Multiple columns in migrating MS Access

Migration workbench Access 97 -> Oracle 8.1.6
During capture of source data, multiple columns are generated for each table. In fact, columns of one table are duplicated on all others tables ==> building of Oracle model hangs for violation of unique constraint.
Thanks for your help to fix it.

DatabaseMetadata.getColumns() if you want to get the data on some table in the DB
or
ResultSetMetaData.getColumnCount() and ResultSetMetaData.getColumnName() if you want to get the data on a result returned from some query.

    If I select Show items from all sites in this site collection or Show items from the following site and all subsites as Query source all my custom columns are with out value, if I select Show items from the following list every thing is as it should be.

    may i know how many items that you have that CQWP filter for?
    because as i remember there should be a limitation on the items number.

    you can try to upsize the threshold but it will affect your environment's performance.

    Text goes to border of container, and I've run out of ideas on margins and padding options on not only the .newspaper <style> but using its container, LayOutDiv1. All appears good in "Live" view, text easily readable, but Safari, FireFox, Opera ignores css. When viewed with padding/margins input, it just shifts the div to right, outside grid.
    Indent first line in paragraph works well, wrapping image properly, and column flow smooth.
    Set padding in p,h2, h3 at 10px but no results visable. (Retset to "0" padding.)
    On laptop PC…can't seem to access live testing URL so unsure of IE 10 operational functionality.

    Base problem is that the borders on outside of layoutDiv1 (or the column itself) continues to be pusher right, thus misaligning outside borders of three seperate divs; header, menu, and LayoutDiv1.
    Am i missing something in how to contain without borders (full width) being overrun. Or, maybe improper insertion of padding rules?

  • Sorting a Collection with dynamic columns using a custom compare function for multiple columns

    I need help and ideas on how to sort a ListCollectionView.  My problem is complicated by 3 requirements-
         1. The column values contain HTML tags that needs to be removed before sorting (use custom compareFunction to strip HTML)
         2. The columns are dynamic, so dataField names are not known at compile time (need a single compareFunction for all columns)
         3. The data is used in an AdvancedDataGrid so multi-column sorting is required
    I have figured out how to solve any 2 of the 3 requirements.  However, I am having difficulties supporting all 3 requirements.
    Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    After playing with this some more I think I've figured out a solution.  This seems to work in initial testing.  Also, there is not a need to capture the current sort column in the headerRelease event which many offered solutions suggested.  Another benefit to this solution is that keyboard initiated sorting is handled also.  Whereas the headerRelease event is only triggered by a mouse click on the column header and special handling is required if the user uses the keyboard to access the column header.
    One point that I don't understand is how ascending/decending order is determined.  Behavior seems to be different between a single SortField versus multiple SortFields.  Notice how the compareResults are handled for the different situations.  Anyone out there know why???

  • Migration MS ACCESS to Oracle ApEX

    Hi All,
    We have just started with migration MS ACCESS 2000 based application to Oracle Database(10...),front end being ApEX 3.0 now.
    After first migration of application today i noticed that All Queries(129 total) are invalid.Analysys shows that Query coming to Oracle is similar to that in MS ACCESS and no views have been created e.g.:
    MS ACCESS query:
    SELECT [ClientPricing_History].[ClientID], [Client List].[ClientAbbrev], Last([ClientPricing_History].[EffectiveStart]) AS LastOfEffectiveStart, Last([ClientPricing_History].[EffectiveEnd]) AS LastOfEffectiveEnd

    The same query comes in Oracle,as we know that symbols like '[' or ']' are not supported by Oracle.
    Secondly no views have been created and thridly many MS ACCES funciton like 'LAST()' are not supported in Oracle.
    Can some one Give the initial inputs that how to correct them automatically rhater thna taking Manual steps to correct each of the 129 queris manually.?

