MR11 - post to sepcific accounts
I need to clear the GR/IR account by MR11, i would like to know it is possible post the balance to specific in order to clear the GR/IR. So the outcome would be DR GR/IR and CR sepcific accounts after done the MR11. Thanks!
Hi,
Further to your querry, we do map the GL Accounts at OBYC for GR/IR Clearing accounts and its accounts determinations.
As I know, while doing GRIR, the credit should be as per OBYC (FI-MM Integration).
If you require, Crediting certain specific accounts after MR11, would be manually and can not be automatically.

Getting Error while posting billing into accounting.
Hi All,
Could any one help on this error,i am getting this while posting billing into accounting.
Tax statement item missing for tax code O0
Message no. FF805
Diagnosis
No tax item exists for tax code O0 in a G/L account item. A possible cause is an incorrect transfer of parameters by the application to the Accounting interface.
Procedure
Enter an OSS message.Hi Raja,
We have many FF805 errors reported by customers and the same solution
has resolved the problem. Please note that the SD-FI interface changed
from earlier releases.
In the vast majority of cases, error FF805 occurs because of an error
in your pricing procedure. The previously attached note 112609 explains
in detail how tax codes are transfered to conditions.
The note 400766 explains the checks performed by the system on the Tax
codes:
1. system checks whether there is a revenue line for each tax line.
2. in the reverse case, for each revenue line containing a certain
tax indicator there must be a tax line with this indicator.
If the tax condition has condition value zero and condition base
value zero, then it is not transferred to FI.
If you have revenue lines containing a tax indicator XX, but no
tax line with tax indicator XX, then the error FF805 issues, and
it is justified. => Please check these informations. I have attached
notes for further information.
-> EXAMPLE
If tax condition MWST has base amount zero and value zero; for this
reason it is not passed to accounting. But, according to the
criteria reported by note 112609, its tax indicator EG: A7
has been assigned to the condition EG: ZBR1.
So in accounting there would be a revenue line with tax indicator A7,
but there isn't any tax line with indicator A7 (because MWST doesn't
pass to FI). The note 400766 states situation is unallowed, and error
FF805 is justified.
Thanks and best regards,

Error in :Posting keys for account determination
Hi, Gurus,
please suggest the solution for the following problem.
we are selling two types of materials, one is the product material and the second one is the scrap material.Different type pricing procedures, sale order, delivery and billing types were configured for the same. For CST and VAT same condition type :"ZCST - for CST " and ZVAT - for VAT" were used in both pricing procedure and the standard account keys : MW1 for ZCST and MWS for ZVAT and same G/L accounts configured .
. key combination for the condition types as mentioned below:
. ZCST: Country/PlntRegion/Region/TaxCl2Cust/TaxCl.2Mat
ZVAT: Country/PlntRegion/Region/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl.Mat
Now we want to capture CST and VAT seperately for both the materails. For that two new account keys created and incorporated the same in scrap pricing procedure and and new G/Ls created and assigned .Now the system is throwing following error while while releasing the billing document to accounting document.
Posting keys for account determination for transaction Z48 do not exist
Message no. F5598
here Z48 is the new accounting key created for the CST tax.We tried all the possibilities, but system is throwing the same error.
with regards
samThank u for ur response. Now it is solved when OB40 and OBCN maintained. Here I am facing a new problem.pl. provide the solution.we configured twoseperate pricing procedures for our product and scrap material. We have configured same condition types for VAT(ie.condition type:ZVAT) and CST(cond type:ZCST), in both pricing procedures. Now We want to maintain seperate condition types for VAT and CST for pricing procedure for Product material and Scrap material. I have created two new condition types for scrap sales ZSCT- cst for scrap and ZSVT-vat for scrap by copying the same from existing conditions ZCST & ZVAT, and the same is included in the scrap pricing procedure. And also maintained OB40,OBCN,OVK1,OVK3,OVK4, FTXP,FV11 and VK11.
now I am facing the following problems.
1. while creating the Material master & customer master, in tax category sub screen all conditions i.e. conditions defined for product material( ZCST,ZVAT) and defined for scrap material (ZSCT, ZSVT) displaying and these are compulsory fields.
2. While creating the sale order for scrap material, system is considering the TAX classes from ZVAT/ ZCST (defined for product material) and taking the condition value from the condition type ZSVT/ ZSCT with the TAX class values of ZVAT/ZCST.
Now I would like to know is there any procedure to assign the Material type and Customer group to Tax category.
Thanks & Regards

