Please do the following:
1. Shutdown J2EE engine
2. Rename the folder
/usr/sap/AST/JC71/j2ee/os_libs/adssap
to another folder name (ex. adssap.old)
3. Start J2EE engine
4. Make sure XMLFormService_native.zip is copied under os_libs f
during starting up engine (synchronize phase)
5. Also make sure XMLform.exe is extracted under
/usr/sap/ AST/JC71/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/
If the files are not there:
Stop J2EE engine
rename version.bin to version.bin.old
this file can be found under /usr/sap/AST/JC71/j2ee/cluster
Start J2EE engine
If deployment is correctly done, native files will be downloaded.

I need to sync clients on the new server without refreshing.
    Help is appreciated.

    Thanks rekounas,
I was out of the office for few days and back again at work.
I made a mistake while running the repwizard.
    now its ok.
Problem was i was using mobileadmin to run repwizard.
But i tried it with database schema(back end) user and password now ok and
running on 10g r3. but it does a complete refresh on the new server. that takes time and i think there should be some parameter to make it only fast refresh.

  • Spotlight fails to load, constantly crashes after Time Machine restore

    Problem description:
After having made the mistake of running a Unix command that altered more files than I intended and possibly damaged the file system, I decided to restore to a previous state with Time Machine. (By the way I am running Yosemite.)
Evidently, something was corrupted with the latest backup, since the system said it couldn’t restore every time I tried to use it. But I succeeded with the second newest backup.
Since the restoration, the Spotlight icon has disappeared from the corner of the menu bar, and cannot be activated with keyboard shortcuts. The same problem exists whether I start in safe mode or from a fresh account.
The .app file still exists in CoreServices, and indexing appears to continue, as I am able to conduct searches through finder windows. I have tried emptying all the caches, restarting SystemUIServer and the menubar itself.
I have never, to my knowledge, instructed an application or the computer to hide Spotlight from the menubar. And though I doubt this is the issue, it is interesting that when I select in Onyx the option to hide it, and then deselect it, there’s a short little flash in the corner where the icon should be as if it tries to start for a moment but for whatever reason crashes.
It appears from the console that every second it is trying to load when this happens:

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Strange prob, can login only at the end of install, it fails after restart

    Hi Every body
I have this strange problem, i don't know where i'm making mistake.
I installed EBS more than 5 times, thought i have made some mistake with pre-installation requirement or post installation requireement, but every time i'm faced with the same problem.
My machine configuration is P4, 3.0GHz, Ram 1 GB, 240 GB HD. with RHEL4 installed. Have created dba usergroup and created user oracle and applmgr made them part of dba group.
I'm doing multi-user installation for Vision Demo data. Logged in as root.
i created a top level directory /sz1/oracle and changed the permission as chmod -R 777 /sz1/oracle
applied pre-installation patch 4198954 as root
verified other pre-installation requirements as per installation guide.
downloaded latest rapidwiz as per note p4159029.
    Started installation as root
specified 'oracle' as owner for DATABASE
specified 'applmgr' as owner for APPLICATION
the installation completed with successfull checks on pre-installation requirements and post-installation checks.
After the completion of installation, i logged in from windows client using the path,
    http://sri.shan.com:8001
i get the installer home page, i chose the application links and logged in to OAM as sysadmin, verified the status. found concurrent manager was not started.
started the concurrent manager manually by running the script sh adcmctl.sh as root. the service started successfully.
then i re-started the Linux box, logged in as root and tried to run the script adstrtal.sh like
    <COMN_TOP>/admin/scripts/VIS_<hostname>/sh adstrtal.sh APPS/APPS
i get the following error message, it is same in all 5 times of installation

  • Storage Array 2530 - 36 @ 2TB HDD -  RAID6

    Hello!
I have my Array up and running using the CAM software but I have a concern and I have little experience and trouble finding documentation on the issues..
    I have a 36 SATA disk 2TB setup, with 3 hot spares. 1x3
My first issue is when creating the Volume/Virtual Disk Etc. It only seems to allow me to use 30 disk drives even though the other 3 are listed as Unassigned.. Is there a limitation to Raid 6 I am unaware of?
My second concern is the initialization time of about 510 Hours.. the job is increasing about 3% per day, does this seem right? The array is not reporting any issues and the firmware was updated.
Again, your support and help is always appreciated.
    Regards and Thanks.

