MSWord embedded in iFrame?

I hope that this question isn't repeated, I can't find the answer for my problem till now.
The idea is that i need to launch a new word file in MSWord embeded in iFrame in html page, then after i allow the user to edit the file. i need to get a reference that word file and upload it to the server. Any help would be appreciated:)

Hi,
Could you please tell me how you accomplished this. I am trying to embed a MsWord document from the server which I embed in the browser using Iframe. This works fine. Now the user can make changes to this document and once hes done on click of a button we need to upload the file back to the server.
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks

  • Embedding in Iframe with search

    Hello,
      I am embedding a pdf in an IFrame, and then searching it using "#search=search_term".  The problem is that this does a whole-word search, so if I do #search=admin, it will not pick up administrator.  How do we pass a search such that it is not fullscreen?
    Cheers,

    When clicking "Music" on the top menu, this default submenu page (the one shown above) never breaks. However! Once I start navigating through the submenu options (e.g. TV Music, Records, etc...) any page that loads in the iFrame that has both video and text (like this Film Music one) becomes unreliable! Sometimes it shows up fine, and others, the text from the iFrame disappears! The video stays there.
    I magically found out that if I scroll the page, the text comes back. The only thing getting affected is the content of the source page that gets loaded in the iFrame. Why is this happening??
    I read it in your other post. Must have missed it.
    I noticed the same problem in my iframe page.
    I think it's some Safari issue.

  • ADF Tabe's Pagination link does not work when embedded in iframe

    Hi experts,
    When I embedded ADF table(with JSF) in iframe like below code, the pagination link does not work. Is it a known bug?
    <iframe width=100% height=500 src="http://rst-act3ct2.us.oracle.com:8888/test/faces/modify.jspx" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
    When I use <object> instead of <iframe>, the pagination works again. However, <object> could not be used in my project.
    Any idea on it?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    if you are on JDeveloper 10.1.3 then chances are that the problem can be pointed back to the mismatch of HTML and JavaServer Faces. At least you should make sure you work with a recent JDeveloper 10.1.3 release

  • Parse HTML document embedded in IFRAME

    Dear fellows:
    How can I access contents of an HTML document embedded in an IFRAME tag, by using java class HTMLEditorKit.Parser?
    It is well known that the contents of such embedded HTML document can be accessed by javascript at front end. However, I am more interested on processing it at backend, using HTMLEditorKit.Parser, or any java swing API.
    Thanks for help.

    The javax.swing.text.html framework barely supports HTML 3.2.

  • Fast Response Appreciated - Calling Edge Function from an HTML page embedded in iFrame within Comp

    This is a tricky one, but it may just be that I don't understand the syntax,
    Situation:
    I have an Edge Animate composition that is acting as an interface and container into which other content is embedded using an iFrame.  I have several functions in Stage > creationComplete, and for one of the embedded content pieces, I want to include a button that calls one of the Edge functions.
    Challenge:
    I have read about referencing elements within Edge when it is the Edge file that is embedded on an HTML page, but I cannot figure out how to reference Edge in the reverse.
    I have tried these options where headerselect(page) is my function:
    AdobeEdge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");
    window.top.Edge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");
    This is for a project that is time sensitive.  Your immediate help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Fred

    Justin,
    Looks like someone has already responded to your post. Did that answer your
    question? In their suggestion, they indicated that you could actually
    created the jplayer instance within the Edge composition, and therefore
    have more direct access to its events. If that will not work for you, it
    may help to know how your page is laid out.  Where is the Edge file in
    relation to the jplayer and how do you intend for them to interact?  Does
    the player need to be outside of Edge for some reason?
    Let me know if you still need help. Thanks!

  • Adobe-Edge content not displayed in iframes on Internet Explorer 9

    Hi all,
    I'm having trouble to see my content, generated w/ Adobe Edge, on Internet Explorer 9, when I'm embedding via iframes.
    Here's an example: http://n-land.de/bilder/bilder.html
    Did anybody experience the same problem, yet?
    Cheers,

    Try this thread, it helped me:

    I had same problem - on all browsers Adoeb Edge app was swhowing in iframe except IE (9).
    So i locally made another index.html file, which loads as object main animate html file. And then in iFrame I laod that index.html

  • AIR for Android - StageWebView and Video (YouTube iFrame)