FICA question- Incoming payment posted to wrong account & processed as refund
Need validation if the process recommended in following scenario is appropriate & any advise would be appreciated:
We have a few contract accounts where the incoming payment was posted to worng contract account. Then instead of reversing the doc & moving it to clarification & posting to correct account , the cashier assuming the customer has made payment in error , initiated a refund & an outgoing payment doc was generated after payment run. In some cases the check was issued to the customer.
What we think the right process would be as under:
1. Reset clearing on outgoing payment doc. The incoming payment doc will now be open. There will be additional debit entry of equivalent amount for the reset clearing.
2. Reverse the incoming payment doc & post it to clarification. From Clarification , post it to correct contract account.
3. For the debit entry on the contract account, there are 2 possible scenarios for clearing:
sceanrio 1: In case the check was sent to customer , get the customer to make the payment. This incoming payment will clear the debit entry.
Scenario 2: If the check was stopped in time , a credit posting of equivalent amount should be posted to bring account back in balance. For standard incoming payments we use doc type IC. In this case as this is credit entered to balance account (not truly an incoming payment) can the same doc type be used or a different doc type is recommended.
I am not a FICA consultant & this might be a very basic question
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
SatishReceivable adjustment works like this:
Current situation:
Customer Revenue Receivable
100 | | 100 100|
After receivable adjustment, it looks like this:
Customer Revenue Receivable Bad Debt Expense
100 | | 100 100| |
100 100
Receivable adjustment does not adjust the customer balance/open items. It only takes $ from the receivables and moves them to a separate g/l account. -

Profit center is posted to asset account??
Hello experts,
I wonder it is correct that profit center is posted to asset account.
Now our B1 2005B does that.
For example,
In AR credit memo (or Sales return) , we input profit center XX into the documents.
Then B1 create Journal Entry as below;
Dr
Sales Revenue 100 , profit center XX
Inventory 50, profit center XX
Cr
AR 100,
Cost of Goods Sold 50, profit center XX
Inventory account is asset account, so I'd like to know this is correct and SAP's spec ? or SAP's bug?
Please give your advise,
KaoriHi Kaori,
The functionality is slightly different in the B version so I can tell you how it working in the A version and maybe you can verify this.
The Profit Center should only be allocated to accounts that has been defined as Account type 'Sales' or 'Expenditure'. If the Inventory account is given this definition it will allocate the profit center to the inventory as well.
Normally by default P&L account are set as 'Sales' or 'Expenditure' and Balance Sheet accounts set as Account type 'Other'.
Hope it helps.

Credit has not been posted to my account
Hi,
I purchaced $10 in Skype credit on my computer before leaving on a business trip to China where i knew i was going to need to use skype to call landlines in the US. Everything looked good and I was pretty confident upon leaving that everything was in order.
Now that I am here, it doesn't really appear that the credit has posted to my account. As soon as I logged on, i was forced to have my previous skype info migrated to microsoft based login info etc and I cannot figure out how to use this credit to call landlines as needed. Also, I really need to be able to use skpe through my iphone for this and I have seen a message where I need to sync something with itunes. The computer that is synced to my phone resides in the US so if it needs to be hooked to the computer physically that is going to be impossible. I've looked at purchacing more credit through the phone but am routed to Skypes site in China.
Please tell me that there is someway that I can make this work.
Thanks

