More explanation about Keyboard Events

Someone can help me giving me more explanation about how to use Keyboard events inside a textFlow...
Or maybe show me some example, I try to do something like detect which key is pressed in textFlow.
I read about: keyDownHandler and manageTabKey, but I still without a clear idea...
Can you give me a hand please...?

To filter the keys I'd suggest subclassing ContainerController and overriding keyDownHandler.
Another approach would be to add your own listeners to the containers and call preventDefault to cancel the event.
manageTabKey lets you tell TLF to treat a TAB as an insert of a TAB character and to call preventDefault.  Unfortunately that doesn't always prevent the browser from also handling TAB.  Not a problem in an AIR App though.
Hope that helps,
rRichard

  • More explanations about MESH and 802.11n

                       Hello,
    I just begin WiFi installations and I have some existential questions.
    I have 5 Cisco 1552-E APs. One of them is wired to LAN and act as RAP, the 4 others are MAP.
    On each AP, I use 1, 6, 11 channels as 2,4GHz non-overlapping channels.
    As I have a 802.11n network, I use 5GHz band with non-overlapping channels too. Because I'm in Europe and outdoor, I want to use 100, 112, 124, 136 and 140 channels.
    But all the 5 APs have a MESH backhaul 5GHz link to connect to LAN.
    Please clarify my mind, because I don't understand how it is possible for 2 APs, to communicate between themselves on a different 5GHz channel ??
    Thank you,
    Clement

    There is a new model which has 3 antenna ports for the 5ghz and 3 antenna ports for the 2.4ghz. This allows you to use one of the Cisco mesh patch antennas for a longer backhaul shoot to the RAP or even a MAP. It's hard to say what you can do but that gives you more options.
    Cisco Aironet 1552E/1552EU External Antenna Access Points
    The Cisco Aironet 1552E/1552EU Outdoor Access Points are the standard models, dual-radio system with external antenna ports that are compliant with IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards (2.4 GHz) and 802.11a/n (5-GHz). The 1552E has three external antenna connections for dual-band omni or directional antennas. The 1552EU has six external antenna connections, three for 2.4 GHz and three for 5 GHz antennas, that support omni or directional antennas. They have Ethernet and fiber Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) backhaul options, along with the option of a battery backup. These models also have a PoE-out port that can power a video surveillance camera or other devices. Highly flexible models, the Cisco Aironet 1552E/1552EU are well equipped for municipal and campus deployments, video surveillance applications, mining environments, and data offload.

  • Send a keyboard event from labview to C#

    Hi,
    We currently have a program in c# that takes keyboard inputs from a user and will fly a quadrotor. We aim to have a LabView .vi generate keyboard commands based on our experiment and send the commands to the c# code creating a feedback loop where the .vi will keep track of sensor and experimental data.
    Our problem is that we have tried many different methods to send the keyboard commands in LabView.
    1) http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3711
    2) http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Send-keyboard-commands-to-another-windows-program/td-p/330670/page/2
    as well as other variations and similar .vi's that do the same thing. Here is an example of a .vi used to press the letter "t" once.
    http://i.imgur.com/hwmjZ.png
    All of them can write the string to a text (open notepad put cursor in blank window) file but none can do it in such a way that it is detected by the c# code. On my own I can open and run the c# code and press keyboard buttons myself and the commands are recognized, so I think it could be an issue with how LabView sends the keyboard events and how c# reads them. Here is the c# code segment that we are using to read the input commands:
    public override List<String> GetPressedButtons()
              KeyboardState state = device.GetCurrentKeyboardState();
              List<String> buttonsPressed = new List<String>();
              foreach (Key key in Enum.GetValues(typeof(Key)))
                        if (state[key])
                                  if (!buttonsPressed.Contains(key.ToString()))
                                            buttonsPressed.Add(key.ToString());
              return buttonsPressed;
    Can anyone help trying to figure out why using the keybd_event function in LabView can not interface correctly with the above detection code in c#? I can provide any code and clarification if you think it can be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi,
    I can't say with certainty where the problem is or even how many there are. I do know that the KeyboardListener.cs class should work according to what I have read online. I also know that if I press the keyboard myself then the state is changed and the correct action is taken. If I try to issue an event from Labview then the event is not captured. Here is the code, it is rather large ~20 MB.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/vsvcje1ro364otu/ARDrone.zip
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/p3h3tj8bcqc29gk/Forward_backward0924.vi
    The key listener is in ARDroneInput>Utils>KeyboardListener.cs and the polling takes place in ARDroneInput>KeyboardInput.cs
    The reason I wanted to use keyboard inputs is because the quadrotor we are using takes keyboard commands W,A,S,D,T and L. Initially I thought having Labview issue these commands would be the simplest method. That may not be the case.
    I was just thinking that it is not necessary that key events are sent from Labview. Instead, one could send an array representing the frequency of each button press rather than the button press directly. In that case an array that is updated continuously from Labview will just have to be kept track of in the C# code. The C# can then convert that to whatever control input we want. Can it be easier to send a vector of numbers in real time to C#?
    If you think it is better to establish a connection between Labview and C# using .NET to send keyboard commands (rather than the vector idea above) can you explain that a little more? How does one go about doing that? If you think the vector idea is simpler how should the interface be set-up?
    I just talked with my collegue and we think that maintaing a .txt file in Labview and having C# read it is the best option. We will begin working on that and will update you tomorrow.
    Thanks,
    Andy

  • How can I get around Javascipt issue with keyboard events?

    Javascript issue: keydown, keypress, keyup events cause quick search to initiate with the division key on the keypad and slash key on the keyboard. I am trying to program a graphic representation of a 10 key pad and the division (/) sign is problematic for roll over and processing based on key events. How can I get around this? further notes: Safari also has problems with key events and the division key(s) but no search function connected. Thankyou for time and attention

  • Know more detail about the Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One ?

    SAP Business One 9.1 is about to release this year and we can see in the feature enhancements that a significant update is planned in the Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One, more commonly known as RSP. Let’s have a quick look what update is planned for RSP in version 9.1:
    Enhancements planned in Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One 9.1
    RSP is planned to support both SAP Business One on Microsoft SQL Server as well as SAP Business One on HANA Database
    RSP Processes and Reports adapted to SAP HANA Database
    With this plan RSP will help in the areas of Download, Installation, Go-Live Check, Monitoring, Upgrade and Support for SAP Business One both   on SQL Server and HANA.
    But like me (non-SAP B1 Consultant) many of you have the question what is RSP and how it helps in support? Here I have tried to gather all information.
    What is Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One?
    The remote support platform for SAP Business One is designed to protect a SAP Business One installation by providing automated and remote support in a high-volume business.
    The platform monitors the entire SAP Business One environment. By significantly reducing the time between the appearance, identification, and resolution of issues, the remote support platform for SAP Business One minimizes the impact on customer databases and processes.
    Some Key Features of Remote Support Platform:
    Showing alerts to SAP B1 Admin about the events which require their attention, such as low disk space, database backups, etc.
    Incident Reports against the issues identified which require attention of SAP Support
    Company Database Backup and Restore options
    Regular fixes of Company Database inconsistencies
    Check, Download and Install regular updates in SAP Business One
    Upload Logs and required files to SAP Support or to Partner Support on regular basis
    Some details about RSP Backup Management
    Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly backups
    Perform differential and full database backups
    Back up transaction logs
    Back up files to shared folders on a network
    System Status Report through RSP
    From June 1st 2013, it will be mandatory to install, configure and upload the System Status Report (SSR) from Remote Support Platform (RSP) for SAP Business One in order to receive support for messages of a technical nature (upgrades, performance & crashes, etc).
    Database uploads only via RSP
    From June 1st 2013 SAP Business One Support will only accept database uploads to SAP via remote support platform for SAP Business One. In certain exceptional circumstances STFP may be used but this will constitute a minority of cases.
    Microsoft Windows PowerShell Scripting
    In the remote support platform studio, you can create tasks using Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting. PowerShell enables you to perform remote administrative tasks on customers’ Microsoft Windows operating systems, by providing full access to Component Object Model (COM) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).Some Network Prerequisite for RSP
    To achieve the internet connection test, you must allow port 80 for the RSP external communication
    Disabling antivirus firewall or add the RSP to the trusted zone of the antivirus
    Set the correct proxy
    Disabling Windows firewall in the TP_link Wireless Configuration Utility

  • More details about mustella

    Hi,
    would it be possible to have more details on how mustella work ?
    I like the fact to be able to launch a swf and communicate back the results
    to ant or other tools
    or if giving details about mustella is not possible could be possible to request
    a "special" flash player that does not span a GUI when run ?
    my goal is to be able to run unit tests working withing the SWF bytecode
    but the GUI get in the way for server-side scenarios, etc.
    cheers,

    Mustella is internal right now. There's a few quirks in how it works
    that make it not ready for public consumption. It may go public
    eventually.
    I'm not sure why the GUI gets in your way. Server communication is
    asynchronous so you mostly need a test harness that can wait for
    asynchronous events.

    i am using only "framework.jsp".that also i changed according to my need.i changed only the layout part not the whole thing.And also i dont find any "subscribeevent" relevant to the "raiseevent" presents in tha jsp file.
    as u said i searched with the WAandNAVpanel.jsp also but i couldnt find. the subscribe events present in the specified file is not relevant to my raise event i think so.....

  • About Business Events

    Frntz,
    In Normally workflow I had created few wft files and completed it sucessfully and Now I need to know about Business events in Oracle Workflow.
    Does it required to login as SYSADMIN to create an event or else is there any more options available in it.

    Anyone who has the workflow administrator role assigned to his/her user can see create/update Business events.
    Navigation is :
    Login to Oracle Applications -> Workflow Administrator -> Administrator Workflow -> Business Events.
    Please make sure that the application in which the business events( seeded ) exist should be licensed and its status should be enabled.
    Also you need to make sure you have subscriptions to partciular events. The same also needs to be licensed and status should be enabled.

  • Brief explanation about EVS

    Hi All,
    Give me Explanation about the EVS and  wat is the use of it

    Hi,
    Extended Value Selector
    Extended Value Selector (EVS). input help is used for selecting a key/display text pair of a simple data type. Because the SVS is not suitable for displaying large value sets (more than 50, for example), Web Dynpro provides the EVS. This input help displays a popup UI with a built-in function for browsing and filtering large value sets in a table. The EVS can be displayed for every Inputfield UI element with the value property bound to a context attribute of the type simple data type (at runtime).

  • Movieclip.x movement using keyboard event

    Hi, im working on a game project and i have a question about movie clip movement using keyboard event.
    Basicly i have a character on screen and it can move on the x axis using the left and right buttons.
    Im making my charater move by changing the x value of the character movieclip but i find very it laggy and not smooth and if im going point by point
    then it's too slow.
    Whats the best way to make the character move so that the transition will be smooth.

    Ok obviously you've left out where you add your eventListener, i'll assume that's a KEY_DOWN event. When the user holds down a key, that key event is triggered once immediately and then after a pause it is triggered at regular intervals. Check this out by holding down the up/down arrow and watching this browser window scroll.
    That's not the movement you'd be looking for when moving a character in a game. Instead, you'd be setting a variable on KEY_DOWN to indicate the character direction - it could be an integer for example that you increase by 1 if the user pressed RIGHT or decrease by 1 if the user pressed LEFT.
    In addition to your KEY_DOWN eventListener, you could have an ENTER_FRAME and  KEY_UP eventListeners set up:
    The enterFrame event handler could move the character in the direction specified in your direction variable. This is where you might ensure your character doesn't go beyond its limits in both directions.
    In the keyUp event handler, you could do the converse of what you did in the keyDown handler(increase by 1 if the user released LEFT, decrease by 1 if the user released RIGHT).

