MSN keeps coming up as my homepage. I do NOT want it as my home page. How do I block a site in Firefox?
I was perfectly happy with my Comcast home page. Recently, MSN has been loading as my home page. I have changed my home page 6 times in the Firefox Options menu, however, it does not stay. MSN keeps coming up. I want to block MSN.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have been noticing that when using the computer the mouse keeps going in places where I really do not want and just now select the sentence without I have done anything. Sometimes goes to places like bookmark or open tabs in website when I am reading a page.
Also I have noticed opened windows that I have not opened.
I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.
Also I have add a password to my computer and even using the same one it looks like is not working.
The I photo stopped working, Mac Mail does not let me add rules (this is from one day to the other)
The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.
In system preferences in the sharing folder is showing everyone and staff.
My computer is private I do not own a company and I do not have a network set up in my house.
I had my photos removed from my computer and even after trying to reinstall I photo and fix the Mac Mail is not working.
I am receiving emails saying that I have sent emails to people that I do not know and including in a time where I am working and not using the computer.
Any suggestions in how to fix this issue?
I really appreciate.With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

Firofx (5.0) starts with two pages. One is the welcome to Firofox and also that there are Add-ons available. The other one is my homepage (google). I want to stop the first page. How can I do this?

Each time I open my Firefox browser, the tab from the last time opens. I have the browser set to open on my home page, not to the tab from the last time. I keep trying to save the setting for the browser to open on my home page but it doesn't.
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

I added a persona, wanted a new one so disabled and removed the old one. I added a new persona, but the old one keeps coming back. Going into tools/add ons does no good because it is not even listed anymore but keeps coming back. I've shut down/restarted, I've searched for answers to this problem.
The data that specifies which persona to display is stored as a pref in the prefs.js file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Did you try to rename or move the prefs.js file and a possible user.js file to see if that helps?
Are you using the Personas Plus extension, because in that case you need to check the settings in that extension.

Before the updates, the Adobe Flash player NEVER crashed in Firefox (it did in Google Chrome all the time) and now it's crashing in all my favorite games....Farmville, Frontierville, Yoville, and Treasure Isle. It doesn't seem to be effecting the less-detailed Zynga games, such as Mafia Wars or Vampire Wars; and I can go into more detailed games that aren't Zynga and they seem to work fine too. I am not 100% sure what exactly the problem is, or who is causing it because I had a Firefox update, and then an Adobe update to the 10.1 beta. So I'm not sure if it's one or the other, or both of them put together.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the flash player so many times my mind is numb, and even tried to find the one I had prior to this new 10.1 and nothing has worked. I even did what that link Chris posted to do, and I thought it had worked at first...I actually got to go into my Farmville and Treasure Isle for a little bit, then it turned around and crashed again.
This is literally driving me crazy trying to figure it all out.....and it upsets me that everything was fine one day, then after some updates, everything is messed up. And it's just my luck that it effected some of the games I like to play the most. -
The first run page keeps opening every time I open my home page, how do I turn it off?
When I first downloaded FF 4 on my netbook I got the first run, welcome to FF 4 screen. As usual. But it keeps coming back. Every time I open FF it opens the welcome screen in the first tab and in the second tab is my home screen.
If FF is already open and I want to open my home screen in another tab, it simultaneously the welcome screen in one tab and my home screen in another.
I will not upgrade the rest of my machines to either FF4 or 5 until this is fixed.A couple of possible causes, you have multiple home pages set, or the preferences file can not be updated. For details on both of those, see [[Firefox has just updated tab shows each time you start Firefox]].

Downloaded Firefox and Zone Alarm came along with it and serves as homepage. Do not want it.
Since downloading Firefox yesterday, I cannot get rid of Zone Alarm. It comes up as my homepage, which I do not want. I go to options and it clearly shows my home page is yahoo, but, what comes up is ZA

I have a gateway NV53A laptop. My homepage has always been http://www.yahoo.com/?ilc=1. Suddenly about 2 days ago, it started coming up as Mozilla.org and no matter what I do it will not stay as the yahoo.com homepage. I have followed every one of the directions listed for people who had the same kind of problem and it will fix it until I shut down or restart the computer. If I have to just get rid of Mozilla I will do that because I have now spent 2 days on this and I'm sick of it. I have done the thing with the preferences, the thing with setting up your homepage, the thing with getting rid of the pref.js and it just comes back and it still goes to firefox. I have right clicked the pref tab and it isn't locked. So if you can help me then that would be great but I have just about decided it is a lost cause.

this accessory is not optimised for this phoneClean your dock connector, used canned air & a soft toothbrush. Look closely...a small piece of lint or other crud can create a short, thus producing that error message. Also look for any bent pins.

Does anyone know how to eliminate a mistaken apple ID that you still use as an email
but for some reason, now when I go to make a purchase at ITunes, it brings up this email
as my apple ID instead of my actual Id and it will not take the current password I have for
this email. Somehow I believe it is confused, because years ago this was my first email, and
it had a different password way back then, that I no longer remember.
I am very sorry if this all sounds confusing, but my Mac book has been out of commission for the

and I don't think I'll be able to even use ITunes at all until I can know how to make my devices realize

My Sons iPod Touch Recently Reads Low Battery all the Time now Since downloading and Playing COD ... Is there a Simple Fix for this ??? If the memory is low, double click the home button to bring up the multitask bar, tap on one of the apps shown until they start to shake, then hit the little red minus to close them. After all apps are closed that way, press the home button again and see if it works now.
Maybe you'll reset the device as well by pressing the home and sleep button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing this, but it can clear some glitches as well. -