On a file system that big?
Use a volume manager (LVM, ZFS, etc) to spread the file system across multiple RAID arrays. 10-drive RAID-6 arrays are good - 8 data, 2 parity. Pick a segment size for each array such that the RAID stripe size (segment size times number of data drives in array) is no larger than the underlying block size of the file or volume management system you plan to put on it. Multiple underlying RAID arrays will also allow both controllers of the 2530 (assuming it has two) to be used for processing IO, doubling both the effective processing power of the 2530 and the bandwidth to the device since your server will be able to actively use SAN paths to both controllers.
For example, if you use ZFS with its 128k block size, on 8+2 RAID-6 arrays, pick a 16k segment size so you get a 128k RAID stripe width. If you're using ext3 on top of LVM, select a segment size, calculate your stripe width, then use the -datalignment option of "pvcreate" to match your stripe width. Build an even number of RAID arrays, with an equal number on each controller.
If you manually have to partition/label each LUN, make sure you start the disk partition you're going to be writing data to on a RAID stripe boundary. For example, note that ZFS, when given a whole disk/LUN to use, puts an EFI label on the disk and starts its data partition at segment 256, which is at the first 128k boundary, assuming a 512-byte segment size.
On a file system this big, if data availability is critical, I'd also be tempted to use software RAID on top of the multiple RAID arrays. You'll lose a small bit of performance, but it might be worth it. In my experience, block size, segment size, and RAID stripe calculations are nowhere near as important for software RAID as they are for hardware RAID.
It's all trade-offs. The more drives you wind up using for parity, the more available your data will be.
Don't mess around with multiple LUNs off any physical RAID array in your 2530. Just fill the entire RAID array with a single LUN.
To get the best possible availability, if you're using Oracle's CAM to set up the RAID array, don't let it magically select which physical drives to put in each RAID array you build. If you have enough expansion trays, you want to minimize the number of drives you select from each tray. If you have a total of 5 trays and are building 10-drive RAID-6 arrays, for example, only pick two drives from each tray for each RAID array you build. That way, if an entire tray fails (someone goes into the server room and unplugs the wrong device...), you'll minimize the impact and won't lose access to your file system. If you don't have enough expansion trays to build your RAID arrays that way, try to build each RAID array in as few trays as possible. That way a tray failure will have a minimum impact on your file system (hopefully).
And don't forget - RAID is for availability. Backups are for integrity. RAID can't protect you from someone making a mistake and running "rm -f -r ." in the wrong place.

  • Error during installation phase when upgrading  from oracle 10 to 11g

    hi,
We have going to upgrade oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3 in SAP ECC 6.4(DB:oracle, OS:AIX6.1). By mistake I run RUNINSTALLER from wrong path oracle/stage/11203 <dump folder>/database instead of SAP folder.it gives some error message during installation but i continue to installation and installation is completed.
now i worried about error and and wrong path selection, i removed manually new oracle home folder 112_64 and continue to new installation from proper path but now i am getting below error when running RUNINSTALLER from SAP folder
"[INS-10008] Session Initialization failed".and log are  as

  • Can Apple help me?

So I have had an Iphone 5s since April this year. A few weeks ago I was doing the dumb mistake of running down stairs, in flip-flops, while texting on my phone. One little stumble and "Crap" my screen is shattered. I am away at a school is Durham so I had to ship it home to my parents who said they would get it repaired so that is what I did. After a few days of getting it back I noticed that my phone would no longer rotate when put in different positions and there was a slight region on the screen that was "yellow tinted". The phone's battery is also starting to act wonky and I get maybe 4 hours of charge with 100%. I asked them if they got it Apple Certified repaired and they said yea, but just by looking at the phone I could tell that it wasn't "Apple" quality. Is there any chance that Apple will at least replace my battery for $80 if I explained to them the story or is spending hundreds for a new 5s my only option?
    - Please help.

I suggest you start by obtaining the repair receipt from your parents.  Then if indeed it was repaired at an Apple Certified place, check with an Apple Store to see what they will do.  Bring the repair receipt.

  • Folder+Exclamation point, Disk mode, and "Serious system error" in Windows

    Hey there,
A couple days ago, I made the mistake of running with my 4th gen 40gb iPod. After playing for a while, it froze; whatever, it's done this before, and come back. This time, I keep getting the folder and exclamation point icon. Following the FAQ on the support part of the site, I put it into disk mode.
Here's where the frustrating part beings: When I open iTunes and plug in my iPod (either via USB or Firewire), one of two things happens:
In the first instance, iTunes tells me the iPod is corrupt. I click "Restore" and after a while, it tells me that either the necessary data cannot be found, or that an error (1418) has occurred. The farthest I have ever gotten was a progress meter and "Restoring iPod", shortly followed by an error.
In the second, and decidedly more frustrating, after waiting a couple minutes for iTunes to recognize my iPod (my computer does instantaneously), my computer shuts off. Upon restarting, I get a system message from Windows telling me that a serious error has occurred.
I went to an Apple store today and handed one of the workers there my iPod. When HE turned it on, everything seemed to be working...I brought it home, tried to play a song, and found myself back at square one.
Can I restore this thing? I can get it into disk mode, my computer just won't cooperate. Will reformatting my computer help? I am using Windows XP.
    Thanks,
    Ted

    Hi Martha,
Try to do with slightly differnt, open the Disk Utility, go to tab of PARTITION, and do a delete. Then go back to the tab ERASE and click erase with the option format of MAC extended journal. Once it has being complete, open the iPod updater and click RESTORE.

