NAM-2 6500 - Data Exporting/ Query

I am setting up reporting from our NAM devices, but I am wondering is there a way to exort csv on schedule in a later version? we are running 3.1 for the time being, and I am exporting 15 min interval data to csv then importing into sql database so that I can circulate reports via SQL reporting services.
1. Is there any way to automtae this, expecially collecting and aggregating data from several NAM instances?
2. Can this be added in the future? This seems to be a serious flaw in the reporting and combining of results, from a DBA background this is essential for holistic reporting of network stats..
3. Can you query the NAM database directly?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
M

If you are running an older version of NAM that is 3.1, it's end of support and end of life. You should consider upgrading to NAM 4.1 to see if all new features address your concerns.

  • Data export query

    When I export data from the database there are old records of PCs that are
    no longer connected to the network included in the data. How do I clear
    out records more than say 3 months old. Thanks for any replies.

    Thank you.

  • Export query result to csv using Export Wizard

    Been a decade since I last used Oracle and related tools.
    I had to use Oracle server again, I have a query over multiple tables, I am to run a scheduled script that will spit out the query result as a csv file.
    I started with SQL Developer Export wizard, in step "Specify Data", I am at a loss, where to specify the query itself? I see a Name,Schema,Type input, a text area below, Up,UpAll,Down,DownAll buttons etc etc. Where do I specify my query here? Can someone please help?
    Is this the best way to go about to schedule a data export (query to csv) daily?

    To export a user query rather than a whole table, run it in a worksheet and export using the context menu on the result grid. However none can be scheduled.
    Instead you can look at the SPOOL command and schedule it through SQL*Plus. Any questions can go to the iSQL*Plus and/or SQL And PL/SQL forum.
    Have fun,
    K.

  • Exporting File Name to "Raw Data" Metadata

    At one time I was able to export a file's original file name in the "Raw Data" area of the metadata. I seem to have lost that ability in LR 4. I find this useful when a client renames a file and then wants me to find the original. I would open the file in Photoshop (or even a word processor) and the original name would be in the Raw Data area in File Info.
    When LR 4 imports the file the first time, it apparently still creates the xmp file with the file name at the end of <rdf:Description rdf:about="" field and it looks like:  crs:RawFileName="_DSC6501.NEF">
    At one time Lightroom exported that info. But now I seem to have lost that file name info, even with "Export All Metadata" selected.
    This is how it would look in Photoshop's File Info:
    <rdf:Description rdf:about=""
                xmlns:crs="http://ns.adobe.com/camera-raw-settings/1.0/">
             <crs:RawFileName>DSC_8466.NEF</crs:RawFileName>
             <crs:Version>6.7</crs:Version>
             <crs:ProcessVersion>5.7</crs:ProcessVersion>
    Now it just says:
    <rdf:Description rdf:about=""
                xmlns:crs="http://ns.adobe.com/camera-raw-settings/1.0/">
             <crs:Version>7.0</crs:Version>
             <crs:ProcessVersion>6.7</crs:ProcessVersion>
    What am I missing?
    Thanks!
    Stan

    Hi John, Thanks for your reply. I actually use Metadata Wrangler, but there is no "copy original file name into metadata" switch that I can see. And when you ask it to export all metadata, it actually doesn't.
    After several hours of testing I've found the culprit. Lightroom does not export all the metadata if you save it to a JPEG file, even if you tell it to. Neither does Photoshop's "Save for Web" even if you tell it to save all metadata. Both lose the field with the original file name (see my first post above).
    But if you export the file to Photoshop using the "CMD + E" command, Photoshop gets all the metadata.  If you then "Save As" a JPEG, the original file name travels to the newly created JPEG file.  It's there in the metadata. If you then do the same thing with "Save for Web" with "metadata" "all" you lose the file name field.
    So since you are asking all these programs to "save all metadata" and they don't, I would consider that a bug.
    Wouldn't you?

