Before you can start using Windows Azure, you need to get a subscription.
If you have subscriptions that are not active, please contact Microsoft Support.
As I go to MSDN and try to activate it does not and it shows on MSDN that I have a MSDN account. We are also in cloud essentials as a MPN.
My email address is [email protected]
Any help would be appreciated

  • Microsoft Azure Free Trial and Microsoft Partner free credits for Azure

    Dear Sir/Madame,
We are from QVS Group and have a Microsoft Partner member. We are interested in Azure and registered for the Free Trial were we get 150 euro from start and then 75 euro each month
because we are a Microsoft Partner.
Where can we see our credits that we received from Microsoft and where can we see if we are outside our credit limit? And do we already have the credits now?
I hope we can get a quick respond so we can Start using the Trial of Azure and in the future use the Full version.
    With kind regards,

    Hi,

  • Cancelled my Windows Azure Benefit for Visual Studio Premium with MSDN by mistake, and now?

    Hello
I have mistakenly cancelled my Windows Azure Benefit for Visual Studio Premium with MSDN subscription a couple of months ago not knowing what I was basically cancelling. Today I wanted to start playing around with Windows Azure when I figured this out.
I still have a valid MSDN Premium Subscription and now when I click the link to Activate Windows Azure from the MSDN Benefits page I have to create a new subscription named "Visual Studio Premium with MSDN" and on the bottom of the page I see "Windows
Azure MSDN - Visual Studio Premium".
I the "Visual Studio Premium with MSDN" the one that I get with my MSDN subscription? I guess that the "Windows Azure MSDN - Visual Studio Premium" has been renamed.
All I see is that my "Visual Studio Premium with MSDN" has a spending limit of "75 euro" / month. This is all so confusing...

  • Partner Network shows Expired

We upgraded our MSDN Subscription over a month ago, and reported issues with our account about 3 Weeks ago.
When accessing our account from partners.microsoft.com (Partner Membership Center), MSDN, and Visual Studio Online we're greeted with errors stating that our subscription has expired.
    In partners.microsoft.com we see
    Organization Partner ID: XXXXXXX [Expired]
but also see 'Silver Active - Earned', and the messages:
    >Your re-enrollment request is being processed. This may take up to one hour.
    >Welcome Back! You are now re-enrolled in the Microsoft Partner Network
So far I've had the following responses:-
I've made some calls through the course of the day attempting to get
some more information about the status of your company's account.  I've
been informed that our technical team has identified a particular glitch
in our system which is somehow blocking your account from being
activated.  When asked when this would be fixed, they said they were
actively working on the issue but could provide no time frame for when
    it would be resolved.
I understand that this situation is far from satisfactory.  At this
point I can offer two options:
    1. Simply wait until the issue is resolved and your account is active
(keeping in mind that I have no way of knowing how long this will take).
    2. Request a refund of the fee you have already paid.  I can understand
if you choose this option. Just let me know, and I can process a refund
    request on your behalf
Our technical is working on this issue but there is no estimated
timeframe or workaround at the moment.
Please note that we are handling this with the priority it deserves.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I've been chasing it up over the telephone and by email for weeks.
I was initially told a same day response would be in order, which then changed to 3 day's for a response, and finally 10 days each time I called up. After the 10 days, no timeframe was provided.
Our Visual Studio Premium licenses continue to expire, we have no access to MSDN Downloads or any other MSDN benefits. All requests for assistance to obtain some benefits have been ignored by Microsoft so far. Right now I'm looking to develop for Office 365
but don't want to have to pay extra on top of services I should already be getting with MSDN.
    Thanks,
    John G

    John,
I'm unhappy to hear that you're not getting a straight answer from the support team you've been dealing with.
    Can you do the following:
    - visit http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions
    - scroll to the bottom and click "Site Feedback"
    - fill out the forum with a reference to this thread + your partner ID + your MSDN Subscriber ID if you have one (shown on the My Account page).
This will put an email in my inbox and I"ll reply to you with a bit more information.  I'll see if I can shake something loose with the mpn team.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Microsoft Partner Subscription - Unable to create Win7 or 8 client VM

I'm currently commissioning multiple environments in Azure using our company's Microsoft Partner Network subscription
However, I'm unable to spin up any Windows 8 or Windows 7 VMs - there is no option to select these types of machine in the VM gallery - why is this??

