Multiple .jar in libary directory

Hi.
My application is using more and more libraries that are packed as jars. Is there anyway to include all jar files in applications /lib when executing the program whit out that every jar must be declared in the classpath...

You can use a jar manifest to specify the additional jars you need as part of the classpath. Here's an example manifest:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Class-Path: myjar-1.jar myjar-2.jar
Main-Class: MyMain
The 'Main-Class' attribute above is optional but useful; it allows you to run your application by specifying only a jar file name (i.e., you don't have to include the name of the class that contains the main() method on the command line):
java -jar myjar.jar
Look for 'jar' on the tool documentation at http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/index.html#basic
to see how to use the manifest file with the jar command. Details on the manifest file format are available at http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/jar/jar.html#JAR%20Manifest.

  • Including multiple jar files to applet

    In one of my application I am using severla third party apis (JavaHelp, JFreeReport, NanoXml ...) which comes as a seperate jar file each.
    Is there is a way that I can include these multiple jar files to be downloaded automaticaly when the applet is starting.
    currently I am extracting all the jar files and then re compressing them in to one file and place it in the archive property in the applet tab.
    Is there a way I can avoid extraction and recompression and directly use the jar files

    <param nama="archive" value="myjar.jar, myOtherjar.jar" />
    You could try to create an installer that wil put the 3rd party jars in the users lib/ext directory.

  • How to configure multiple domains in Active directory

    HI,
    How can I configure multiple domains on Active Directory. When I installed AD it asked for a domain name, there I gave ravigupta.com as domain name. But now I find no way of creating another domain.
    I am a java developer and my task is to write a programme which returns all the domains available in LDAP server.
    To start with ,I tried to create few domains in LDAP server ( AD ) but stuck up ,as i found there could exist only one domain.
    Please tell me how to configure multiple domains in LDAP server ( Active Directory).
    I skiped DNS configuration while AD installation.

    I'm sorry, but you should be asking on a different forum. This has nothing to do with Java.

  • Multiple-jar applet question

    Here's a basic question that none of the examples seem to address. If my applet is comprised of multiple jars (some dynamically loaded based on system configuration), do they all have to be signed, or does just the jar file containing the applet entry point need to be signed?
    Conversely, could it be that only the jar files that contain code that wants to write files to the local file system need to be signed, or does everything need to be signed?

    Conversely, could it be that only the jar files that contain code that wants to write files to
    the local file system need to be signedThe Stack needs to be "trusted" code. If an unsigned applet "not trusted" calls a method
    of the signed applet it should not be allowed to do "trusted" things.
    One example is when you call a public method of the applet from javascript. There is a
    sollution other that signing all.

  • How do I print multiple reports to a directory at the same time

    I'm trying to print a list of monthly reports to a directory by using the code below. The first part of the code runs a query to select Business Units that will receive the reports. The idea is to cycle through this list and print one report for each
    Business Unit.  These vary from month to month. I create a record set from that query.  Where I'm getting stuck is in trying to pass the Business unit selected in the first query to the query that runs the final report. I end up getting multiple
    reports with different titles but the content is the same, so I'm doing something incorrect.  Here is the code.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. QryNewMOR runs the report.
    Private Sub Cmd012815_Click()
        Dim qdf As DAO.QueryDef
        Dim strSQL As String

        stDocName = "RptNewMOR"
        strSQL = "SELECT [Business Unit Long],[Responsible Executive] FROM tblRespExec WHERE (((tblRespExec.SelectedPrint)=True));"
        Set rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset(strSQL)
        If rs.RecordCount < 1 Then
            MsgBox "No Bus lines or Execs selected", vbCritical, "Error"
            Exit Sub
        End If
       'CreateFolder "C:\Test MOR"
        'store the current SQL
        Set qdf = CurrentDb.QueryDefs("QryNewMOR")
        strSavedSQL = qdf.SQL
        qdf.Close
        Set qdf = Nothing
    Do
        strBus = rs![Business Unit Long]
        strExec = rs![Responsible Executive]
        Set qdf = CurrentDb.QueryDefs("QryNewMOR")
       strSQL = strSQL + Left(strSavedSQL, InStr(strSavedSQL, ";") - 1) & " and (qryNewMOR.[Draft Distribution List]=" & rs![Responsible Executive] & ");"
        strSQL = strSavedSQL
        qdf.SQL = strSQL
        Debug.Print strSQL
        qdf.Close
        Set qdf = Nothing
        strPathName = "C:\Test MOR\" & rs![Business Unit Long] & ".pdf"
        DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, stDocName, acFormatPDF, strPathName
        rs.MoveNext
    Loop Until rs.EOF
    rs.Close
    Set rs = Nothing
    'restore the SQL
    Set qdf = CurrentDb.QueryDefs("QryNewMOR")
    qdf.SQL = strSavedSQL
    qdf.Close
    Set qdf = Nothing
    End Sub
    Dean J. Waring

