Mobile site using an accordian panel with menu selections

I watched the adobe muse video here is the link  http://tv.adobe.com/watch/creative-suite-podcast-designers/how-to-create-a-dynamic-sliding -menu-for-your-mobile-website-in-adobe-muse/
In the demo, when you preview it mobile site, the menu is not displayed and when you tap th emenu, the accordian menu displays and pushes all the content down and then when you close it, pushes it back up.
I created a similar test mobile site. But, when I preview it the menu always appear on start up and the content is not pushed down or up when the menu is activated or closed.  I noticed that the options on the accordian widget in the video are different than in my MUSE which is V7.1 build 329.  There is no close all initially check box. Instead I have an overlap item below check box.
So my question is what do I need to do to get this to work as per the video.
Thanks-Bryan

Hello,
I think there may be an issue in how your model/Accordion Menu was configured.  What insert option are you using?  Your destination should only be 'one' row OR 'one' column at the most.
Thanks,
AJ

  • Using Srpy tabbed panels with slidding panels

I am very new to spry and so I am still just figuring it all
out. How I found it was I wanted a tabbed panel like the one on the
IBM website. Anyway, I am trying to
use the tabbed panels with the sliding panels and it just does not
seem to be working. I found
    this
tutorial and followed the codes but it still only works as just the
tabbed panels - nothing has changed at all. Can someone tell me
what I might be doing wrong? I am attaching both my html and css

  • Does the 26C100U lcd tv use a Cinespeed panel with wide viewing angles?

I am nearly ready to purchase a 26C100U lcd tv but I want to verify that it has a Cinespeed panel with wide viewing angles. The reseller's website says that it does but Toshiba's 26C100U pdf spec sheet and web site says it does not. Although Toshiba's pdf spec sheet for the 32C100U model does show a Cinespeed panel. Is it possible that the 26" version does use a Cinespeed panel but it is just not listed? My main concern is the viewing angle (especially vertical) because the tv will be used in a slightly elevated postion.

I see what you mean about the specs.  I'd trust the info on Toshiba's website over the reseller's.  Looks like there's no Cinespeed on the 26C100U.

  • How can I see Web sites using Adobe Flash Player with my IPad?

I've realised that it's not possible to visit web sites using Adobe Flash Player.
Is There a program by which Apple allows you to solve this problem?

Not from Apple, no, and probably never will be. You can try one of the third-party app/service combinations for playing Flash such as Skyfire , Puffin, or iSwifter. One of those might work for you, though they all have limitations and do not work with all Flash-based sites and services. You may find other suggestions for apps in the many other threads on Flash in this forum.

As a note, you can double tap the Home button and select the iPod app as that is what I'm doing now. It's not intuitive and you would think if you select Done you'd go back to the folder list in the iPod app.

  • VI Keydown event interferes with menu selection

My application requires that the user log a data point with a spacebar pressed. To do this, I want to use the Key Down event at the VI level. However, I find that when I include this event it disables the keyboard's Alt- menu selection, even though I'm passing all the parameters through KeyDown unchanged. I've included a skeleton VI that exhibits this behaviour. Has anyone else run into/overcome this problem?

Instead of using keydown, use keyup. I have written the attached VI to decode the scancodes on my computer so that one can tell what key was pressed. Unlike with keydown, this method allows the alt-keys of the window to work and it will indicate a larger number of keys.

  • I need help with my mobile site using Go daddy

my website will not work properly

/candles.html is the regular URL. But, when you convert your site to 'mobile' using GoDaddy, your site passes through a program GoDaddy has developed before it renders as a mobile view for you. The http://www.akacandlesinc.com/candles.html is then encoded as mobile to http://mobile.akacandlesinc.com/#2897 - All of this functionality works normally. When you click on 'Classic', GoDaddy strips off 'mobile.' and shows you the regular website for that 1 instance. From there, however, a cookie is registered on your mobile that you're viewing from a mobile device. At this point, when you click on 'Candles' link from the 'Regular' site from your phone, it tries to take you back to /candles.html URL on http://mobile.akacandlesinc.com - but that page doesn't exist as it's not a physical file that is present on the webserver.
Either GoDaddy is goofing up the conversion or something else is wrong in the way your site is translated as 'Mobile' by GoDaddy.
If i were you, I wont rely on GoDaddy to do the job for me anyway. They're not designers/ developers. They're a hosting company and are equally bad at that as well - I've had and know many people who've had horrendous experiences with them.
I suggest you spend a bit more time in:
either making a responsive site yourself
or make a mobile specific site and use a device-detection code to send your mobile/ handheld visitors to a specific subdomain

  • Accordian panel with plus and minus signs to indicate state of panel

I want the text to show [+] next to the title of the panel when it is collapsed and [-] when it is expanded
    just like http://www.reddit.com/r/indesign/comments/1jewqq/custom_kerning_applied_to_a_single_charac ter/
the comments on this page can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the plus or minus sign
    how do i do this?

