORM, my bad !!
    So have you written the PERFORM in the class method & it is not navigating to the FORM when you click on it, correct? See if regenerating the method helps you. You can try:
    1. In the method do Utilities --> Update Navigation Index.
    2. After Step 1, in the class do Utilities --> Regenerate Sections.
    See if this helps.

  • Call javascript function dynamically

    Can this be done to call Javascript function dynamically? What I mean is suppose I use Javascript to submit form and target the reply to a popup window:
      function cForm() {
         win=window.open('','myWin','toolbars=0');
         document.aForm.q.value='12345';
         document.aForm.target='myWin';
         document.aForm.submit();
      }I target the form reply to popup window myWin. Suppose the reply body contains some Javascript function doX(). Is it possible to call doX() automatically, after the submit and the reply is loaded on myWin, maybe using some onload event in the popup window?

    On the PopUo Windows BODY onLoad, call the method doX()

  • Calling infobus form from another.

    Hi
    Here is a brief description of the problem.
    A simple data form is created using JDeveloper2.0's wizard. It is an Infobus based dataframe,which has a simple gridcontrol fetching data from the dept table. This form is in the pacakge,
    package1.
    Another form is made with a master detail relationship between dept and employee table, in the package, package2.
    Now a button control is added on the first form( which is in package1) and the following code is added to the actionperformed event.
    void buttonControl1_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    Frame f = new package2.Frame1();
    f.show();
    Essentially, it calls the form in package2 when the button is pressed. Once this action is performed, the login dialog box of the form in package2 appears. After which it throws the following error and shows a blank form.
    DAC-405: SessionInfo: Application module creation failed; className: ConnectionTrade
    JBO-00200: A Generic exception occurred during loading Customizations.
    null
    If I add a button in the second form, (ie. the one in pacage2 having a master detail relationship) and call dept form (in package1) from here, it works.
    We are stuck with this problem, and unable to proceed with deploying the application. As each form need to be called and invoked from a menu.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ravi

    Hi,
    You can do like this :
    mainApplication(Menu)
    +------------ Frame1
    |
    +------------ Frame2
    In MainApp you call your frame, and remove from code the
    windowListener of the frame. Replace the dispose(); in frame
    methods fileExit(ActionEvent e) & processWindowEvent(WindowEvent
    e), by try { finalize(); } catch (java.lang.Throwable ex) {
    ex.getMessage(); }
    It works great.

    Hi,
    this is the way i am showing a password dialog: i derive this class from JDialog (not from JFrame).
    In its constructor, i make it a modal dialog.
    public class PasswordDlg extends JDialog {
    private boolean ok; // this flag should indicate whether the User has pressed OK or CANCEL
                                 // i omit the code for OK and CANCEL here...
    public PasswordDlg(JFrame owner, String DisplayText) {
         super(owner,DisplayText,true); // true -> modal!
      public boolean showDialog()
        { ok = false;
          show();
          return ok;}
    } Now in my main frame (this is derived from JFrame) in its constructor, i make an instance of my PasswordDlg, call its showDialog method, ask the password from the dialog (i have omitted this method), and then i decide, whether the program should go on or whether i call System.exit(0) in case the password is wrong.

  • To Call Another Form and Save Related MAster Data from a Transaction Form

    Hi
    Our project requires that forms for creating masters be called whenever the value (Key Value) being referenced in other forms are not found. For doing this I had used the When-Validate-Item Trigger and checked for the key value in the master tables and if not present, I use the Call_Form method to call the master form and create the key value and then come back to the Form in which I was working to continue processing the rest of the data.
    It works well if the CAlling forms is in INSERT MODE but Not in UPDATE MODE ( returns a message A Calling Form has unapplied Changes, Cannot Save data (Error: FRM-40403)).
    This same feature I tried to work it out around with a Key-Next-Item Trigger, it works fine for both the cases but as long as the user tabs out of the field from keyboard controls like the Enter Key or the Tab Key. But in case he wishes to click on the next field or some other button with a mouse OR he uses a keyboard shortcut to do some other operation viz. F10 for saving data, the trigger is not fired and that returns a ORACLE error (in case a database Integration issue arises) OR saves an invalid data.
    I would like to know what kind of triggers could we write to exactly call a master form to save a new key value irrespective of whether the calling form is working in INSERT mode or QUERY Mode.
    One way to do it is to use EXIT_FORM(DO_COMMIT, NO_ROLLBACK). But if the Primary/Calling form is closed without a Commit, then the related Master DAta is also Not Saved.
    Please Let me know if we can save the master data whatever be the state of the CAlling Form permanently.
    Thanks and Regards

    You are going to need to POST in the Called Form rather than committing (and make sure that you do not rollback when you exit).
    The Post will insert the master record into the DB but it will not be committed until you issue the commit in the Calling Form.