    I'm trying to figure out how to combine the two and am obviously not succeeding. Do you have a suggestion on how to make that work?
    Hi Dean,
    I am not completely sure of what you want. I suppose you want to modify the SQL definition of QryNewMOR, and use that modified query for the report?
    In that case, and in the line of your program, I would make a QueryDef: QryStdMOR, with the "standard" strSavedSQL (so: strSavedSQL =  QryStdMOR), construct strSQL in the same way, and assign this to the SQL definition of QryNewMOR.
    Thus, in your code at the very beginning, skip the line strSQL = strSavedSQL.
    strSQL = Left(strSavedSQL, InStr(strSavedSQL, ";") - 1) & " and (qryNewMOR.[Draft Distribution List]=""" & rs![Responsible Executive] & """);"
    ' skip this line: strSQL = strSavedSQL
    qdf.SQL = strSQL
    Within the loop you should not start with strSQL = strSQL & ...., because strSQL will retain then its value from the previous loop, and increases and increases...
    Finally, I have added some double doublequotes around rs![Resposible Executive], because string expressions must be enclosed by double doublequotes (or eventually a single singlequote).
    Imb.
     strSQL = strSQL + Left(strSavedSQL, InStr(strSavedSQL, ";") - 1) & " and (qryNewMOR.[Draft Distribution List]=" & rs![Responsible Executive] & ");"
        strSQL = strSavedSQL
        qdf.SQL = strSQL

  • URGENT ! Forms (jar file vs directory and classes)

    Hi,
    Our java developper has made an applet that we have to integrate with Forms.
    I said that I need a jar file that I will put in the forms90/java directory.
    The java developper want's to deploy instead of a jar file the whole directory and sub directory and all classes under the forms90/java.
    My question is, are both deployement giving the same result in term of performance on the client side when downloading the classes or the jar file.
    I always tought that jar file was better in performance.
    What is the best way to deploy our applet?
    Thanks for quick answer.
    Jean-Yves

    If you choose jar file client JVM will probably cache your jar. This will increase speed of application loading.
    Another benefit is that when you use jar file there is lazy/on demand loading option available (in my experience on demand loading doesn't work out of the box - jar file and all referenced jar files must be indexed). In other words: users that don't use forms that use your applet will not download that jar file (I have used this for FormsGraph example and some custom java application) and they don't have to download all of the jars your jar file references.

  • Multiple files in different directory using single FILE adaptor

    Hi Guys,
    How can we handle multiple files having different format(PDF,TXT,EXCEL) and in different directory with the single FILE adaptor.
    I know by using "." we ca get mutilple files, but here tthe files are of different format and in different directory.
    Could you please explain as to how we can handle this scenarios?
    Thanks
    Sahil

    Hi,
    The short answer is - "No".
    The Long Question - "Why do you want to use a SINGLE channel".
    If your idea is to reuse the interface then dont worry... Except for the Senderchannel and Sender agreement all your other objects can be reused ...provided your sender apter converts the different files into the same XML format..
    For TXT you can use the simple file adpater..
    For excel see if you can use save the file as .CSV format...then you can use it directlky by the simple FIle adapter..
    For PDF use conversion agent... Here a blog to get u started on that ->

    Are you talking about entries that have been renamed because of a Replication Naming conflict (like the entry was added on 2 masters at the same time) ?
    If so, please check the Administration Guide, Replication section.
    <http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-0995/6n3cq3av8?a=view#gdquf>
    If you were talking about something else, please be more explicit. Directory Server does not allow you to create multiple entries with the same name. DNs are unique.

  • FTP Adapter to read multiple files from a directory. Not through polling.

