Naming of infosource- prefix 8

What is the significance of 8 as a prefix to infosource's technical name, apart from just a naming convention?
I searched a lot but couldn't get the answer...

Hi,
     When the data flows within BW, say from ODS to ODS or ODS to Cube, the Infosource gets the name of the source ODS with prefix 8.
For Ex, consider the data flow.
ODS1 --> ODS2 ---> Cube1
The infosource name for ODS2 will 8ODS1
Similarly, the infosource name for Cube1 will 8ODS2.
These are called as Generated Objects ( Data Marts )
All the fields will be automatically mapped, unless you want some routine instead of Direct Mapping.

  • Change prefix of namespace to ns3 from ns1 WS Req

    Hi,
    We have the below scenario: IDoc  --> Web Service (Sync back to a file). Whole scenario works fine, but WS provider came back said that we need to change namespace prefix WS request to ns3 from ns1. I believe, PI adds by defaukt ns1 as prefix to the namespace. What is the best possible way to just change the prefix of namespace? We are using XSD and WSDL, not data type/message type.
    Your help is appreciated.

    > Thanks, we can always count on you. I am not sure why they are requesting us to change the prefix to ns3. I know its not a technical question, but what is the best way to convince them or show evidence that we dont require to change it?
    Maybe you ask them, why they want to change the prefix. I have heard about some specific prefixes where parsers insist on, like pidx, but I never heard this for ns3.
    For is the specification for namespaces, you can see that there is nothing mentioned about the naming of the prefixes. The prefix just connect the namespaces to the XML elements and nodes.
    http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/#scoping-defaulting
    > Another case, if they insist on change, how could we achieve it? I mean does the XML Anomylize bean work?
    Yes, it will work.

  • Setting PREFIX for DIMENSION_TABLE using OMB Scripting

    I'm trying all day to find a way to set PREFIX for DIMENSION_TABLE
    using OMB script without success and I'm a little confused now.
    First of all Scripting Reference does not mention about PREFIX
    property so maybe there is no way to achieve what I want. Consequently
    it would mean that GUI interface is "stronger" than OMB Scripting.
    Secondly I don't understand why when I issue following command in OMB
    Plus:
    OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'DIMENSION_TABLE' GET PROPERTY_DEFINITIONS
    I get nothing (empty output, no errors) and when I execute:
    OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'DIMENSION_TABLE' GET PROPERTIES
    (STEREOTYPE, IS_ABSTRACT, DESCRIPTION)
    I get:
    class false {}
    First result suggests that there are no properties for DIMENSION_TABLE
    and second proves that there are at least three.
    Is there some type/properties inheritance here?
    Can someone explain me this and tell how can I:
    1. find all valid types (I would like to set prefix for LEVEL,
    LEVEL_ATTRIBUTE, etc. too)
    2. find all properties for these types
    regards
    Tomasz Gajewski

    You misunderstood me. I don't want to rename DIMENSION_TABLE. When creating DIMENSION_TABLE with gui I set NAME and PREFIX for each DIMENSION_TABLE and LEVEL.
    PREFIX for level is used later during deploy to distinguish attributes from different levels.
    Example. If I have a level named LEVEL_NAME with prefix LN and an attribute of it named ID than table generated for this contains column LN_ID.
    When I create DIMENSION_TABLE using OMB Script prefix is set same as name (default behaviour that I can't change) and it is to long to use.
    Scripting Reference doesn't mention about PREFIX property. Should I assume that the only way to change these values are through OWB GUI?

  • Get Javascript Value in a JSP page

    Let's say this is my javascript function in a html page
    .<head>
    <!-- Function getFields -->
    function getFields(){
    if (row >= 0){
    for(var i=0; i<costForm.elements.length; i++){
    if(costForm.elements.type == "text" || costForm.elements[i].type == "hidden"){
    dynTableFields[i] = (costForm.elements[i].value)? costForm.elements[i].value : "";
    if(costForm.elements[i].type == "select-one"){
    dynTableFields[i] = costForm.elements[i].selectedIndex;
    </head>
    How do i get the costForm.elements.length value in another jsp page. Coz the html page has dynamic rows by the users. and i need the values in the jsp page to know how many rows the user created.
    using normal request.getParameter("costForm.elements.length") doesn't work

    request.getParameter() will only get data that's been submitted thru a form or the query string of a URL. You'd have to record the length in a hidden field to read it on the back end, and then you can't just loop thru the fields like that in JSP on the server anyway, unless you have all fields named with a prefix and number, like: field1, field2, field3, etc.