  • How to make a form Dynamic(Serious Issue)

    Hi,
    I have a problem.
    How to make an Interactive form Dynamic while saving it in NWDS(NetweaverDeveloperStudio).
    Helpful answer is highly rewarded and Highly Appreciated.

    Hello Sankar,
    Do the following:
    1) In your Adobe Livecycle Designer, Select, Edit > Form Properties, in the Default tab, set u201CPreview Typeu201D to u201CInteractive formu201D
    2)
    Assuming you are using Web Dynpro application, then do the following also:
    Place the following code in the wdDoModifyView method of the View where the form is placed.
              IWDInteractiveForm iForm1 = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("<name of your form here");
              iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
    Hope this helps,

  • Call stored procedure dynamically?

    I wrote a bunch of programs in Perl to output different reports. All these programs are very similar: calling a stored procedure in SQL Server, dump the ResultSet into the file in disk ...
    My boss asked me to write a "Generic" program to combine these programs together so that we don't need write endless similar programs any more.
    I decide to write this program in Java. The new program is supposed to take a stored procedure call as an input parameter (reading from a configuration file, maybe?). It will be great if the program can dynamically determine the field names in the ResultSet from the stored procedure call. In another word, there shouldn't be any hard coded field names in the Java Code. The more generic of the program, the better.
    Is this doable? Does anyone have any such experience before? Any idea or recommendation is highly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,

  • Type conflict when calling a FORM

    Hi,
    when we have callled function module "PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT" in out HR-ABAP program then shows the short dump as:
    procedure "PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by
    RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    Call to FORM "IMPORT_RESULT" is incorrect:
    The actual parameter no. 2 has a different data type in the
    PERFORM than requested for the FORM "IMPORT_RESULT" in program "%_T02E40".
    Please provide the solution any one.
    regards,

    In the function module PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT the call to this form is dynamic:
    PERFORM import_result IN PROGRAM (subroutine_pool-name)
                                       USING key
                                              payroll_result
                                              import_subrc
                                              pcl2_version_number
                                              typepool_version_number
                                 IF FOUND.
    As you can see second parameter is payroll_result which is also a changing parameter of the function module PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT, however it is untyped in the interface of the function module. Therefore, you probably do not supply the function module with the variable of the correct type. My suggestion is to place a break point on the SUBMIT statement, check the content of the subroutine_pool-name, find the program that is called, read its source and determine the right type from there.

  • Call a form by name

    We have a Portal form on multiple servers. The form name is identical however the module id numbers are different. When calling the form from a page, it is necessary to hard code the module id into the button or link requiring three sets of code; one for each server instance.
    Is there a method or API available whereby I can obtain the module ID of a form? This will make the code more portable and not require hardcoding of module values. Thanks.

    HI,
    There is an api called wwv_utlmod.get_module_id. This takes two parameters, module name and owner.
    owner is optional.
    Usage
    wwv_utlmod.get_module_id (p_module_name => 'TEST_FORM',
    p_owner => 'PORTAL30_DEMO');
    If the dbuser does not have privileges to run wwv_utlmod then grant it to that user.

  • How to call Interactive form within Workflow ?

    Hi,
    I have created a interactive form within WebDynpro for ABAP which triggers a workflow for approval. Now I would like to open the same interactive form by the approver and approve the request.
    Any input for calling interactive form from Workflow would be helpful.
    Regards
    Ravikumar

    u need to create the events step by step in the workflow.
    first event would be the condition which should be checked so that it gets triggered when the condition is satisfied.
    second would be the the triggering in which u will get this triggered. u need to create a class in which the adobe form's code will be present like the FM it generates etc.in this class u will to write some methods for eg: if u create method say send_mail in this class u will code all the logic for sending the adobe form as a mail and u assign this in the workflow. So now, in the workflow all the methods that u assign will get triggered.

  • Need to call a configuration dynamically in SAP CRM 2007

    Hi,
    I need to call one configuration dynamically. In the runtime one configuration should be called upon fulfilling some conditions.
    I need your help regarding this.
    Points, Guaranteed.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh,
    We have made a solution where we call different configurations based on the UI object type. In the IMG entry called "Define UI Object Types" you can create a new custom object type. This you can use when you configure your view in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB. Here you then copy your standard configuration to a new one. In the new one you set Object type = the object you have created in customizing. And config key you set to the same as you normally use. Then you have two different configurations that can be called depending on your requirements. We call it based on the business role of the users. But you can of course yourself determine on what criteria the method should call one or the other configuration.
    In the method you will need to set the variable cv_object_type to the name of your own object type. Then the system will use this key to determine the configuration. After implementation you will see that it uses this object type by clicking F2 button in the UI.