  • NAM data export using NDE

    Hi,
    Can some one help me in providing an example for all type of data collected by NAM using NDE export feature.
    As per NAM's guide, NAM export following type of data.
    Host
    Application
    Client Server Application
    Application conversation
    Network conversation
    RTP Metrics
    I just wanted to check all the data exported by NAM. An example for each type host,application etc.
    Thanks,
    Parul

    Hi,
    You can't exclude dimensions while taking a data export.Even if you don't specify a dimension in a fix statement then
    it will export all the blocks related to the missing dimension(level 0 and upper level blocks)
    @REMOVE will not remove the Dimension members from a FIX statement but it will remove the subset of the members fixed for a particular dimension.
    EG: FIX(@REMOVE(@RELATIVE("Entity",0),"E1","E2")) where E1 and E2 are again level 0 members which you are fixing in the FIX statement. Here E1, and E2 will not be considered for any calculation or in your case for the export.
    If you want to load the export from this cube to any other cube with less no. of dimensions than the current cube, you can use the load rules to load the data in the other cube by ignoring the columns corresponding to the dimension which are not there in the target cube.
    Thanks,
    CM

  • Query in File to File Data Export

    Hi,
    I have done a project for file to file data export using this link below:
    http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/odi/odi_11g/odi_project_ff-to-ff/odi_project_flatfile-to-flatfile.htm
    My project works fine.Here the source file is in local m/c(C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\demo\file ).
    1)What shall I do if the source file is in a remote m/c(says its' ip is 172.22.18.90)?
    2)will it cause any problem if the remote m/c's os is unix
    Thanks
    Papai
    NB:-My m/c's OS is windows 7.

    If you can access the other machine like a share folder then provide the same path in physical schema like \\my_other_pc_on_shared\new_folder
    If you cannot access like that then create one agent on that machine which can access the path and execute your project using the agent.
    Thanks

  • EXPORT 시 QUERY OPTION에 대한 사용 예(ORACLE 8I 이상)

    EXPORT 시 QUERY OPTION에 대한 사용 예(ORACLE 8I 이상)
    ============================================
    PURPOSE
    ============
    oracle 8i에서 export 시 query option에 대한 사용 예
    8i에서 export의 query syntax 를 이용하여 table data의 한 부분만 exporting 이 가능
    - 8i 에서 select 문장의 where 절을 사용하는 것처럼 export 시에 부분적으로 table data 를 받아 낼수 있는 기능을 소개 한다.
    - Direct 옵션은 사용될 수 없다..
    - where 절에 해당하는 export utility는 query parameter 를 사용한다.
    UNIX syntax:
    - Example:
    1.SCOTT.Emp table의 ename 이 JAME과 비슷한 이름의 data 를 export ..
    exp scott/tiger query=\"where ename like \'JAME%\'\" tables=emp file=exp.dmp log=exp.log
    2. employee와 cust table에서 new york 주의 data 만 export ..
    exp scott/tiger query=\"where st=\'NY\'\" tables=(employee,cust) file=exp.dmp log=exp.log
    query 문장에서 UNIX reserved characters( ", ', ,< .. 등) 를 사용하는 경우에는 escape ('\') 을 반드시 사용해야 한다.
    예)query=\"where JOB = \'SALESMAN\' and salary \< 1600\"
    더 중요한 것은 command line에서 export option을 사용할때는 반드시 escape 이 있어야 하나
    parfile을 사용할때는 eacape이 불필요하다.
    예를 보면 .. p라는 이름의 file을 다음과 같이 생성
    tables=emp query="where job='SALESMAN'"
    parfile을 이용해서 export 를 실행해 보면
    [rmtdchp6]/apac/rdbms/64bit/app/oracle/product/9.2.0> exp scott/tiger parfile=p
    Export: Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production on Wed Mar 17 00:12:34 2004
    Copyright (c) 1982, 2002, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
    With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options
    JServer Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production
    Export done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
    server uses KO16KSC5601 character set (possible charset conversion)
    About to export specified tables via Conventional Path ...
    . . exporting table EMP 4 rows exported
    와 같이 정상 처리 됨을 알수 있다.
    만일 command line에서 위의 내용을 실행하게 되면 다음과 같이 error 를 만난다.
    exp scott/tiger tables=emp query="where job='SALESMAN'"
    LRM-00101: unknown parameter name 'job'
    EXP-00019: failed to process parameters, type 'EXP HELP=Y' for help
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
    command line에는 query 내에 single(')나 double quotes(") 를 사용한다면 반드시 double quotes(") 를 사용하여
    query 문을 묶어야 한다.그러나 query 내에서 single ('')나 double quotes(") 를 사용하지 않는다면 single quotes (')을 사용하여
    query 문을 수행할 수도 있다..
    다음 예를 보면..
    1>exp scott/tiger tables=emp query=\'where deptno=20\'
    Export: Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production on Wed Mar 17 00:22:00 2004
    Copyright (c) 1982, 2002, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
    With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options
    JServer Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production
    Export done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
    server uses KO16KSC5601 character set (possible charset conversion)
    About to export specified tables via Conventional Path ...
    . . exporting table EMP 4 rows exported
    2>exp scott/tiger tables=emp query=\'where job=\'SALESMAN\'\'
    LRM-00112: multiple values not allowed for parameter 'query'
    EXP-00019: failed to process parameters, type 'EXP HELP=Y' for help
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
    즉.. 정리를 하자면
    command line에서 query 내에 '," 을사용하지 않는 다면 '나 " 으로 query option을 사용할수 있다
    query=\'where deptno = 20\'
    query=\"where deptno = 20\"
    query=\'where deptno \< 2\'
    (이 경우 single 이나 double quotes 을 둘다 사용할수 있다.)
    parfile을 사용하는 경우에는 다음과 같이 단순하게 사용이 가능하다.
    query='where deptno = 20'
    query="where deptno = 20"
    query='where deptno < 20'
    WINDOWS NT / 2000 와 NETWARE syntax:
    다음의 자료를 참조바란다.
    Example:
    EXP demo/demo tables=emp file=exp1.dmp query="""where deptno>30"""
    double quotes(") 를 둘러 싸는 경우에는 space 가있으면 안된다.
    parfile의 사용은 다음과 같이 하시면 됩니다.
    file=exp66.dmp
    query="where deptno > 20"
    tables=(emp)
    log=log66.txt
    userid=scott/tiger
    Explanation
    Windows NT or Win2000의 경우 command line에서는 3 double quotes 이 필요하고
    'PARFILE 을 사용하는 경우에는 double quotes(") 한번만 필요함