Imovie hd wont open. Tries to open then crashes. All other ilife apps work. Deleted the preferences, reinstalled, installed the updater, ran nortons, still no luck. Any idea what else I can try?

    Hi michael,
    welcome to this forum
.. uuuh, you said the bad word... no, TWO bad words: "reinstalled" is one of them, you don't run windows anymore, but a much more elaborated system, UNIX, which doesn't like (and need) reinstall, or as some say "resinstallation doesn't solve, it generates problems!"
but, the biggest mistake: you run Norton!
that is an absolutely NoGo on a UNIX machine!
A Mac, out of the box, contains much more then 20.000 files (and MacOsX makes two dozends visible...) - Norton's renommee is way below subzero with some Mac afficionados... you have a very high chance that it distroys completely the file structure of MacOsX.... :-/
you can try the suggestions made in this MacWorld article...
if you don't have any other appointments this weekend, I would suggest a complete clean install (reformat drive) of MacOsX... simply drop installer disc into Mac, wait half an hour..., don't forget to save your docs onto some external drive...

  • Hollywood Dazzle and Firewire Hub killed FCP

I made the mistake of running DV devices through a FW hub into the same port on my PowerPC G5 and now FCP 5 won't open at all.
I've unplugged everything and reinstalled FCP to no avail.
How can I fix my problem?
System Profiler says my FW ports are still active and DVD studio pro and other associated applications still work.
    please help!

The Dazzle has anecdotal evidence of being very problematic and don't use a firewire hub in conjunction with any firewire devices and Final Cut Pro.
Do a forum search for the Guinness Solution, you may find the answers within the results. Also do a search for Dazzle and firewire hub and you'll find anecdotal evidence.

  • Cold Backup and Redolog vs. Note1026631.6

    Dear Experts,
I never include the online redolog files in my cold backup but at the end of the note it is said "However, other Oracle documentation states that cold (offline) backups should include backing up online redo log files (see page 8 of Oracle Backup and Recovery Handbook from Oracle Press)..."
Let's imagine we take a coldbackup with online redolog:
    - The SCN was 100 at the time of this backup.
    - The DB crashes (lost datafiles). The SCN is 250.
    - We copy the datafiles and the redolog online.
    - The DB checks the Control file which has SCN=250, the Datafiles and the redolog have got 100. The DB doesn't know what to do isn't it ? I mean it can' recover.
    - If we copy only the Datafiles from the backup, the DB sees 250 in both Control and online redolog and sees 100 in datafiles and knows it has to perform a recovery from 100 to 250.
To me copying the online redolog in a cold back up is more than useless , it can be quite dangerous.
Am I totally wrong and do I miss something fundamental ?
    Thanks for your expertise.
    Regards,
    Guillaume

i totally disagree with you, 393781.
They are two reasons not to backup the redo logs.
    reason 1)
it is consuming tapes and time...
    reason 2)
if you restore it, you may overwrite existing redologs by mistake while running your os-restore, and the existing may be used (with little chance..) to recover the database, even if running in NOARCHIVELOG mode.
They are also a lot of oracle customers which are backing up the redo logs. It is an "easier" approach. You backup everything (the whole filesystem or so), then restore everything, so you are sure you have everything and it is really straightforward.
If you do not have your redologs, you must open your db with resetlogs, which seems to be the correct procedure (you have a new incarnation, have not you? ) but open resetlogs may be dangerous for a junior dba.

  • Dbca xlib connection to "0.0" refused by server errror

i am using oracle enterprise linux 5.4 in virtual machine and i am trying to create a new database using the DBCA
    but when i do this
    an error is returned
XLib: connection to "0.0" refused b server
    XLib: no protocol specified
    exception in thread main
    how to rectify it??

This is often an indication of doing things in the wrong order.
Step 1: Log on to the computer that has an XWindows screen
Step 2: Tell that screen to accept remote requests by issuing "xhost +"
Step 3: Log on to the computer / user that is to use the XWindows
Step 4: Tell that to display on the computer that is to be used for display using export DISPLAY=(host):display.screen
Step 5: Run the program that needs a display
Many people log in to root on the computer and then su to oracle to do the installs. While this is fundamentally a stupid thing to do, because using root unnecessarily increases potential security risks and is it NOT good practice and will it NOT be allowed in any self-respecting business, the following would be the sequence
    1) Log on to XWindows as root
    2) Open a terminal
    3) enter 'xhost +'
    4) enter 'su - oracle'
    5) enter 'export DISPLAY=:0.0'
    6) runInstaller (or use whatever installer is required)
The most common mistake is running xhost after su. This will not work. The xhost must be issued by the first user - the one that owns the screen.