    Hey all,
    I've been converting an iOS tablet app over to Android and I've noticed the StageWebView has some curious limitations, especially with anything that accessed the GPU (video, etc).
    At first the embedded YouTube (iframe) videos would just show the first frame of the video dutifully with the usual play button. When pressed, the video went black and all I heard was audio. The reason I even mention this is it took quite a while to locate this Adobe page with a section entitled "Enabling Flash Player and other plug-ins in a StageWebView object". So I added in the application tag to enable the plugins with acceleration (<application android:hardwareAccelerated="true"/>) and now I can see video.
    The erratic thing is on ICS (Android 4.0.x) the video plays in the StageWebView but it horizontally closes to about 20% its normal width. The video player doesn't scale to 20% width, the iframe is just somehow collapsing to that narrow width removing the ability to see 80% of the video or use the controls (e.g. no fullscreen button visible).
    When tested on Jelly Bean (4.1.x) the video does not pinch horizontally, it (amusingly) plays horizontally backwards (mirrored) and upside down.
    Previously with hardwareAccelerated="true" missing I could press play and then toggle fullscreen and the video would work fine. After adding hardwareAccelerated="true" I can no longer use fullscreen, it crashes the devices after locking up.
    I also tried appending ?html5=1 to the YouTube videos to force GoogleAPI to choose a HTML5 player. This didn't do anything.
    Has anyone found the sacred tome of knowledge required to get an embedded YouTube video to play in a StageWebView iframe?

    Hi Sinuous.  Thanks for all your good help so far.
    I decided to go the ANE route.  I found an example ANE that plays videos, to follow, and I am getting on famously so far.  I can send a message from Javascript (in the SWV) to Flex (using the location trick), and from there I instruct the ANE to show and play the video, which appears on top of the SWV.  Huzzah.   I have two questions for you (or others listening).
    1.  My build has one platform:   <platform name="Android-ARM">
          Do I need another for Intel, or other architectures that Andriod supports?
    2.  My video appears full-screen.  How can I control the size and position of the video?  I've tried a couple
         of things that don't seem to work.  The code resembles this:
    //get the root container
              ViewGroup rootContainer = (ViewGroup)((ViewGroup)getActivity().findViewById(android.R.id.content)).getChildAt(0);
    //make a VideoView
              VideoView videoView = new VideoView(getActivity());
              videoView.setZOrderOnTop(true);
              videoView.setMediaController(new MediaController(getActivity()));
    //make a video container and add the video view
              ViewGroup videoContainer = new FrameLayout(getActivity());
              videoContainer(videoView, new FrameLayout.LayoutParams(LayoutParams.MATCH_PARENT, LayoutParams.MATCH_PARENT));
    //add the video container to the root container
              rootContainer.addView (videoContainer, new LayoutParams(LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT, LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT, Gravity.CENTER));
    //set the video URL and start it
              videoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse(url));
              videoView..start();

  • DOM events not propigating to Iframe that are in parent element that have a js library applied

    I have a site: http://stage.globalpost.com/special-reports/burmese-journey
    The videos on slide #2 and #3, which are embedded using iframes are not able to be activated or clicked
    Tried everything to get this to work, pointer-events, z-index, ect. It works in all modern browsers and Firefox PC, but not Firefox mac.

    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Hide div within iframe and search input

    Hi I have a website where I am embedding an iframe to view real estate listings. I have figured out how to adjust iframe height to match the iframes source height, however now I want to remove the menu bar at the top of my iframe souce. How can I target a specific div in an iframe to hide it so it is not included in the iframe. I found the div id I want to hide, is this possible to do in muse isntead of each html page bc I have to do it to a lot of pages. You can see what I mean here.. http://kmartinezmedia.com/ebmiami/rent.html. I also have another iframe on my homepage which is a dropbown search menu. Is it possible to instead create this dropdown within muse and edit the option values to match.. basically i just need a better alternative than using iframe on home page for a search bc I want the results to load either in another muse pages iframe, or another div at bottom of homepage-  http://kmartinezmedia.com/ebmiami/

    Hi,
    I think you'll have to develop your own custom search component that only contains the search button.

  • IFrame instead of Tabular Form...

