Multipart data posting from Mobile

I am absolutely new to Java. Have some experience with ASP.
My requirment is:
1. User grabs image from mobile camera
2. The image is either discarded or using POST, sent to a server alongwith caption.
How difficult is this using Java technology? What are the basic requirements for this. I am interested in IMode and WAP.
TIA,
Regards
Vikram

I want to know, if there is any chance to post data from a php page using curl to a java servlet and Specify the URL of the given servlet while posting the data.
how to get those data in that servlet?As usual, the servlet container will execute doGet() method of the Servlet class in case of HTTP Get request OR doPost() method in case of HTTP Post request. You can retrieve the submitted data using HttpServletRequest#getParameter() method.

  • Data transfer from mobile browsing

    When we download the data from any site its not save in main storage of the mobile phone.
    E.g.we download video in youtube downloader bt if we want to make this video in use such as to make dvd or any thing then its useless n i think windows phones are useless phones its better to purchase android phones..

    Well that's because windows phone is a closed ecosystem with a great emphasis on the security. You can go ahead & buy an android device if you wish but do remember the there are almost equal number of malicious apps as genuine apps on the Play store.
    Please mark the post as solution if it solves your problem.

  • No data returned from mobile

    Form was created using live cycle and the mobile devices (kindle & ipad) have the new version of reader.  A post here said to recreate the form in acrobat pro (putting fields on top of livecycle ones) but pro just invokes live cycle.      http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006781?start=15&tstart=60.
    form was created in live cycle, selected publish to repository; emailed that pdf; filled it out on the mobile (data is there when you close and reopen); emailed back and no data.  it is a simple form:  entry fields, drop down, check box.  free form scribbles i made with the pen on the form came back.
    objective is to provide users with a fillable form that they can fill out on mobile and email back to themselves; they will store the completed form locally.  then they combine data from the forms into an excel spreadsheet for their local use.

    I think its because of the company code.

  • Creation of a User exits FI data posted from MIGO Good receiving

    Hi all!, Will appreciate very much if you can help me. I have a situation where we dont use the std inter-co posting to trace inter-co trx . Neither do we use the SAP Consol Module. We are trying to capture the inter-co trx in SAP to be interfaced with Hyperion. Therefore we would require that VBUND filled in BSEG to be filled up for accts that are inter-co controlled . This control is done using the validation rule in FI. But the problem comes from integration from MM and SD. As the SD and MM do not have fields for VBUND when these postings post to a inter-co controlled accts the trx are not able to be posted. So was thinking if there is any way that we could assign the VBUND field thru user exits based on a logic to dervie the last 4 char from Vendor no. As our org codes all inter-co profile by the Acct grp = Interco and the last 4 char linked to SAP co. code.

    Anderton,
    I would prefer moving them to VBAK and then using it. Why?
    1. Once you have queried KNVV and moved it to VBAK you do not have to perform the select again.
    2. During SO change, you already have the data in VBAK so you do not have to fetch again from KNVV.
    3. Lets say the Z field was changed on KNVV after creation of SO and if your requirement is to use the Z field content when the SO was created, you cannot go back to KNVV since the data is changed. But if the same was stored in VBAK, you do not have that problem.
    Thanks,

  • Not able to access SOAP web service data control from adf mobile

    Hi,
    I am trying to call web services from adf mobile..
    I have created data control from external web service and it is perfectlly working on web browser..
    But why it is showing an error on emulator??
    Is there any .jar file missing in adf mobile so that it is not supporting a web service?
    Or is there any other problem? Emulator is connected to network and I am able to run WSDL in emulator's browser..
    Please help me to solve this issue..
    Thanks,
    Laxmi

    Emulator is connected to network and I am able to run WSDL in emulator's browser..
    Connecting to WSDL in the browser is not the same as connecting to WSDL in an application.
    To access a web service from an Android device enable a permission in AndroidManifest.xml that allows applications to open network sockets. Add the following uses-permission element.
    <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission>

  • Value date while posting from FRFT_B

    Hi
    When I am posting from FRFT_B (Bank to Bank transfer) value is date is displaying in this transaction(FRFT_B) but when we posted document , value date is not updating in FI document hence we are not able to see value date.
    Can some one hlpe is there is any  configuration missing.
    Regards
    Nagendra

    Hi Nagendra, the FRFT_B will check the GL account master record to transfer the value date. You need to check the account master record. From customizing > Financial Accounting>General Ledger Accounting >G/L Accounts >  Master Data >G/L Account Creation >Change G/L Accounts Individually.
    , and there check the option "relevant for cash flow.

