Mx.rpc.http.HTTPService, HttpResponse.sendRediect(url)

Hi guys,
I am using HTTPService to invoke my server side servlet and i passing some parameters using "data" field. In servlet side based on the parameter it will redirects and some other URL. Servlet code is below...
          doPost(request,response){
               response.sendRedirect(url);
How can I get the URL in flex side. Here I am using HTTPService at Flex client side. This is the service I have to use at FlexClient or any other.
Could please help me to solve this problem...

Guys,
I was able to get the request headers and response url from AIR application using URLLoader. below is the code...
               var url:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
                url.addEventListener(HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_RESPONSE_STATUS,test);
               ul.load(URLRequest(myurl));
          private function status(event:HTTPStatusEvent):void{
                Alert.show("1::"+ObjectUtil.toString(event.responseHeaders));
                Alert.show("2::"+ObjectUtil.toString(event.responseURL));
But I want same functionality in WebApplication. I am unable to add listener for "HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_RESPONSE_STATUS".
Please help.....

  • Change over from a simple Xml call to a rpc-Http call ....

    Hi there,
    I need to change over from a simple Xml call:
    <mx:XML id="urlsGeneral" source="http://www.mySite.com//.../AFS.xml"/>
    to a rpc-Http call which is updating the readout if Xml is changed at any time.
    I forgot to mention the most important item yet a very simple one: I need this only to be displayed in a title etc, and NOT a datagrid or else example below.
    title="{urlsGeneral.urlGeneral.(@name==0).age}
    I tried a lot today, but just can't get it right as the id="urlsGeneral" is always the problem.
    Any help would be appriciated !!! Thanks in advance. regards aktell2007

    Hi again,
    These days there are more quetions than answeres on any forum, and very seldom anybody shares the answer if they lucky enough to work it out so here is my answer for the above question
    Change over from a simple Xml call to a rpc-Http call ....
    I had it all along as a commend noted: // Removed [0] on single node !
    So instead of title="{urlsGeneral.urlGeneral.(@name==0).age} it would be now title="{resultObj.urlsGeneral.urlGeneral.[0].age} and now it works perfectly well. I hope that one or the other of you can use the answer and the code !!! regards aktell2007

  • XML-RPC via HTTPService

    I'm trying to make an XML-RPC call via an HTTPService
    instance. Is that the best way to do it?
    At present I can generate a request to the correct URL, but
    the POST seems to be empty. I think that I don't understand what
    should go in the <mx:request> tag -- I have the literal XML
    which I want sent:
    <mx:HTTPService
    id="loginRequest"
    url="
    http://localhost:8080/rpc/xmlrpc"
    useProxy="false"
    method="POST"
    contentType="application/xml"
    resultFormat="e4x" >
    <mx:request xmlns="" format="xml">
    <methodCall>
    <methodName>confluence1.login</methodName>
    <params>
    <param>
    <value><string>{username.text}</string></value>
    </param>
    <param>
    <value><string>{password.text}</string></value>
    </param>
    </params>
    </methodCall>
    </mx:request>
    </mx:HTTPService>
    Thanks for any advice.
    Tom

    I am having a similar problem, when I tried to read the
    contents of the POST in ASP it is blank.
    i'm sending some xml to asp from flex using the httpservice
    but when I try to parse the xml using the standard Microsoft.XMLDOM
    it always fails to parse the xml regardless of what xml I send.
    This leads me to think that flex is sending the xml incorrectly.
    flex code>
    request = new HTTPService();
    request.url="
    http://127.0.0.1/test.asp";
    request.contentType="application/xml"
    request.method="POST"
    request.resultFormat="text"
    request.request = XML(<test>testingxml</test>);
    request.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, success);
    request.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, fault);
    request.send();
    private function success(e:mx.rpc.events.ResultEvent):void {
    trace(e.result);
    private function fault(e:mx.rpc.events.FaultEvent):void {
    trace(e.message);
    my ASP code>
    Dim mydoc
    Set mydoc=Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
    mydoc.async=false
    mydoc.load(Request)
    Response.ContentType = "text/xml"
    if mydoc.parseError.errorcode<>0 then
    Response.write "<prob name='fail'>blah</prob>"
    else
    Response.write "<prob name='works'>yay</prob>"
    end if
    The asp script always sends <prob
    name='fail'>blah</prob> back to flex meaning that the xml
    failed to parse correctly. The xml is correct, if I load the same
    xml from a text file it will parse correctly, it only fails when
    the xml is loaded from flex.
    Does anyone know the exact format that the xml is sent in
    using the httpservice.send() method? I tried using Request.Form in
    ASP but it only gives the error printed at the bottom of this post.
    BTW is there anyway to get flex to trace error messages given
    from ASP when a script fails as I can't read them in a browser
    (because the request is sent using POST). When ASP gives an error
    flex either does not respond or gives this error which does not
    help my cause.