  • [SOLVED] can't compile grass "Unable to locate includes."

    Hello everybody!
    I am somewhat stuck at getting QGIS up and running as I am not able to compile grass (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/grass/).
    System is up-to-date Arch64 running 3.8.6-3-ck. I used cower to get the source-files and PKGBUILD from AUR.
    makepkg is throwing:
    checking for curses.h... no
    configure: error: *** Unable to locate curses includes.
    curses is of course installed and in /usr/include where it is supposed to be. After unsuccessfully fiddling around for a while I disabled curses-support in the PKGBUILD file (--without-curses) which got me as far as the zlib includes:
    checking for zlib.h... no
    configure: error: *** Unable to locate zlib includes.
    Trying grass7svn got me stuck with the same problems.
    If anyone could point me into a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
    Many thanks in advance!

    Thanks brebs, I will look into that tomorrow!
    Funny enough I got grass to get through "./configure" manually with the exact same settings from the PKGBUILD, namely:
    ./configure --prefix=/opt --enable-64bit --enable-W11 --with-jpg --with-tiff --with-png --with-tcltk --with-opengl --with-fftw --with-postgres --with-freetype --with-freetype-includes=/usr/include/freetype2 --without-glw --with-nls --with-gdal --with-geos --with-proj-includes=/usr/include --with-proj-libs=/usr/lib --with-proj-share=/usr/share/proj --with-python=/usr/bin/python2-config --with-wxwidgets=/usr/bin/wx-config
    Ran through makepkg, which - as far as I understand from the PKGBUILD - does exactly the same, it throws up aforementioned configure-errors.
    I eventually ran ./configure and make, went back to the PKGBUILD, removed the build()-section and used makepkg just to turn the compiled source code into a pkg-file. It installed without a problem, will see if it works once qgis finished compiling.
    Anyway, I'd really like to understand what is the problem..

  • Error in proxy communication with BI (special characters in fieldnames)

    Hi experts,
    We are on our way to create some interfaces between PI 7.1 and BI 7.0.
    These interfaces will communicate each system by means of ABAP proxies.
    In BI side, in order to operate with the most up-to-date information,
    we are using APD (Analysis Process Designer). It consists of a query
    execution that at last inserts data into a DSO. This DSO is a table the
    system creates, its fields are named with the prefix /bic/ and that is
    the problem. BI team tried not to use it but with no success, this
    prefix seems to be mandatory when working this way. Currently, RFC
    communication is used, that is Outbound RFCs come along with DSO tables
    and thus, data acquisition and assigning is done inmediately. Problem
    is that we want to move to proxies without losing this benefit. That is
    the clue.
    So, back again in PI, once we try to create all the necessary stuff for
    ABAP proxies, the system prevents us from creating the Data Type for
    fieldnames starting with '/' so we cannot create the Service Interface
    and so the proxy.
    Error message looks like:
    Value "/" is not allowed for the attribute "name" of type "NCName" in
    element
    Besides, we have tried to use the RFC metadata as a service interface
    but it didnt work out, because '/' characters in BI were represented
    by '-_' once we imported this metadata.
    Basically, this is the problem we are facing right now. We know that
    ABAP proxy is one of the best practises in terms of communication
    between WAS servers and due to this, we think we might be missing
    something in between.
    Is there a way to work with ABAP proxies and this BI internal
    fieldnames without having to reassign fields before calling the Proxy
    methods and classes in BI?
    Could you please help us on this issue?
    Thanks a lot in advance and best regards,
    David

  • File Name Changes, Sorting Problem

    Hi,
    iTunes 10.5.1
    MacBook Pro Snow Leopard
    I am attempting to add a series of lectures to iTunes. These number about 100 and are sequential over 3 volumes. I obtained them in simple forlders labeled vol1, vol2 and vol3 and each track is named with a prefix such as "V1 Ch03 Relation of Physics to other Sciences.mp3". Oddly about half actually retain the full name and sort out properly but the rest do not. For instance the example in question becomes " Relation of Physics to other Sciences.mp3" and not sorting tricks can get them in order.
    Before I starting fooling with the names is there somethign else I can do? I have turned off "automatically check for track names" option on iTunes but the same result. Are the spaces causing problems? I don't want to change the names as I would like to share these and others won't figure out the sequence.
    There doesn't seem to be an option for date created sorting which may solve the issue. Also iTunes seems to be reading some meta data as the "album name" changes. It seems the lectures were originally released in a different series and recently compiled in the order created, the latter being preferrable.
    Any help appreciated!
    Happy Holidays!
    Warren

  • Rename files and move them into new folders with part of original file name

    I have tried using automator and other programs such as name Name Mangler with no luck.
    I am trying to have an AppleScript run when files are added to a folder, using a service through Automator.
    File names come in 9 different suffixes, all with the same prefix.
    Example:
    nonspecificprefixSUFFIX
    nonspecificprefixOTHERSUFFIX
    nonspecificprefixALSOSUFFIX
    I am trying to get the program to create a folder named after the prefix, then to remove the prefix from the files after moving them into this folder.
    There are 9 different suffixes that should remained unchanged.
    End goal would be to have child folders named nonspecificprefix, nonspecificprefix2 etc each with 9 files only containing the suffix portion of original name.
    If anyone has any tips to get me on the right path that would be much appreciated! I have thousands of files to rename and move so this would save me loads of time!

    Erwin,
    I was not able to systematically examine this issue, because it occurred on a production system and, of course, I uninstalled the Adobe iFilters as soon as I read that they may delete pdf files. Before the uninstallation I noticed the AR9 folders appearing on c:\ and moved them from time to time to another folder. Using the search function inside this folder, I found that all files were present in duplicate at least. I concluded, that after moving the AR9 folders they were recreated containing the same files. Consequently, these files cannot have been deleted. Searching for the origin of these files I found that they were part of pdf portfolios, therefore my conclusion that they are part of the indexing mechanism of the portfolios. What I have not done (and what I am not going to do since it is a production system) is to fill a folder with pdfs and track what is happening to the files.
    In case of my server, I think that the iFilters did not delete any files. Of course I cannot say what happens on other systems. I am definitely not going to reinstall the iFilters before knowing what they a really doing to the files.
    Not sure if this is of much help

  • XCode: how to add bison (yacc) "-p foo" for a SINGLE .ym file?

    I have two pairs of tokenizers (.lm) and parsers (.ym) I want to use in pairs.
    How do i add the -p "foo" option for a single file? And "-P foo" for (f)lex?
    (I can add options at the target level, that much I know...)

    Thanks.
    For some reason, the "build" pane is not present in a framework target. I had to move the .ym and .lm files to my Application target before it became visible.
    Another funny thing XCode does with the extra yacc or lex parameters is to pass them on to gcc when compiling the generated c file. So you also have to create empty files named for each prefix, or the compiler will choke.

  • Patching will affect custom reports in APPL_TOP

    Dear All,
    Currently we were in ATG RUP2
    If we upgrade the patch level to ATG RUP7 in Applications (11.5.10.2), what and all will be affected?
    We have custom reports in the application tops (identified with custom naming convention XX prefixed, and personalizations in the forms.
    Will these be affected by this patching?