IHC Incoming payment - no posting on clearing account
Hello together,
I need some help with the processing of an external bank statement. I try to read an incoming payment from an external bank statement (MT940). When I post the bank statemenat with FEBAN I get two documents: one for general ledger and one for IHC. IHC posts only on one account (subsidiary) but the posting on clearing account is missing. I also don't find a payment order in IHC0. I've checked table BKKIT but there is really just one posting for each incoming payment. I've activated IHC partner (transactions BF12, BF22,BF 23), customized the BTEs 2810 (BKK_IHB_BASTA_IN_CHECK, IHC_APPL_XBS_POST) in BF 32 and I've entered an FI account for IHC in "Set Up Account Determination for Incoming Payment". Do you have any idea why it doesn't work?
I'm looking forward to your replies!
Best regards
SabineHi Kalyan,
thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I'm still not sure if the whole posting process ist clear to me. I especially don't understand the IHC postings.
Let's make an example. Like you have suggested we have two companies: Company 1000 is the head quarter and IHC is assigned to it. Company 1000 acts as clearing partner for IHC, too. Company 2000 is a subsidary of 1000 and has an internal bank account at in-house bank.
Let's assume that the whole group makes some kind of external cash pooling. Subsidary 2000 transfers 100,- to the external bank account of head quarter 1000. Company 1000 gets an external bank statement including this transfer.
Step 1: First the external bank statement is being processed with FF.5 and FEBAN. Here are the resulting postings:
GL
Bank Comp. 1000 Clearing Bank
100 ¦ ¦ 100
IHC
IHC Account Comp. 2000 Clearing IHC
100 ¦ ¦ 100
Step 2: At the end of day the general ledger transfer is executed with transaction F9HI. There are only postings in GL resulting from this transaction (highlighted with >> <<).:
Bank Comp. 1000 Bank Clearing IHC Clearing
100 ¦ >>100<< ¦ 100 ¦ >>100<<
Additionally there are some postings in the local systems of subsidiary 2000 and of the clearing partner (processing of internal bank statements provided by in-house bank).
Everything works fine except of the posting on account Clearing IHC (see step 1). Obviously IHC allows partial bookings. Is there any possibility to enforce a posting on the IHC clearing account?
Hope you can bring some light in the dark of spro.
Best regards

Document type should always post to specific account type
Hello experts,
I have 1 question, Depeneding on the Document type definition I can post to different account types (S, K, D , M ,A). Assume I created a doc type ZA and checked all the account types then it allows me post to all the account types.
Here I want the document type ZA to validate one of the line in the document should always be type K (vendor). In short in the combinaton of account types posted to under this document type should always have one specified account type.
All contributions welcome.
Thanks,
KKRHi Eli,
I am not sure how to do that in this case, I have worked on validations before and I always worked with 'Constants'. If I write
If Doc type is ZA
then account type should be 'K'
But the problem is it wont allow me to post as the other line will always be different, that means a combination K and other than K.
And we are not sure how many lines going to be there in a GL document.
Do I nee to look at user exits in validations? If yes, please let me know how can I do that.
Thanks,
KKR

Allow posting to reconcilation account
Hi
How to allow posting to reconciliation account ?
Thanks
SNHi Satya,
If I understand correctly, you want to change the reconciliation Account for assets and allow GL postings. For Asset Accounting, SAP allows the functionality to make a reconciliation Account a GL account and then revert it back to Reconciliation Account.
You can make the settings in IMG using the following path:
Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Preparing for Production Startup ->
Production Startup ->Set or Reset Reconciliation Accounts
Hope this resolves your issue

Does Foreign Currency Revaluation Post to an Account which is Open Item Man
Hi,
When running the FC revaluation, it is not posting to an account which is Open Item managed.
I have read somewhere that FC Reval. does not post to accounts which are OI managed or the Recon accounts.
Is this correct? If yes, what are the option for posting to an account which is OI managed?Hello Deepak,
In FAGL_FC_VAL,the flag of revferse postings is only for "G/L account Balance valuation", not for open line items account(OPLA). and addition. and for OPLA, the system was desiged to post reversal document Auto.
In case in your countries you are not allowed to reverse year-end foreign
currency valuation postings in the following year, pls. using the Delta Logic Foreign Currency Valuation, for the details pls. refer to note:960661.
Hope the above informations are useful to you!

Manual posting to reconciliation account under asset account group
We need to maintain Asset Group (G007) to allow manual input in order to post a period end-closing adjustment as required by our external auditors. ( i.e in the reconciliation account under the asset account group, we need to check the 'allow manual input' option so as to do posting to this account manually).
Under normal circumstances, the posting should have been from WBS Element, to AUC, then to Fixed Assets. However, since all the procedures have been completed until Depreciation Run, we have no option but to input this manually.
Similar Recon accounts which allow manual inputs are Accounts Receivable (GL Code 115000) and Accounts Payable (GL 210000).
My intention is to have this captured in the system as of Dec. 31, 2008; Reversed the same transaction on 01-Jan-09 and process it normally as mentioned above.
Valuable assistance will be highly appreciated.
Best regards,You can make manual postings on the asset reconciliation account with the transaction ABF1
Use PK 70 or 75 , G/L account and transaction type 100.
The result is that asset accounting is no longer in line with your G/L accounts.
Put this transaction in your authorization make the posting and reverse and take the transaction out off the authorization!
