Multiple audio files on a single PDF page ?

Hi
I have an interactive pdf with 10 audio clips on a page
and ten buttons each button has ten actions - 1 action to play a specific audio clip and 9 actions to stop all others.
The thing is when I first load up this page and click on any of the buttons every single audio clip triggers! Please tell me there is a way around this problem?!
Thanks
JB

You're making it too complicated. I just tested the following with three clips, it should work also with ten.
Make ten buttons to play the 10 clips. Each has only one action: Sound > Play (name of clip)
Make one button to stop the music (I called it "Stop the Music"). It has 10 actions. Each of them is Sound > Stop (clip1), Sound > Stop (clip2), etc.

  • Icon size for audio file insert on a PDF page.

    Acrobate X V10.1.9 Windows 7.
I wish to insert an audio file on a pdf page. I select "multimedia", "sound". Get the window to select the file. Once selected I then find that I cannot size the icon that appears on the page (click to play). The two fields are grayed out. If I click "OK" it results in a very large "click to play" icon. I cannot resize the icon on the page..
Does this function require C++? Have been getting an error message on PC startup about something being in error. I click OK and all seems to be working ok.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Joe

You can crop it, but the size will not change to letter. However, after cropping, you can print with expand to fit page selected. If you like you can expand this to a new PDF using print, though not generally the recommended approach. Do you have any idea how it was reduced in the first place? If so, have you tried the reverse process?

  • How do i add multiple Audio files into an Interactive PDF

I am making a band EPK (Electronic Press Kit) and one one page there are 3 songs the band wants to put in a play and stop feature so the client can hear the music. I have not been able to get the audio files to export in the document in either MP3 or WAV format. Please help.

    Not really,
but I am happy to report that I found the solution:
AVOID Logic's "Audio>Import Audio File..." window, if you need to import 54 tracks.
Make sure you have enough Audio Tracks available in Logic's arrange window.
Select Audio Track 1 in Logic.
Highlight (select all) tracks) from your source DVD or disk.
Drag all of them to Audio track 1 in Logic and the position you determined in transport.
    Beautiful.
Why don't we get this within the Logic application?
    Thanks everyone.

  • Loading multiple audio files into a single frame

What I'm trying to do is just have a song loop continuously
in a stopped frame (which is easy enough), but the song I want to
use has 12 seconds of intro before the loop begins. The only way I
can think of to do this is to split the intro and loop into two
different files, then have it load the intro, play it once, then
once the intro finishes load the loop file and play it. Unless
there's some way I can have the file loop but specify that it
should start over at 00:12 each time instead of 00:00. Is there any
way I can do this without just having 12 seconds of frames playing
the intro and then a stopped frame with the loop?
By the way, I'm using AS2 for this project.

Thanks for the help. I wasn't even aware that the
onSoundComplete method existed, though, so I have no idea what the
syntax would be. How would I go about writing the code? I already
have the audio file attached to a sound object so that I could fade
it at the end. Basically the audio file loops until the user
presses a key, at which point the timeline progresses to the next
frame and the loop fades out. The file is exported for ActionScript
with the identifier "Prelude." The code I'm using for the audio
    file is attached below.

  • Help adding multiple HTML5 audio files to a single web page

    Hello!
I'm designing a site in Adobe muse for a composer. I've been able to get a single audio clip to play in all browsers, however, when I try to add a second clip to the same page I run into a problem. The second clip won't play in Chrome unless I click on the first clip.
I would really appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks!

Hi MacUser 123,  I'm just a amateur-hacker but I do have some experience with audio and video  players and HTML 5.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think  allowing the browser to  supply an audio player has its limitations.  I would guess that it would not allow you to have multiple players on one page,  I'm not surprised by this.  Also one of the biggest problems with audio and video players is that each browser type is different, and requires different file types.  You have the right idea in your source code by using mpegs, oggs and MP3s.
In my experience I have found with audio,  that it's best to have a "player"  embedded in the webpage.  I have had success over the years with players sometimes known as jukeboxes.  There are quite of few players available out there from companies like Allweb,  Pickle Player, etc., there's a whole bunch of them. I think you might want to do a search and come up with something  that you think will work for you. It can get very complicated;  you're going to have to deal with CSS,  cascading style sheets,  and some code situations.
I'm not sure if there are any quick fast fixes.  I  like "Pickle Player,"  but it's shaky, as a lot of this software is. I wish I could be more positive, but I have found it's just a long journey full of hit and miss, trial and error.
If you think audio players are problematic, wait to you get to video players -  I've spent months trying to get those things working.
The experts are either way to sophisticated in their knowledge-base for me,  or they are so inexperienced  that they are no help at all.
Good luck,  you're going to need it,  if I can be of any further help let me know.
Maybe someone out there has some better ideas for you,  but that's about it for me,  that's the limitation of my experience  and knowledge.