    I'm sorry but I don't understand
I want to run one, or two instances of Windows 8 Azure VMs within our Microsoft Partner Network account so I am able to demo our system to customers
I am unable to select Windows 8 as VM type when I am logged into Azure using credentials which are linked to our Microsoft Partner Network account.
I have an MSDN subscription which shares the same Live account that I am using to log into Azure under the Microsoft Partner Network subscription. The MSDN account is given to me by my company, through the Microsoft Partner Network agreement.
Why can I not use my MSDN account with my company's Microsoft Partner Network subscription?

  • Photosmart premium all in one and wireless G network

Is the new photosmart premium with built-in Ethernet, WiFi 802.11n backward compatible on b/g wireless network?  Will it connect wirelessly to my Linksys WiFi 802.11g network?
    Thanks!

Yes, 802.11n devices, including our two new Photosmart Premium All-In-One printers, are compatible with 802.11g wireless networks.
A bit of background:  the 802.11n standard that was just recently ratified mandates compatibility with 802.11g and 802.11b networks and devices.  You can even mix devices on the same network.  For example, you can setup a 802.11n network and connect both 802.11n and 802.11g devices and have the 802.11n devices run at 802.11n speeds.
You could also connect 802.11b devices to your 802.11n network though from a performance point of view, that isn't recommended.  The presence of any 802.11b devices in vicinity of 802.11g or 802.11n networks degrades those networks.

  • Microsft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and 32bit Retail with WinNt, WinPE, WinMCE networking install no notification

