Monitor and manage windows firewall on multiple computers.

What im looking for is a tool that will display the off/on status of the firewall and a report that shows what rules are active and preferably a way to aggregate this data.
Does SCCM or SCOM provide anything like this or will i have to script something?

I presume that the new configuration is missing some parts as you seem to have the IP address of the external interface configured staticly on the interface but you have not configured any default route on the firewall? (Original configuration got default route dynamically and added it to the routing table)
You also mentioned that you were able to connect to the Internet which would indicate there was indeed a default route with the new configuration?
I am a bit confused about the host mask on the external interface (/32 - 255.255.255.255) ? Does the ASA really let you configure a host address on the interface? It can't lead anywhere as there is no next hop with a host mask. I think the ASA even blocks using a /31 mask link network which works with Cisco Routers.
I guess I would go through the basic troubleshooting step when the new configuration is in use
Check logs for any blocked connections or error messages
Check the Static PAT (Port Forward) configuration with the "packet-tracer" command
Capture traffic on the ASAs external interface (with the ASA itself) and confirm that you are seeing the TCP SYN of any connection attempts, or perhaps capture ICMP

VoIP Monitoring and Management Tools

Does anyone have suggestion on VoIP monitoring and management tools for large enterprise voip infrastructure?
We are in the final phase of 8000 phone cut-over across 2 location (2clusters) and need some advice on choosing the right monitoring system.
I saw Qovia have Cisco approved monitoring tools.
Does anyone ever use this? any suggestions or advice?

Monitoring voice quality is just one aspect of ongoing operations. It is equally (if not more) important to have the ability to remotely troubleshoot end-user problems, manage configuration changes, and perform active testing on a regular basis before users are impacted.

How to keep all text and formats the same on multiple computers?

I'm creating a file in InDesign CS6 on my Windows computer. I keep everything on my flash drive. When I go to school, I bring my flash drive with me and open it up on the Mac computer, but then there are are compatibility issues. There seems to be missing fonts and formats but the school uses the same version of InDesign I do. Now I was told a lot of things of how to keep the fonts and formats the same (embed the links, package the files, outline the text, save as IDML). However, it is not clear to me what each of those options do, so I don't know when or why to use them. So I just want to make sure that when I bring in my file in next Monday, I won't have any missing fonts or formats. What would you suggest is the proper things to do to keep everything the same on multiple computers? And could you please explain why?

If you want cross-paltform comaptibility limit the fonts to OpenType or Windows TrueType formats, both of which work on both Mac and PC. To avoid missing font warnings the fonts must either be installed on each computer, or they must be in a folder named Document Fonts in the same location as the .indd file they are to work with. Packaging the file will build taht folder for you.
the rest of the stuff in your list won't help you. .idml would allow you to open on an older version, but does nothing for your situation. Embedding the links will keep you from having missing links, but so will packaging, and embedded links will make the file much larger and harder to work with.
For goodness sake, don't even think about outlining the text. It stops being text when you do that and you can no longer edit it.
And finally. do yourself a big favor and don't attempt to actually work on your file directly from the flash drive. Copy the whole package folder to the hard drive, work on it, then copy back. You don't want to know how many files are fatally damaged by write errors on flash drives.

How do I Create and Manage one library for several computers

As our family has grown over the years, we have 4 kids and 6 macs and duplicate images scattered thought all the separate computers in their own libraries. Is there a way to create and manage one central library that all computers access? That way we can reduce the headaches when we need an image and have to go to each computer and search it's library. Not to mention when we need to jump on a computer and it doesn't happen to be the one we have our library on and need to download our pictures and they end up forever lost on a different computer.

You cannot share a library over the network, since a library needs to be on a locally mounted volume, but you can put a shared library onto a "sneaker drive" and plug it into each of your mad in turn, see Apple's support document:

Flash CS5 Windows - Single License, Multiple Computers?

Hi, if I purchase a single copy of Flash CS5 for Windows, will I be able to activate it on multiple computers (e.g. home, work) by typing in the same serial number on the activation window?

as far as I know you can install all kinds of suites max. 2 times. you will notice when trying more times that the activation process will block you from activating it.

Firefox used to run but now will not open. I have tried the reset and allowing windows firewall. Any suggestions?

Window 8 on new computer. Set up by outside computer person. Firefox has been running and working fine for at least 6 months. Starting yesterday Firefox will not open. I tried the uninstall reinstall, simple firefox restart, allowing windows firewall for Mozilla. I am not a real savvy computer person. Any easy fix?

HT1202 Manually Manage Music/ Videos with multiple computers

I recently got a new iphone 4s and when it was set up I made sure the manually manage music part was on, I added my music and everything worked fine.
I'm abroad now and wanted to delete and change some of my music but the manually manage box is no longer ticked and I get the warning saying "Your phone is Synced with another iTunes Library do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this itunes libary". How can I get around this I dont want to lose all my music!!!!

As the message infers, you can only sync your iDevice to
a single iTunes library. The only way around this, which is
of no real use to you now but for future reference, is to have
your iTunes library (entire iTunes folder) an a separate hard

The one caveat of this is that is backups of the iDevice.
Each computer will have a different backup file depending on

available with an old backup and not the most recent.

Is there any software available for Lenovo servers like Dell's OpenManage to monitor fans, power supplies, disks, and RAID controllers? I could find anything on the support site or Google and spent 45 minutes on the phone with a lot of clueless people that just kept transfering me between Lenovo and IBM.

I called support and I told the rep that we are jumping the Dell ship and require a monitoring soultion like Open Manage the guy had no clue on what to use to monitor the server.
I found LSI megaRAID app for the onboard RAID but it appears that I need to purchase the advance option for alerts... Really

Dual Monitors and Moving Windows

Long story short I have a macbook pro with a 19" monitor attached to it. I keep my menu bar on the laptop so my programs wont be messed up if i detach the monitor to go away from my desk. It's a great thing to have for my photoshop work and playing WoW, but I cant move some windows on to it. Things like Doom and Quake which force the cursor to the center of the screen cant be moved around at all.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a program or script which will allow me to sort of suspend the app so that i can move the window. I guess anything that can override a programs ability to auto center the mouse should work, but i can't find anything like that.

I actually got this answered by my old mac guru. Turns out you can move windows belonging to background app by holding  down while dragging their title bar. This allows me to shift windows around without having the application, and its mouse takeover, come into play.

Tree from XML (JMX monitoring and management application)

I am trying to create a tree structure from XML. I am setting
the below XML as the dataProvider for the tree.
Now I only want to see the "element" labels in the tree
structure. But I also see the operationList and the operations
under it too. Is there any way I can filter these out from the tree
structure ?
The reason why I have the operations is that I have to
display them on the right hand side, i.e whenever someone clicks on
an element the operations corresponding to that have to be
displayed on the right hand side.
If you see the "flex-admin" application under the livecycle
data services ... my applications is exactly similar to that.

How is the WebSphere node connected to the cluster? Is it using TCMP? Extend?
Local, Distributed, Replicated, Near, Overflow, External and Optimistic cache statistics appear in the Coherence JMX server. However, near and local caches created on extend nodes do not appear. Therefore the -Dtangosol.coherence.management.remote=true on an Extend client will not register the near or local caches.

1) when JConsole is not running/connected to the JVM but the application is still started with -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote
2) when JConsole is connected to the JVM and traces the resources
