Module in communication channel

Hi friends,
I have installed one of SAP`s B2B package. I have config guide for that. there at one place it is mentioned to write name of one modules at the module tab in communication channel.
I wan to see wat that module contains,bt nt sure where i can c that..
Please suggest hw can i see code of that module.

None of the SAP pre-defined modules comes with its implementation code / logic.
If the B2B package is from a different vendor, you can try contacting them and ask them for the implementation code. But i still dont think it will of any use since they are sure to be reluctant sharing their piece of work

Seetaram,
You will go with modules when the XI standard adapters doesnot fullfill your requirements. You will develop modules using Netweaver Developer studio (usually) and deploy it in the J2EE engine. Once when you deployed you can use them like the standard adapters. Check the other post reply on how to create a adapter module.
Also Except for Sender SOAP adapters, you can use Modules for rest of the adapters. Check this help for further information:

Identifiers are used to identify objects uniquely. It has Agency, Identification Scheme and Name/Value. Check this help for additonal information on this:

BIC Module Error in Sender Communication channel for EDI to File scenario.

Hi Experts,
We are working on the EDI based scenarion where EDI files come to SAP PI from partner and then through Split 997 Adapter Func Ack is sent back to the Partner . But we are facing a issue in our sender Communication Channel which is a File Adapter Channel and uses BIC Module for the conversion of EDI to XML .Request if any one can provide any guidance on the below issue coming in sender CC.

the parser is not able to parse the data.

Adapter Module not working in Sender Communication Channel working in recie

I have written one adapter module. IF i give that Adapter Module in Sender Communication channel its not working. If i give that in Reciever Communication Channel its working. If i mention in both the channels then its working in sender communication channel also.But in only sender communication channel its not working in only reciever communication channel its working Can any one tell me why its happening

We have an EJB module in NWDS. We want to pass some parameters from Communication Channel (Sender) in Integration Directory and use them in our EJB Module. Is there any function to do this process?? Please help me out

Error in the SOAP Receiver communication channel

My scenario is RFC - to -SOAP (synchronous ) i have specified the TARGET URL inthe SOAP receiver comminication chanel.. but while testing the interface by providing the test data from R/3 .. I'm not getting any Respose.. ..
If I check in the SXMB_MONI in i'm getting the following message .. but the URL whicjh i provided that is fine.. but my doubt is through XI may be it's not able to connect the Target System... .. so, please suggest me...

By default, the SOAP adapter sends the SOAP message with the content type text/xml.
When you check "Do not use SOAP envelope", the default contnet type is application/xml.
You can change the content type like this: Go to the SOAP receiver communication channel module tab. Add the module "localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" before the standard module. Add the parameter name Transform.ContentType and value text/xml.

Looks like your archivelog space is exhausted. Increase the db_recovery_file_dest_size size and check.

Issue on file sender adapter communication channel

Hi All,
I have an issue on some of the file sender adapter communication channels .The channels are failing with the error :
(u201CAttempt to process file failed with com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.xi.swift.ParserException: com.sap.xi.swift.ParserException: Message does not start with character '0x1f'u201D).
Please let me know the procedure to get this message processed.

Hi Vishu,
Find out in what encoding the file is in. for that download Notepad++ and open the file with in.
In Encoding tab you will see the encoding format.
1. If its not UTF-8 or ANSI then you should set the correct encoding in Sender File channel.
2. Check for BOM characters which will not be visible directoly.
3. Use Notepad++ to convert the content to HEX and check for hidden values. i bet there will be some Encoding BOM in the file which is creating problem while picking the file.
Since you are using SWIFT module: try to validate the XML file using Altova XML and check weather is correct.

How to receive alert mails when communication channel fails

Today there were in the "Communication Channel Monitoring" of the Runtime Workbench some Communication Channels in a "red" status and I would like to know if it is possible to receive per mail any alerts about a failing communication channel?
In SXMB_MONI the error is the following:

Usually, I receive mail alerts when messages failed since I have CCMS configurated but in the CCMS I don´t see any entries for this kind of errors with a Communication Channel...

Hi!
You can receive Alerts even though you are configured CCBPM. Through Control Step you can throw alerts but only difference between PI7.1 and XI is in 7.1 you can easily create Alert categoy in ESR itself at java stack but in XI you can't create it in Java stack you need to create this ALert category though ALRTCATDEF t code in ABAP Stack even though in 7.1 you created in Java Stack it will be reflecting in ABAP Stack.
Next thing is later you need to Configure ALert Rules in RWB and in ABAP Stack at Alert Category you need to Add your XI SAP ID;s at FIxed Receipients and before adding this Ask your Basis people to link your company mail ID or any mail ID with SAP ID so that you can receive Alerts both in RWB ALert Inbox as well as your Mail Server.
Since the above experts given diff blogs you can easily configure...

PI 7.0: Error when calling an adapter by using communication channel

Hello Experts,
We have a mapping scenario for ERP -> PI -> web service. Few details from ERP will be sent via PI to Web service.
Once the web service authenticates, token and sign will be generated. Here an RFC adapter is used for configuring the RFC receiver communication channel and provided the ERP system logon details at the RFC client parameter.
An error is received as mentioned below.
Error while lookup Exception during processing the payload.Problem when calling an adapter by using communication channel CC_Rcvr_RFC_Lookup_TokenSign (Party: , Service: BS_QV6_700, Object ID: 54e904ebf3d7382a84a0f83cd292b810)
XI AF API call failed. Module exception: 'error while processing the request to rfc-client: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was <null>'. com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.LookupException
The logon details in RFC parameter are corrected. Re-activated the the communication channel and refreshed the cache.
But still the error is not resolved.Please let me know if there is anything else i need to check.

Content type in SOAP receiver communication channel

Hello,
so far I thought that the SOAP receiver adapter always sets the content type to text/xml. However now I found out the following strange thing:
If you check the option "without SOAP envelope" then the content type is application/xml. Is there any way to influence this as the receiver of the message only accepts text/xml.
Have you had any similar experience?

- add the module "localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" or AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" before the standard SOAP module
- add the parameter = Transform.ContentType with value = text/xml
I'm just not sure if you need to add value = text/xml or "text/xml" so try the second one if the first one will not work

Hi I am getting the following dump..when I am sending some employee data from SAP to a webservice through a SOAP reciver communication channel.
It is a syncronous communication.

    Access with 'ZERO' object reference not possible.
What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK============CP" had to be
     terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Error analysis
    An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
    . The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was
     neither
    caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
     "XI_PROCESS_PAYLOAD" "(METHOD)"
        The reason for the exception is:
    There was an attempt to access a component using a 'NULL' object
    reference (points to nothing).
    An object reference must indicate an object (an instance of a class),
    before it can be used to access components.
    Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using a
    CLEAR statement.

I think this error is coming while sending the response..can anybody tell me how to correct this error...

No in the adapter monitoring...
It shows the messages for all other adapters...
But there is not even a single processing message for this SOAP communication channel...it only shows active..that means I think there is no processing of messagethrough this ..is it ?...but why not there is any error in the SXMB_MONI..
Earlier it was giving an error saying the proxy authentification required..but that doesn't work...now I have removed the proxy settings ..and it takes the program to dump..