    Dear Friends,
    I would like to know is it possible to configure the FTP adapter in Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.4 to read multiple files (different names, same structure) from a given directory. I do not want the BPEL to do a polling. Instead when I submit the BPEL process it should read all files from the directory.
    I was looking at the option of Synchronous read but I am not able to specify wild card in the file name field. I do not know the file names at the time of reading.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
    While you read the file, you can configure an adapter property in 'Receive'. This will store the filename, this filename can be used for sync read as the input parameter.
    1. Create a message type variable called 'fileheader'. This should be of type Inboundheader_msg (whatever relevant Receive activity).
    2. This variable will contain three parts - filename, FTPhost, FTPPort
    3. Copy this fileheader to 'Syncheader'.
    4. syncheader can be passed as an adapter proerty during sync read of the file.
    During Receive and Invoke, you need to navigate to 'Adapter' tab to choose the created message type variable.
    Let me know if you have further questions.
    regards,
    Rev

  • Could not find Main Class while running JAR   outside /dist directory

    Hello
    I can make jar on netbeans by clicking Shift+F11. But the problem occurs when I copy paste my jar file out of /dist directory. It only works at /dist directory. I think my way making jar is incorrect. Anyone knows a way to make runnable jar by NetBeans instead of Shift + F11

    use as the following way to resolve the problem:
    (1) use separate lines, to avoid too long a line for java package name lists
    (2) type a preceding space before each folloing lines, for example:

    ...jar ..jar

  • Packaging multiple jars in one jar file.

    Hi I have an application that is packaged into a jar, but I have a library I would like to pack with it, so that my jar-file contains the other jar inside. I thought using Java indexing (jar -i) would work, but it didn't for me.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    I extract 3rd party JARs and then include them in my JAR as follows:
    jar  xf  jakarta-oro-2.0.5.jar
    jar  xf jasperreports-1.2.1.jar
    jar  xf  iReport.jar
    jar cmf  mainClass Spec  Remote.jar  *.class  org/  net/  it/The extraction of jakarta... produces the org/ path, jasperreports... produces the net/ path and iReport ... produces the it/ path. All are in my working directory as are my *.class files. I hope this is the answer you need.

  • Loading all images from Jar include the directory structure.

    Hi I would like to puts all my images in a Jar. is it going to improve the loading speed?
    I have a ImageLibary that load all the images to a hashtable and access each image by their path and filename.
    I only have to input the image root directory and it will load all the images including sub-directory. If I decide to put these directories in a JAR. is this still going to work? Do all the class files has to be in the same JAR?
    use getResourse()?
    My current ImageLibary is like this:
    public class ImagesLibary extends Component
    private Hashtable imagesBank;
    private Vector imagesName;
    private MediaTracker tracker;
    public ImagesLibary()
    imagesBank = new Hashtable();
    imagesName = new Vector();
    tracker= new MediaTracker(this);
    loadImageFile("./images");
    for(int i=0; i<imagesName.size(); i++)
    String key = (String)imagesName.get(i);
    Image image = getToolkit().getImage(key);
    tracker.addImage(image, 0);
    try
    tracker.waitForID(0);
    catch (InterruptedException e)
    System.err.println("Loading image: " + key + " fails. " + e);
    imagesBank.put(key,image);
    System.out.println("Loaded: " + key);
    System.out.println("Total of " + imagesBank.size() + " images.");
    private void loadImageFile(String dir)
    File imageDir = new File(dir);
    File temp[] = imageDir.listFiles();
    for(int i=0; i<temp.length;i++)
    if (temp.isDirectory())
    loadImageFile(temp[i].getPath());
    else
    imagesName.add(temp[i].getPath());

    is it going to improve the loading speed?depends :)
    is this still going to work?some ajustments are needed... but thats done quickly.
    Do all the class files has to be in the same JAR?no. but it's easier to handle.
    use getResourse()?yes. don't know if u have to. but i do it this way :)
    inside an application:
    URL keyboardImagePath;
    keyboardImagePath = (new Object()).getClass().getResource("/gfx/keyboard.gif");
    Image kb=getToolkit().getImage(keyboardImagePath);inside an applet:
    URL path = (new Object()).getClass().getResource( "/icons/right.gif" );
    // now make the icon getting the gif from the url
    ImageIcon = new ImageIcon( path );inside a hybrid:
    URL keyboardImagePath;
    keyboardImagePath = (new Object()).getClass().getResource("/gfx/keyboard.gif");
    System.out.println("<-(application)load:"+keyboardImagePath); //if u wanna c what happens
    if(keyboardImagePath==null)
         keyboardImagePath=selfRef.getClass().getResource("/gfx/keyboard.gif");
         System.out.println("<-(applet)load:"+keyboardImagePath); //if u wanna c what happens
    Image kb=getToolkit().getImage(keyboardImagePath);hope that was helpfull :)
