N96 Memory Card Assistance needed

Hi,
Can anyone give me the instructions how I can copy the data I have on 2gb memory card onto my n96 handset please.
My girlfriend is after the card but she can't have it until I transfer this data over.

sorry, I don't understand what do you want to do. Backup data from memcard or send them?
If you want to backup, there is a question, do you need them on your N96 or you want to store them just on your PC?
If you want to let some data on your phone, then go to Menu-tools-device manager-memcard. After highligting data you want to let, select in options move to and choose where.
You can do this after connection phone with your computer via USB cable or BT, or you can move it into your computer too. You should find your N96 device in windows explorer (first install Nokia PCSuite).
You can do the same by putting card in SD adapter in card slot in computer or in card reader and connect it with computer.
After all of this, format memory card. It empties and ereases all data. Your girl will have clean and ready to use memory card.

Hi, I am trying to transfer music via Nokia PC Suite and it telling my my menory is full as it is reading from the installed memory card. How can I get it to automatically transfer to the phone memory??. Will I have to transfer everything from my memory card to the phone memory and if so how??

When your phone is connected to PC Suite, go to Nokia Music Manager and select:
1. Options
2. Settings
3. Click on your N96 tab
4. Path to music file (or something along that line) will be set to E:/Music or E:/Sounds (something like that)...
5. Change it to the c drive or wherever your phone's drive is and the folder you want the songs moved to.
No, you don't have to transfer everything to your phone memory. Your phone's music player is capable of checking both phone and memory card for song files.
Your gallery will put all your songs in one folder as well, regardless of location.
From time to time, I suggest you check your available memory (menu > options > Memory details > phone memory and also check your memory card) just to see how much space is available.

HELP! Final Cut 4, graphics card assistance needed...

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro that I bought in August, and I recently tried to install Final Cut Pro 4... everything was successful except it tells me there is a "Configuration Error" and "this software requires certain hardware or software which is missing: AGP Graphics Card" ... What can I do to make it so it works? Is there a way without installing that graphics card? Pleas help!

N96 Phone Memory to Memory Card

Hi,
I just got my N96 and my pc is really **bleep** and slow so thought i'd bluetooth my main stuff from one phone to the other. After about 15 songs my N96 says 'memory full please delete some files'. So all i'm really asking is how do i transfer stuff from my phone memory onto my memory card?
If anyone could help me then i'll be very grateful

Incoming files over bluetooth count as messages, so you're filling up the memory devoted to messaging. By default, this is the phone's internal memory (C: drive) on which there's only about 50MB free.
Once you've transferred stuff by bluetooth, save it to the phone's mass memory (E: drive) and then delete the message in your inbox to free up the memory it's using.
As for the clock problem, what do you mean by "How do i get the clock to show on the main screen"? It shows whenever the screen is backlit. If you want it to show even when the screen is in power-saving mode then you'll need 3rd party software such as "cclock" (search for it on google), but beware that your battery life will take a nosedive.

Memory Card Game Help Needed

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to create a memory card game although I can't figure out where I am going wrong!! Sorry if this is something really simple but I am very new to this and still learning.
The cards are coming up as a 'matching' pair even when they are different. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance! :-)

N96 copy contacts to Memory Card

Does anyone know how to copy your contact to the MMC Memory card or internal mass memory (not sim card) on the N96 like you can do on the N95.
I go into contacts and mark all then goto copy but the only option I have on the N96 is copy to sim. My old N95 gave me the option to copy to memory card

So basically it's very similar to the N95...
Where you enter the contacts section, press the options at the bottom left of the display and scroll down to select Mark/Unmark and go right via the right centre button to open the drop down box selecting mark all. Which places a tick next to each contact. Then press options again scvrolling down to copy, then across to the right to memory card. then select yes at the prompt
But in the N96 you select copy business card to other memory. The N95 also copies the contacts as these same types of files (VCF).
what would be interesting to find out is the N96 vcf format is the same and compatible with the N95. Bearing in mind that a contact saved as a vcf file from the N95 when read in widows pc is not forced to see all the data available to be viewd on the N95. Moreover and this is bad coding from Nokia themselves their own software suite is unable to fully read the N95 VCF files that you might back up. Thus be warned that the only sure fire way to restore contact data fully is to back up to mass memory then import from those said files directly with the phone.
If you use the nokia suite to back up and restore or outlook there is a very good chance that you may lose some contact data in the process, especially where you have multiple numbers applied to a single contact. This is due to the way the vcf files are read.

N96 tip (memory card)

If you are going to put a memory card into N96 it would be good to format it before putting it to N96 specially if you used this card with another phone.
The reason is that it may have incompatible data that may cause slow downs or other problems.

Sorry more details:
Start from a "clean" memory card. Don't use the same memory card in several phones as installations and other files are incompatible
ALSO
FORMAT the memory card with the phone. Even if the card comes pre-formatted when New.
If you do this two simple steps (and follow the advise about waitning until the data is index) you will have a better experience.
lastly...
REMEMBER to Stop the memory card before you get it out of the N96. Lightly press the ON button and select Remove F: memory card. Failure to do so may cause corruption to the indexes (databases).

6500 Memory Card needs formatting?

Just got a 6500 and it will read the memory card but I can't do anything with it because it needs formatting. How is this done?

you are looking for somethign that is called a file manager. you might either have it in settings or in apps. select that and it should list your memory card as well as your phone memory. if you select the memory card it should give you in options option to format memory card and also give it another name if you chose to .

Need Help! Dell poweredge T630 cannot reboot after trying to add new memory card

What errors are you seeing on the screen?

hi, can any one please advise what should I do for my server? Dell poweredge T630 cannot reboot after trying to add new memory card. Even I remove the newly added memory card and only keep the original one there, it still cannot reboot. Before I try to add the memory card, it works well without any rebooting issues.

I connected my phone to my laptop to watch a video off my phone but when I disconnected it all my file disappeared. So I thought, "great my memory card has been formatted." I just knew that it meant starting over. Every time I download something, it says 'saved' but it doesn't display on my phone.

Nokia, the memory card needs moving

why put the memory card under the battery? if i want to take it out to stick some data on using the readers that come as standard on many pc's now, i can't. i will have to reprogram the time and date and deal with the phones covers. The cards of very limited use, and might aswell not be removeable.

The 6230i is an old phone and was one of the first series 40 phones to feature a memory card.
Most newer nokia's memory cards can be changed without removing the battery. Some lower end phones (7373) still have the slot under the battery.