  • Hiding filenames when combining multiple files into a single .pdf

I'm fairly new to this Acrobat X. I'm trying to assemble my portfolio to distribute to employers but I cannot seem to get rid/hide the filenames in the final pdf file. I was using the option to 'combine multiple files into a single pdf' because I was compiling images and documents to a single readable pdf file. I got all that done but once I open it, I'd see that each page would still contain the original file names rather than page numbers - which I prefer not to have employers see for the sake of tidiness (and I refuse to use the Adobe portfolio because it's not really efficient on space or design. I prefer a simple page-by-page pdf). So I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to hide my file names, change them into page numbers or getting rid of them all together so the 'Table of Contents' in the pdf preview mode would not show anything, I would really much appreciate it.
    -Ss

Well, when the .pdf is in the final, deliverable form; I open it in Mac preview mode and the sidebar is always extended showing a 'table of contents' rather than having each document in the pdf file have a number designating a page name, it shows each individual filename the pdf is composed of. Not too sure about bookmark, though. Thanks for the reply!
If you want, I can send the file to you.

  • Combining multiple files into a single PDF/A

The issue brought up in another discussion is the loss of PDF/A conformity when “merging” multiple PDF/A files into a single file (I use PDF/A for preservation of corporate records). The “insert” option retains conformity but does not allow inserting multiple files in a certain order, unless you insert them one by one (which is a pain when you have 50 files to attach).
The solutions I’ve come up with so far:
    1)     1)  In AAPro – combine files into a single PDF and then convert it to PDF/A using Preflight. This is easy, my only problem is that I don’t have AAPro (and AAStandard doesn’t convert to PDF/A).
    2)     2)  In AAStandard – combine files into a single PDF and then “print” to PDF/A. The problem of this “re-frying” is that it only creates PDF/A-1b (not 1a), bookmarks and OCR of scanned pages are lost, and files become significantly larger.
I wonder if anyone knows a more intelligent way around this problem, provided that I only have AAStandard. Thanks!

  • How do i combine multiple pdf file into a single pdf file?

how do i combine multiple pdf files into a single pdf file?

The thread was started in early March and it's Mid-April, I know this very well. The OP of this thread posted a very common and simple question or maybe he/she would have resolved this. For an Adobe Acrobat user it's not at all difficult to combine multiple PDF files into one. But to combine PDF files full version of Adobe Acrobat is mainly required, otherwise PDF files can't be combined. For example, I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. These simple steps are mainly required to combine PDF files:
    Open Adobe Acrobat.
Click on Combine and click on Merge files into a single PDF.
A window will be appearing, click on Add Files and select the PDF files you want to combine.
Arrange the selected files in any order with the help of Move Up and Move Down button.
Now click on Combine File and the selected PDF files will be combined within a few seconds.
A new PDF file will be created. Click on Save As and name this new PDF file. Then, click on Save.
A new PDF file will be created and all the selected PDF files are combined in it. The steps shown above might be different in other versions of Adobe Acrobat. Other than this, some third-party PDF merge software are also available. Most of them are available with a demo version for free evaluation. I've heard much about SysInfoTools PDF Merge software on other forums and directories and it's demo version is freely available. One may check its demo version if Adobe Acrobat (full version) is not available.

