Navigation block and the Query Table Side by side in output

Hi
I am unable to get the navigation block and the query table side by side when i execute the WAD .Is it possible to place those 2 objects next to each other in the WAD output.In the WAD design those 2 are placed side by side.
Regards,Pra

I meant Html Table:
In WAD in menu you can choose Insert -> Table -> Insert Table
You need 1 row, 2 columns. In one of the column you should put navigation block and in the other table.
Regards

    How to find last accessed/updated tables and the query text?

    Check DBA_TBALES view there you find one date column that indicate last update
    One option is as follows:
    (1) Turn the auditing on: AUDIT_TRAIL = true in init.ora
    (2) Restart the instance if its running.
    (3) Audit the table:
         AUDIT INSERT,SELECT,DELETE,UPDATE on TableName
         by ACCESS WHENEVER SUCCESSFUL
    (4) Get the desired information using :
         SELECT OBJ_NAME,ACTION_NAME ,to_char(timestamp,'dd/mm/yyyy , HH:MM:SS')
         from sys.dba_audit_object.

  • Unable to use Navigational Attr in the query ?

    Hi experts,
    We are using BEx 3.X.
    We have a report based on an infoset. We want to use some navigational attributes in the query and
    restrict the values of these attributes.
    But we are unable to use them as navigational attr. They are displayed as display attributes only.
    We are unable to restrict them. This is because the query is on Infoset.
    When i use the same navigational attr in a query based on a infocube, it is displaying as Navigational Attr.
    We are in BI 7 but using BEx 3.X.
    How to resolve this ?
    Regards,
    Nishuv.

    Hi,
    Master Data Read
    A simple master data read should be done using generic BI functionality in the update rules. Choose the
    option u201CMaster Data Attribute ofu201D in the update rule details for the selected characteristic and select an
    attribute by using the F4 help. With this setting, the value of the characteristic to be updated is read from the
    master data table of the specified characteristic.
    Characteristic Material is provided by the InfoSource.
    Characteristic Material Group is not provided by the InfoSource.
    Characteristic Material Group is an attribute of characteristic Material
    Therefore you can fill Material Group from the master data table of Material: Select the method Master Data
    Attribute from and Material as source.
    The generic master data read only works for characteristics that are available in the communication
    structure.
    For a more complex master data read or if the characteristic is not available in the communication structure,
    you have to implement the master data read yourself in a routine for the specific characteristic. If so, the
    function module RSAU_READ_MASTER_DATA should be used to read the master data.
    In Infoset u can use max 2 cubes......and Infoobjects 'N' number u can use.......
    Thanks/Tarak

  • How to put variable selection and the query result the same screen

    Dear all,
       how can I put the variable selection and the query result in the same screen? Please advise. Thanks.
    Jin Ming

    Not sure if you are saying you want the prompts on the same page as the results... however in 7.0 with BEx Analyzer, you can insert a text object from the design toolbar and assign it to the variable.... this way, lets say you run query for period 6, then the text object will display "6" on the same area where the query results are.

  • Some ports  randomly get blocked and the external program is unable to rece

    We have configured few ports to send out Idocs using TRFC mechanism. Initially all the ports are working fine and the external program  is able to receive Idocs from all the ports. However after sometime, some ports  randomly get blocked and the external program is unable to receive Idocs from these ports. If the SAP instance is restarted, we see that all ports work fine for a certain period but the same issue appears again after sometime.
    This behaviour is observed in case of TRFC calls but not for normal RFC calls.
    RFC Connections,partner profiles,ports,distribution model - these all are working fine.
    Your help will be appreciated.