I have not been given any explanations for my multiple electronic communication device retail purchase problems. When ever I purchase a retail smartphone or retail notebook computer they do not have actual installed operating systems as advertised. The android
operating systems are Developer SDK. The operating system on my Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy Ring is Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 purchased this year is part of a Developer SDK. I purchased a Samsung i7 Chronos win8 64 bit notebook at Best Buy last year and it
was configured as a Network Server Client in User Mode through the American Mega Trends Aptio Bios Setup Utility that had been customized to bypass regular Configuration files and install a custom operating systems on Network Volumes instead of the actual
partitioned hard drive. I ended up with WinPE boot in to WinNT and WinMCE in an OEM Networking client server platform partial operating virtual operating systems that I have been allowed a user profile with permissions in the Administrators Group. I am not
even the administrator of my own personal computer. Someone I do not know has hijacked the highest Administrative Authority at retail purchase and open up a number of profiles to the general public through the server client software. They have automated and
live access to the operating systems power up or power down. I do not even think the notebook is ever powered down even though the power and activity lights are out. It is like someone has taken the windows operating system I was suppose to get at retail and
swop it for partial virtual operating systems interface to network client software through serveers. I took the SamSung Chronos back to Best Buy and exchanged it for an Asus G75VX i7 Win8 64 bit gaming notebook with 3GB Nvidia Graphic's chip and 8GB memory
with 1TB hard drive 3D ready and it was configured the same way as the Samsung. I took it back and returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for another brand new in the unopen box Asus G75VX i7 win8 64bit notebook. I took it back for Best Buy to take a look
at it because it was also configured the same way. Then I sent it to the Asus Service Center two times and it was returned to me both times configured the same way. Before I sent it back to Asus the two times I went to Fry's and purchased Windows 7 Home Premium
32 and 64bit operating systems on DVD and the notebook configured the software the same way. After install of win7 32 or 64bit the installed operating systems did not recognize the Window's 7 Home Premium 32 and 64bit retail DVD as the same version of operating
system. I took a look at the installation files on the retail disk and the configuration installed on the computer came from the software disk and the rest through background network servers but there is something in the AMI Aptio Bios that voids any of the
regular Configuration Files. My computer does not even recognize the configuration file in the normal sense on the retail disk. All of the system file extensions have been altered and been added to creating almost unlimited file extensions like the system
ran on Text. I paid $975.00 for the Samsung Chronos, $1375.00 for the two Asus G75VX's, $216.00 for the win7 DVD, $120.00 or more for insured postage on the to trips to the Asus Service Center not counting Asus prepayment of postage because I had to reship
the notebook in order to get it to me. I have spent about $150.00 or more on software for disk management, anti virus, internet security etc. The retail purchase were modified on return purchases. Since 2007 I have gone through about seven smart phone brand
new, About four of five regular internet phones and about eight notebook computers with three being used and five being brand new.
I still do not have an actual operating system installed on the actual retail hard drive and my notebook is not repaired. I have operating systems installed on Network Disk Volumes that are installed on a GPT Server Partition. The configuration visually
alters from background activities. All of my information is made public through the Virtual Public Shared C: drive.
I am legally disable and a pro se litigator in the United States Federal Courts. Since 2007 I have litigated in three civil actions in the United States District Courts and in one all the way to the United States Supreme Court. I am currently still litigating
in one as a legal interpreter and have done all of the legal work in that action since 2011. I have a civil litigation history in the United States District Courts dating back 28 years.
Having all of my communication devices hacked and the legal and personal information publicly shared through three federal civil actions and through public entity department and agencies is a gross violation of United States Constitution Article IV Citizenship
rights. A gross violation of the Bill of Rights First Amendment Rights to Petition the court for Redress of Grievances and Bill of Rights Fourth Amendment Privacy Rights and Bill of Rights Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection and Due Process rights. It is
a gross violation of the Federal Communications Act FCC Rule 255 person's with disabilities access to electronics's telephone communication equipment and software since my smart phones and notebook computers were configured with networking, management and
telephone hardware and software. It is a gross violation of Title II of the American with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended in rights of person's with disabilities. It is a gross violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended on the rehabilitation
rights of persons with disabilities. It is a gross violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights act of 1964 Civil Rights and it is a gross violation of litigation privacy rights within all of the federal court rules such as the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure,
Federal Rules of Evidence, Federal Appellate Court Rules, Local Court Rules and United States Supreme Court Rules and the United States Federal Pacer Electronic Court Account  and Filing System. It is also a gross violation of state law that has to comply
with federal law. There exists no question in law of the violations because I have furnished the computer registry files, Receipts and servicing records to Microsoft, Asus and others but nobody know how to solve the problem but the Win7 retail disks identical
to mine disappeared from retail store shelves. What is WNT_6.1H_64_MCE?oes anybody in the Microsoft and Asus community have any explanations for the total disregard for United States federal law and customer retail purchase rights? I went to Fry's and Best
Buy and took a look at a number of notebook computer files and configuration and a number of them were like mine. The thing that irritates me the most about the configuration if it is public is that it is not passive. A profile folder has been configured for
me that alters the configuration of what I purchased to violate my constitutional rights. They even alter the hardware and software settings to Legacy that ran on computers from ten fifteen years ago and force it on me at modern day electronics prices. That
    is not right.

Where no law is involved in denials and restrictions in constitutional rights it is impossible for it to be legal.
    J.P.

  • I've recently added the MacAir to my Microsoft /Windows network. The Mac sees my printers but all the printers are "paused" and I cannot print, even if directly attached. How do I fix this?

I've recently added the MacAir to my Microsoft /Windows network. The Mac sees my printers but all the printers are "paused" and I cannot print, even if directly attached. How do I fix this?

Yes, I've that and it didn't work. Today, I reinstalled printer software on one printer and the "paused" message changed to "offline". It's a three-in-one printer. I turned off and on again and it still says "offline"

  • Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.

