My podcast wont download to IPOD

My podcast are gone after upgrading. Same thing happened to my music but I was able to find the fix to restore. Now I'm re-subscribing but the podcast wont download to my IPOD. Has anyone else had this issue

I had the same problem and just figured it out today. The new podcast I subscribed to wasn't syncing to my iPod even though all episodes were checked in the Podcasts section of Library. All my other podcasts were syncing without a problem. When I connected my iPod to my laptop I selected the iPod under "Devices" and then selected the Podcasts tab at the top. There I noticed the new podcast had been added by default with the checkbox empty. Once I checked the box it synced to my iPod.

I have music video mpeg files that I can watch with iTunes and with real player but they wont download to iPod. Why? what can I do to resolve this?

Hi MandyD. They need to be converted to a format the iPod understands. The easiest way (but not the best quality) is to use iTunes to convert them. Make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes which is currently 6.02.
Select your file in the library, right click on it and select 'Convert Selection for iPod'.
There are better programs that will convert video for iPod with better quality results. If you need to know what they are, just do a quick search of the forum and you'll get a gizillion hits.
    Hope this helps.

  • Videos and podcasts wont download

I've downloaded Lost tv show from iTunes and some other podcasts too but they wont download onto my iPod nano no matter what I do everything else seems to be working please help me I'm going crazy. are the tv shows just something I have to watch on my computer or what?

TV shows and video podcasts won't display on the nano. To watch those you either need to use iTunes on your computer, or you need to get a video iPod.
Audio podcasts should work just fine on your nano.

  • First video podcast wont download

    Hi,
I have a podcast I have been running for a little over a year (audio, mp3). Today I released my first video from the feed. It shows up in the list but wont download from iTunes only. Using my browser direct to my feed and a test with doppler also pulled it down without issue.
The video is in mp4 format and I can view it locally in iTunes.
Totally stumped as to why that one episode wont load.
My feed is http://www.flaxpond.net/today/podcast/todayinvmk.rss if anyone would like to see it. (I know its ugly but it works USUALLY ROFL)
Or look for cowboy from iTunes (only video in the feed, released 11/15/07) from the today in vmk podcast.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

If everything else has worked for you, my first guess would be that the podtrack prepend is tripping iTunes up because it ends in ".mp3". I couldn't preview the file in the Store, and when I subscribed to the feed, it looked like the file downloaded, but then it would disappear (I can't even find it on my hard drive!). So, try changing/removing the podtrack prefix in your feed and see if it works. If it doesn't, I would recommend working on overhauling your feed, cause Validator says it is invalid.

  • Podcast wont load onto ipod!

i just started downloading podcasts, and now it wont go onto my ipod! what can i do?
i thinki have the newest versionof itunes

if you have an oldish (3G or earlier) iPod the podcasts might not sync, as if you try to upload video podcasts adn you don't have a video iPod. Some file types also won't work. Check to see that the podcast is compatible.

  • Videos wont download to ipod

HI I have downloaded some TV shows from Itunes and when I go to sync them to my iPod I get an error message saying the item can't be downloaded because the item can't be played in this iPod. I am not sure what is wrong. I have an Ipod Nano 4gb i think it is 2nd gen or maybe even 3rd. Please help

Read this article related to your issue.  You may be trying to sync the High Definition (HD) version of the TV Show to your device.  The iPod classic does not support HD content. You'll want to download the SD version instead.
iTunes: May be unable to transfer videos to iPhone, iPad, or iPod
To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available.  You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

  • Videos from itune wont download on ipod

    Hi,
I bought a video called "high school Musical" for my ipod. I also bought other music videos.
I have put music videos on my ipod but recently I let my brother use my ipod and when I got it back I restored it. I have never downloaded a movie on it before but I have donwloaded music videos but now neither will work.

First click on store at the top of itunes and then authorize computer. This makes sure that you computer is authorized to play and transfer what was purchased from the itunes store.
Then connect the ipod and choose the movies tab to the right at the top of the summary page and set the preferences to how you want to load them onto the ipod.
Here is a link from the apple website that will help you out.

  • ITunes video podcast wont download

Using the latest iTunes on WIn 7 and have three video podcasts which appear to download but when they complete they haven't downloaded and appear greyed out with an open circle on the left. Can anyone help please?

Yes, the file isn't where it's supposed to be, therefore it cannot be downloaded onto your computer.
This is a problem with the Podcast. Each episode is held on a server, the Podcast producers specify where the file is, and all iTunes does is list it according to the information supplied by the producer. (Neither Apple nor iTunes store the Podcast, they simply list it.) When you ask for it (either manually or via a subscription) iTunes asks the host server to download a copy to you. However, if the file is not actually stored where the Podcast's producers say they've put it, you get that message.
I suggest you contact the show's producers to let them know there is a problem. On the iTunes Store page for the Gadget Lab, you should see a link to "Website." Follow that and send them an email.
I've had this happen with Podcasts I'm subscribed to. Usually, all it needs is an email from someone to let them know, they correct the fault and hey presto, done!

  • Some Podcasts Wont Download (err -3259)

I download about 40 diff podcasts. Most podcasts download no problem. Others have to be paused/restarted 10-30 times to get it to download in 5MB chunks. It is usually the same podcast(s) that get the error.

    Hi kellydigital:
see my response to another thread about this; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2071360 and see the fifth post down which begins:

  • Podcast wont download in Podcast app

The podcast I upload to iTunes always generates an error message when I attempt to download in the Podcasts app. Downloads successfully in iTunes but not in the app. Ive had a friend tell me it will not download on his either, so I know the problem is not with my phone itself. Any ideas as to why this would be?

Ok I have no idea why, but a solution to dl this pod in your podcast app.
    1. open the Itunes-App on your Ipad, Iphone
    2. search for the podcast and press download on the episode
    3. Itunes redirect you to the podcast-app and the dl starts without any error message

  • Podcast wont play on iPod touch?

I publish our church podcast here http://web.me.com/timfischer1/Site_2/Podcast/Podcast.html
I bought a touch the other day and went here to see how well it worked. But to my surprise all I get on my touch is the QuicTime Q with a question mark over it. WHY? Don't tell me an APPLE iPod doesn't work with QuickTime

1 an audio podcast made in GarageBand. Then sent to iWeb then posted on a .me site.
    2 Safari.
What good would it do to post a site with a podcast made with all Apple equipment, all Apple software, hosted by Apple and not be able to play it on an Apple iPod Touch?
If it can not be played on the ipod touch using Safari, why doesn't Apple tell us how to get it to people using NOT a real FULL version of Safari that can't play Apples own QuickTime? That is crazy! I can view the site and play the podcast on my computer, on my laptop, even on my friends windows computers. But my APPLE iPod Touch can't play it!