  • How to make HTTP call to encoded URL?

    Hi expert,
    I need to make an HTTP call to this url submitted by
    <form action='http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/BLAST/Blast.cgi' enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" method="POST" NAME="FormatForm" TARGET="Blast_Results_for_25530"><script src="../../../blastcgi.js"></script>
    if i use the action url in the form tag, it does not work. it looks like it is encoded by the enctype=.... is it possible to connect to this url? thanks.

    Do the first POST to Blast.cgi, with URL encoded parameters.
    Get the Refresh header from the response.
    Split the Refresh header into wait_time and next_url (find the ; and take two substrings)
    currentThread.wait(wait_time * 1000);
    next_url.openConnection().connect();
    Either you'll get your response, or you'll be told to wait longer (I don't know the details of Blast.cgi, you might need to loop).

  • RPC/TCP & RPC/HTTP

    Hi,
    I would like to know the difference between RCP/TCP and RPC/HTTP. Also, I would like to know where these two things are used in Exchange 2003,2007, 2010 & 2013 with respect to Outlook Connectivity. I meant internal connections and external connections.
    I know that in Exchange 2003 & 2007 all internal connections were directly pointed to Mailbox Servers and all external connections were coming in through the CAS/FE. In Exchange 2010 even MAPI connection was also shift from Mailbox to CAS Server.
    But I am facing difficulty in understanding between RPC/TCP, RPC/HTTP, RPC/HTTPS & MAPI/HTTP. Can some one please brief these things for me. I am unable to find any documents/articles in any of the forums.
    Regards,
    Noble
    Regards, Noble K Varghese

    All Outlook connectivity uses MAPI.  RPC is simply how MAPI is wrapped for communication.
    RPC/TCP is for local connectivity only.  It is not for connectivity externally.  Supported version of Exchange are 2003, 2007 and 2010.
    RPC/HTTP is using HTTP for MAPI communication.  External connectivity is supported.  Supported version of Exchange are 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013, however it should be noted that Exchange 2013 out of the box relies on RPC/HTTP.  RPC/TCP is
    not available in Exchange 2013.
    MAPI/HTTP was introduced in Exchange 2013 CU4 (SP1).  This allows MAPI communication that is only wrapped in HTTP for communication, rather than using RPC (see below link).  Exchange 2013 CU4 (SP1) and above are supported and this must be enabled
    before it can be used.
    For further information, I suggest subscribing to and reading through the Exchange team blog:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/
    Here is also a more recent blog post describing MAPI/HTTP, which also describes some of what I mentioned above:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2014/05/09/outlook-connectivity-with-mapi-over-http.aspx

  • Public folders still using RPC/HTTP after switch to MAPI/HTTP

    Hi,
    last weekend I've enabled MapiHttp in our Exchange 2013 organization. Mailboxes are picking up the new transport and Outlook 2013 shows that the connection to the mailboxes is being made using MAPI/HTTP. However, the Public Folders connection is still using
    RPC/HTTP. We aren't using legacy public folders, all PF's were migrated to the new public folder model. Also, when creating an entirely new Outlook profile the PF connection is using MAPI/HTTP after that. Only existing profiles keep using RPC/HTTP for PF's.
    Any idea why this is the case? Why isn't the PF connection updated automatically just like the mailbox connection?
    We are running Exchange 2013 CU7.
    Frank.

    Hi
    As per the information and details provided by you, to switch from RPC/HTTP to MAPI/HTTP, please follow these steps: -
    To enable MAPI/HTTP, run the following command:
    Set-OrganizationConfig –MapiHttpEnabled $true
    As you see from the cmdlet, deploying MAPI/HTTP is an
    “all-or-nothing” approach. This means that you have to plan the deployment carefully. Switching from
    “traditional” RPC/HTTP to MAPI/HTTP involves users restarting their Outlook (yes, the dreadful
    “your administrator has made a changed” dialog box is back).
    I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • How to force RPC-HTTP for RD Gateway?