  • Data Export Error

    We recently performed an upgrade to 11.5.10 and are experiencing issues in the Purchasing module. The problem we're having occurs when trying to do a data export of our position hierarchy. I have no problems defining or setting up the hierarchy however, when I click Tools >> Export Data, I am recieving the error message below. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    **************************** Error Message **************************************
    APP-PER-289792: Before you can run a mail merge or data extraction from this window, your system administrator must define a Web ADI integrator and associate it with the window. There are currently no integrators associated with this window.
    *************************** End Error Message *********************************

    hi for downloading the Data In addition to the web ADI function you need to associate that Position hierarchy Form to the Web ADI Integrator
    Please find the sample setup steps which I did for other forms..you can try out the same for your requirmeent too
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    From your Web ADI responsibility , choose Create Document.
    Select your chosen Viewer. i.e. Excel XP. DO NOT tick the Reporting checkbox because you will be uploading a new integrator definition to the database. Click on Next button.
    Choose HR Integrator Setup integrator. Click on Next button.
    Choose default Layout, Integrator Setup. Click on Next button.
    Choose None for Content to open empty document. Click on Next button.
    On Document Creation Review page, Click on Create Document button. Open file and Enable Macros if prompted. A Processing window will open and a Confirmation window will advise when document has been created.
    In the blank spreadsheet enter a value for each of the columns as follows.
    Upl - ignore
    Metadata Type - select List of Values from Oracle menu
    or right click on mouse.Choose UPDATE
    Application Short Name- Choose your Application Short Name
    (see Getting Started)
    Integrator User Name - Enter a name for your integrator
    (eg Update Asg Details)
    View Name - Create your own view, but must include
    object_version_number from
    per_all_assignments_f. See Getting
    Started.
    Form Name - GENERAL
    API Package Name - HR_ASSIGNMENT_API
    API Procedure Name - UPDATE_EMP_ASG_CRITERIA
    Interface User Name - Enter a unique name
    Interface Param List - Enter a unique name
    API Type - select List of Values from Oracle menu
    or right click on mouse.Choose PROCEDURE
    API Return Type - ignore
    Upload by going to Oracle menu on spreadsheet toolbar, and select Upload. If during upload, you get the error PER_289866_ADI_CONT_COL_FAIL , it means the view you specified above does not exist in the APPS schema.
    create a new form function, or use an existing one for this integrator, and add it to the menu where you will be running the integrator from.
    Associate the function with your new integrator by following step 10 and 11 in previous example.
    These are the three Input parameters from the API which don’t have defaults. In other words they are mandatory input parameters for the call to the API to be successful. The first two should be placed in the Header section, whilst the assignment_id can be a line item.
    You can then choose the optional fields you wish to see in the spreadsheet.. Save Layout by pressing Apply button.
    Run integrator from HRMS Create Document. In Select Content Parameters page, you are asked to enter Session Date and an optional Extra where clause to restrict the query. N.B. The view can also be set up to restrict the data downloaded. Continue and Create Document.
    Enter Header fields, EFFECTIVE_DATE and DATETRACK_UPDATE_MODE. i.e. UPDATE or CORRECTION. Then make changes to individual lines which will flag each row for update.
    Upload by going to Oracle menu on spreadsheet toolbar, and select Upload
    ..Now try to click the Export button in the position hierarchy form..this will help to resolve your issue