    Experts,
    I have a table I want my users to work on, preferably using a tabular form. The columns are a bit like this: Country, State/Province, City. The most useful way to do this would be 3 drop-down lists, each value cascading to the next LOV and paring it down appropriately.
    This is not an "out of the box" feature of App Express tabular forms/updateable reports. However, it is (almost) trivial with a normal form.
    What I have done, is built the normal form, then hooked it into a normal report by embedding an IFRAME in the report. When a user clicks the "edit" link, the iframe source is populated with an appropriate URL for the underlying normal form. The user works on the data and hits "SAVE". After the data is saved, the frame is closed and the report is refreshed.
    Question: Is this an acceptable design pattern? It is really, really easy to code. Can you think of cons to doing things this way?
    Thank you!
    Dan

    Hello Dan,
    " However, it is (almost) trivial with a normal form."If you know how to do it on a normal form, I don't see any reason why not doing the same on a tabular form. It is the same principle.
    Tabular form allows you to use a select list based on SQL query – for your on-demand process, and each updatable filed in the tabular form has a unique ID, which is a function of the row and column of the cell – for your point of origin. Using the same technique you are using for a regular form cascading select items, you can do exactly the same here.

    Arie.

  • How to get error information back from Office Web Apps server?

    I'm developing a web application with an embedded Word iframe that interfaces with an Office Web Apps server; I am trying to implement the MS-FSSHTTPB protocol for my WOPI server.
    More details here. When I send a bad response back to the OWA server it stops making requests to the WOPI server and sends the following error message back to the browser client: "Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document. If this
    happens again, try opening the document in Microsoft Word."
    Is there a way I can get additional information about what went wrong so that I can correct it?

    Yes, this is closely related to SharePoint.
    I'm trying to embed a Word editor in our web app. The Word iframe is served from the OWA server. It typically communicates with a SharePoint server to receive information about the document its trying to display.
    I'm trying to implement the SharePoint portion. The servers communicate via the MS-FSSHTTPB protocol (among others) which I'm struggling to implement. When I send a response to the OWA server that it doesn't like then it stops replying. I'm wondering how
    I can retrieve the exact error the occurred.
    I believe I originally posted this question to Open Specifications  >  SharePoint Server Protocols.

  • How to link to a youtube or vimeo video in Adobe Presenter

    I am new to using Presenter, and am having trouble inserting videos in Adobe Presenter (the videos are often over 1 hour in duration) and am wondering if it's possible to instead insert/embed the link to the video, which is hosted on either YouTube or Vimeo. Is there a simple way to do this?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi akuswara3, thanks for your reply.
    Unfortunately, it appears that that the method I originally posted (above) is now broken in Presenter 8 and 9.  The YouTube video still plays fine, but otherwise the entire Presenter interface breaks as soon as the video is played (all clickable items stop responding).
    That being said, you don't really need to be a Flash developer to create an SWF handler for a YouTube video.  If you have access to the Flash development application, then all you need to do is
    Open Flash (from your CS6 bundle)
    Paste the above ActionScript into the "Actions Frame"
    Modify the script according to the instructions above to make the script call the desired YouTube video
    Click File->Publish to output a SWF file.
    That's it.  Google's YouTube API (and its AS3 interface) simplifies the matter, doing all the heavy lifting for us.  The end result will be a SWF file that uses the YouTube API to call, load, and play a YouTube video.  Anywhere you can embed that SWF file, you can play a YouTube video.
    Unless, of course, Adobe does something to break it.
    Oh BTW - as for your last question.  I do believe that the newest release of Adobe Captivate allows for HTML embedding, including <iframes>.  This would effectively eliminate the problem altogether, as you could simply embed YouTube videos using the <iframe> embed code that YouTube generates for you.
    But for now, the best way to get a YouTube into Adobe Presenter is via hyperlink (very disappointing).  Instead of a plain text hyperlink, I'd suggest a screenshot of the video and hyperlinking the image instead - or at least creating a "video button" in the PPT (better interface communication).

  • Flash wmode opaque/transparent cause UI messup

    Hi,
      We are using Flex to develope flash tool, we have issues when embedded in iframe, if we are using default window wmode, everything is working fine, but unfortunately we can't use this mode because the iframe has a dropdown list and has to be above our flash layer, so we use opaque mode, we find that there are following two major issues:
    1. UI rendering is messed up when user scrolls up and down using the scroll bar
    2. user can't type in non-ascii characters
      The first issue is a killer for us, if anyone can shed some lights on it, that would be super, I really googled for a many hours without a good solution yet.

    I have definitely experienced the same issue(s). I was able to overcome these issues by upgrading to a later version of the Flex SDK and wrapping all of my content in the appropriate control for scrolling, eg when scrolling spark components, wrap them in a Group.
    There are a lot of weird bugs with Flash Player when using wmode:opaque. I can't scroll using my mouse wheel when using wmode:opaque, and weird things happen with text inputs. This is a major bug in Flash Player that really needs to be addressed.
