My time capsule loses connection to the internet after a short amount of time. It works for 1-2 minutes then stops, any suggestions?
I just replaced a generation 1 time capsule with the brand new 3TB TC version. I connected it and did all of the restarts and even called apple and spent over and hour and we simply couldnt figure it out. Right when the devices (modem and router) are done re-booting I receive green lights in airport utility on both the base stattion TC and the internet. The internet is screaming fast and I am able to go to new websites. Then after just a couple minutes (1-2) the internet light switches from green to amber and I drop my connection. I feel like I have tried everything but it keeps losing the connection. Any suggestions?
Exactly what modem are you using?
And what mode is the TC running in and how is it connected and what mode does it work in?

If you are having issues with the functions keys, then check the settings in System Preferences > Keyboard and look to see if Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys is unchecked so you can use it properly.

TS2972 the homesharing on my apple tv works for about 5 minutes then stops working
I had to have my the hard drive on my computer reformatted and then reload all the programs. Since then when I pull up pictures on my TV through Homesharing, it works for about 5 minutes and then disconnects. I have extended the time until the screen saver comes on and the time for the computer to go to sleep, but it does not seem to make any difference.
Any ideas?

For some odd reason, it seems my ethernet has not yet been installed to my operating system and I do not know how to do that even with the internet, I have the LAN cable hooked up to my computer but I do not know exactly what to do about it. Is there some sort of driver I need to install, or what? How do I do that without the internet?
This operating system is on a separate partition to my other operating system that is connected to internet already (Windows Vista Premium) that I do not wish to use anymore because of it's corruption. I tell you this because you may know a way of finding the driver files on my previous operating system that I may be able to transfer to the other.In order to avoid board clutter, we ask that you post your topic on one board only.

What internet type and modem do you have? Exact modem make and model may help.
Is the linksys router also the modem? You do know there is no modem in the TC?
How is the Linksys authenticating if it is plugged into the modem??
If cable did you shut down the cable modem for at least 20min to change the router.. this is always required with cable system.. often the time is longer.. one hour or overnight even. -
I am using several Macs running Yosemite. I was recently “upgraded” to Xfinity’s new cable modem which can support both 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz networks at the same time. Actually I can connect to the internet over both with a satisfactory bump in speed for the Ghz. However when I connect to the 5Ghz the Time capsule disappears from the Airport Utility and claims to be Not Found. Is there something I have done wrong or just a Yosemite Teething Problem
First restart your mac and try again.
It could be
that the router and the TC are interfering wirelessly with each other.
You can check this by pressing the option key while clicking on the wireless icon on your screen
Open Wireless Diagnostics
enter your user password
Press CMD 4 then Scan
You will see all the wireless channels being used in your location and you can check if they are on the same channel
Make the SSID for the TC simple like MyTC
Set 5Ghz to auto
Update the TC
Try again

hmm, well I would say that raises the possibility of an issue with your ipad, and lessens one with your router.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps.