  • Error adding Sales order via DI-SERVER Posting Date deviates from the defin

    When adding a sales order via the DI-API we have started receiving the following error:
    Error: Posting Date deviates from the defined range. To complete the operation, define the posting period to match the entered Posting Date. [(----) 131-204]
    I have verified that the posting dates within the document exist within the defined posting periods in SAP and that the posting period in question is unlocked.
    I can add the document within the SAP B1 interface without any issues.
    This process and code was also working up until the start of the new financial year.  There have been no changes to the code or the financial periods in the new year.
    There is a  peculiarity with the financial periods for this company in that they have moved from calendar periods in the past to financial periods.  Has anyone come accross any issues with posting dates and the DI SERVER API?
    The dates in the XML document that we are trying to add are shown below.
    <Documents>
    <row>
    <DocDate>20100310</DocDate>
    <DocDueDate>20100310</DocDueDate>
    <CardCode>C9999</CardCode>
    The following are the financial period values from OFPR
    Posting Date From/To:       06.03.10     02.04.10
    Due Date From/To:            01.01.10     01.04.11
    Document Date From/To:  01.01.10     02.04.10
    Start of Fiscal Year:         01.01.10
    Regards,
    Sean

    Hi Gordon,
    Our customer has moved their financial year end from 1 April / 31 March using calendar months to a 4/4/5 financial period model with a year start date from Jan.
    This was necessary after the company was purchased by a US firm that wanted to align the reporting calendars.
    Under the 4/4/5 model their financial year start date does not start 1st January. Hence the 3/1/2010 being the first date of the January period.
    No matter how the periods are setup the financial year start date in SAP Business One cannot be anything other than the 1st of the month.
    All posting within SAP appears to be working fine, it is only via the DI SERVER requests that we seem to be having problems.
    However, we suspect that the issue may be unrelated to the posting periods due to some other testing performed.
    Regards,
    Sean

  • Grabbing xml from raw data post to my webserver

    Trying to figure out how to catch xml being posted to my webserver. The client's instructions are:
    The HTTP and HTTPS delivery method performs a text/plain mime binary data post to the supplier's webserver. Suppliers must develop a catch web page. This page will receive the binary post.
    This is an xml document that I must capture and write to disk. I'm intending to use a java servlet to grab this data but java is new to me. It looks like HttpServletRequest is what I'm looking for. Anyone with any pointers?
    thanks,
    destin

    Okay, I've got some coding off a site that looks like it will do what I want. It's quite a robust applications which will do more than I need but as long as it does at least what I want, i could care less. As it will extract files from the datastream for me, it is going to save them to disk.
    I believe I have to specify a directory to save it to. I believe this is the line I'm going to modify, so assuming that's the case, how do I specify a directory here:
    private File fileOutPutDirectory = null;
    Do I have to use absolute paths or can I use relative. Also, what directory construct is expected by java? Anyone with an example of what urls are supposed to look like in this case?
    Thanks,
    destin

    I have an imac 24 , imac 27, mac book pro, airbook and Iphone 3G.  I have switched to icloud from mobile and all the computers synch with each other but data entered from my iphone in ical won't sync to the other computers.
    Is there a setting on the iphone that will allow ical entries on the iphone to sink to my other computers
    Thank-you

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Capturing xml data returned from a url post in a jsp page

    Hi,
    We are writing a interface which will capture data returned from an other website. The data returned will be in XML form.
    http://www.ecrm.staging.twii.net/ecrmfeed/ecrmfeedservices.sps?eCRMFeedInputXml=<twii><ecrmfeedinput><data%20method="Login"><username>[email protected]</username><password>password</password></data></ecrmfeedinput></twii>
    When the above url is executed in a browser, it required NT authentication. The username and password is getcouponed. Once the username and password is fed, we can see the output in the form of a xml. We require the xml in a String variable in a jsp page. We need to know the steps on how to execute the url in a jsp page. We used the url object to do the same, but we get a error saying "java.net.UnknownHostException: www.ecrm.staging.twii.net".
    Can anyone help?
    Regards,
    Gopinath.

    Hi,
    I would like to know if I can use the java.net package to get anything out of a website which requires authentication. In this case NT authentication.
    Thanks in advance,

    Download this
    https://itunes.apple.com/gr/app/xcalendar-lite-export-import/id556510747?mt=8
    To backup your Cal before you try to merge .me and .iCloud calendars.
    I don't know if the .me account settings works like iCloud. In iCloud you can turn off the Calendar from settings by keeping the event in the iPhone's  local account. Then you can turn ON calendar in iCloud settings and you will prompted to merge them.

  • Http post from an application with file attachment

    Hi ! I didn't know where else to post this message...
    I'm trying to make a HTTP POST from an application and upload a file with it. I have no problems with the posting, just that I haven't got any ideas how to get the file uploaded as well. I've been reading loads of examples regarding the topic, and searching older posts the forum here, without any help.
    Here's the method i'm using:
                   // open connections
                  URL url = new URL ("TheURL");
                   URLConnection urlConn = url.openConnection();
                              // We do input & output, without caching
                   urlConn.setDoInput (true);
                   urlConn.setDoOutput (true);
                   urlConn.setUseCaches (false);
                              // multipart/form-data because we want to upload a file
                     urlConn.setRequestProperty ("Content-Type", "multipart/form-data");
                  // Open output stream
                     DataOutputStream printout = new DataOutputStream (urlConn.getOutputStream ());
                  // Set the actual content
                     String content = "upfile=" + System.getProperty("user.dir") + "\\file.ext&";
                       content += "other_key-value_pairs";
                  // write the data to stream, and flush it.
                     printout.writeBytes (URLEncoder.encode(content));
                   printout.flush ();
                   printout.close ();
                   // Get the response.
                     DataInputStream input = new DataInputStream (urlConn.getInputStream());
                   FileOutputStream fos=new FileOutputStream("postto.txt");
                   String str;
                     BufferedReader bufr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(input));
                  // Write response to outputfile
                     while (null != ((str = bufr.readLine()))) {
                         if (str.length() >0) {
                         fos.write(str.getBytes());
                         fos.write(new String("\n").getBytes());
                   input.close ();Now, the response here I get from the url i'm posting to is "Failure, no data-file". I've tried many diff methods of writing the file to the stream, but always get the same result.
    I need to file attached like it would be when using a HTML form's <input type="file">.
    Please help ! This is getting really urgent !

