  • Change Column Heading in ALV Report

    Hi,
    I have developed a ALV Report, showing correct output.
    Problem is that Column Heading is not showing correct...means it is showing as per field name. But We want to change as per our understand. i.e. One column heading is like Unrestricted Stock but we want Unrestricted Stock...(BILF is an indicator)..
    We have write in the code..
    FORM build_fieldcat10.
      CLEAR fieldcat_ln.
      ADD 1 TO col_pos.
      fieldcat_ln-ref_tabname = 'MARD'.
      fieldcat_ln-fieldname   = 'LABST'.
      fieldcat_ln-seltext_m   = 'BILF Unrest.Stock'.
      fieldcat_ln-key         = space.
      fieldcat_ln-do_sum      = space.
      fieldcat_ln-col_pos     = col_pos.
      fieldcat_ln-no_out      = space.
      fieldcat_ln-qfieldname  = space.
      fieldcat_ln-hotspot     = space.
      APPEND fieldcat_ln TO fieldcat.
    ENDFORM.                    " BUILD_FIELDCAT1
    But after change the selection text...not showing correct text..How can i change Column heading???
    Please help me..

    Thanks a lot dear..
    My problem resolved by using SCRTEXT_L.

  • How to Change Column header in ALV List

    hello,
    is there a way to change the column header/label of an ALV list other than inheriting it from the source table it is bound to?
    thanks,
    sid

    Yes, you can.  If you are using a field catalog, you can change the field labels in your program.
    For example.
      data: fc_tmp type slis_fieldcat_alv .
      clear: fieldcat. refresh: fieldcat.
      clear: fc_tmp.
    <b>  fc_tmp-reptext_ddic    = 'Material Number'.</b>
      fc_tmp-fieldname  = 'MATNR'.
      fc_tmp-tabname   = 'IMARA'.
      fc_tmp-outputlen  = '18'.
      fc_tmp-col_pos    = 2.
      append fc_tmp to fieldcat.
    If you are using the MERGE funciton module to get your field catalog, then you just need to loop thru it and change the field which is holding the description, then modify the line of the field catalog.

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is that I have to create an ALV report with columns having two lines of headings. Right now my report has the depts of...
    How can i do that . If u would suggest by CL_SALV_TABLE then it would be great.
    Thanks a lot !

    i don't think you can do it using cl_gui_alv_grid or cl_salv_table.

  • Two column heading in ALV

    Hello All,
    I am using the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID to display the list.
    I want <b>two heading</b> like below:-
         Lname   Fname   1   2    3   4   5   6
    I want the heading Days on top of the columns 1 2..6.
    is this possible?
    Thanks & Regards

    hi,
    One way that i have used for a similar scenario is:
    to populate the grid title with the appropriate text at the appropriate column position, so that it appears as if it has two headings.

  • Problem while exporting ALV column header to excel sheet.

  • Re: Increasing Column Header Length While Printing in ALV Grid

    Hi
    For some column headers in a report, the translations in Turkey are more than 40 characters, because of which while executing the report in TR language, the column header is getting truncated.
    So, I would like to know if we can increase the column header length while printing the ALV Grid(OO ALV) output.
    Or else, Is there any way where we can divide the column header into 2 rows.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vishwa.

    Jose and Sivaram,
    Thanks for replying.
    The problem we have is with the column headers, there is a limit of 40 characters for the column header in ALV reports. So, increasing the outputlen also did not help.

    Vishwa.

  • Dynamic table  with  multilevel  column header

    Hi all ,
    Can u please tell me how to create dynamic internal table and display which has two level column header using alv.
    For example : |  amount   | year | Month     |
    in $
    in #
    oct
    nov
    Thanks in advance ,
    SA

