Navigating does not initialize BindingContainer

Question

I have 6-step process. The last step is a review (call it P6) and does overall validation on page load (implemented in PagePhaseListener after prepareModel phase). If it finds some errors, I want to forward to specific step and display it. If there are no errors, a confirmation button is displayed.
The problem is, that after calling handleNavigation, the correct page is rendered, but the #{bindings} references P6's page definition. Apparently, the context is not initialized for the new page. I need something like as on figure 29-2 in the ADF Developer’s Guide For Forms/4GL Developers, but modified like this: http://web.naex.sk/durina/lifecycle.gif (red rectangle added), i.e. initialize context for new page, and call prepareModel, prepareRender etc.
This is code from the P6's afterPhase:

      if (res != null) {
        FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        NavigationHandler nh = ctx.getApplication().getNavigationHandler();
        nh.handleNavigation(ctx, null, res);
        return;
      }The validate() method cannot be called as an action (it has no argument and returns outcome), because you can navigate to P6 from any of P1..P5 through global navigation rule or from P5 through "Continue" outcome and I need BindingContainer to be initialized for P6.
Is there a way to do this (for example, can I mimic the logic from "New Context" bubble on the picture)?
