My computer isn't detecting my iphone as a music shareing device but i want to put music on it what do i do?
My computer will not detect m,y iphone4 as a music shareing device. I have it pluged in to the computer and the phone what do i do?
you iphone does not work like a regular ipod, where you can drag and drop music, you must sync it with itunes. plug it into your computer, click on the icon that is labeled iphone that will show on the left column when you do this there is a section on the top that says music. click on that, then you can select playlists and artists, etc. then click apply. it should work then

Things are even more confusing, because shortly after getting my iphone 4, I tried to update it to the newest version and the phone crashed; my husband reformatted the phone to factory settings, and in the process set up my phone with my daughter's email address. Go to settings, store, click on apple ID, sign out and sign back in with your ID. You can put her music into your account. That is illegal.

I was having the same problem tonight. I went into my computer programs and uninstalled any and all of the apple programs and then reinstalled itunes. my phone popped right back up in itunes after that.
just make sure to uninstall anything that says itunes or has apple as the publisher. hopefully this helps -

Go through your syncing prefrences! Make sure what you want to sync is all checked off -

Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content. -

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. That way, you can have whatever iTunes content you want on each phone, but keep all of the other data separate. You can create another Apple ID here:

If you have tried all troubleshooting steps providing by Apple, call AppleCare or make an appointment an an Apple store if there is one nearby. You have no other option. -

Ok hotpeg. plug ur iphone to the computer go to itunes, in the iphone menu select PHOTOS then search on ur computer where you save your previous pictures from the other iphone and sync , all pictures will be transfering to ur iphone.

You will need to setup a new Apple ID for your sister. You have to have an Apple ID and iDevice connected and using that account to get an iCloud account.