  • OLE object Migration from Access to Oracle through SQL developer

    Hello,
    I used sql developer 3.1.07(oracle 11g) to perform data migration from MS ACESS.
    the MS access data has a column with data type as "OLE object" ---there
    saved a lot of pdf files .
    Then I performed "copy to oracle" from MS access connection, the OLE data
    changed to BLOB from oracle database, and data seems to be copied to
    database as binary . However none of the data in the column can be opened. I
    download the blob data to a file from sql developer and tried to open
    using Adobe 8.1 with no success.
    How can I fix this issue? or I should say, how can I migrate MS access OLE data to oracle?

    I have a query

    Will this condition Checking for multiple columns in the IN work ?
    I actually mispelled a column name ( say colb ) in the sub query but it did not give a error, but executed fine by matching part of the columns alone?

    I created this anonymous Pl/SQL function at a application level ..Then I followed up to create a select list with a function inside. However I could not create select list with the command suggested in the demo which is

    APEX (2.1) returns a error message. What am I missing ? Should the function be called from somewhere else after creating a regular select list..? Where the functions (Pl/SQL) should be ideally stored for application level access..? and for across application level access ? How can I check the function works good. Help is appreciated.

  • Converting multiple columns into one.

    All,
    I have a requirement to convert multiple columns into one. Following is the pseudo code of current implementation. It unions the various columns ( col1, col2........) into a new column new_col. But perforamnce is extrmely slow owing to multiple unions. It may be noted that tables and where conditions of all these queries are same.
    Can you help me create a more efficient query?
    select col1 , col2, col3, col4 from my_tables where some_cols = my_condition;Below is the query used to convert these columns into one.

    Without looking at those things you could be barking up the wrong tree by assuming the issue relates to the unioning of queries or other such things.Well, might be.........
    Execution time of this query (just the execution time not the retrival) is around 34 seconds with connect-by clause for returning 22,000 records.

  • Comparison of multiple column values with a single column value

    I have two separate tables say Tab1 and Tab2
    I want to select some datas , which is common to both the tables.
    In tab1 , there is a column 'STATE' and it's value is 'A'
    In tab2, there are multiple columns for the state, say STATE_A,STATE_B, STATE_C ETC and a row is present with the following details
    STATE_A = 1, STATE_B =1 ,STATE_C =0,STATE_D=1
    I need to select STATE when STATE_A ='1',
    if my STATE='B', this STATE has to be selected since STATE_B =' 1', similraly
    if my STATE='D', this STATE has to be selected since STATE_D =' 1',
    If my STATE='C', STATE_C should not get selected since it's '0'.
    Is it possible to do this in a single SELECT statement, where I have some other checks also or else how can I achieve it?

  • Migration MS ACCESS FORMS and Reports to Oracle (Java or Forms or Reports)

    can someone tell me, how i can migrate a whole MS ACCESS 2000 mdb (with forms and Reports) to Oracle.
    I think i have first migrate the Access DB with the OMWB to Oracle and in the next Step to convert the VBA Code to JAVA or Forms9i.
    BUT Is there a tool available for Migrating VBA code like the OMWB ????

    I don't know if this is an obvious question, but do you have MS Access 2k installed on the machine you are trying to run this from? I'm assuming yes.
    If you do and there is still a problem, you should log a ticket for support who will take your mdb and help out with the issue for you.

    Hello, did you search online? there are many tutorials like this one: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photoshop-text/text-effects/text-wrap/
    You simply create a path, substract the parts you do not need, then click with the text tool inside.
    Note that it is not a dynamic text wrap, you need to change it if you move the objects around.

  • How to link Excel Chart with multiple columns dynamically?

    Hi all,
    I have one problem. I have an excel chart which has to read data from multiple columns for it's X-axis values (time stamps) and the same number of values for it's Y-axis from multiple columns. See figure attached.
    Now, you can do this by manually assigning values by holding control key to tell the chart that data from many columns is continued from the first column. i.e, a long data is distributed along may columns. This is done very easily manually.
    Now, how to do it at runtime through LabVIEW 8.0?
    Although, I have done it through labview when there where only two columns, A and B streching up to any length. But, now to save space we are dumping into many columns in the same page and want the chart plot that data as we dump it. 
    It is tough since I don't know how to assign SourceData of the chart through labview.