    I posted in : http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/disconnected-network-drive-error-as-follows-an/9a877c38-5e86-4c34-84c2-427a965577c6?page=2
    Error:
"An error occurred while reconnecting drive letter to \\network server\share folder.
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored."
    1) A workstation is running Windows 7
    2) The user has a drive letter mapped to a UNC
    3) The connection is interrupted at some point and then restored
    4) Upon attempting to access the mapped network drive, the user gets the error about the letter being
    already in use.
Extremely disappointed that some of the posts marked as answers were obviously not, shows how poor the moderators here are.
My latest results clearly point to a Windows 7 client problem:
    I received the error.
Had run nslookup so had a prompt open.
ran dir z:    worked. went to Windows Explorer, same error.
ran dir z:\sharename    worked. went to Windows Explorer, same error.
copy con z: test.txt then type test.txt; could create and retrieve file. Went and clicked on mapped drive in Windows explorer and received same error.
Obviously(?) not a Server or Networking problem. Ran Malwarebytes from bootable CD (client doesn't believe in AV). Didn't happen with USB flash drive.
    Any other ideas?

This is usually because the drive letter assigned to the network share is taken by something else. Maybe, by a removable drive.
Moderators and other answerers do their best to help specific cases, but everyone has their own situation.  Apply common sense to the replies you find in the forums.
When you typed dir z:  - is Z: the drive letter you wanted for this share, or it was automatically assigned?
    -- pa
Alternatively you could try using common sense when you post, as well as taking the time to read the entire issue post so that you can avoid showing both your ignorance and arrogance (arrogance without any competency to back it I might add).
Suggesting that it might be "another drive" that took over the mapping shows your lack of reading comprehension and is unhelpful.   Please take the time to, once again, read first.
Lastly moderators here generally show little technical skill beyond entering search words into a knowledge-base of articles and then applying the results incorrectly further exacerbating the situation for the customer.

  • Get the MCC and the MNC of the SIM card and of the network

    Hello,
We publish a network speed and quality measurement application used on desktop, tablet and smartphone.
This application is called nPerf. It is available on desktop via a web browser at www.nperf.com, on iOS at ios.nperf.com and Android at android.nperf.com.
We are currently working on porting our solution for Windows Phone / Windows. The project is a universal project using Windows RT 8.1 (Visual Studio 2013 Express Update 4).
However, the project is currently "stuck" because we lack two essential information to identify the operator of the user: the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code), at least those contained in the SIM card.
Ideally, we would also need, in order of priority, the MCC and the MNC of the active connection (in the case of roaming), a DB signal strength of type RSSI or RSRP (more accurate than the number of reception bars displayed on the phone), the id of the cell
on which the connection is established (CellId) and the cell area code (LAC or TAC).
I have reviewed all the Windows RT 8.1 APIs available, particularly the namespace Windows.Networking.Connectivity and none seems to contain this information.
We would understand that it is not possible to access all this information but the SIM MCC and MNC are really needed and are available on other systems such as iOS or Android. It would really be a pity if we are not able to continue the development of this
application simply because these two information is not available ...
Would it be possible to tell us how to retrieve this information or, failing that, to give us the e-mail address or phone of a person likely to talk with us about this and identify possible steps to take to find a solution mutually acceptable?
    Thanking you in advance,
    FH Sarl company

    Hi Usnake,
“Mobile Network code” and “Mobile country code” has not public API to third party apps.