I've started filling the accordion with my content and the
cookie works fine. But I see some things I'd like to have changed
    if possible?
    a) When I load the page all accordion panels flips open at
the same time and they stay open until the page has loaded. It's
probably not visible in the demo because it's only a few bytes to
load there. After the page has loaded the cookied panel stays open
and the rest of the panels close. Is it possible to hide the
loading of the panels somehow? This is kinda messy right now.
    b) I'd like to use the cookie to control the panels but only
during the current session. When a new session occurs I'd like to
start with all panels closed a) (or use the script that states
default panel). The standard accordion use a small script to set
the default open panel. I tried modifying this script but it looks
like the accordion is following the laws of the cookie and is now
    ignoring this script.
    Panel 4 set to be default (0, 1, 2, 3):
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var Accordion1 = new
    Spry.Widget.Accordion.prototype("Accordion3");
    </script>

Try posting this on the Adobe Spry forum. You'll also want to
    update your
version of Spry as I believe the newer versions have
    progressed to a fairly
smooth animation. Yours is very, very choppy.
If you have a development budget you might want to have a
    look at our

  • How can I use the tabbed panel with the accordion panel options of close all panels and over/not overlap the items below?

Ideas for features in Adobe Muse

I assume this is what you want to achieve in the footer....
Make sure in Muse before you export that the panel is closed, and also as Brad suggested, make sure Overlap Items Below is unchecked. I would also check the "Can Close All" button.

  • Trying to create table using Union All Clause with multiple Select stmts

The purpose of the query is to get the Substring from the value for eg.
if the value is *2 ASA* then it should come as ASA
where as if the value is *1.5 TST* the it sholud come as TST like wise for others too.
I am trying to execute the below written SQL stmt but getting error as:
*"ORA-00998 must name this expression with the column alias 00998.00000 - Must name this expression with the column alias"*
    CREATE TABLE TEST_CARE AS
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3), len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =5
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3), len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =7
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3), len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =14
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3),LEN FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =7 AND old_care_lvl ='Regular'
I want to create the table using the above given multiple select using the Union ALL clause but when trying to create run the query getting error as "ORA-00998 must name this expression with the column alias 00998.00000 - Must name this expression with the column alias"
Please guide me how to approach to resolve this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

When you create a table using a SELECT statement the column names are derived from the SELECT list.
Your problem is that one of your columns is an expression that does not work as a column name SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3)What you need to do is alias this expression and the CREATE will pick up the alias as the column name, like this:
    CREATE TABLE TEST_CARE AS
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3) column3, len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =5
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3), len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =7
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3), len FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =14
    UNION ALL
    SELECT row_id, old_care_lvl,SUBSTR(old_care_lvl,3),LEN FROM test_care_lvl
    WHERE LENGTH(old_care_lvl) =7 AND old_care_lvl ='Regular'
);You may not like the name "column3" so use something appropriate.

  • Help Using Spry tabbed panel as a menu.

Thanks in advance to all who take the time to read and any assistance you can offer.
I'm picking up where someone else started a website. They used Spry tabbed panels as a menu system (CS4). Each Panel is a top-level "menu" and when it opens, sub-menus (hyperlinks) come up vertically under the panel.  I REALLY don't want to start over if I don't have to - need the site up and running - but cannot figure out how to make the "HOME" tabbed panel (the first one) actually take users back to the home page.  For now, I've created a "submenu" (link) under HOME tabbed panel to help the user navigate back to the home page.
    HELP?
    http://www.orange.k12.nc.us/ec/beta/default.html

Thank you Gramps - for your prompt and helpful response!  Your solution absolutely fixed the problem I asked about.
If I had followed forum advisories and asked the question correctly, the navigation on this website would probably be working perfectly by now. Your solution fixes the home page.  Can you look at one more page and advise please??
On the "subpages" of this site, the same tabbed panel "fake menu" exists.  I replaced the equivalent line of code in the template for those pages (at line 45) with what you gave me.  I'm obviously missing something in the code to send the user back to the HOME page from these pages.
In the sample link below, you will be starting from a "subpage" of the site.  Clicking on the "HOME" tab leads you not to the actual home page (default.html in the root directory) but to a default.html page within the subdirectory for the page you are on (which doesn't exist.)  Can I add something to that line of code to get them back to the home page?
    Again... thank you!!

  • Re: Spry Accordian Panels

Hi.  I used Spry Accordian Panels in a new website I created using Dreamweaver CS6.  Most people can see and click the panel to open it and see the content in it.  However, I know someone that's blind that would like to use the site but is having a lot of trouble with it.  The panel tabs are not links so it doesn't tell him to click it.  I've tried putting the tabindex attribute on each panel tab and the aria-polite:polite but it hasn't helped.  Any ideas?