    Our company hosts an application through VMs in Azure and RemoteApp. We encountered an issue where the RemoteApp session would time out after some period of inactivity, which is apparently related to how Azure handles the connections. Microsoft support provided
    a workaround by setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\RDGClientTransport to 1 on client machines which forces them to connect to the RD Gateway using RPC-HTTP instead of HTTP or UDP. This works great on Windows machines, but clients
    who wish to connect using an Apple computer still have the timeout issue. Is there any way to force this setting on the OS X Remote Desktop client? Even better would be some way to fix this on the server side to we wouldn't have to bother with changing settings
    on client machines.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

    Update:
    Somehow, rpc.nisd_resolv eventually spawns on the Solaris 8 master server as well, not just on the Solaris 10 slaves.
    I've confirmed several times that none of the ypserv daemons run with -d, and that YP_INTERDOMAIN is not present in the hosts map.
    Anyone know of a way to make rpc.nisd_resolv go away for good? One workaround is to rename /usr/sbin/rpc.nisd_resolv, so ypserv can't exec it. But I would rather use a non-kludgy method, if possible.

  • Http post to a url from a WebDynpro (Java) application

    Hi,
    I want to send http post parameters to a url from a WebDynpro (Java) component. I need to do this to send OCI catalog data back to SAP SRM.
    I found this thread:
    HTTP Post
    which suggests to use the the Suspend plug for this purpose.
    <quote>
    Sending POST parameters with Web Dynpro Suspend Plugs
    1) Define a an additional Suspend Plug parameter (besides 'Url' of type String) with name 'postParams' and of type Map
    </quote>
    After adding the postParams parameter of type java.util.Map to the Suspend-plug the WebDynpro gives the following error during build:
    Outbound plug (of type 'Suspend') 'suspend_plug' may have at most two parameters: 'url' of type 'string' and 'postParams' of type 'Map'.
    I use SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio version 7.0.16.
    Does someone know a solution? I would highly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • HTTP reciever adapter pass URL parameters

    Hello all,
    I have a question regarding passing parameters as querystring in the url of reiever HTTP adapter. This is an RFC> XI> HTTP scenario and we're posting to an external URL. Here are the details
    URL: xxxx.yyyyy.com
    Service Number: 80
    Path: /api/company_codes
    It works fine with these. I want to pass a parameter called "bulk" with value "1".
    How should I do it. Should I append it to the Path directly like
    Path: /api/company_codes?bulk=1
    or enable Apply URL Parameters under Adapter Specific MJessage Attributes and fill in
    Parameter 1 : bulk=1
    Could somebody clarify this please?

  • Mapping Issue(UDF) in HTTP-RFC scenario with URL parameters - Urgent

    Hi All,
    I am working out an HTTP-RFC scenarion wherein there is no xml data to be pushed.
    The data will be coming in the url parameters.
    Also we'll exposing our url(created by SAP PI) to 3rd party system to push data in terms of url parameters.
    So how do I do mapping? Also what UDF code will contain?
    Since I'm working on this kind of scenario for the first time, I need every help from you guys.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi All,
    I have worked on RFC to HTTP scenario wherein URL have to be passed. I used UDF in d same.
    But now the case is reverse, how shall I move ahead with what source message type(in the mapping) and how to do mapping.
    What kind of UDF will be useful here?
    I am completely blank in this kind of scenario where 3rd party system is going to pass four parameters on URL link craeted by us since its an HTTP to RFC scenario.
    Please guys help me! Give me some inputs.

  • Routing of messages to different interfaces via HTTP using one single URL.

    Hi all,
    I'm working on an inbound scenario. Messages are coming to SAP via HTTP adapter and i'm using a unique URL of every interface. But what is required is one single URL for all interfaces without any dropbox in PI, i.e. all messages will be pushed to one URL and i have to route them to their respective interfaces, there is no storage involved in PI box.

    logically this is not a possibility.
    But in case you are looking at a generic interface then you will have to handle this using;
    1.  a generic Data type to accommodate all required structures
    2. use conditional routing in configuration to execute further transformations.
    I wouldnt recommend this though.

