Navigation button and Web Elements with Crystal XIr2

I'm very new to Web Elements. I have a Crystal XI report that contains several subreports, each on a new page. Is it possible to place forward and back buttons on the report for better navigation. From this forum I here much talk about using the hyperlinks. Are navigation buttons possible?

hello...actually that would just be subreport linking...i know...too many linking methods to keep track of
after reading what you wish to do (drill into a subreport and then try to get back to the main report) this will not be possible with report part linking...it only works if you are not drilled into a subreport. report part linking can be used to link back and forth between main report parts...for example you can put a text object on a report footer to bring the end user back to the report header...again, without reposting the report.
in your case you'll want to use opendocument linking to get back to the report. create a link that will repost the same report. or if you want a button, you can use webelements to do that. a simple formula example would be

It was working fine with Crystal Report version 13.0.5. Only change is uninstall Crystal Report version 13.0.5 and install Crystal Report version 13.0.10

Problems deploying VS 2005 Web Site with Crystal Reports

If it's not one assembly reported missing, it's another. Runs fine on my local machine, but can't deploy to a test environment on my company's server. How can I force crystal to install everything on the server that is needed so that my clients (end users) can run this report?
We are not running Crystal RAS.
When I set up my msi, I made sure to set it to take assemblies from my local machine. Yet, my local machine does not seem to contain all of the assemblies that it needs. They're not showing up in the bin anyway.
I am using non-embedded report files (as you can see from my code below) so that I can change reports on the fly, if necessary without recompiling the entire app.
I am using the ReportDocument object.
Error as follows (when run from any desktop) in IE.

Okay. So I installed the correct MSMs, opened the deployment document that came with it entitled, "Crystal Reports for .net Framework 2.0 - Deployment using Merge Modules" and got to page 4. At the bottom of page 4. It had me create a new Web Setup Project. The MSMs are included in the project, as they should be.
On page 4, #7, it says "Build the project."
#8 says Run your development setup.
There are 3 panes on my VS interface (4 including the Solution Explorer). To me, they look like they need the information regarding what Web Site this is to deploy.
I don't see any instructions on how to do this. I just blew away my old MSIs that I created because the previous document said not to use them.
So, how do I add my Web Site to these panes?

Web Elements in Crystal Reports on BOE XIr2

<p>hello AJ,</p><p>1) good question. once you've built a custom page you never want to see that default prompt page again. what you should do is publish a hyperlink to your CMC that is an opendocument link with default prompt values to your report containing the controls. then hide the report itself in a folder that the end users can't see. this way only the hyperlink is available and no one will see that prompt page again.</p><p>2) if you open up the webelementsdcp.rpt from the webelements.zip folder, this is an example of heirarchical controls. for the first control in the ElementSet, substitute the WESelectCascade for a radio button control and you'll get the result you're looking for.</p><p>3) see #2...once you've done the substitution above, the radio button will be using the same live data that the cascading select menu did.</p><p>cheers,</p><p>jamie</p>

Migrating Crystal and Webi Reports with Universe from 1 folder to different folders

Does anybody know of a way to do the following
this is for BOE XI 3.1 SP 6 FP 6.2 on Windows 2008 R2
We have multiple Crystal and Webi reports developed from 1 universe and we need to copy these Crystal and Webi reports to different folders in the same CMS for example
Universe Dev > Universe Folder Dev - Crystal and Webi Reports set in Dev Folder
Create a copy of the Dev Universe to Universe Folder Test – Copy the Dev Crystal and Webi Reports to Folder Test we need to Map it to the universe in the Test Universe folder(Copy of the Dev Universe)
Create a copy of the Dev Universe to Universe Folder UAT– Copy the Dev Crystal and Webi Reports to Folder UAT we need to Map it to the universe in the UAT Universe folder(Copy of the Dev Universe)
Create a copy of the Dev Universe to Universe Folder PROD – Copy the Dev Crystal and Webi Reports to Folder PROD we need to Map it to the universe in the PROD Universe folder(Copy of the Dev Universe)
The reason for this is each of these universe are connected to a different database i.e Test, UAT, Prod and we have over 200 reports and at the moment we have to manually map each report to the new universe individual which take up hours.
I have tried Lifecycle manager but came to the conclusion it cannot achive this
You cannot change the universe attached to the Crystal and Webi reports
you cannot promote Reports and Universes in the Same CMS to different folders
you cannot change the folder even if you promote jobs between servers

The way you should do this is to have 4 different BO systems, Dev, Test, UAT and Prod.
Having this will allow you to use the same universe across all systems, but the connection to the database will be different on each system.
Not only will this allow you to smoothly report off different data sources, but you will also be able to upgrade and make configuration changes without impacting your production system.

How can I copy and edit navigation buttons and anchors to remain consistent?

Some very friendly advice here. Stop what you're doing. Put down the mouse. Walk into the boss's office or phone the client and tell them their current website is a flaming disaster. It uses frames which makes the site overly complicated and difficult for site visitors to use. To add further insult, the site is constructed so poorly as to be un-navigable. I can't even see the lower menu in Firefox 3.0.10 on XP. Seriously, this needs to be rebuilt ASAP without frames and with a navigation system that doesn't suck. In the long-run, a good CSS menu would be much simpler for you (and the next poor soul who inherits this site) to work with.

Still having navigation problems and need help with how to debug

I've been porting over a servlet project to JSF and I'm still having navigation problems. I thought the problem might have been because the original project used HTML frames and so the "from-view-id" JSP defined the frame/framesets and the specific JSP that does the submit (and so is named in the "from-view-id" is never defined in a "to-view-id" attribute). I've now switched to using an IFRAME, and that resolves that problem. So now the JSP is defined in a "to-view-id" attribute and it includes an named IFRAME that can be used as a target. I press the submit button and I get not the JSP expected butinstead the same JSP displayed inside its own IFRAME.
Here is the code for the submit. I've simplified it as much as possible with a static action (originally it was a call to a method) just to try and get things to work. This is the current version:

Visited link colors shows on navigational buttons and icon despite not visited

Multiple domains names and web sites with only one SLS and one static IP

I tried to find a post on this topic but I still can't find what needs to be done.
SLS is configured for one domain with one web site and it's working well. We will call it domain1.com. Here is the config:
Static IP: 69.x.x.x
DNS setting under Server Admin:
hostname: server.domain1.com
Two DNS entries under domain1.com with:
www - alias - server.domain1.com
server - Machine - 10.0.1.x (fixe IP for server on LAN)
Web settings under Server Admin:
server.domain1.com - 10.0.1.x - Port 80
Domain1.com is managed with DynDNS Custom DNS Service with 1 record:
domain1.com - A-record - 69.x.x.x
I want to host a second domain (for a website) called domain2.com. It's also registred at DynDNS and I have custom DNS setting to configure.
What's need to be done to have both domains with seperate web site on SLS under DNS and Web settings (beside the fact that I will have 2 different folders with the website files in it). I understand that I will need a new entry in the DNS for the new domain (domain2.com) and also an entry in the Web Service pane. But what are the details.

Yes. With "Ordinary Forwarding" you normally just type your .Mac url (web.mac.com/username/sitename) into a form at the place where you have your name.
I thought I was using 'web.mac.com' as the 'www' CNAME (alias) for my personal domain name (web address), so that when someone typed in my personal domain name they would 'go' to the domain registration location, which would then pass it on to the .Mac server, where my web site is hosted.
That's exactly right. It's just not the only way to do that. Ordinary Forwarding is another way, but it differs in terms of what appears in the address bar of the browser. Either you will see web.mac.com/username/.... or, if you add "masking", you will see your personal name for all pages. The CNAME method results in a address bar that reads www.myname.com/sitename/pagename.html.
Am I way off?

Publish RD Gateway and Web Access with One-Time Password (OTP) / Two-factor Authentication WITHOUT ISA/TMG server

Hi everybody,
I've been struggeling with this problem for a few weeks now and can't find a way to solve it.
We have an RD farm (Server 2012) which consists of two Remote Desktop Servers with Connection Broker and Web Access.
I've recently published a new server, containing RD Gateway and Web Access in our perimeter network.
Now we've got restrictions that OTP/2FA must be used for the external deployment and we've decided to go for a solution from Gemalto.
The "program" is called IDConfim and the server is called SA Server (Strong Authentication).
Also it's important that NO ISA/TMG server is supposed to be used, the OTP/2FA is supposed to work seamless with the Web Access/Gateway.
After hours discuss we came to a point were their NPS agent setup would be the only way to accomplish our goals.
The setup is supposed to be like this:
LAN:
1 DC (2008 R2)
RD Farm (2012)
1 SA Server (2012)
DMZ:
RD Gateway/Web Access (2012)
Were Gateway and Web Access should forward the authentications with NPS to the NPS agent on the SA server.
When you print your AD account to authenticate you add the 6 digits of OTP which you recieve from you mobile app.
Initially this seems to work, the Gateway forwards the request to the remote NPS server, BUT only if you write the correct AD password
(without the OTP extension).
If you write the correct AD password the authentication is forwarded to out SA Servern and it's beeing rejeced because the password doesn't
contain the correct OTP extension.
The problem comes here.
When you write you AD password along with the OTP extension you get a Windows Security error in the eventlog (On thw Gateway server) like this:

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
- Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
- Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
- Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.
What i can see it's a NTLM error, but hey?! aren't we supposed to forward all authentication handeling to the remote NPS server?
The problem is that no matter what i try the above problem stays there.
Is it not possible to just forward ALL authentication handeling to a remote server?
The only solution I've found to get it working someday in the future is this:
"Remote Desktop Pluggable Authentication and Authorization", which is supposed to be introduced in 2012 R2.

Please help! How can I validate Radio Buttons and List Menu with PHP.

Hello everyone, I have been learning PHP step by step and
making little projects.
The point is I find it easy to learn by doing "practical
projects."
I have been reading the David Powers's Book on PHP Solutions
and it's really great, however there is nothing mentioned regarding
Validating Radio buttons. I know the book cannot cover every aspect
of PHP and maybe someone in here can help.
I have been learning how to process HTML forms with PHP.
The problem is every book or tutorial I have read or
encountered fall short on validation.
I'm wondering how I can learn to validate Radio Buttons and
Select List Menu.
I have managed to create validation for all other fields but
have no clue as to how I can get validation for Radio Buttons and
List Menu.
I would also like an error message echoed when the user does
not click a button or make a selection and try to submit the form.
I would appreciate any help.

It's not that default value is "None." In fact it's not. It
will only be
"none" when the form is submitted.
Also if your submit button is names 'send' then
$_POST['send'] will only be
set if the form was submitted.
Make sure you didn't hit the refresh button on your browser
which usually
reposts the information. Also make sure you did not reach the
form from
another form with the same button names.
Otherwise paste the snippet.
Also you can check what fields are set in the post array by
adding this to
the top of (or anywhere on) your page:

For some months now the navigation button has not worked and I find myself using the touch-screen and enter-button.
Also my Blackberry Apps world has disappeared? I am unable to download firther apps?

Do you receive any response from your trackpad at all when using it? Have you done a battery pull to see if the trackpad works upon reboot?
I would also recommend making sure you have the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software avaiable. Plug your device into your PC then go to www.blackberry.com/update to install any updates available.
