can any expert or from nokia comfirm please where this 0543843 product code manufacture region, i wanted to update my phone using nsu but i dont want to lost my language pack(chinese and english). please comfirm and tell us, there are many users waiting the answer from nokia officially. why nokia wanna keep this issue so secretly. Nokia should help his users and not confusing the users. many users still confusing about this. some rumours say is apac some say euro ... pls nokia development team, tell us.

Lost my preinstalled regional language pack on 623...

I'm a new member of this nokia forum and hope to find a solutions as for my stay.
I updated my nokia 6233 firmware which was preinstalled with English, French, Turkish, Spanish, Arabic, Urdo, and persian. After the software update, my phone now doesn't contain Arabic (which is my phone main language)or Urdo or Persian. Is there anyway to reinstall or re-update again in order to recover the language pack? Please i really need at least the Arabic Language! i'll be highly grateful !

Not surprised...Welcome to the club! Not Nokia club but bugs problems and rare solutions...I have the 5.43 software and it says that your code is: 0537451 05.43 RM-145 6233 EURO-C CTV GERMANY BLACK. So I am not sure about arabic language. If you have warranty you should go to service. If not I am sure you can find someone that reinstalls software. The problem with the web updater is that it does not work right. When they do it in the service or people with the right tools they do not update with the CA53 cable but with a different cable that really erases everything. This is the code that has arabic: 0535967 05.43 RM-145 6233 EURO-G CTV ME ARABIC BLACK. Hope it helps!

How to install language pack

I am user of N73(Music Edition).
Please help me where I can download language pack such as traditional/simplified Chinese.
I am from Myanmar, so there is no Nokia Care Point. So, please tell me where can I download them.

As you quite rightly point out, this is a very old thread.
Our current range of Lumia smartphones do indeed allow a much wider choice of languages, you are not limited to a pre-set regional selection.
Back in the days of the N73, about which this topic was started, phone software was less sophisiticated than it is now and the phone had to share limited memory and processing resources across a wide range of features and applications, which is why it was not previously possible to give such a wide choice.

Window 8.1 Chinese character cannot display properly in a game even though I have downloaded and install all chinese language packs

The operation system for my computer is Window 8.1. I am currently trying to install a chinese game. Even though I have downloaded and install all the chinese language pack, I have even set the regional language locale to chinese (similified / traditional),
the chinese characters will not display properly in the game. Some people told me i need to set the locale to Chinese PRC, but I am not sure where to download this PRC language pack for window 8.1 (as I only have chinese simplified and chinese traditional).
I would greatly appreciate if someone can give me a hand in solving this problem. Thank you for your help in advance.

Windows 8 installation failure with German language pack

Hi,
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E330 with Windows 8. We just received it over Xmas - nice product. Just one Thing so far: I can't get the German language pack installed. Language, Keyboard layout and other regional Settings are set to German. After downloading the German language pack through Language->German->options->Download and Install Language pack (German Language Pack - Windows 8 for x64-based Systems - (KB2607607) [de-DE_LP])I always run into the following error during the Installation (download seems to be fine, error happens after about 2/3 of the Installation - if you believe the Progress bar). From the Event Viewer:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070002: German Language Pack - Windows 8 for x64-based Systems - (KB2607607) [de-DE_LP].
I already tried quite some stuff without success: no pending Upgrades, several reboots, switching off Firewall/anti-Virus, selective reboot just with Winodws Services and Startup stuff, ... No success.
Does anybody have seen a similar Problem? Anybody with a solution to get the German language pack finally installed?

Prerequisites check error for English language pack

Hi All,
We are installing Diagnostics Agent on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.
While installing in prerequisites checker we are getting error about language pack.
The error log from sapinst_dev is as follows:

Language Pack not usable message in Windows 8.1

Hello, I have Asus X202E Vivobook bought with Windows 8 Japanese OS version. I had the OS switched to English. Yesterday
I installed Windows 8.1, I can see that the english language pack is still there in the system but it shows unavailable. I'm unable to switch the OS back to English or read anything as I do not know japanese.
I tried to install another english language display of English (UK) but it's just not working. So for example, if I open
my control panel, everything is in Japanese, whereas before the 8.1 update, I was able to view everything in English.
Could anyone suggest what I should do to switch to english?

