Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

I recently deleted by mistake all the pictures and videos in camera roll on my Ipod touch 5g . I had no apple Id, no itune no back up file nothing! is there a way to recover these files ?

I created and albums and I copied all the pictures and videos and I pasted it in the new album after that i deleted all the pictures and videos in the camera roll . I didnt know that it will be also deleted from the new album ! any one can help me to recover these files . but I had no itunes no back up data no icloud nothing!

If you set up find my iphone BEFORE it was lost AND it is on AND it has not been restored, then you may be able to track it using icloud.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it.
Report it to the police and change your passwords.

If he Registered his mac in his icloud account and said yes to "Find my mac" than he can go to icloud.com, log-in, and than click find my mac. His mac can then be located.

I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

If by resetting to factory settings you mean she erased the drive and reinstalled the operating system, OS X, then yes all data thatwas on it is gone. That is why apple included time machine so you can make backups of your data.

Here's the thing guys...I upgraded my iPad from 6.0.1 to 6.1.3 then to 7.0 without backing up the files so I lost all my pictures and video, some precious family moments, so I'm wondering is there anyway to recover them,by any means that is?

If you didn't get everything back you can try recovery-android.com. It works with ipads. There's a free trial so if you didn't get back all your pictures and videos you took after your backup last month, you might want to give it a try.

You can back up your iPad, then restore the backup to your 5c. This will not transfer camera roll photos or apps that are not compatible with an iPad, but it will transfer other data, settings, apps and other purchased media.

Connect the 5 to a computer and see if it is recognized. If so copy the pictures from phone. If not, you are out of luck.

My ipod touch was stolen on the a public bus on tuseday !! there was 3 people across from me and were looking at me while i had it i have them as name of suspects and on the bus there was cctv footage so i went to the police to look at it and they yet havent got back yet and so i went on to find my iphone and i used this before and it found my ipod when i last used it in december or early jan but when i tryed to use it this time it said offline .. so i contacted apple they said keep trying it soo i have but nothing changing and im getting more upset with out it everyday and i just got it x mas time.. if there is anyway else you can track it please please tell me !!!! i would much appriciate it xx
