How can I find my iPod touch that got lost ? But I don't have the Find my Phone app .
    Please , help me ..

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

  • TS4006 how can I find my Ipod touch if I have not fully registered in Icloud? I downloaded Icloud but did not complete the registration. I recently backed it up with Itunes 2 wks ago. Will be able to find my Phone ID from that? Please help.

I lost my Ipod touch. I have downloaded Icloud but did not complete registration. I have back it up with Itunes 2 weeks ago in my computer at home. I am out of town. How can I find my Ipod touch?

In order to use Find My iPhone (or iPad, etc), your device has to be connected to iCloud with a valid ID/account, the Find my iPhone service has to be turned on (on the device), in Settings>iCloud.  It sounds as though you haven't done these tasks - unfortunately, there's no way to track your lost device.
BTW, you don't "download" icloud, you register it on a device by going to Settings>iCloud and then click the ON switch and entering your ID/password (perhaps this is what you meant by downloading iCloud).

Can I find my ipod touch without the app?

If you set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPod on your device, you can track in on icoud.com from a computer.  See http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442.

  • Can apple find my ipod touch with the serial number?

I'm wondering how to find my Ipod touch and if it is possible to go to an Apple store, give them my lost ipod's serial number, and find it somehow. Can anyone tell me anything?

    - No.  The SN will only help idenify the iPod as yours if it is recovered. Apple will do nothing
    - If youu hadturn on FIndMyiPod and wifi is on you may be able to find its general location by going to icloud.com, signing  in and going to FindMyiPhone,. However, that can be defeated by turing the iPOd off or restoring the iPod.
    - Report it to the police and change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod.

  • How can I find my iPod touch if it was not registered?

It is recently bought and didn't manage to register it. Is there any chance to find it knowing only the serial number?

The iPod can't be locatd by its SN.  The SN can only be used to verify tha the iPod is yous when it is found.
If you had already set up
Apple - iPod touch - How to set up Find My iPod touch
then you might be able to locate the iPod if wifi is on and some other conditions are met.  Apple will not help locate your iPod.  Also see:

  • Can't find an iPod Touch today in the UK

I'm in the West Midland near Shrewsbury, and I had 28th September in my mind for the Grand Launch of the iPod Touch. Well, I've trawled the Internet and called all the usual outlets, but I can't find one. Various stores are allowing online ordering, but that doesn't mean they have any in stock. There were some around last week apparantly, but they are long gone. Anybody had any success today?

Have you tried the two Apple Retail stores in the area? I'm sure Apple is more likely to ensure stock in it's own stores than 3rd party ones.
    http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/bullring/week/20070923.html
    http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/touchwoodcentre/week/20070923.html
Call ahead and see if they have stock. Both stores have free iPod/iTunes training sessions at 1600 on 29 Sep too.
In Shrewbury you're probably about an hour away from the Bullring like I am down in Gloucestershire.

  • TS3376 I can't find my ipod touch in the house. I don't have the serial number.

Is there a way to locate this ipod touch?

Find My iPod had to be activated on your device before you lost it in order to locate it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com.  But even if you did, the location accuracy isn't going to show you where it is inside your house, it would only show you that it at your home address (at best).
Having the serial number isn't going to help you locate it, but if you've ever backed it up in iTunes you can go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and hover your mouse over the name of your backup to get a pop-up showing you the serial number.

  • Can i find my ipod touch if it doesnt have wifi

well it was in august so about two months ago i lost my broken ipod touch 4th generation i really dont remember the last time i saw it and im afraid i will never see it again and may get in lots of trouble. But my problem is that i lost my ipod and i asked my friend to use find my ipod but it said it doesnt have wifi,Can i still find it if it doesnt have wifi someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! is there a way it can be found of any sort!

    Look for it.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • Mailboxes on Mac - can i see on iPod Touch 2G?

Recently got an iPod Touch 32GB 2G (2.1.1) and i want to know if there is any way to sync (and therefore see) all the mailboxes i have on my Mac with the Touch?
The only way i can see it working so far is to move the mailboxes from 'On My Mac' to the '.Mac Account' i really don't want to do this. Is there any other way??
    Thanks.
PS: i tested with moving one mailbox to the .Mac Account, and it also remained On My Mac... is it possible that it could function this way? as in the same box existing in two places, and when a message gets moved to it (either manually, or with a rule) then it is saved in both places??

pretty much want it to sync. I guess more detail is needed! If i'm using the Mac, and message arrives that is controlled by a rule, then it gets moved to a mailbox that is On My Mac. if i then sync the Touch, only messages that are in the Inbox are sent to the Touch, and any messages that have been moved, i would not be able to see/read/reply to from the Touch.
Maybe i didn't fully understand what you said. When you say 'add them manually' do you mean to add the mailboxes manually on the Touch? i haven't found a way to do that yet. is there a way?
what did you mean by connection?
    sorry for the confusion!