  • Export query results to flat file with dynamic filename

    Hi
    Can anybody can point me how to dynamic export query serults set to for example txt file using process flows in OWB.
    Let say I have simple select query
    select * from table1 where daterange >= sysdate -1 and daterange < sysdate
    so query results will be different every day because daterange will be different. Also I would like to name txt file dynamicly as well
    eg. results_20090601.txt, results_20090602.txt, results_20090603.txt
    I cant see any activity in process editor to enter custom sql statment, like it is in MSSQL 2000 or 2005
    thanks in advance

    You can call existing procedures from a process flow the procedure can create the filename with whatever name you desire. OWB maps with file as target can also create a file with a dynamic name defined by an expression (see here ).
    Cheers

  • Is it possible to propose another default file name in ALV Excel Export?

    Hello All,
    I have a problem while exporting to Excel from the WD ALV. The whole process works fine, the problem occurs when the user wants to open (without saving) multiple exported Excel documents at the same time. In this case he gets an error message, that the document with the same name has already been opened.
    Therefore I have a question, is it possible to customize default file name, so that instead of 'export.xlsx' the file name will contain e.g. WD title&time (or something like that)?
    Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,
    It's the standard functionality. You actually have to enhance the standard method, which is not advisable as the same will be called in other applications as well.
    So, Instead of that, hide the standard Export functionality and create a new Tool bar button, say, 'Export to Excel' and in on action of that button, use cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response ( and pass the file name by concatenating date/time) method to open/save the file.
    Check this document to create a custom button in ALV tool bar: Creating Self-Defined Functions in WDA ALV
    And, check this blog by Chris for code reference to have Export to Excel functionality: Using WD ABAP ALV export - the hacked way
    Hope this helps u,
    Regards,

  • Certificate Name and Expirty Date is not saved in Certificate Manager

    The following scenario is happening for few cases:
    * Firefox shows "Add Exception" for the certificate
    * The certificate is added as permanent exception.
    * Go to Firefox -> Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> View Certificates
    * Go to Servers Tab
    * The certificates which I had stored, doesn't show the certificate name and expiry date. For certificate name it shows <Not Stored>, and for expiry date it is empty.
    * Also, when I select it, Export, View is all disabled. Only "Import", "Delete" and "Add Exception" is enabled.
    * If I click on "Add exception" again, it says it is verified as it is already there in database.
    * However, if I add it as "Temporary", then everything "Name, Expiry Date" is saved.
    Is it a known issue in Firefox or am I Missing something. Please confirm and let me know.

    Hi Gabriele,
    The issue is that the ReadXml method takes an index parameter which is the number of the object that you want to read from the XML data. In your code you are specifying index 0 which is the first product tree in your file so when you call the Update method this is the only record that will be updated. It is not possible to do a mass update using the DI API in this way, you must always load each object separately. You can use the GetXMLelementCount method of the Company object to find out how many product tree objects are in your file and then use the ReadXML method to load each one by incrementing the index parameter in a loop.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen
