Move scrollbar to left side of component
I would like to create a container with a scrollbar on the
left-hand side. How can I do this in MXML or Actionscript?

DataGrid scrollbar on left side.
I know I have seen a topic about this somewhere but this
forum has such a bad searchfunction that I cant find the answer...
I have 2 DataGrids, 1 must have the vertical scrollbar on the
right side (normal), and 1 must have the vertical scrollbar on the
left side (not normal).
I have tried everything I could think of. Help files didn't
help, tutorials didn't help, looking through the UIScrollbar and
DataGrid class files didn't help either.
I'm stuck...
If anyone knows how to do this, please share.
p.s. the tricks that people use to get the scrollbar to the
left in a "scrollpane" component do NOT work for
DataGrids...Also tried:
_root.myDG.vScroller._x = 0;
_root.myDG.setHPosition(-15);
didn't work... I also tried adding this:
myDG.vScrollPolicy = "off"; (this removes the vertical
scrollbar)
and then adding an additional UIScrollbar component into the
DataGrid... but even after configuring it correctly it will not
interact with the DataGrid (perhaps it only works for textfields).
Anyone?!? -
Scrollbar on left side of Datagrid
I was able to move the scrollbar to the left side in a datagrid using the following:
protected override function updateDisplayList( unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number ):void

verticalScrollBar.x = 0;
This only moved the scrollbar and not the header for the scrollbar. It also does not move the columns over.
Is there a way to do this? There doesn't seem to be any examples for moving a scrollbar to the left side of
a datagrid except for the code that i've listed above.I have tried this
verticalScrollBar is created only when displayed, so the rigth way is update it's position in updateDisplayList, but listContents displayed with errors. -

I like being able to move the vertical scrollbar to the left-side of the viewing area.
But the problem is with CSSs position:absolute and position:fixed is that if the left attribute is set to less than 20 the scrollbar will cover it up. For instance left:5px will be covered by the scrollbar.Set the pref layout.scrollbar.side to '3' to place the scroll bar at the left side.

ScrollPane: Howto have vert. scrollbar on left side ?
Is there a way to have the vertical scrollbar (on a scrollpane) on the left side (rather than on the right side) ?
AFAIK only by using your own skin for ScrollPane (and probably TreeView, ListView and TableView).

Why when I preview my tablet version + live version it moves to the left side and in a smaller size?

Yes I do, http://www.beautycenterspa.cl/tablet (you must get in with a tablet beacuse if you do it with desktop PC or notebook it won't show the problem).
I checked it with more than 1 tablet (Iphone & samsung).

My JComponent is not visible when we move scrollbar outside view port
I have designed my customized JComponent which is bubble type component.User can set it to JComponent like button then above button this bubble(which is JComponent) will appear.
Now my problem is :
User has set bubble to one button and everything is inside view port but when user is using scrollbar which is outside viewport and moving viewport then bubble is dissappeared.
For example
button is at lower left corner and bubble is displayed but when I will move scrollbar to rigth side then in this case will disappear and will visible only when I will resize window because I have used hiearchy bound listeners.
But my problem is why scrollbar events are not catched by hieachy bound listeners??
how to get scrollbar event so that i can call repaint for my bubble component.

my scrollbar has unexpected moved to the left side of the screen in stead of the right side, and I don't know how to move it back. This only occurs in Firefox.

I have been learning how to deal with arabic fonts now in flash10 and from what i have read up so far adobe has stopped updating the TLF component and it is been said it will only reappear with flash11 again. So if there is a bug with 64 bit os , then it is stuck like that for now. Another point to mention while using the forums and from personal testing is that the adobe arabic font will not handle diacritics correctly. You should try use Arial version 4 (the arial that ships with vista , the arial that shipped with xp is also faulty).

The new itunes overfills the window on my desktop ( windows 7). When I move it to the left so that I can access the slidebar on the right, part of the left side of the screen then disappears. How do I correct this?
The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...

could you please try to find any blank oject like rectangle/textbox, specially at the lower end of the page. Use Edit -> "Select All" to select everything on the page, it will be easier to locate it.

I'm not an expert on this but I get these files now and again with my job where clients upload fonts to our FTP from a PC. These are files that OS X doesn't recognize or doesn't have the software to open it. It's probably because your drive was formatted for PC. Do the iPod video files have a file extension at the end of the filenames such as .mp4 or .mpeg (or whatever the correct extension is for iPod video, mp4 I think)? If not and in my experience, adding the correct extension to the file usually enables OS X to recognise and open the file. Try it with one of your files and see if it opens. -