    String content = "upfile=" + System.getProperty("user.dir") + "\\file.ext&";
    content += "other_key-value_pairs";
    printout.writeBytes (URLEncoder.encode(content));
    printout.flush ();
    printout.close ();Actually, what this does is create a request like:
    GET /path/to/file/script.language?upfile=/home/user/file.ext&other=params HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: multipart/form-data
    -- And other HTTP params --
    The file is not actually appended to the request.
    I really don't know how Java handles the file upload, but you could do it by hand, like so:
    public static void doFileUpload(String url, String filename, Hashtable params) throws IOException {
        // Construct the request
        String boundary = "----------------------mUlTiPaRtBoUnDaRy";
        String request_head = "POST " + url + " HTTP/1.0\r\n" +
                                         "Content-type: multipart/form-data; boundary=" + boundary + "\r\n";
        String request_body = boundary + "\r\n\r\nContent-disposition: form-data; name=\"upload\"" +
                                         "\r\n\r\n";
        BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(new FileInputStream(filename)));
        int b = -1;
        while((b = in.read()) != -1) {
             request_body += (char)b;
        in.close();
        Enumeration keys = params.keys();
        while(keys.hasMoreElements()) {
            String key = keys.nextElement();
            requst_body += "\r\n" + boundary + "\r\n\r\nContent-type: form-data; name=\"key\"\r\n" +
                                    (String)params.get(key);
        request_body += "\r\n" + boundary + "--\r\n";
        int length = request_head.length() + request_body.length() + "Content-length: \r\n";
        String req_length = "Content-length: " + (length + new String("" + length).length()) + "\r\n";
        Socket socket = new Socket(url,80);
        PrintStream stream = socket.getOutputStream();
        stream.print(request_head + req_length + req_body);
        // And now an option to read the response, I will omit that...
    }Note: I have not tested this code, just wrote it up out of memory. If it does not work, it will propably need some small fixes.

  • JEditorPane can't handle POST from HTML form?

    I posted this before but i never got an answer so i'll try again :-)
    Im running a tomcat server were i have a jsp script that uploads files to the server. What i need to do to is to use a regular java application for the rest of the "project" im working on.
    And i can get the JSP page to be displayed properly using JEditorPane but i cant get the html FORM POST in the JSP to execute... i dont know if theres some limits in JEditorPane or if im just using the wrong type of approach on this one.
    This is the server
    http://chilly-schrimp.kicks-ass.org/uploadbean/SimpleUpload.jsp
    (only works if my computer is turned on)
    Heres the code:
    =======================================================================
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.swing.event.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class JSPtest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    JEditorPane pane = null;
    try {
    pane = new JEditorPane("http://chilly-schrimp.kicks-ass.org/uploadbean/SimpleUpload.jsp");
    catch (IOException ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace(System.err);
    System.exit(1);
    pane.setEditable(false);
    // Add a hyperlink listener.
    final JEditorPane finalPane = pane;
    pane.addHyperlinkListener(new HyperlinkListener() {
    public void hyperlinkUpdate(HyperlinkEvent ev) {
    try {
    if (ev.getEventType() == HyperlinkEvent.EventType.ACTIVATED)
    finalPane.setPage(ev.getURL());
    } catch (IOException ex) { ex.printStackTrace(System.err); }
    JFrame frame = new JFrame();
    frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
    frame.setContentPane(new JScrollPane(finalPane));
    frame.setSize(350,400);
    frame.setVisible(true);

    any suggestions??
    thanx

    I am using request.getParameter(passed variable name)
    to pass data from HTML form to JSP with no problem.
    WHen I try to pass data from HTML form of
    multipart/form-dta type to JSP as following:
    < form enctype="multipart/form-data" name="theForm"
    method="post"
    ACTION="http://titan.ssd.loral.com:7778/ifs/jsp-bin/if
    -cts/stringsecond.jsp">
    The passed value is null. Why?because the jsp most likely does not handling of POST parameters like this.
    How can I pass data successfully from this form to
    JSP?jsp's are not meant to read such amounts of data. this (= uploading) is a typical task for a specialized servlet. there you have full control over input and output. if you need to, you can still forward to a jsp after processing in the servlet.
    How can I pass data from JavaScript to JSP???? i'm not sure what exactly you mean. normally you put it into an url and submit it.