I've done it. Since I know little about computers and even less the expressions used. I will try to explain step by step.
As I said in previous message, I couldn't do anything with EN (GB) language pack. At that point I had on the English language options - windows display language written something much longer than I saw on some guy's video on youtube
(showing just Japanese to English display language settings). I also had in previous response mentioned situation:
In advanced settings in language settings I set English as override
for windows display language, even though there was unavailable (使用不可) written
in the brackets. When I noticed, on another blog (with screen shots etc.), that the selection in the same settings
bar was: use language list (recommended).
I choose this one on my computer (I know a bit Chinese, and since the characters are
the same at least I could read the names of the countries, and chosen the one witch didn't mean a country and had sth written in the brackets). At
that time I again had in English language options - windows display language option to download and install it.
Which I did, and I got almost everything in English right away (without even restarting or signing out/in). Now when I go to English language options
- windows display language there is written: available.
Today (with English back) I set also the welcome screen and some other details, but there is one survival left and it's Language (言語)
title in the Control Panels Date, Language and Region. And he can stay :D
Even though I didn't get answer directly on the page, I've got it indirectly through writing posts and articulating the problem. So thank you and I hope that above explanation can
help somebody else too.

also chances are really high that you will lose your Danish language pack as those are installed per region. so your scandinavian pack will be replaced with one that have german in it. and yes it will cost you some change to do at the nokia care point as this is not a fault of the phone and/or nokia. its just your device was meant for another region. every time u update your firmware you will lose your german language pack as it will always default to the original one which in your case is danish

Cannot remove Korean Language Pack - Win 7 x64

I am trying to upgrade to Windows 8 (not Win 8.1 for my key is only for Win 8).
The problem is: I cannot proceed without removing all extra language packs.
I have an extra Korean language pack installed (the original is english-US).
I tried to uninstall by the UI, that is "Control Panel" > "Region and Language", etc...
And also tried via command prompt: "lpksetup /u ko-KR /s"
Does anyone knows who to delete / remove this language by other means?

N96 (UK) Russian Language pack required

hi there i have a N96 with standard western European languages (dictionaries) and need to comminucate by SMS regularly with Russian colleagues - is there way I can add this to my phone? Have updated to latest firmware but does not offer extra languages. I also called a local Nokia Care Centre and they couldn't help.

I am surprised the Nokia Care Point said they couldn't help.
The N96 comes with different language packs for the different regions. You can install a language pack which contains Russian on your phone. You can only have one language pack on your phone at a time but this should not be a problem as English is on all the language packs.
However, please note that the language pack on your phone will revert back to the default everytime you reinstall or update the firmware on your phone.
Language packs can only be installed by Nokia Care Points, so contact them again and tell them we told you so.

Will installing language packs impact server performance

Will Installing a language pack has HIT on Server Performance ?
I have servers in Japanese. But my support team is only English Capable.
Can I install English Language Pack on the server ? and Set Group policy for My support team or use Loopback processing specific to each server ?

How many servers do we have?
We can add other language packs on our servers. We can use the following command to add a language pack to the operating system.
Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\test\LangPacks\lp.cab

What do you mean by this?
If it means that we want to make users use specific language when they log onto the servers, we can try doing this by editing the following policy:
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Regional and Language Options
Enable
Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user and choose the language we want

This language package is not an executable program, it is added by a DISM command line as below:
On the running operating system, open an elevated command-line prompt.
Type the following command to add a language pack to the operating system.
Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\test\LangPacks\lp.cab
I suggest to add a language package at the control panel in this way:
Go to control panel, then select Clock Language and region like the screenshot below:
Then add a language:
Select the language package you want.

Language pack to nokia 5610 xpressmusic

i just wanted to know if there is any language pack of spanish to that cellphone
i have the pack of hebrew
If there is a pack this will take the hebrew??

language packs are preinstalled according to the countries/regions where the phone is intended to be sold, there is no method provided by Nokia for you to add these. You may be able to have a pack added at a Nokia service point, but they are not actually required to provide this service so they may not do.