  • Navigation Blocks and Charts

    Hi! Is there anyway to have Charts update on-demand based on any drilling down of characteristics in the navigation block?
    If I have one navigation block, chart, and table that all use a specific query, any drill downs of characteristcs/KF that I make through the navigation block are updated in the table view but the chart doesn't change at all (constantly static). Is there anyway to have the chart reflect simple, different views made through the navigation block? (i.e: sales by region, sales by country, etc.)
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.
    The chart and table are both using the same data provider [query] as the navigation block. There are three free characteristics that can be drilled down on in the navigation block. When making a change in the nav block, the table is updated properly but the chart remains the same (all the characteristics are free characteristics and not part of the Rows definition - for the query). Is there anything else I might need to do to the chart (it's a Pie Chart)?
    Thanks

  • Data Blocks and the Elapsed Time

    Hi,
    I have created 3 tables with one column only. As an example Table 1 below:
    SQL> create table T8k( x char(2000));
    So 3 tables are created in this way i.e. T8k,T16K and T4K
    T8 = in the default database tablespace of 8k (11g v11.1.0.6.0 - Production) (O.S=Windows).
    T16 = I created in a Tablespace with Blocksize 16k.
    T4K = I created in a Tablespace with Blocksize 4k. In the same Instance.
    Each table has 290,000 rows and all the 3 tables have equal size of 555MB (2006(rowsize with overhead) * 290,000/1024/1024 = 555MB) to test Elapsed Time (set timing on).
    As these 3 tables are created under different block sizes so the allocated no. of data blocks are different as below:
    T8K = 97177 BLOCKS= 00:41:20.21 (Elapsed Time)
    T16K=41639 BLOCKS= 00:44:11.59
    BT4K=293656 BLOCKS=00:37:29.06
    Please note the difference. First table i.e. 8k block size, allocated blocks are 97177 and taking around 41 mins. Third table i.e. BT4K (in a 4k block size tablespace), allocated blocks(293656 ) are almost 3 times bigger, taking around 37 mins to execute the query. I mean the difference is only 4 mins hardly and blocks difference is 3 times.
    In case of any doubt, I've created these tables bigger than the memory used for my db(memory_max_size 408M) i.e. 555 MB that If Blocks are already in cache then reading the blocks and counting the rows will nearly be the same regardless of the block sizes or the number of blocks.
    Need solid suggestions and if possilble, links also which has some serious discussions regarding my issue.
    Bundle of thanks.
    Best Regards,

    Because I was not completely satisfied with the things last time. It doesn't seem so simple to me as people said
    I thought may some guru have a look today, not just to point out that i have created it again.
    And I have compact my question to avoid confusion.

  • How to find the largest and the widest tables in Oracle 10g ?

  • Navigation Block and RRI

    Hello everybody,
    I use the RRI to jump from one report Q1 to another report Q2. Both report are using the same webtemplate W1
    (the report is send as parameter to W1.)
    Both reports have the same structure and they are build one the same InfoProvider.
    I have a navigation block which is the same in both. (contains exactly the same objects)
    Let's say I open Q1, I do some navigation, I remove a column from drilldown, restrict to a value, I drilldown another object into rows.. After that I jump to Q2 via Go To.
    What I want is that through this jump also the navigation block to be transferred. I mean the drilldown, the removed column to be not shown as in previous report..
    Is there any solution at this (keep "settings" from Navigation after jump), or any alternative will be useful.
    Thank you and points will be assigned for helpful answers!
    Ramona

    No they are not .. soryy for my bad explanation..
    let's put the same problem for
    Q1 in W1
    Q2 in W2
    in structure, W1 and W2 are identicaly.
    jump from Q1(W1) to Q2(W2) and transmit the navigation block.. how?
    p.s. also answers like: this is not posible will be helpful. I have to know if it is posible and if yes..how?
    thank you.