  • Need explanation about adobe products for developers

    I need explanation about what products I need to use for developing dynamic adobe PDF forms..
    Currently I use only LiveCycle Designer ,but I in previous posts I found that I need to use additional products as Acrobat or Extension to designer.
    My question is if I need to devlop dynamic PDF form what exactly products I need that will be cover all developing issues?

    Hi,
    Covering all developer/developing issues is very broad.
    LC Designer is part of the LiveCycle suite. Which components you need from the suite will depend on your environment, your workflow, and how you want to process the data.
    More information here: http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/
    If you wanted to create forms and use Reader to interact with the form, then the minimum specification would be:
    LC Designer
    Adobe Reader
    However there would be restrictions in the functionality (eg you could not save the form in Reader as it would not be Reader enabled).
    If you want to Reader enabled the form in Acrobat Standard v9 or Acrobat Pro v8, then you will need Acrobat as well. This will unlock some of the features.
    If you want users with Reader to have full access to all features (as if the form was opened in Acrobat) then you will also need LC Reader Extensions ES2. You would use this to Reader enable the form before you deploy it.
    See summary here:
    Other components in the LC suite provide other functionality such as digital signatures, rights management, etc. You should talk directly with the Adobe sales rep in your geographical location.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Lock all mouse and keyboard event.

    i am looking ways to lock up all the mouse and keyboard events in windows...do u guy have ways to solve this?

    Do you mean that people should not be able to start other applications, or switch to other running applications, before they have typed the right password into you java program? I don't think that can be done in java - it requires more control over the computer than Java typically gives you. You may have some success with full-screen AWT, though.
    But why not use log-on-systems incorporated in whatever operating system you are using? Or some other netware thingie? Honestly, I think you are trying to reinvent the wheel, and even with tool that's not very appropriate.

  • Keyboard events in jsp  that working in Mozila fire fox Browser

    hai cutes
    have a peace day.
    i did some keyboard event project using JSP
    that can be nicely working in Internet Explorer
    But i want to working in Mozila fire fox Browser and other browser also...
    thank u

    You didn't do it using JSP, keyboard events are client side and will need to be done with javascript. AFAIK the only thing about events that is not cross-browser is the way the event object is handled. This can easily be fixed with a minor workaround.
    <script>
    function handleEvent(e)
    // this is the trick
    if(e == null){
      e = window.event;
    if(e.keyCode == 13) { // enter
    </script>
    <input type="button" onKeyDown="handleEvent(event)">That should make it work in multiple browsers. Well it least it works for me :)

  • Keyboard Events on Symbols - Accessibility

    I'm VERY new to Adobe Edge Animate, although I do have a good deal of HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience.
    I'm currently working on a website within Adobe Edge and need to make the website accessible .. or at least as accessible as possible.  This can be broken up into 2 steps as I see it.
    Currently I have several main menu items at the top of the site.  Each has it's own set of sub menu items.  To make this accessible, I need to have it setup so that when a user presses tab and focuses on a symbol, the corresponding drop sub menu items are displayed as well.  This in turn will force the next tab key press to go to the first sub menu item and not the next main menu item.  I have this done by simply adding an action to the Symbol's focus event.  No problem here.
    Next, when a user tabs to a main or sub menu item and presses ENTER on the keyboard, I need to have it perform the same action as if the user had pressed a mouse click.  How do I go about doing that?  I would have assumed there would have been keyboard events as well and not just mouse/touch event?
    Any ideas on how I can get this to work?  Perhaps I'm missing something on how to make an Adobe Edge site truly accessible?
    Thanks!
    Ol

    Thanks for your reply!  I appreciate it.
    As best I can gather so far is that I can add java script code throughout the project but I'm a little confused as to where to add certain code.  So for my example and your response ... where would I add said code?  It doesn't look like I can add it to the symbol's action panel ...
