Missing read stats for zpool iostat?

I'm working on benchmarking a T5240 w/ ZFS storage pools and a new Hitachi AMS2300. I'm using iozone and bonnie++ to benchmark. Iozone gives me stats for read performance, but the Hitachi doesn't record and read commands. Odd. Using zpool iostat <storage pool> also doesn't report and read commands for any of the tests I've done. Even if i cp a large zip file to the fs and then unzip it, I only get write stats, no read stats. What am I missing here? Do these missing stats have something to do with ZFS?
How can I get reliable performance stats about each zpools workload and performance?

Ive never had any trouble getting read stats out of iostat or zpool iostat.
Well, unless its the first time you unzip'ed it. It could well be cached.
And it you downloaded it. It could have been cached when it was written.
For the sake of sanity checking, try rebooting the box. Then redo the test.
Once you've established that your testing method works, you can see if you can find more convenient methods
of achieving the same thing. Maye unmounting and remounting the filesystem.

Missing Reader Plugin for Chrome

I downloaded Acrobat Reader XI for use on a MacbookPro running OSX 10.8.4, with the intention of using it as my default pdf viewer for Chrome, my web browser of choice. However, after installation there is no Reader plugin in Chrome. I assume it would have installed automatically. And I cannot find a place to download the plugin directly. Did I miss something?

Missing Result state for Transaction iView!

Hi,
I seem to have run into a strange problem - I created a SAP Transaction callable object (NOT an SAP Transaction iView from the Portal) as part of a GP. I have three steps in the GP with this transaction object being the second in the line.
When the transaction object finishes (when the user clicks Complete Step), it needs to move on to the next step - a background callable object.
The problem is that there is no result state created for the transaction object! Without the result state, I naturally cannot define the next target for execution. So the question is, where is this missing result state? Or, what do I need to do to direct the process to the next step?

Yesterday I also found an SAP Note that says that the SAP Transaction CO is now deprecated and that one should use a transaction iView from the Portal.
But all this brings me to the question, how do I pass a parameter to the transaction?
It was possible through the SAP Transaction CO, but it had no result state. Now I have a transaction iView with a result state but seemingly no way to pass a parameter!
I want to use the transaction VA22 to allow the user to change a quotation. The quotation number is to passed to the iView from a WD program in the previous step. It was possible to define an input parameter in the SAP Transaction CO with the technical name of the transaction parameter. But now in the Transaction iView CO, I cannot enter the Technical name with a "-". Since the parameter is VBAK-VBELN, I don't understand how it can be done..
Could you help out here with the whole business?

Hello arora.
You can restrict the READ to an internal table, using "n" conditions in WITH KEY statement.
Use:
READ TABLE it_main INTO wa_inv_master
WITH KEY cusip = wa_record-primarykeyfield1
           field2 = wa_record-field2
           fieldn = wa_record-fieldn
    BINARY SEARCH.
Remember that if you want restrictions like ">=", "<=", "<" or "<", must use LOOP, not READ.

My current program statement is :
LOOP AT it_bdc.
READ TABLE it_konv WITH KEY
      vbeln = it_bdocs-vbeln.
currency =   it_konv-waers.

as you can see the posnr is missing in it_konv how can i modify this read statement so
that vbeln posnr from it_bdc should get correct kbetr from it_konv.

sort it_konv by vbeln
then
loop at it_bdc.
read table it_konv with key vbeln = it_bdc-vbeln binary search.
if sy-subrc = 0.
perform your logic/task.
endif.
endloop.
also it depends what you want to do after reading it_konv.
in my logic if there is a vbeln in it_konv which s present in it_bdc then sy-subrc will be 0
and you can perform your logic.
and if there will be no matching vbeln in it_konv then sy-subrc will not be 0.
check the values in debugging.

sorry, I don't know whether my 1st message was clear, so I am trying to rewrite it.
I'm thinking about a software which creates a database objects list report; this report shows all database objects being accessed by the form - for example, it can list all tables being accessed by the form, showing a CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) for each accessed table, or list all packages being executed by the same form, and so on. For example:
Form: CLI0001.FMB
Package -> Operation
PCK_ACCOUNTS -> E (Execute; but that's a suggestion, we can have 'R' instead)
Table -> Operation
ACCOUNTS -> CR (Create + Read)
PAYMENTS -> D (Delete)
Sequence -> Operation
SEQ_ACCOUNTS -> R (Read)
View -> Operation
VW_CLIENTES -> R (Read)

What exactly does 'zpool iostat' measure?

I am wondering what exactly get measured wher i do an 'zpool iostat [-v]' on a machine, especially regarding the write values. Do those consist only of the writes to the ZIL or do they include the following commits, too?

A brand new Li battery can store a certain amount of current. For a 15" MBP battery, the nominal value for the maximum amount of current it can hold is 5500 mAh (individual batteries will vary). Over time, the max amount of charge a battery can hold (full charge capacity) drops. Your "health" is the full charge capacity of your battery divided by the full charge capacity of a new battery. You can see your full charge capacity in Utilities > System Profiler > Power.
So, 50% health is a full charge capacity of ~2250 mAh. Less charge in the battery means less run time. Apple states that a battery should maintain 80% of it's capacity for 300 cycles. So, if your battery has less than 4400 mAh full charge capacity, and less than 300 cycles on it, call Apple for a replacement. Hello,
I'm getting the error message "com.sap.engine.deploy.manager.MissingSubstitutionException: Missing substitution value for variable [dispatcher.host]." if I'm trying to deploy an SCA file via SDM (remotegui.bat).
It seems that the problem is a missing variable setting. But I couldn't find any hints at the available SAP web sources which values needs to be set.
It would be really great if somebody could give me a hint which steps I need to do to solve this issue.

Yes, it was a really not a default variable.
Replacement of the variables directly at the archive with the correct value did solve the issue.

Adobe Reader support for 64-bit Ubuntu systems

Any attempt to install any current version of Adobe Reader fails...
Usually with a "Wrong Architure - I386" message.
if you try to follow the "new" intructions for using apt-get you get the following...
sudo apt-get install acroread
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package acroread is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package acroread has no installation candidate
Two questions:
1.) Does Adobe have any intensions on supporting 64-bit Linux?
2.) Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get the reader to work on a 64-bit system?

Adobe Reader is 32-bit only, and so is the plugin. This may change some time in the future, but for now it's 32-bit.

"missing return statement" error code

well... i feel like such a n00b... I can't seem to figure out what the problem is with my code, if someone could help me, that would be great. I get an error saying 'missing return statement'. I know that I have some things in here that I don't need but I will need them as I go on making this program.

What does the error say? "Missing return statement"? Then I'm going to venture a guess and say that you're missing a return statement. If you don't know what a return statement is, then you have some learning to do:

Read that, then look at your delay() method and how you call it. And notice that you've made delay() of type "int".

Missing return statement - Java noob here

Hi to everyone! I'll just like to ask if anyone of you can check out my code and see why I can do to correct this 'Missing return statement' problem with my code.
From what I've been noticing, the compiler returns this statement when the return statements are inside conditional clauses. Usually I've been able to remedy it by storing it into another variable that's been instantiated outside my usual 'if' statements. But this time, it was my first time to use a 'try' statement since FileReader and FileWriter won't work without it. I tried to use the same remedy but it just doesn't work. Here's the part of the code I'm having problems with:
