Modify web dynpro FITE_EXPENSES  remove scanned receipts button

Hello
I would like to remove the scanned receipts button & the available credit card receipts button in FITE_Expenses.. I know I should be able to do this with the enhancement framework through se80. I am unable to find the view to change. I see receipts_view under fite_vc_receipts but it doesn't  have the buttons. Any help will be appreciated.

I don't know how much more I can help you here.  This component doesn't use the Floorplan Manager framework. I checked and this appliation shipped in ERP 6.0 Ehp2 - the FPM framework didn't exist until NetWeaver 7.01 - which would have been ERP 6.0 Ehp4.
So you don't have FPM based configuration. I looked at the component and it doesn't have these UI elements defined at design time in the layout.  It must be dynamically creating them.  The WDDOMODIFYVIEW has lots of code it.  I'm certainly no expert on ESS/HR Travel, so I can't say what application specific configuration might be possible.  The online help for this application does list some IMG configuration (refered to as creatinga trip schema) that allows you to reduce the number of fields.  I don't know if this configuration can also apply to the toolbar.  You probably need someone with HR specific experience to answer that.
Do you want to make this change for all user types and all expense types?  Then you might consider using Administrative Personalization.  Just run the application with the additional URL parameter sap-config-mode=X. For example:
http://<full host name>:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zmho?sap-language=EN&sap-config-mode=X
You can then right mouse click on the button and choose Settings for Current Configuration.  You can then make the UI element Invisible.  Unlike component configuration, this works regardless of if the UI element is defined at design time or dynamically via WDDOMODIFYVIEW.

  • Exiting a Web Dynpro Application by pressing a button on a Web Dynpro View

    Hi all,
    I want to exit a Web Dynpro application when the user presses an Exit button on the screen. Is there an API for closing the current browser window and exiting the application?Thanks.
    Sukru

    hi,
    For closing Main Window, use Exit Plug in Windows:
    Do the following steps :
    -> Make an Outbound Plug to the Window.
    ->Make the type of Outbound plug to Exit Type.
    ->Add CLOSE_WINDOW of type wdy_boolean as a parameter to the outbound plug of Window.
    ->Do remember to add Component Name in the Properties Tab of View ( othervs Calling Outbound plug of window from view wont be possible ).
    ->Fire the outbound plug with close_window as X in the onAction of Exit Button .
    Refer SAP online help on using Exit plug to close a window:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/48/ca3351508f04e7e10000000a42189c/content.htm
    method ONACTIONGO_EXIT .
    data: L_REF_MAIN_WINDOW type ref to IG_MAIN_WINDOW .
    L_REF_MAIN_WINDOW =   WD_THIS->GET_MAIN_WINDOW_CTR( ).
    L_REF_MAIN_WINDOW->FIRE_MY_EXIT_PLUG_PLG(     CLOSE_WINDOW =   'X' ).
    endmethod.
    here Main_window is the window which needs to be closed.
    I hope it is clear.

  • Close Web Dynpro Application on click of button

    Hi,
         I have a Web Dynpro Appliaction which would be open in a Portal iView. I have a close button in the application. How do I close the application on the click of "Close" button.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna.

    Hi prasanna,
    First, it is very bad decision to make decisions instead of user. Just redirect him to logoff page and let close window himself.
    In WebDynpro you may use Exit plug on interface view with parameter Url (notice the case) of type string.
    Then you may previously fire this plug with JavaScript url: javascript:void(window.top.close())
    In recent versions of WD this will not work. So you have to redirect user via exit plug to some static html page, that contains in header <script>window.top.close();</script>

  • Web DynPro Behaviour when the Reload button is pressed

    Hi,
    I'd like to know what is the behaviour of the Web DynPro when an user presses the Reload button on the browser.
    I'm asking this because I designed a WDP that has a view with some input fields, two button and a table to show the result of a search operation based on the content of the input fields.
    Some of the input fields are text inputs and others are dropdown list controls. In some cases, e.g. after having performed a search, if I hit the Reload button the content of one dropdown list was shown in another dropdown list.
    The dropdown lists and the other input fields are bound to some context attributes and nodes.
    I'm trying to figure out why the WDP is kept in this 'dirty state' when the page is reloaded.
    Thanks,
    Pietro.

    Hi Pietro,
    a reload of the Browser causes every time a reload of WDJ-Application. That means the content in the wdDoInit-Method is executed and the UI-Input elements are in initial state.
    If you want to store the selection in the Input fields and droodowns the only way is to store that in the session.
    Here is an example to do that.
    WDScopeUtil.put(WDScopeType.CLIENTSESSION_SCOPE, "ABC", "someValue");
    Than you have to read this in the init-Methods.
    WDScopeUtil.get(WDScopeType.CLIENTSESSION_SCOPE, "ABC");

  • Call ESS FPM CATS Working time application from non FPM web dynpro application on click of button

    Hi,
    My requirement is to launch ESS Working time application HRESS_AC_CATS_1 from custom web dynpro application.
    ESS CATS working time application is configured in LPD_CUST launchpad.
    I tried using method  cl_hr_navigation_services=>navigate in my custom web dynpro but it did not work.
    Regards,
    Ibrahim

    In case you want to use Launchpad, you can use ABAP class CL_APB_LAUNCHPAD_API. If choose not to use Launchpad, you can use method CONSTRUCT_WD_URL of ABAP class CL_WD_UTILITIES to generate the URL. Specify Web Dynpro application and Web Dynpro Configuration as parameter. Finally create an external window using method CREATE_EXTERNAL_WINDOW that points to that URL.

  • ESS/XSS Web Dynpro SCA import in CMS to view/modify Web Dynpro Source Code

    I am having problems importing ESS/XSS Web Dynpro related SCA's into CMS.
    Following steps were followed
    1. Download following files from SAP service marketplace.
    BPERP4ESS0_0-10003146.sca
    ESS09_0-10002965.zip ( This file shows as SCA in the download page but download as with .zip)
    PCUIGP009_0-20000568.zip ( This file shows as SCA in the download page but download as with .zip)
    Question: Is this correct, did I get all I need? Do I need to download any more files?
    2. Deployed above files using SDM.
    3. Created a product in SLD and defined software component dependencies(SAP_BUILDT, SAP_JTECHS, SAP-JEE) I could define any of the above files(BPERP4ESS0_0-10003146, ESS09_0-10002965,PCUIGP009_0-20000568) as software dependencies as I could find in the software catlog.
    Question: Should this files show up in the software catlog? If yes what should I do?
    4. Created a track in CMS.
    5. Added software components for development defined in the SLD. Above files doesn't show up under sap.com to be added as development component. I already copied BPERP4ESS0_0-10003146.sca, ESS09_0-10002965.zip,PCUIGP009_0-20000568.zip to D:\usr\sap\JTrans\CMS\inbox.
    Question: How do I add this files to development components??
    5. All other required Software Components(SAP_BUILDT, SAP_JTECHS) were automatically added when I added the development component.
    What should I do so ESS09_0-10002965.zip,PCUIGP009_0-20000568 would show up under sap.com vendor component list??
    Any help on this is greatly appericated.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
    Did you receive a response to this question? We are having the same problems whilst following some instructions we received from SAP's OSS titled the JDI cookbook for ESS.
    When defining a track in the CMS the software components SAP_ESS and SAP_MSS are not in the list for vendor sap.com. Yet we use the standard ESS and MSS portal content delivered by SAP.
    How do we get these components in the list so that we can select them?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi ,
    1 create 2  context attribute ca_attr1 and ca_attr2 of type WDY_BOOLEAN , bind with ur ENABLE property of Button UI
    and enable property of checkbox
    2 create a action for the  OnToggle Event of ur checkbox
    3 in the OnactionMethod , check whether the CjeckBox is ticked using Get_attribute method
    4 If check box is checked ( ir ca_attr is "ABAP_TRUE" or 'X'), disable ur button by setting ca_attr2 to "ABAP_FALSE"
    DATA lo_nd_cn_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.

