Nast protocol updation error

Hi Folks,
It is quite explanatory why I am posting this question.
I am trying to update a nast protocol in my driver program and I am popualting the nast table using nast_protocol_update in sales Invoicing. The problem is that expect issuing printing the output type is not updating with an error icon and there is no log in processing log.
Please help me where the problem could have been.
The updation is not reflecting in the nast table.
Thanks and Regards,
Krishna Mukthineni

Thanks Bharani,
first the processing log is not getting populated for VF03 even when the driver program is populated with the error state and upating through nast_protocol_update.
Please suggest any solution.
Regards,
Krishna Mukthineni

    Hi,
You can create a message in SE91...And give the message number & message class..
Or you can give an existing message class which has just &.
    Try this..
    Ex..

  • TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error on Oracle Enterprise Linux

    hi,
    I am getting -
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error when I try to connect the Db installed on Oracle Enterprise Linux from other machines.
I made all the .bash_profile changes and created one shared listener also to check whether there is any problem with the dedicated default listener or its port.
    Please suggest the solution .
    Regards
    sumit chaudhary

You need to open the firewall on OEL.
Edit the contents of /etc/sysconfig/iptables file. I added the line in bold:
    # Firewall configuration written by system-config-securitylevel
    # Manual customization of this file is not recommended.
    *filter
    :INPUT ACCEPT [0:0]
    :FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0]
    :OUTPUT ACCEPT [0:0]
    :RH-Firewall-1-INPUT - [0:0]
    -A INPUT -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
    -A FORWARD -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p icmp --icmp-type any -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 50 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 51 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp --dport 5353 -d 224.0.0.251 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 631 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 631 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW -m tcp -p tcp dport 22 -j ACCEPT
    *-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -m tcp -p tcp dport 1521 -j ACCEPT*
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW -m udp -p udp dport 137 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW -m udp -p udp dport 138 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW -m tcp -p tcp dport 139 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state state NEW -m tcp -p tcp dport 445 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited
    COMMIT
As you can see, my listener port is 1521.
Do not put that line after the line with REJECT keyword ( it won't work then) !
Save and close the file. Restart iptables:
    /etc/init.d/iptables restart
Now you can connect from the outside.
It works on my OEL version 5 update 4.

  • Protocol Violation Error (ORA-17401)

    Hi everyone,
I was problem while run cfm page, for 4 weeks ago, the ColdFusion stop in error Protocol Violation Error - ORA-17401.
I'm using JDBC Oracle connector version 1.6 with Oracle 11 g.
Where the error show, the server stop communication from Oracle and returns only restart the CF Service, other servers dont stop communication.
I have 4 servers with 4 processors Quad-Core, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB HD, with Windows 2008 and IIS 7.5.
The ColdFusion is update level 11.
    Any answers?

It is seen when Oracle.getSystemProperties fail to bring in Data from Oracle Server. At that time every property is returned as null, so protocol violation occurs. It occurs and Oracle Can't close Connection as said by the first thread.
Solution is to avoid too many requests at same time but use some long queue mechanism and timings.

  • ORA-12560 "TNS protocol adapter error":Win2k+Oracle8i_32bit.Helplessly struggling.

    Hi Oracle Guru's,
Please save my life from this typical yet known problem.
I got an old backup on my tapes about 3 years older. I have windows server 2k where I have an access remotely through RDP(Citrix-CuraStore).
I installed oracle8i 32 bit on Windows 2k though it got stuck at the end where it installs optional tools(like Net8i assistant), so i closed the installation session, Because I could see Net8i assistant, dbca etc was installed on machine.
I checked my services, found it had started the Listerner8i service.
To create a database, I tried to happen it through DBCA...but unfortunately it gave error(ORA-12560 "TNS protocol adapter error"), I ignored it ...but it didnt move to next step...completely stuck up..So closed the session.
I tried with ORADIM to create service, It did happen, services for database was created, I setup the environment(SID,HOME,PATH) etc.
When I login with sqlplus , it gives again the same error(ORA-12560 "TNS protocol adapter error"), I tried many things like TCP/IP traffing disabling etc..Nothing worked.
Can some one please help me and give me some out of box solution..I shall be really really thankful to them.

  • ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error after patch 9.2.0.7 on Windows2K

I just install the patch 9.2.0.7 for client Oracle machine on windows 2000 server.
Since then I'm constantly getting "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error" and I cannot connect via SQL plus.
    Any help is appreciated, mj

I'm trying to connect to databases that are running on a separate machines - aix5.2, and I can connect from every other machine in the office but not from this one.
There's no database on this machine - only Oracle client tools installed with 9.2.0.1 and then updated to 9.2.0.7. Before the update the sqlplus was working just fine. After the patch run, I'm not able to connect viw sqlplus.
There were no errors when running the patch.

I changed my Database Server's IP Address . Later get this Protocol Adapter error from Client machines. I change the IP address in Listner.. Where are the Other places need the Ip changes.. Please give a solution
    Shiju

You have to do change in the 'hosts' file of the clinet also if you want to run the applications I SQL*PLUS env or TOAD etc.....
On client side in hosts file location:
    C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Update the IP address of your server and save it
    Then everything will be fine......
Please do take the backup of your old 'hosts' file also

  • Warning -:  AIP-50082:  Duplicated Exchange protocol message error

    Hi,
I am facing this warning while sending Outbound Rosettanet messages to Oracle b2B.
Warning -: AIP-50082: Duplicated Exchange protocol message error
Even after this warning, the messages are getting exchanged with the trading partner. The B2B report shows message state as "Complete".
The issue is very similar to the following thread.
    [t-701140]
I tried entering values to "b2b_event" table manually. It first says that "The row is created". However, It is not actually getting created in the table.
Can you please help me with this issue?
    Regards,
    Ravi Shah

    Hi Ramesh,
Thanks a lot for your response.
The Duplicate Exchange protocol message error issue is now resolved for RNIF. You suspected the duplicate MSG_ID to be the cause and it was. Though the back-end Java stub was updating the MSG_ID, that wasn't picked up by the B2B. This resulted in the same MSG_ID from the properties file being picked up for every message.
After rectifying the back-end Java stub code, this issue was resolved and no errors were found for the nearly 500 messages that were enqueued onto the JMS. Further, the throughput was found to be 4-6 MPS on Windows Env.
    Thanks again!
    Warm Regards,
    Suhas.

  • SDMWB - ORA-03137: TTC protocol internal error : [3120]

    Hello,
Customer is trying to migrate MS Access 2003 to Oracle database 11.1.0.6 using APEX 3.1.1 and SQL developer 1.5. He has used APEX 3.1.1 exporter the most. He ran the exporter for Access 2003 and got an xml file and sqlfile.
He created a repository fine in SQL Developer 1.5.
When he tries to capture the export XML file he gets the above error in the window and the Capture process either stops or hangs.
Seems like Apex 3.1.1 can read the *.sql file
SQL Developer 1.5 cannot process the *.xml file
Does anybody know why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    Jose Franco

  • ORA-12560: TNS: protocoll Adapter error

    Hi all!
I tried to update Oralce 8.1.7 to 9.2.0.4. The Installation of the new Software worked without Problems. But when I start the "Database Upgrade Assistant" I got following Error MEssage: <b>ORA-12560: TNS:protocoll Adapter error</b>.
Perhaps somebody can give me a hint? (8.1.7 with all Services is running)

    Hi Alexander
Well it would be better if you upgrade manually instead of using 'Database Upgrade Assistant' as there are frequent issues with upgrade assistant.
You can get manual upgrade documents from Oracle Metalink, Read Document Note 159657.1: Complete Upgrade Checklist for manual upgrades from 8.X/9.0.1 to Oracle 9i.
    cheers
    Sameer
PS: Before going to manual upgrade check which ORACLE_HOME is set. There is a possibility that it may be looking at the wrong tnsnames.ora file entry depending on if ORACLE_HOME is 8.x or 9.x

  • Protocol violation error on Oracle...

    Hi,
I know many people have posted this kind of problem..but I am still pretty confused as to what's going on.
Basically, the situation is this: I have a bean file which accesses oracle database and it does an update on a certain table with a long field, i don't know if that causes the problem. It only occurs after some queries that succeed. I also do this with a prepared statement and it involoves a huge amount of data. The select statements on the same data always succeeds.
    I get a 'oracle protocol violation error', seems random;
The version of Oracle jdbcdriver (classes12.zip)is 8.1.7:
    Oracle Server : 8.1.7

One of the developers came up with the analysis
that the protcol violation occurs when you try to
close a PreparedStatement/Cursor that is already closed .
The "protocol violation' is message that is thrown
when Oracle cant throw a more specific message.
Can somebody confirm this? Do i need to close a prepared statement anyway?