  • Http redirects not changing url in address bar

    I'm going crazy trying to fix a major bug in our application. Http
    redirects are not changing the url in the address bar of the latest versions of internet explorer. But this only happens if the redirected page is an xml page with an xslt reference for the browser to do the transformation. Mozilla seems to work fine, but I seem to have encountered a major bug in Internet Explorer. If anybody can help or at least point me in a direction I'd be SO grateful. This doesn't seem to be a java servlet specific issue, but that's what we're using so I thought I'd ask the question here too.
    We have an MVC type framework we developed. For example, if you were to add something to a shopping cart, the url might be:
    http://ecommerce.com/cart/add?sku=54321. In the add servlet, we would add the sku to your shopping cart and then redirect to, let's say,
    http://ecommerce.com/displaycart. I think this is how most MVC frameworks work. And it works great for us.
    The problem began when we started sending XML to the browser with an XSLT stylesheet. So now the browser does the transformations (if the browser is capable of doing them, which we check) instead of the server. This is a major part of our project. One of the reasons we started this.
    The problem is that Internet Explorer no longer updates the url in the
    address bar after a redirect. Mozilla works great though. We haven't
    tested on other xslt capable browsers yet. In the example above, what would happen is after adding something to your shopping cart, the "displaycart" page would be shown but the http://ecommerce.com/cart/add?sku=54321 url would be shown in the address bar. It wouldn't seem to be too big of a deal since everything works. But now all the relative links are messed up. They start from the "cart" directory. So we need absolute links. But that introduces many other problems. We then need to know the host and the parent directories (not as easy as it seems).
    So is there a solution? Is this a big bug that nobody has realized yet (or maybe they have, but my searches don't see it) in internet explorer? Is there a way for the redirected url to appear in the address bar from a browser-based xslt transformation in internet explorer? By the way, I'm testing with the latest version of IE6.0 as of July 7, 2003.
    When testing, redirects work perfect if I do the xslt transformation on the server side and just send plain html to internet explorer. And it works perfect with either serverside or browserside xslt transformations in mozilla.

    As I've been reading in the specs, microsoft, etc, it seems that it's not what's supposed to happen. But the specs are not very specific about this. However, internet explorer DOES always replace the url in the address bar with the redirected url if HTML is being returned from the redirected servlet. As is the case with all other browsers. So, at least, this behavior is the de-facto standard.
    BUT when the redirected to page is an xml page which references an xslt stylesheet.. then, ONLY in internet explorer, the original url is what's shown in the address bar (and, more importantly, what's used as the base url). Regardless of what the links look like or how they're manipulated in the transformed HTML that ends up being shown, I can't seem to make the url in the address bar the redirected url..

  • HTTP Receiver Adapter : Dynamic URL

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where I wish to build a dynamic URL for the HTTP Receiver Adapter. The URL will contain a customer number which is present in the mapping.
    The help seems to suggest that this is possible :
    <i>If you want to use an HTTP destination or URL set by the mapping, set the URL or HTTP Destination indicator. (The indicator displayed depends on the Addressing Type you selected above). If you set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination set dynamically is called by HTTP.
    If the message header does not contain the URL or the HTTP destination, and you have set the Fail If Adapter-Specific Message Attributes Missing indicator, the XI message is set to status System Error. If you do not set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination defined statically in the communication channel is used.</i>
    However, it is not very clear where the URL needs to be set dynamically.
    Does anyone know how to achieve this ?
    Cheers
    Colin.

    So the data comes to an F5 through the DMZ to the SAP webdispatcher then to the SAP XI system.
    Any ideas if this is possible or how you could start with a shorter URL?
    Thanks,
    Dede

  • HTTP Receiver: parameter in URL

    Hi,
    in my HTTP receiver adapter I'd like to use the following:
    www.xyz.com/script.asp?xmlcontent=payload
    So
    my target host = www.xyz.com
    my Path = script.asp
    How do I put the xmlcontent=payload in ?
    I read some things about prolog and epilog.
    Should I also change the content type ?
    thanks !

    Hi Alexander,
    I guess there is no need to use epilog and prolog. You can configure the URL parameter at receiver communication channel.