    Hi santrak;
    Sorry Helios..!Its okey :)
    Its ATG RUP2 to ATG RUP7
    We have custom reports in the application tops (identified with custom naming convention XX prefixed, and personalizations in the forms.
    Will these be affected by this patching?I belive your costum reports will not affected if you doesnt related wiht any other standart reports,forms etc.:, because while you are goinf RUP it will change many thing in your EBS, if you have some customizing on standart EBS forms etc, the new patch RUP 7 can make them breakdown, its a possibility
    Thatswhy i strongly suggest just test this patch upgrade on TEST instance then do it to PROD system. We had some issue before, we rised rup2 to rup 7 and our functional colluage didnt test verywell and our client losed 2 days!
    Hope it helps

  • Difficult ClassLoader problems with multiple deployed enterprise Apps

    Greetings!
    When multiple instances of an enterprise application are deployed, ClassLoader issues are causing ClassCast Exceptions in the instantiation of Stateless SessionBeans. These ClassCast Exceptions are causing the Stateless Session beans to not be created appropriately/correctly, and in turn there is an InvocationTargetException resulting in an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error (mapped to a custom handler).
    The setup is SJSAS2005Q2, JDK 1.5, MySQL 5.0, Linux (RedHat 9, and Debian 3.0/3.1)
    Below is a typical example:
    Exception creating stateless session bean : [{0}]java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
    <<long stack Trace omitted>>
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: $Proxy111     at com.acjust.ecommerce.ejb.preferences.PreferenceManagerBean.ejbCreate(PreferenceManagerBean.java:354)     ... 67 moreHere is the code from PreferenceManagerBean, the offending line is the (first one) that does a lookup on PreferencesBean and casts the result. This is a SessionFacade (there are many others) and they all (may) exhibit this behavior when there are multiple enterprise apps running.
        public void ejbCreate() {
             LookupServiceHelper lookup = LookupServiceHelper.getInstance();
             preferencesHome = (LocalPreferencesHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.PREFERENCES_BEAN);
             companyInformationHome = (LocalCompanyInformationHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.COMPANY_INFORMATION_BEAN);
             businessAddressHome = (LocalBusinessAddressHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.BUSINESS_ADDRESS_BEAN);
             sitePreferencesHome = (LocalSitePreferencesHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.SITE_PREFERENCES_BEAN);
             paymentPreferencesHome = (LocalPaymentPreferencesHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.PAYMENT_PREFERENCES_BEAN);
             productPreferencesHome = (LocalProductPreferencesHome)
                   lookup.getLocalHome(IConstants.PRODUCT_PREFERENCES_BEAN);
        }When there is one instance of the App, it works perfectly. When there are two instances, one works perfectly, and the other one will have the above issues with the instantiation of Stateless Session Beans (the broken enterprise app is the one that is NOT loaded or reloaded most recently).
    Thinking that the problem may be solved by rearranging or repackaging the software, multiple solutions have been tried. (ClassCast Exceptions such as these are typically the result of helper classes being loaded by one class-loader, then loaded by another, compared or casted, and the two are not equivalent). In this case, though, the software is behaving as though each enterprise app does not have its own class loader hierarchy, which is obviously highly undesirable for the situation at-hand. At any rate, bundling all library classes at the app server classpath level, putting all library classes in each jar, and war, and putting all library classes in the ear/lib directory and using MANIFEST.MF classpath entries to point all ear subcomponents at the library classes - none of these potential solutions has alleviated this problem. In addition, the EJB classes themselves triggering the exception(s) are not helper classes but EJBs that are correctly packaged in their respective EJB-JARS.
    Here is the sun SJSAS 8 classloader hierarchy from the userguide:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6087/dgdeploy.html#wp58491
    Can somebody from the Sun App Server team speak to whether or not this is an Application Server issue? Why should the classloader hierarchy from one enterprise app interfere with any other? Are there known workarounds?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Best, Adam

    Hi Ken,
    I have pretty much ruled out "artifacts" in the Application Server's Classpath, because we already tried reinstalling the Application Server. It is a freshly downloaded SJSAS 8 2005 Q2 downloaded a few days ago with nothing added to the Server Classpath other than a database driver [${com.sun.aas.installRoot}/mysql/lib/mysql-connector-java-3.1.11-bin.jar added to the server CLASSPATH suffix after the PointBase driver(s)].
    Yes, each ear has its own name. Once the two enterprise apps have been created/packaged by the ANT build script (they are the same except for the slight differences in deployment descriptors we discussed earlier), one is renamed and we use the SJSAS administrative console to deploy them, both deploy correctly, without errors and begin listening for connections at their respective context-roots. Each enterprise application has two web-wars, one public/customer facing, and one administrative. The first enterprise app listens on /e (public facing) and /a (administrative) and the second listens on / (public facing) and /admin (administrative).
    Also, you are correct; each ear has its own copy of the LookupServiceHelper class. Again, there is nothing shared on the App Server Classpath other than that jdbc driver for mysql.
    Here is the LookupServiceHelper code:
    package com.acjust.ecommerce.util;
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.util.Collections;

  • ABAP development namespace prefix and XI naming

    Hi,
    while going to establish company wide SAP XI naming conventions the question arised, if there should be any relationship between naming for XI design and configuration objects and the so called "reserved development namespace prefix" known from ABAP programming. Is it, e.g. advisable to use the reserved ABAP namespace prefix as part of XI repository namespaces?
    Any experiences?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,
    Setting up XI naming conventions for a company needs a holistic approach looking what is already out there for java, abap, xml etc. so there is no easy answer to any question regarding naming conventions, only ideas. You have to look at how these ideas fit into your existing conventions, so let me give you my idea on that:
    if your company has its own reserved ABAP namespace like /COMP/, you should definitely use that in Proxy Generation as prefix. However a usage in XI namespaces depends on what the Abap NS looks like. SAPs suggestion is to use a namespace like http://company.com/xi/... and i think, it is a very good suggestion, so i would definitely use something similar. Normally i would use the URL similar to the companies website e.g. if the website is http://www.company.com, i would just delete the www out of it. Now you might have a company with a very long name and even website URL and namespaces are restricted to 60 characters so you possibly run into length issues and decide to use an abbreviation, in that case i would definitely use an existing abap namespace as abbreviation if the namespace is somehow descriptive.

  • What is the WebCenter Content data prefix naming convention?

    Hi all,
    While working with RIDC I had some trouble understanding which data attributes relate to which concepts (folder, file, revision, document, ...). Some services I've been using return data from mulitple concepts, for example the DOC_INFO and FLD_INFO services return both file and document information. Sometimes I'm able to distinguish which data relates to which concept by the prefix used in the returned data element.
    I made a small list of naming prefixes I encountered and where:
    "d" => The majority... is there a clear definition when this prefix is used?
    "dDoc" => Here and there, I assumed it is used when you clearly want to distinguish between a DOCument and a revision.
    "dwf" => Document workflow data.
    "dlink" => Document link data.
    "f" => Framework Folders data.
    "x" => DocMeta apart from "xClbraXXX" fields?
    "ipm" => Imaging.
    "dcollection" => Folders_g
    "dclbra" => Collaboration project.
    Am I heading in the right direction with these assumptions? Or is there a source on this subject (my search failed to turn up anything) ?
    A second somewhat related question; I'm slowly getting a better grip on the domain model of WebCenter Content, has anyone ever produced a simplified ER-diagram of this? I think it could be a great help for newcomers. (I might give it a go if no-one has).
    Regards,
    Niels

    d_ is a prefix for standard metadata x_ is a prefix for custom metadata
    The best description of the data model is available in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/admin/troubleshooting_10en.pdf , appendix A. (note: it's a 10g verstion!)

  • Problem naming table with schema prefix in Trigger

    Hi,
    When i try to compile the trigger having that body :
    BEGIN
    Insert into TechDb.DocumentTransfers(DocumentNumber, DocumentTypeID, StaffCodeFrom,
    StaffCodeTo, TransferType, TransferDate)
    values (:New.DocumentNumber, :New.DocumentTypeID, :New.StaffCode,
    :New.StaffCode, :New.LastOperation, :New.DocumentDate);
    END;
    I get the following error :
    Line # = 2 Column # = 4 Error Text = PLS-00201: identifier 'DOCUMENTTRANSFERS' must be declared
    I noticed that the error disappears works if i don't need to prefix the DOCUMENTTRANFERS table with the schema name.
    I am missing something ?
    Thanks very much for your help.
    Christian Moungou

    Thanks John and Todd. It works exactly as you said.
    But, does that mean i will have to directly grant the access right to all the users who will do the action which activates the trigger ?
    Just to confirm : I assume that the user who executes the trigger is the user who does the action that activates the trigger ?