  • XQuery Update (11.2.0.3) and the path table

    Hi,
    I'm currently using XQuery update on 11.2.0.3 to merge 2 XML documents, having tried a number of approaches up to now on 11.2.0.2.
    My table has one XMLType column (securefile binary containing unstructured xml) which has XML deltas applied to it via a stored procedure.
    An unstructured XML index is defined on the column.
    Previously, I was doing the following:
    1) Merge documents using XMLQuery; only produce a merged document if changes were detected
    2) Update the table if the merged document is non-null
    i.e.
    select XMLQuery(<merging code>) passing oldDoc as "oldDoc", delta as "delta" returning content) into mergedDoc from dual;
    if (mergedDoc is not null) then
        update myTable set xmlDoc = mergedDoc where id=v_id;
    end if;However, this replaces the entire document if any changes are detected (with an obvious impact on the path table).
    I then read (UpdateXML query rewrite with unstructured data? about the use of XQuery Update in 11.2.0.3 to only target the affected document fragments so my current approach is:
    update myTable
    set xmldoc =
            xmlquery('declare namespace m="http://www.blah.com/merge";
            (: See if two nodes have matching text (or no text which is an empty sequence :)
            declare function m:matchText($one as element(), $two as element()) as xs:boolean {
                if ($one/text() = $two/text() or count($one/text())=0 and count($two/text())=0) then true() else false()
            declare updating function m:merge($old as element()?, $new as element()?) {
                (for $o in $old/* return
                    for $n in $new/* where name($o) = name($n) return
                        if (count($n/*) > 0) then
                            m:merge($o, $n)
                        else
                            if (m:matchText($n, $o)) then () else replace value of node $o with $n,
                    for $n in $new/* where (not(some $o in $old/* satisfies name($o) = name($n))) return insert node $n into $old)
            copy $d := .
            modify (
                (m:merge($d/*,$delta/*))
            ) return $d'
            passing xmldoc, delta as "delta"
            returning content)
    where id = v_id;If no changes were detected between the documents (i.e. the XQuery update did not actually modify the document), would you expect this statement to have no impact on the path table? Is there any way to get more trace information which shows what the update is actually doing when it executes?
    Apologies if this is overlong or if I have omitted any supplementary information.
    Thanks for any assistance
    Larry

    Hi,
    many thanks for your reply.
    A simple testcase is below. The recursive approach is required because the documents may be hierarchial.
    create table mytable (id number(19,0), xmldoc xmltype) xmltype column "XMLDOC" store as securefile binary xml;
    insert into myTable values (1,xmltype('<xml><el1>1</el1><el2>2</el2><el3>3</el3></xml>'));
    update myTable
    set xmldoc =
            xmlquery('declare namespace m="http://www.blah.com/merge";
            (: See if two nodes have matching text (or no text which is an empty sequence :)
            declare function m:matchText($one as element(), $two as element()) as xs:boolean {
                if ($one/text() = $two/text() or count($one/text())=0 and count($two/text())=0) then true() else false()
            declare updating function m:merge($old as element()?, $new as element()?) {
                (for $o in $old/* return
                    for $n in $new/* where name($o) = name($n) return
                        if (count($n/*) > 0) then
                            m:merge($o, $n)
                        else
                            if (m:matchText($n, $o)) then () else replace value of node $o with $n,
                    for $n in $new/* where (not(some $o in $old/* satisfies name($o) = name($n))) return insert node $n into $old)
            copy $d := .
            modify (
                (m:merge($d/*,$delta/*))
            ) return $d'
            passing xmldoc, xmltype('<xml><el1>1-UPDATE</el1><el4>4</el4></xml>') as "delta"
            returning content)
    where id = 1;This results in one update and one insert:
    <xml><el1>1-UPDATE</el1><el2>2</el2><el3>3</el3><el4>4</el4></xml>It currently produces the following trace:
    *** 2012-03-13 10:13:34.708

    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr END-----
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr BEG-----
    UDF with noderef
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr END-----I've noticed that even with a simple XQuery update like the following:
    update myTable set xmldoc =
            xmlquery('copy $d := .
            modify (
                (replace value of node $d/xml/el1 with "1-UPDATE-2",insert node <el4>4</el4> into $d/xml)
            ) return $d'
            passing xmldoc
            returning content) where id = 1;I get the following trace:
    *** 2012-03-13 10:31:42.280
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr BEG-----
    non-simple content in target expression
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr END-----
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr BEG-----
    not delete/insert/replace in modify clause
    --------- XQuery NO rewrt expr END-----
    Non-iterator usage
    Non-iterator usageDoes this also indicate that a rewrite is not occurring, or is this only when a message like "NO REWRITE Reason ==> xseq:not optuop" is traced?
    I'll try XSLT in the meantime.
