MobileMe Sharing Key Commands?
Hi,
I have a Mac Pro and newly purchased 17" MBP which is my remote editing suite. I have some useful customized keyboard shortcuts which I told my Mac Pro's Logic Studio to backup/sync on Mobile Me.
After trying various ways of getting these key commands the new laptop (including what I thought would be the obvious "export key commands" option in Logic) I've yet to successfully copy my key commands over, and when I tried to sync my MBP's commands in the preferences (thinking I could "restore" from the backup I'd made on my MPro, Logic said it could only do this by taking ownership of the commands from the Mac Pro, which I said yes to, and it still didn't do it!!
Is this a "its supposed to work but doesn't due to issues with MobileMe" problem (As it seems a brilliantly simply idea) or am I missing some elephant-in-the-room trick here?
Thanks!
Ben

Sync logic key commands?
hi.
anyone know if its possible to sync logic key commands with more than one mac?
the sharing prefs in logic dont work and i dont use mobileme anymore.
thanks.benjamingordon wrote:

Hi
Yes they do, but they can be a bit fiddly to get right.
Step 1
All Macs on the same Local Network?
Step 2
Preferences:Sharing
On the 'Primary' Mac tick the "Key Commands" box in the Bonjour section. You might want to do this for all Macs on the network?
On the "Slave" Macs, tick the box to look for Shared Data on the LAN (might want to do this for all Macs on the LAN?)
Step 3
On the 'Primary Mac', save the current Key Commands using the Options:Export function in the Key Commands window.
Step 4
Depending on your firewall preferences, you may need to restart Logic on the slave Macs (and you may get an alert about in-coming network/firewall messages... Accept).
Step 5
On the Slave Mac, open the key commands window; Options:Presets.... under Bonjour, you should see your "Primary' key commands listed.
Alternatively, Save (Export) the KC's from one Mac, copy the file to the others, then open them using KC Window:Options:Presets.
The KC files are saved in
<User>:Library:Application Support:Logic:Key Commands

Show clear text pre shared key asa 5500.....
I have read several of the posts on how to show your pre shared keys in clear text. I am in the process of converting a 5520 over to a 5525-x and I got to the point where I need the pre-shared keys
the more system:running-config command does NOT show the clear text of the keys nor does access the file via https:// either.
the 5520 is running Software Version 8.4(2)18
any thoughts how I can wrestle this info out of the asa as I'm not getting anywhere with what seems to have worked for a few others.
Thank in advance
Sincerely
PaulThe command more system:run should show you those keys.
Couple things that I have seen
I have seen it where someone configured pre-shared key by cutting and pasting the key as it is shown when you do a show run, so it was entered as ****. You can check this buy entering a dummy config with a key and then run the more system:run and see if it shows up.
also check the privilege level of your login and make sure it is 15.
Mike -
I am currently using an ASA 5550 version 8.2 anwith ASDM version 6.2.
I have a ASA 5505 in remote area and cannot connect via VPN.
My logs say maybe mismatched pre-shared key.
On my 5550, via the ASDM I used the command more system:running-config and it will not show my pre shared key in plain text, only shows a *.
Any help would be appreciated.Remote asa:

Can you hide the crypto pre-shared key?
Is there a way to hide the crypto pre-shared key in IOS? Following is an example of a config command where the key is not hidden:

the problem I have since I upgraded to Mavericks version 10.9.1
The problem appears only with Mail not with other programs, not even with my browser.
When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10". -
An iTunes key command I created no longer works after the recent update
I created a key command years ago for joining tracks. (Command-J) When the iTunes 11 update happened, it stopped working. I know it is the same key command for View options but it always worked before. So even if I make it a new command, it still won't work.
Anyone else have a similar problem?

I would be grateful to anyone who could find a solution to the following issue:
I have read in Logic's 7.2.3 help reference about track automation folder. The sort of arrange window that seems to lurk behind the main arrange page and the place where you can treat the automation data as proper region material. I have tried everything, .. there does not seem to be any key command of the sort, more over I can not find any other way that could give me access to such an editor like the Automation Folder.
Thank you for reading this.
Nik• 1 • If you choose 'New Track' from the Menu, or use Control-Click-&-hold, you can select from the various options.
• 2 • No, you don't need to do anything — it's entirely voluntary… I feel guilty for even mentioning it… I just thought that since you seem to be genuinely grateful for the help you have been getting, you had probably not read the article fully. I see that you have just had a useful reply from John Alcock, so now's your chance! -
Can anyone confirm this:
I have always used the key command "ctrlshift1" to attach "staccatto" to a note in score.
If I now use this key command now, I only get screenset 1, no matter what I do.
Could this be related to the scandinavian localization? (shortcuts in scandinavian localization were an issue in Logic 7 until they released a fix)
MichaelLogic 8 is not properly reporting KC conflicts here in my system. I have spent a few hours eye checking for different KC assigned to same key combinations. Now everything seems to work fine.
Maybe you have a third kc assigned to ctrl + shift + 1 thats causing logic to behave that way. You could try to reproduce this from a fresh initialized LP8's KC. -
How Can I Fast Forward through clips - Any key Command?
I am watching some long clips in my event library ... I want to choose sections to move to the project library.
As the movie plays ... I can use the arrow (left and right) to slow mo forward or backward.
What I need is a key command that will give me a fast forward ... say 2 or 3 times play speed.
The only way I know to fast forward is to use the trackpad with my fingers but this way I keep losing my position on the clips and skip over rows ... you also have to drag back to the beginning of the next row and know where you are ..
To find parts of clips that you want to select and drag up to your project this seems like a necessity especially when viewing a long movie ... it's really tedious to have to drag through the whole thing.
AM I out of luck?OOOpps ... sorry ... wrong forum ....

Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.

I'm a big key command guy. I think I've figured out most things so I rarely have to go for the trackball and leave the keyboard.
But recently (I think since an upgrade to Safari, but I can't be 100% sure), my previous command-W that used to close the frontmost tab now closes the entire window...bummed! How do I get my key command back?
Thanks all.Start with resetting all shortcuts to their defaults, restarting, and see if that fixes the problem. As I said, it works here w/o any changes made, so I suspect you or some other app mucked things up.

__ Is there a way to adjust the key commands for switching channels in curves?

By that I mean <command> + 1 for cyan, <command> + 2 for magenta etc. like Photoshop CS3 rather than <option> + 3 for cyan etc.
There's gotta be a way under Edit --> Keyboard Shortcuts - but I can't find it!
Thanks,
HughHi,
You can find the CS4 plug-in here:
