My daughter doesnt remember the password she put on her ipod. When I plug it into my computer it connects to my itunes account and shows everything that is on it but it will not let me reset the password anywhere..so what do I do?

Daughter forgets password to Ipod..trys it to many times and it says disabled connect to itunes. So I do so and it shows all the music and junk she has on the ipod but I dont know where or how to unlock the device to where we can use it again..Any iinfo greatly appreciated!!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You have to restore the iPod, no ifs, ands, or buts...
After iOS is installed you will be asked if you what to set it up as a new iPod or if you want to restore from a backup.
If you have a good backup you can restore that and you're good to go.
If you don't have a good backup, then you end up with a "clean" iPod....

What does "it will not let me purchase it" mean exactly? Are you getting an error message?

I don't understand what you are setting up using numbers - or letters. If it's a passcode, then you can translate the letters into numbers as you would on a telephone keyboard - for example, an "S" would be a 7.

Lion should still be available if you call the online Apple Store. If the Apple Store still has it, they will ask for your Apple ID and credit card number and will then send you a code which you can redeem in the Mac App Store. The Lion installer will download and run automatically.

Yeah... that's exactly the way it is supposed to work. Sharing the library does not move it anywhere.
To move the library to the new computer, copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

I have a fully functioning imac running snow leopard fine (recently upgraded to it) because of flash and java issues on browsers seemed I needed to get on to Lion or Mountain Lion so I upgraded the RAM to 2.5GB and now it will not let me upgrade maybe because my model seems to be a late 2006 and not a 2007 imac, cannot understand why it will not let me do this or provide a solution for me to upgrade what I need? Go into your system profiler and tell us your Machine Identifier that says:
iMac x,y (give us the x and y values)
That will tell us whether you are Mavericks compatible or not.
Also tell us how much RAM you have installed.

FInd the original installer discs you have iPhoto on. By the way, your signature makes no sense for the forum you are in, nor the knowledgebase article you posted the question from.
HT1338 discusses the Mac App Store, not available till mac OS X 10.6.6 or later.
Mavericks is Mac OS X 10.9 and later.
Your signature says you have 10.2.x.
Lacking further info, we can't give you concrete information. Where did you get iPhoto from? The App Store or an installer CD of iLife, or the installer disc that came with your iMac?
What operating system do you really have installed?
Did you backup your data before attempting to install? If not, that was very bad judgement on your call, as anything can fail at anytime once you begin an install.
