My navigation bar colors went all wonky!

The colors of my navigation bar changed when I updated Firefox. The top one in the picture is what they turned into, the bottom is what they're supposed to be. It's only the correct color when I have multiple tabs open, otherwise everything is black.

I Think I understand your problem.
This is not a new development and the solution is somewhere on this support but I can not find it anymore. I just reinstalled win 7 and therefor a new FF that reinstated this supposed "improvement" grrr
I found the below and changed it from "true" to" false" and voila it's back to all white.
go to "about:config" and search for the below.
browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled <--change from true to false

  • Custom color for navigation bar

    I am struggling to find a way to make my navigation bar color different that supported colors.
    SDK supports default style i.e. blue, black and black opaque. I know it is possible cause there so many apps doing so. For example midomi.
    I have searched this forum already but haven't found working solution. If anybody knows how to do it would be grateful if he points me to the solution.

  • Justify Hyperlink Text in Navigation Bar

    Hello,
    I am trying to justify the text of my navigation bar (which are all hyperlinks).  I would like to use css.  I have tried a variety of things but none seem to work.  I have attached the text.  If anyone could write the code I need it would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!  I have attached the file as well.

  • [Forum FAQ] Customize the Navigation Bar in Outlook 2013

    In Outlook 2013, the Navigation Bar is a gray bar which lists commands at the bottom of the Outlook window that enable you to quickly navigate to Mail, Calendar, People, and Tasks.
    You can change the Navigation Bar settings for a single user by clicking
    … and then Navigation Options. For more information, please refer:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/change-what-appears-on-the-navigation-bar-HA102838974.aspx
    However, if you want to change the Navigation Bar settings for all users in your organization, you’ll need to modify the registry.
    Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that
    you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756.
    To modify the Compact view
    To maximize the vertical height of the Outlook window you can use Compact Navigation. We can change the setting by creating the
    ABCompact registry key. To do this, please follow the steps:
    1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type regedit
    and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
    2. Locate the following registry path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Options
    3. Right-click on the Options folder and select NEW > KEY, name it
    WunderBar.
    4. Select the WunderBar key, right-click on it and select
    NEW > DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it ABCompact.
    Value name: ABCompact
    Value type: DWORD (32-bit)
    Value: 1 to tick the Compact Navigation;
    0 to untick it.
    5. Restart Outlook to make the change.
    To modify the Maximum number of visible items
    To change how many views appear on the Navigation Bar, you need to change the number for Maximum number of visible items by modifying the
    NumBigModulesAB registry key.
    Value path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences
    Value name: NumBigModulesAB
    Value type: REG_DWORD
    Value: 1-8
    The key doesn’t exist by default. When the value is set to 1, only
    Mail will appear on the Navigation Bar. If the value is set to
    8, all views will appear.
    To modify which view is turned on or off
    You can also turn one or more views off from the Navigation Bar. This is controlled by a registry string named
    ModuleVisible15.
    Value path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences
    Value name: ModuleVisible15
    Value type: REG_SZ
    Value: 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,0
    By default, the string value is set to 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,0.
    1 means the view is turned on while 0 means the view is turned off. Moreover, the value correspond one-to-one with the views, for example, the first “1” correspond to
    Mail, and the second “1” correspond to
    Calendar… By default, the eighth and ninth view is turned off. The eighth is
    Journal and I have no idea what the ninth number stands for. You can open Journal by pressing Ctrl+8, but if you want it to appear on Navigation Bar, you can change the eighth “0” to “1”.
    To modify the view order
    If you want to switch the positions of Mail and Calendar, you’ll need to modify the
    ModuleOrderAB string.
    Value path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences
    Value name: ModuleOrderAB
    Value type: REG_SZ
    Value: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
    The default order for the Navigation Bar is:
    Mail  Calendar  People  Tasks  Notes  Folders  Shortcuts
    Journal
    In the registry string there are 9 numbers (1~9), let’s just ignore 9. So, there are 8 numbers left and each number has some relationships to each Navigation item.
    Here is the logic:
    There are 8 Navigation Options. Let’s say ‘Mail’ is Nav1, Calendar is Nav2, People is Nav3, …, Shortcut is the Nav7 and Journal is Nav8.
    Meanwhile, there are 8 positions to put those 8 Navigation items, we name them
    position1 to position8, from left to right.
    For example,    CALENDAR  TASKS  PEOPLE  FOLDERS  MAIL  NOTES  SHORTCUTS
    Journal
    ModuleOrderAB=    5
    1              3
    2              6
    4
    7
    8
    The number “5” is in the first position of the ModuleOrderAB string and it takes
    position1. The default navigation option for position1 is
    Mail.
    So, “5” means put Nav1 (Mail) on position5.
    “1” is on position2, default navigation item on
    position2 is Calendar. It means put Calendar on
    position1.
    So, “3” means put People on position3; “2” means put
    Task on position2… and so on.

    There isn't a built in way to do that since all the navigation toolbars are on one toolbar.
    You can restore this functionality by installing the Classic Theme Restorer add-on

  • How to Incorporate "fade" Into the Navigation Bar with iWeb?

    I started wondering about and exploring this topic in another thread. I would like to make the navigation bar shine brightly and then slowly fade whenever the cursor overlaps the navigation buttons. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? For an example of what I'm looking for, please visit Neonsky.com. This company is a website builder that has, as one of its features, the fading navigation bar option that I'm looking to incorporate into iWeb. Just look at some of their featured websites for an example. I also found the following doing a google search. Any thoughts and ideas of how to get this feature on my iWeb designed website would be helpful. Thank you.
    http://dreamweavermenu.com/dreamweaver-navigation-bar-fade.html

    Leave all files in the folder as you downloaded them. Drop the index.html file on the browser icon. You will then see what the menu will look like when published on a page. Edit the index.html file to your needs. Your edits will be shown in the browser window (save file upon edit - don't worry, you can still undo in most editors - and refresh the browser window).
    If required, also edit the main.css and image files.
    When done, copy the contents of the index.html file into a HTML snippet in iWeb. Position the snippet to exactly where you want it to be (height and width accordingly) and publish. Upload the other files manually and make sure that their path on the iDisk/server matches the path mentioned in the index.html and main.css files.
    As you will have gathered, you need to understand some HTML and CSS. You may acquire understanding and knowledge by trial and error.

  • Navigation Bar is lost!?!

    Short version: created new website with iWeb08. Published to .mac just fine - links and all. FTP'd and uploaded to webhosting server and navigation bar is gone, all that remains is a bullet point. The hosting company said the custom java links are the problem, but if that is so, why does .mac show my page correctly? I have deleted/uploaded 3 times and checked the /Scripts folder and feed.xml - they are on the host site. Problem is both with Firefox and IE(boo!). Anyone have anything to help? I am a total newbie to this - last apple was a IIe.... and I have never created a site before.

    Nope, that one is completely new to me. I can't seem to find that folder. I don't have Mac Lion so it shouldn't be hidden, but searching for the
    ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>
    ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>
    doesn't turn anything up, Using the finder doesn't seem to point me to a firefox folder where I can find it. I tried to add an extension so that I may get the folder I get a "The add on could not be downloaded due to a connection failure on addons.moxzilla.org" message. (I don't have any other extensions also.)
    I don't have a customized toolbar, it's just the usual one. I miss having my back and forward buttons lol.
    I've had this happen before but it's always been fixed by checking the navigation bar button. :/

  • My navigation bar refuses to come down with the usual down swipe,  whats the solution/fix for this issue???

    this has just begun lately--what is the fix??is it a setting preference by any chance???

        We simply must figure this out for you. Can you recall if there have been any changes to the phone since this began? Have you tried the power/off trick?