  • Acrobat Pro 9: "Merge files into a single pdf" creates blank pages

I have a similar problem as a previous post (which hasn't been answered).
I am able to pdf individual Word documents fine, but when I try to Combine > Merge files into a single pdf, the resulting pdf pages are all blank. I don't receive any error messages or have problems saving the file.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (9.5.1) on Windows 7.
The merging of pdf's hasn't worked at all since I installed the program.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Bill
Thanks so very much - you have solved the problem.
I tried Document > Insert Pages and that worked.
I then ran the "Repair" feature on Adobe which installed a few updates and I am now also able to merge pdf's by using the "Combine" feature and all the pages show the text/info.
Thanks again for your help, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you also to Apoorv for your assistance.

  • Acrobat XI PRO: Create a Table of Contents (TOC) automatically in top, after I have combined several pdf.files into a single pdf.file

    Hey
I have now tried for hours, but now I give up!
    MY WISH -
Create a Table of Contents (TOC) automatically after I have combined several pdf.files into a single pdf.file.
I have already bookmarks, shown on the screen (see screenshot below) but I want those bookmark to be visualised in a separate TOC in the top of the combined files.
This new TOC (which I have inserted) shall be printable and serve as a cover page in a binder.
I have seen other cheap pdf.programs in the market (e.g. PDF Converter Professional 7.3) which are able to make the above things, easy, fast and nice.

  • Password required to merge files into a single PDF - why?

I use a registered copy of Acrobat Professional version 8 on my desktop
I routinely download official Adobe upgrades when prompted
I have attempted twice this morning to merge multiple files (in one case two PDF's, in the second a PDF + a JPEG file) into a single PDF.
I do this frequently to manage documents (I'm responsible for maintaining the company's technical file) more efficiently.
Now Acrobat is asking me for a password if I want to merge the documents into a single PDF but none of the documents involved have passwords!
Alternatively I am allowed to combine multiple files into what is called a "PDF Package" without using a password.
I much prefer using the single PDF document option
Why am I being prompted to provide a password when one does not exist - I created the original PDF's in the first place!
Please advise how I can solve this very annoying problem

If I use either of the create or combine file functions at the point in the process where the files have been added and a summary of the files is presented, above the summary, two options are offered.
The first one I am used to - it says merge the files into a single PDF
The second option is to merge the files into what is called a "PDF Package"
I want to use the first option but a warning sign is also present at this stage, informing me that I need a password to use the first option.
If I use the second option I don't need the password.
This change has only appeared today - I am assuming as the result of downloading and installing an official Adobe update - nothing else has changed.
    Hope this info helps
I am running on Windows XP
Thanks for any advice you can offer

  • Combining FDF files into a single PDF

Problem: I have 9 FDF files that were generated using a python script from within a database. The all refer to a common template PDF form. When I open each file the data is correct for each one. I need to be able to combine the 9 files into a single PDF document (9 pages long). This isn’t a onetime task, so the process needs to be easily repeatable.
Ii tried opening each FDF then saving them as PDF’s, the ODF’s all look correct, each files containing the appropriate data. This issue with this is once combined all 9 pages reflect the data from sheet #1. It’s as if I’ve just pulled in sheet #1 9 times.
I’m very new to the FDF format and am a little confused as to why this is happening.
Any help would be very much appreciated
    Jon

This is correct, and working as designed.
If you use the same field name on two pages, they are the same field.
So, if you combine two documents with the same field name, they are the same field, and will have the same contents.
This is a key reason why PDF portfolios were invented.

  • Multiple Audio files on one slide

    Hello,
I want to have multiple audio files in a table on a single slide.
Also, these audio files should play when I click on that particular file (which will be placed in a cell in the table)
    How do I do this?
I see an option with "Play sound on click" but it plays when I click anywhere.
This doesn't give me the ability to place multiple files and thus be able to play them as needed.
    Thanks.

nope, Keynote doesn't have "triggers" though I figure this has to be on Apple's radar as it's been brought up every time a new version comes out.
I suppose one work around would be to make a slide for each sound, and have the sound play when you go to that slide. Then make your table a series of buttons that go to each "sound slide" (you can make link buttons, just not triggers). It would give you the effect of clicking to play the sound, it's just that instead, Keynote would be jumping to a slide and playing a sound. All the slides would LOOK the same, and you wouldn't use transitions between them. The effect would get you what you want, it just takes longer to build.
