Are there apps you don't need or use? Delete them.
Is there content you've downloaded from iTunes that you can delete (as long as it's available in iTUnes, you can redownload any previously purchased content)
Do you have any large e-mails in your mailbox? Such as mails with photos.
Do you have photos that you don't want or need anymore?
Settings, general, usage can tell you how much space apps are taking up and that can help you choose what needs to go, what's part of the problem, etc.

i have an iphone, imac and 2 ipod touches 5th generation. I just purchased some apps and songs on the ipad with hopes they would transfer to all the other devices. some of them did go to all devices while others did not. when i go to purchases on one of the ipods they show up as not purchaced (even though they may be on 2 of the other devices). my iphone has them there, but it says waiting to download. its been a day and they are still waiting to download. I've checked settings on all and they are set to automatically download and all devices share the same apple id. not sure what ive done wrong and have tried several things. hopefully i haven't confused you too much.
My problem was that Software Update didn't check for updates every day, and maybe never...

Basically all you have to do is open the Terminal and type:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist ScheduleFrequency 1
The number, 1 in this case, means the frequency which Software Update is going to check for updates, so 1 means every day.
If this doesn't work you can try two things (or both, but in this order)
- Go to /Library/Preferences/ and delete the file: com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist, then open Software Update... to create a new file, and go to System Preferences to configure it again. Finally open the Terminal and try the command at the beginning of this comment.
- If Software Update continues without checking for updates every day, open the file: com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist and you will see a preference that is: ScheduleFrequency with the number 1 at its right and you will see that the type is String, copy the file to the Desktop (for example) and change the type String to Number, then drag the file in the Desktop into the Preferences folder and replace the first. It will work. (For this part you will need Xcode) -
I had bough alot of ringtones for my i-phone, when i upgraded it, after that they didn't appear on my phone anymore, yet they are still on my I-tunes, what can i do to fix that?

If it's still not syncing to your phone after going through this article, try altering the tag on one of the ringtones by right-clicking on the ringtone, selecting "Get Info", go to the Info tab and make a slight change to the Artist field (such as by adding a few characters to the end), Click OK and try syncing it again. If it transfers successfully, do the same for the remaining ringtones.

Many complaints in ASK QUESTIONS about getting rid of iMesh in a browser, but no answer is provided. Please instruct your users how to get rid of this program. I got the install information from iMesh directly but my browser will not clear it, even if I change my home page. It's an impossible program to get rid of. This can't be legal. Thanks,

Okay so my new ipad air has come with some free apps such as iBook, find my friends, iMovie ect... And my iMovie isn't in my app list so I tried goin to App Store n reopening but it comes up with you have purchased so no additional charges n doesn't download at all!

Update to iOS 8.0.2 on my iPad Air flagged my Settings Widget with 1 alert. I cannot find the reason for the alert anywhere within Settings and have tried to restart (i.e., power and touch ID) several times to no avail. Would appreciate anyone's help trying to ID the problem and instructions on how to get rid of the alert, please.
Thanks!OK. Got it. sounds like the alert is hung after updating to 8.0.2. Based on past experience, it will not hurt anything, and will likely go away on its own after a bit. However, a couple of troubleshooting steps:
Open Settings app > General > Software updates. Verify that you have indeed installed 8.0.2
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset. -

I'm sure it is but it'll cost you if it's out of warranty or if the warranty does not cover the damage. Take it to a nearby Apple store.

I recently connected my new ipad to my itunes, but now itunes will not recognise my ipod classic, and 50gig of music has gone. ipad connects ok but no longer ipod which has been there for two years! help!!!

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on. -
When I try to setup my new iPad air, I go through all the steps for the iCloud sign-in and choosing security questions and what not. But after I hit the agree to the terms and conditions... It says Apple ID could not be created because of a server error. Have no clue what to do... I've restarted the iPad and get the same message. But my internet works just fine.

After the recent upgrade to ios 8 ipad air has no audio coming outI had the same problem until tonight. Played with ring tones, do not disturb, volume, and everything else posted. What I found is that when you go to sounds/text tone, there are two types of tones in the scrolling menu. The top set of tones are for alert tones and the bottom set are ringtones. They are separated by a gray bar that states their purpose. Many of the tones are the same name. You need to set your text alert in the Ringtones and reminders, alarms, and such in alerts. The weird thing about this menu is when you go to sounds/ringtone the menu is reversed. Mine works in locked mode or unlocked now. I have an Iphone 6 8.1.2. My problem started after my latest OS upgrade. Hope this helps.

I have a problem, my wife has an ipad with photos , emails etc etc, she has recently got herself a new iPad Air, has now been using that for two or more months, more photos (new) more emails and other stuff. What she wants to do is get all she wants from ipad 1 to new ipad without finishing up with 2 of everything which happen on previous occasion. I realise that she needs to tidy up ipad 1 first and get rid of thousands of emails etc. I need help.

When we did iPhone thru same process finished up with two of most things pics and emails. The emails alone were over 2 thousand and wife reluctant to delete them all. I would and just sort pics. Any other ideas

I have had the same problem, so many apps do not work properly without it! Apple says the internet satellite, the Internet satellite says Apple, back and forth with the blame instead of fixing the problem. Have turned location on and off, reset everything multiple times ( lots of hours and bandwidth to download ), Siri is now working part time, I guess she has cut back her hours for the summer. Even in these forums was suggested to check with Skyhook who does the global positioning, and after hours with them, they ended up saying that they have nothing to do with it anymore, Apple does. All to no avail and much frustration! I wonder if this is happening with the iPhone's? i'd like to know if this is happening with others that do not use satellite as their ISP? That would help narrow down the argument with Apple vs. satellite. Fell for you! Someone please help us! Ta