  • Fuctional Navigation Bar (Newbie Web Designer)

    I bought a navigation bar that is all one picture.  Does anyone know how I would be able to get it to function?  I've seen youtube videos about inputting a navigation bar but there's seem to be in pieces instead of one picture.
    I know I need to use an unordered list but I'm lost after that. It is simpler to make a navigation bar myself in dreamweaver but I liked this one so I bought it. The file is psd but I need to convert this navigation bar to html and css in dreamweaver so it is functional and you can click on each menu which it takes you to a different page. Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this? Does this picture have to be sliced and if so does anyone know how I would go about doing that. Is it possible to slice a big picture into parts.

    what version of photoshop do you have? what OS are you using? Is the psd file a flattened file or are the buttons on their own respective layers?
    If it is a single layer, then slicing maybe the way to go. When you add the images via html, you need to create a class or id to make that button unique for your CSS to control it.

  • How do i make a navigation bar for all pages

    Hi friends !
    I want the same navigation bar to appear on all the web pages of my website. (As these are the common things that all the webpages will have). But I didn't find any option to use the navigation bar as a template.
    Will I have to copy and paste the same navigation bar on all the pages (let's say 50 to 60 pages, I will have). It will be very tiresome and tedious job to do.
    And also if I make even a minor change in the navigation bar then I will have to change it in all 50-60 pages.
    What should I do ?
    Please help me in this regard.
    Imagine a 100 or 200 page site, perfectly functioning and on the air. Then, one day, you need to add or delete some button, or simply change a link. You need to change the menubar in ALL 200 pages, and then re-publish them all. Quite a work, ah ?
    Regards,
    Jtechmiami

    Although Dreamweaver Templates and Library items are suitable tools for doing this, they're tedious and cumbersome at best. They get old very quickly.
    By far the most efficient method is to set your navigation bar up as a Server Side Include (SSI).
    SSIs are not Dreamweaver specific, they're a general web technology available on any server.
    A good primer here
    http://www.projectseven.com/products/menusystems/pmm2/ug-examples/includes/index.htm
    Do you already have a hosting account? Does it have PHP available?

    Not with SSIs. Simple sitewide menu updates take a few seconds.
    You edit a single text file locally (either button labels or a CSS rule for styling the button), upload (1-2 seconds) and every page on the site is instantly updated.
    Much better than DW Templates.

  • How do I change navigation bar text color?

    I want to change the color of the type in the navigation bar, as well as the line/bar below the type. How can I do this?

    there are many way to change navbar look-and-feel:
    1) by changing template XML, this requires XML knowledge and is a complex process.
    2) by changing navbar CSS in page source, this a bit easier but requires post editing.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5186688&#5186688
    3) by javascript, this requires CSS and javascript knowledge:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8638743&#8638743
    4) by manually build your own navbar as roddy and ot mentioned, this requires no knowledge of any kind but it is not very efficient; see my post here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8136472&#8136472
    5) by AJAX, this requires CSS, javascript and AJAX knowledge; I outlined it in my blog here:

    I want to have the top horizontal navigation bar with different background colours for each tab on the bar.
    I don't want to change the background colour for the entire navigation bar.  How do I change them individually?
    thanks!

    Hi lorrscorpio,
    As far as I know it is difficult to change background color of top navigation link OOTB, better to create a html menu for that and add it to your page .In that you can easily change background color of your top navigation link.

    The background color of the navigational bar is coral....when I click on it, there are no options in the graphic inspector. Is there a work-around for this? I'd like it to be gray, or even white. Thank you.

    For most of the themes the background color of the navbar area is not a user defined item. However, with some java code in an HTML snippet you can change it. Put this code, with your selected color number, in an HTML snippet on the page:
    <!-- code by Wyodor -->
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function navBackgroundColor () {
    elem = parent.document.getElementById('nav_layer');
    elem.style.backgroundColor = "#5D68C3";
    clearInterval(chkNavLink);
    chkNavLink = setInterval('navBackgroundColor()', 500);
    // -->
    </script>
    An example of this can be see on this demo page: Change Navbar Text and Background Color.
