Mulitple Line column headers for a column in ALV using Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hi WD4A Gurus,
       I have requirement to display the header name in multiple lines for a single column using ALV. How to achieve this, do I need to do some custom code? Please help me with sample code.
Example:
existing column name :
            Name   | Date (mm/dd/yyyy) | Amount
required column name:
            Name   |    Date               | Amount
(mm/dd/yyyy)

yes you can do that....
for exaple if you observe SDN...
you can imagine like....
A big Transparent Container(TC)....
Inside that number of other TCs(depending upon the question nd its replies...)....
In side each TC, again around 9 UIElements....
one for menioning what is the question/reply?
other for your description of question/reply...
other for your name,
displaing your fourm point... etc...
So it will be
for(loop till your (Question+No of replies))
Create Transparent Container....
Add Childs to the Container...
Decide your layout....
In case if you want to know how to create UIElements dynamically....

Events on ALV in Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hi
On an ALV GRID in ABAP one can use the event handle_data_changed that is activated immediately at the time data is changed.
Is there a similar event in ALV in Web Dynpro for ABAP?
How would I know if any data was changed in an ALV grid in WDA?

Hi,
To trigger the DATA_CHECK event on pressing enter, you need to use the set_data_check method. Use the following code:
l_alv_model->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_data_check( IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
Now you can define the data check event handler and it will get triggered when you change something and press enter, or even if you click on another cell. The DATA_CHECK attribute will by default be set to be trigger only on clicking the 'check' button. This will change it.

Creating Sales Order using Web Dynpro for java

Hi SDN,
I am new to Web Dynpro for java. I have developed an application for creating a sales order using adaptive RFC Model using BAPI. It's working fine when i create a single order. I wanna create SO with more than one line item. I have used the Table UI Element to do so. But i could not able to enter the 2nd item details. Please suggest me how to pass more than one line item from the Table UI element.

Do you need to display the header items and detailed items?
If the BAPI Contains Output values in R/3 side.
I mean to say if BAPI contains 4 line items.u can get thru wdjava the followinf way.
1. Create webdynpro application.
2.Import the model.
3.Create Customcontroller and model binding .
4. Write the execute method in controller.
BAPI b = new BAPI();
WdContext.node<BAPI>.bind(b);
give inputs for BAPI
b.setname(" ");
b.setno("");
wdContext.currentBAPI().modelObejet().execute();
wdContext.node<output>.invalidate(); in try catch
5. create view or when u give the dynpro application its
in the add custom to view and drag BAPI custom to view .
6.Crete UI for ur table thru insertTemplate table directly mapp the output values.
7. deploy and run
U can get the out line items .
Or any thing else post ur requirement.

I have a problem. I want to delete a data form table,ues RFC fuction
(ex: Bapi_Delete_Travel_Expense_Input)
the model need three mandatory parameter ,"number","tripnumber","framedata".
my code:
deleteNode.bind(deleteElement);
deleteElement.setnumber("28002");
deleteElement.setTripnumber("100041");
but the "framedata" is a structure ,is node ,not a attribute.
I don't know how to write the code. Please give me some suggest