    Hi SA,
    For your first question - Creating dynamic table refer code below...
    PARAMETERS: p_input TYPE i OBLIGATORY.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    DATA: v_fieldname TYPE char30.
    DATA: v_char TYPE numc4.
    DATA: it_fldcat TYPE lvc_t_fcat.
    DATA: wa_it_fldcat LIKE LINE OF it_fldcat.
    DATA: gp_table TYPE REF TO data.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <gt_table> TYPE table.
    DO p_input TIMES.
    v_fieldname = 'COL'.
    v_char = sy-index.
    CONCATENATE v_fieldname v_char INTO v_fieldname.
    CONDENSE v_fieldname.
    CLEAR wa_it_fldcat.
    wa_it_fldcat-fieldname = v_fieldname.
    wa_it_fldcat-datatype = 'CHAR'.
    wa_it_fldcat-outputlen = 5.
    wa_it_fldcat-intlen = 5.
    APPEND wa_it_fldcat TO it_fldcat .
    ENDDO.
    CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
    EXPORTING it_fieldcatalog = it_fldcat
    IMPORTING ep_table = gp_table.
    ASSIGN gp_table->* TO <gt_table>.
    Now you can use <gt_table> ..
    2. It is not possible to have multiple format column for ALV..
    Hope this solves ur prob..
    Enjoy SAP.

    I don't know how to read the code you pasted or I would have checked this myself.
    Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:
    I made a method inside my local class to add the names:
            call method set_colname
              EXPORTING iv_tab = alv_tab
                        iv_colid = 'xxxx'  "fieldname from the table
                        iv_stxt = text-t54
                        iv_mtxt = text-t55
                        iv_ltxt = text-t55.
    METHOD set_colname .
      data:
              alv_cols type REF TO cl_salv_columns_table,
              alv_col type REF TO cl_salv_column.
      TRY .
    *... Change fieldnames
            call METHOD iv_tab->get_columns RECEIVING value = alv_cols.
            call method alv_cols->get_column EXPORTING columnname = iv_colid RECEIVING value = alv_col.
            IF iv_stxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_short_text EXPORTING value = iv_stxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_mtxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_medium_text EXPORTING value = iv_mtxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_ltxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_long_text EXPORTING value = iv_ltxt.
            ENDIF.
       CATCH cx_salv_not_found.
      ENDTRY.
    ENDMETHOD. "set_colname

  • How to set title/text for ALV table column header in WD ABAP

    Hello,
    I am working in WDA using SALV_WD_Table to display data in table. I need to change the column header text, the obvious way is to get the column header and call the method SET_TEXT to set new text / title. However, this method does NOT work, it does not change the column header text. I also tried the SET_TOOLTIP, this one works, but SET_TEXT does not work. Anyone has idea why this not working and do you find any go-around solution?
    My version is NW 7.0
    Thank
    Jayson

    Hi jason ,
    For setting Heder text for your ALV table
    ip_confing type ref to CL_SALV_WD_CONFIG_TABLE.
    "set alv table header
      ip_config->if_salv_wd_table_settings~r_header->set_text( 'Test ALV Header functionality' ).
    first you have to hide the DDIC text and then try to set your own text .
    "modify columns
      LOOP AT lt_columns INTO ls_column.
        lr_column = ls_column-r_column.
        CASE ls_column-id.
          WHEN 'MANDT'.
            "hide this field
            lr_column->set_visible( cl_wd_abstr_table_column=>e_visible-none ).
           WHEN 'SEQNR'.
            "set header to different string
            lr_column->r_header->set_ddic_binding_field( if_salv_wd_c_column_settings=>ddic_bind_none )." use this line to hide ddic text
            lr_column->r_header->set_text( 'Position' ).
        endcase.
      endloop.

  • ALV - set_text in column header not working (or I'm doing something wrong)

    In the WDDOINIT module of my view that contains the ALV, I have the code:
    method wddoinit .
      data: l_ref_cmp_usage type ref to if_wd_component_usage,
            lr_column        type ref to cl_salv_wd_column,
            lr_column_header type ref to cl_salv_wd_column_header.
      l_ref_cmp_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_alv( ).
      if l_ref_cmp_usage->has_active_component( ) is initial.
        l_ref_cmp_usage->create_component( ).
      endif.
      data: l_ref_interfacecontroller type ref to iwci_salv_wd_table .
      l_ref_interfacecontroller =   wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv( ).
      data: l_value type ref to cl_salv_wd_config_table.
      l_value = l_ref_interfacecontroller->get_model( ).
      lr_column = l_value->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_column( 'LASTDATE' ).
      lr_column_header = lr_column->get_header( ).
      data: l_column_text type string.
      l_column_text = 'Must Change By'.
      lr_column_header->set_text( l_column_text ).
    endmethod.
    The text in the column header does not change.  It uses what is in the dictionary.

    Try setting the set_ddic_binding_field( '00' ).