  • Web Premium CS4 and Offline Files Issue

My system: Multiple notebooks, laptops running Windows 7 Ultimate, all on a Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 network.
I have My Documents, My Pictures, and My videos folders rehomed to the server via group policy, and when I unplug from the network these folders are available to the disconnected laptop/pc via offline files (and the offline file cache).
My issue: When I install Web Premium CS4 on any machine, if my laptop/pc is disconnected from the network, the offline folders disappear, although the offline file management snap-in tab shows the cache is stored, and when I plug back in to the network, the folders will soon appear. When the folders are visible, the offline status shows "Always available offline".
When I uninstall CS4, the trouble does not get fixed, but a barebones install from a disk image prior to CS4 installation fixes the problem, making me think adobe somehow changes network/registry settings to accomodate their own cache, or maybe something to do with the Adobe Bridge (just guessing). This happens on both 64 bit and 32 bit versions of Win 7.
I have duplicated this issue on 3 different laptops, all with the same result. I opened a case with Adobe, but my case was immediately closed saying it was a Microsoft/network issue. In fact, I would guess the person who worked the case dismissed this out of hand, the case got closed so quickly.
Is there someone out there that has run into this issue?
    Thank you,
    Bob

Was this issue ever resolved? We are in the process of deploying design premium to around 1000 faculty members, and are experiencing the same issue. I wont know till the end of the day whether i can say 100% that its a CS 4 issue but im running a test on 3 laptops with slightly different configs.
All laptops are win7 enterprise, with folder redirection enabled, same symptoms are occuring.
As a test, i have been testing the offline files at different stages in the laptop bundle deployment to see where it starts to fail. I sync mydocs, undock laptop and then login to check offline files. I then wipe the CSC clean and move on to next step in deployment, and repeat check.
We are at the last step in deployment, adobe design premium CS4, and there have been no failures with offline files so far. After it finishes deploying ill report on my findings.
We have a ticket open with microsoft and  our sysadmin has been working with them for a few days to resolve the issue, and so far they have been baffled, escalating the ticket to a debug team. We have not yet mentioned that we suspect CS4 to be the issue, as they would probabily pass the buck and blame adobe, (similar to the OP saying adobe is blaming microsoft); we want them to fully investigate first.
    Sincerely,
    A Frustrated Team

I have updated to ios 7 and Microsoft outlook web access for work emails no longer works nor my remote access can you help

This happened to me as well. I read somewhere else that resetting the network settings (General, Reset, Reset Network Settings) would help and it partially did. I get half (the folders) of the Web Access screen rather than a blank screen. I tried tihs a few more times and got the right half (the messages) on occasion but never the whole web page.

  • Using Sun 7110 in a Microsoft AD network

I have a SUN 7110, I would like to use it as a file server in my Microsoft AD network. I have an old file server running on Windows 2003 server. I would like to move all files over to the 7110. If I choose to use CIFS is there a way for the 7110 to talk to AD. How would I create the shares and use AD authentication for the file.
I'm new to the 7110 so this might be an easy question

Thanks for sharing your idea here, it's really useful

  • Nexus 1000v, VMWare ESX and Microsoft SC VMM

    Hi,
Im curious if anybody has worked up any solutions managing network infrastructure for VMWare ESX hosts/vms with the Nexus 1000v and Microsoft's System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
There currently exists support for the 1000v and ESX and SCVMM using the Cisco 1000v software for MS Hyper-V and SCVMM.   There is no suck support for VMWare ESX.
Im curious as to what others with VMWare, Nexus 1000v or equivalent and SCVMM have done to work around this issue.
    Trying to get some ideas.
    Thanks

    Aaron,
The steps you have above are correct, you will need steps 1 - 4 to get it working correctly.  Normally people will create a separate VLAN for their NLB interfaces/subnet, to prevent uncessisary flooding of mcast frames within the network.
    To answer your questions
    1) I've seen multiple customer run this configuration
    2) The steps you have are correct
    3) You can't enable/disable IGMP snooping on UCS.  It's enabled by default and not a configurable option.  There's no need to change anything within UCS in regards to MS NLB with the procedure above.  FYI - the ability to disable/enable IGMP snooping on UCS is slated for an upcoming release 2.1.
This is the correct method untill the time we have the option of configuring static multicast mac entries on
the Nexus 1000v.  If this is a feature you'd like, please open a TAC case and request for bug CSCtb93725 to be linked to your SR.
This will give more "push" to our develpment team to prioritize this request.
Hopefully some other customers can share their experience.
    Regards,
    Robert