Dynamic DropDowns using Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hi,
I'm creating my first Web Dynpro for my new client.
The requirement is this:
There are three fields to be displayed on a screen - FieldA, FieldB, FieldC.
All three should appear as DropDowns on the screen.
FieldA determines the possible value list of FieldB.
Once Field B is selected, FieldA and FieldB determines the possible value list of FieldC.
Each of the fields have their own "master" and text tables. (eg: like T005 and T005T).
There is also a "matrix" table that contains all three fields (as Primary Keys). Note: There is also a "Disabled flag" field.
So basically we have 3 tables containing the master records.
We use these values to build a matrix of combinations:
FieldA   FieldB   FieldC   Disabled
A111     B111     C111     ' '
A111     B111     C222     ' '
A111     B111     C333     'X'
A222     B111     C111     ' '
A222     B111     C333     ' '
A222     B222     C111     ' '
Now, we want to display the three fields on a Web Dynpro View.
I've created View Context as follows:
CONTEXT
+-- Header_Data (node)
      +-- FIELDA_NODE (node)
          +-- FIELDA_CODE (attribute)
          +-- FIELDA_TEXT (attribute)
FIELDA_NODE is based on the Disctionary Structore of FieldA's text table (which contains, the LANGU field, and the FieldA Code and Text fields)
Cardinality and Selection are both 0..1
FIELDA_CODE (attribute) has Input Value Mode of "Automatic". When I chose this, SAP derived the Type of Input Help as "Search Help" and Determined Input Help as "ZFIELDA_SH" (which I created using the "master" and text tables).
(Note: FIELDB and FIELDC are defined the same way).
I then created the Layout:
For FEILDA_CODE, I created a DropDownByKey (using the context menu item "Create Container Form"). So now, FIELDA_CODE's property selectedKey is "...HEADER_DATA.FIELDA_NODE.FIELDA_CODE" (as per above View Context).
Now when I run the Web Dynpro Application, I get the error:
Context Path HEADER_DATA.FIELDA_NODE.FIELDA_CODE Cannot Be Resolved (Last Node Is Empty) ?ꯀ ??
Can anybody help with this?
I have no idea why it's doing this. I assume I've missed a step or done something completely wrong!
I've tried DropDownByIndex for FIELDA_CODE, and got the error message:
The ASSERT condition was violated.
(Note: One way that does work is to create a Supply Function (node property) for the FIELDA_NODE. And create a DropDownByIndex for the FIELDA_TEXT field/attribute.)
But, I feel this should be un-necessary. Since I have the master and text tables, I have the Search Help, I should be able to create a DropDownByKey field - without need for any coding.
Also, once FieldA is working.
How can I restrict FieldB and FieldC (based on the matrix table above)?
I created an OnSelect event for FIELDA, but in the EventHandler module I wasn't sure
(1) what was the easiest way to get the selected value of FIELDA, and
(2) how to the restrict the possible values of FIELDB.
Any help would of great value!

In order to use a DropDownByIndex the needs to be set to multiple. Currently, the node is 0..1. Please set it to 0..N and it should work.
The reason why the DropDownByKey does not work is that the node has no element. Using 0..1 means that initially no element is present. You need to supply one.
In summary, a better design would be to decouple the places where the dropdownbykey and dropdownbyindex get their data from or to use two dropdownbyindex with a master/detail relationship.

Modify SAP data using Web Dynpro for ABAP

Experts,
I have a question. We all have working in web Dynpro to create report.
I was trying to display the data in table and update the data.
When I click on Save button the data should be saved in the SAP table.
SAP table may be standard or user-defined table.
Any idea of how to do it???

Hi,
The solution to this is very similar to the reports that we write.
1. Create a context node from the dictionary element in the view of the webdynpro component.
2. Now you may be displaying/editing this data in the form of a table in the view layout. For this create a table in the layout and bind the fields of the context to the node you created from the dictionary table in the context.
3. In the layout you also want to have a button SAVE. on the event of this button. Write the code from code wizard where in
a. Read the context of the dictionary table from the context.
b. call method
CALL METHOD lo_nd_group->get_elements
RECEIVING
set = lt_ddictable.
c. update the database table using the internal table lt_ddictable.

but i want get changed data only, not all data.

Hi,
To get only the changed data in the ALV grid of a WD, you need to capture the "ON_DATA_CHECK" of the ALV grid.
To this please do the following in the ALV initialization of the ALV table settings :
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(
            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
You may also do this:
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CHECK_EVENT)
The above two ways would depend on when do you need to check for the changed data. If you want to check the data as soon as it is entered, then use the first method. Else, use the second method.
You need to register an EVENT HANDLER for this event.(You may do this in your VIEW or Component Controller).
In this Event handler, you would find an importing parameter R_PARAM which is a ref type of      IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK.
The attribute T_MODIFIED_CELLS of this interface IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK will contain the modified cells of the ALV with the old & new values.