  • Submit button  from Interactive adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi all,
    We seem to be having a problem with the 'submit' button on the Interactive Form for the Web Dynpro ABAP.  The submit button is from the Web Dynpro active X or web Dynpro Native in the form designer. The submit button doesn't trigger the action in Web Dynpro. we are currently running on support pack 9 for the ABAP stack. We have Internet Explorer browser version 6.  Could someone tell me if there are requirements for the IE version that will work in conjunction with a particular ABAP stack version.  And, are there specific IE security settings or administrative privilages required with this version of the ABAP stack.  Or, any other ideas as to why this does not seem to work.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michelle Hong

    Hi Michelle,
    Could you tell me how you resolved the problem - as I'm facing exactly the same issue!
    Many Thanks

  • Problem in Closing a web dynpro application

    Hi experts,
    I wanted to close the application when the user clicks on the close button.
    I created a out bound plug "EXIT" of type 'EXIT' in my window.
    I also created a parameter "CLOSE_WINDOW" of type "WDY_BOOLEAN" for the outbound plug
    Now in action of the close button i have done the below code:
    DATA: l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog TYPE REF TO ig_ywd_maintain_catalog .
    l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog = wd_this->get_ywd_maintain_catalog( ).
      l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog->fire_exit_plg( CLOSE_WINDOW = 'X'
    where ywd_maintain_catalog  is my window name.
    when i check the program i am getting the below error:
    get_ywd_maintain_catalog_ctr is unknown or protected or private.
    I refered the standard web dynpro component "WDR_TEST_EXIT_PLUG" to implement the logic
    Pls help
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Hi all,
    This is my requirement when i click on a close button the application should close.
    i refered to a web dynpro component "WDR_TEST_EXIT_PLUG" where they have explained the way to use exit plug.
    They have created a outbound plug in the window called "EXIT" of type exit. and in the action of the button they have used the below code to fire the outbound plug.
    method onactionfire_exit .
      data: l_ref_wdr_test_exit_plug type ref to ig_wdr_test_exit_plug .
      l_ref_wdr_test_exit_plug =   wd_this->get_wdr_test_exit_plug_ctr( ).
      l_ref_wdr_test_exit_plug->fire_exit_plg(
        url = 'http://www.google.de/'
    endmethod.
    I followed the similiar approach in my code:
    I created a out bound plug "EXIT" of type exit in my window.
    then in the action of the close button i have done the below code:
      DATA: l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog TYPE REF TO ig_ywd_maintain_catalog .
    l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog =wd_this->get_ywd_maintain_catalog_ctr( ).
      l_ref_ywd_maintain_catalog->fire_exit_plg( CLOSE_WINDOW = 'X'
    The problem i am facing is i am getting the error  "method get_ywd_maintain_catalog_ctr is unknown or public or private"
    I am referred to the below URL to do it :

  • SELECT OPTIONS IN WEB DYNPRO ABAP

    Hello experts, im working with select options in a WEB Dynpro.
    There are four buttons (cancel,check,reset,copy) that apears above my select option.
    My question is: There is a way to hide that buttons?
    THANKS!

    Sure, you can disable them using the SET_GLOBAL_OPTIONS methdo of the IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS class.  Something like this:
    wd_this->m_handler->set_global_options(
        i_display_btn_cancel  = abap_false
        i_display_btn_check   = abap_false
        i_display_btn_reset   = abap_false
        i_display_btn_execute = abap_false ).

  • Transaction iView - pass web dynpro parameter

    Hi!
    I created a web dynpro (ABAP) iView with a button on it. Selecting the button opens a transaction iView. (SAP GUI for Windows) I want to pass a web dynpro parameter to the SAP GUI iView and write the value of this WD parameter into a screen field at SAP GUI.
    I suppose I have to use 'Application Parameters' as described at [help.sap.com|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm], but until now any attempts failed...

  • Changing PF status of Web dynpro ALV

    Hi Experts,
      In Web dynpro ALV there is a button called "EXPORT" with two menu items(Export to Microsoft Excel & Export to BOE).
    I would like to add two more menu items to that button. Is it possible. If yes, how?
    Thanks and regards,
    Venkat.

    Never thought about such requirement..what exactly you want to add to the export other than standard ones...I donot see any way..still exploring...I guess standard is of type either a CL_SALV_WD_FE_BUTTON_CHOICE or CL_SALV_WD_FE_TOGGLE_BUTTON...
    I think you can have it using a custom button.....adding a menu item to standard needs to be explored....