Changing colour based on cells for ALV in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to change the font color for some cells of ALV in Web Dynpro ABAP. I am able to change the font color for whole row or whole column but need to know how to change it based on cells.
My output should be something like the picture attached to this discussion. The coloumns/cells where I need the font colour can change for different rows, based on some internal condition.

Your requirement can be achieved as below
Create an attribute for each column of alv i.e. COLOR_F1, COLOR_F2, COLOR_F3...... COLOR_F10 of type WDY_UIE_LIBRARY_ENUM_TYPE in the context node which holds the color value
Now while configuring ALV, set the field name of semantic color for each column as below
               data lv_color_fld_name type string.
               data lo_text_view type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view.
          loop at lt_columns into ls_column.
          concatenate 'COLOR' ls_column-id into lv_color_fld_name separated by '_'.
          lo_text_view ?= ls_column-r_column->get_cell_editor( ).
          if lo_text_view is bound.
          lo_text_view->SET_SEMANTIC_COLOR_FIELDNAME( value = lv_color_fld_name ).
          endif.
          endloop.
Set the color based on the condition
         loop at lt_data into ls_data.
                    if ..... "your condition here.
                    ls_data-color_f1 = cl_wd_text_view=>e_semantic_color-NEGATIVE.
                    ls_data-color_f2 = cl_wd_text_view=>e_semantic_color-POSITIVE.
                    elseif...... " another condition
                    endif.
          endloop.
Note: You can optimize the code as per your requirement

ALV Web Dynpro for ABAP enable/disable single row

hi all,
is it possible to change the layout of one single row or cell in a alv (component SALV_WD_TABLE) web dynpro for abap?
i managed to get columns to be editable using the tutorial "Editing ALV in Web Dynpro for ABAP".
but it is not described how to change a single row or cell in this tutorial. also the example programs i found do not get into this subject.
did i miss something?

I think you cannot set the focus to the particular cell.
I think you can loop at that row of that table and set the the cell design to apply some color to differentiate that way rather than focusing so that user can know that he has to do something in that cell.

I'm not sure what is your issue, it seems you're not really understanding how the Model structure works in WDP.
I'll assume few things here, like you know how to Import the Model into the WDP, and you know a little bit about what Java Classes will represent this Model in the Project.
Try these steps:
1. Import your Model into the Project;
2. Open your Component Modeler, create a Data Link between your Model / Component (Or Custom Controller, as you prefer)
- You can also use the "Apply Template -> Service Controler"
3. Map the Input of your Model as the Main Node, check the Input Tables (you prob. will have two, POITEM = ITEM - POITEMX = ITEMX)
4. Also, check the Return box, since this is BAPI return (You can use to display Backend messages)
Now you have the Model mapped into your Controller, you need to develop the Java function to execute it.
1. Create a new Input class, like
BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input purchaseOrderCreateInput = new BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input();
2. Bind your Input Node, in the Controller, with your Input Class;
wdContext.nodeBAPI_PO_CREATE1().bind(purchaseOrderCreateInput);
3. Set any Import parameters you need:
purchaseOrderCreateInput.setEXPPURCHASEORDER(XXXX);
4. To Add references to the Table, you will perform something like:
First, you need to know what "Structure" you need to add (POItem Structure) - You have a Java class that represents that Structure..
POITEM_Element poItemElement = new POITEM_Element();
poItemElement.setPROPERTY();   /// Set your Properties
purchaseOrderCreateInput.getPOITEM().add(poItemElement);
5. Execute your Input,
purchaseOrderCreateInput .execute();

Troubles with Windows 7 Enterprise and Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hello together,
we've installed Windows 7 Enterprise and IE 8 and are using Web Dynpro for ABAP.
Since this installation on one Client, it is not possible to use the WD application - the sites seems to be frozen!
I know the fact, that SAP will support Windows 7 in March 2010 but it would be very helpfull if someone could give me a hint to solve this problem before.

Go to internet explorer -> tools -> internet options -> Advanced
There locate the check box "Enable memory protection to help migrate online attacks" and uncheck it.
Let me know if that works.
