NB205 Screen Size & Internet Forms

This is probably something simple that I just do not know about.
I have a new NB205 running Windows 7 Starter.  On the interent (IE) a form will open in a new window that does not have the maximize or minimize icons in the upper right corner, just the close icon.
The form is longer than the physical size of the NB205's screen.  I can grab the window and move it around but not above the top of the screen.  Below the screen is part of the form that I need to get to.
How do I get to the rest of the form?  The scroll wheel on my mouse doesn't work on the form but works on other windows.

When the form has the focus, press Alt + Spacebar to open the Control menu at the top-left of the window.
Press M for Move.
That should enable you to move the window around using the arrow keys.
Almost anything gets you out of that mode.
(If it's a child window, you would use Alt + hyphen to open the Control menu.)

Its really works basically the Right answer is in
    # Forms applet parameter
    width=100%
    # Forms applet parameter
    height=100%
and by defaulted my separateFrame was already [sperarateFrame=True]
so this really works... once again i thank to all friend...

  • IBook 14" to MacBook 13" screen size

I am moving from a 14" iBook to the 13" widescreen MacBook. How do the two compare? Does the widescreen make up for the smaller overall screen size. I don't want to downgrade on size, as the 14" iBook is barely large enough.
The computer is used for basic Word, Excel, Internet, email, but lots of screens open at the same time.
    Will it be OK???
    FB

I made th exact same upgrade and initially shared your concerns, however I can say confidently that they were wholely un-founded. The higher resolution screen of the macbook provides more screen space in a smaller area than did the ibook. The biggest difference for me was the brightness though, soo much brighter than the ibook; I hardly ever turn it up past half way!
The other posters are correct about expose though, I find i an invaluable tool. I also make use of virtuedesktops:
    http://virtuedesktops.info/
It works perfectly to give you more useable screen area.

  • How do i make this page adapt to all screen sizes???

    APDivs cannot be resized.
APDivs in primary layouts won't work in Responsive Web Design.
APDivs are a very poor layout method.
For this reason, Adobe removed APDivs from Dreamweaver CC.
Example of Fluid Grid Layout with floats & margins, no APDivs required.

  • Cannot adjust page width to fit to screen size on some PCs with IE

Hello friends, I am using APEX 4.0 and IE9 on different Windows 7 PCs . The page will go way off the screen to the right on one PC, and fits nicely inside the screen on another PC. This problem does not occur in Firefox on any PC. I have used Firebug to try to isolate the template or css settings. Using Theme_4, I have a breadcrumb region and 4 reports regions. One of the reports regions is in column 1 and 3 regions are in column 2. Display point is Page Template Body (3. Items above region content) for all the reports regions. The CSS is #themes/theme_4/css/theme_4_0.css. The template is One Level Tabs (Right Sidebar/Table Based). I tried various width="" using px and % under Edit Page Template-Definition-Body (see below). I tried style="width:800px" within the <div> tags. I have tried various other changes to theme_4_0.css and apex_4_0.css with no visible change to the page width on the obstinate PCs. I reset IE setting and deleted all personal settings on both PCs with no changes to either one, one fits on the screen and the other does not. The issue is that most of our users use IE so most of them will have to live with using the horizontal scroll bar to see the regions in column 2, unless we switch them all to Firefox (not a bad option, except that option works for our users only, we have no control over external browsers). I have tried suggestions from many discussion threads, as this problem has bothered us for quite some time. I know this is an IE problem, but any help is appreciated. Thank you.
"|" represents screen size and "-" is the regions/content for the "bad" PCs.
    |----------|----------
The "good" PCs look like this:

    <td class="tbl-sidebar">#REGION_POSITION_03#</td>
    </tr>

I think your concerns are very reasonable. But I want to sort of refocus things a little bit for you here... it's not really a PC vs Mac issue... Rather, it's specifically an Internet Explorer issue. And you might say that this is synonymous...still 98% of the world uses IE, and you would be correct. Hopefully when the final version of IE7 comes out, it will finally embrace some of the modern day OPEN web standards without trying to make too many standards of its own (this is Microsoft, though).
Anyways, in the meantime, I guess we all try to make the best of it. It's very easy to conclude that iWeb is not a viable tool for you, as long as you have something else to "fall back" on. With my limited knowledge of all things HTML, I have no such luxury. Instead, I have put up a notice on my site for IE users only that the site might not look its best on IE....this notice also encourages IE users to use FireFox, which is very much like Safari and will in 99% of cases display your iWeb pages just like you expect. You can see how I've done this here (but you have to surf from IE)... http://blog.dirtdoog.com
I think many people in the PC world understand the limitations of IE. Certainly many don't, but you have to consider your likely audience, I guess. I believe that your website content is king. If your content is compelling enough to your intended audience, they will jump through hoops to see it in its full glory....but you have to make them aware of the problem. That's why I have chosen to take the path that I have taken.
Let me know what you think.

  • How to set the screen size with nested Iview screen

Can someone show me how to set the screen size with nested IView  screen.
at the moment i only try it with trial and error untill it looks somewhat close. Is there a property in VC to set the size for Height and width.
The same question is for the form. the form elements inside the form is easy but the actual form is still a challenge.

  • HD Screen Size

FIOS TV/internet/phone installed yesterday and I already have a problem with TV displays.  Two HD sets display all HD channels smaller than screen size - black bars on all four sides. Aspect ratio is displayed correctly.  STB is CHS 335HDC. The STB is set to 1080i resolution and I have also tried Native and 780p. One TV is 1080p and the other is 720p.
I have rebooted the STB's and no change. On both TV's, I have tried expanding the image to fill the screen but the result looks awful - distorted and certainly not HD. A third TV is displaying HD correctly using a CHS 435HDC.  Of course, all the TV's worked just fine with Comcast.  Any suggestions?

Problem solved - replace the coax with either a component video or HDMI cable. Either one solves the problem but HDMI provides a better image.

  • Resizing image to screen size..

    Hi Guys,
I m writing kind of a map information program in which I need to send back an image to the user on their mobile device. Being a novice I found lot of information as to how to do it. I also got the screen size using canvas methods. But, now I m in a dilema wherein I need to decide whether I should compress the image on server side or the client side ?
I presume client side will take away a lot of space since I need to implement a routine for that.
So my question is, what should I do ? implement on server side or on client side ?
    Thanks for ur help,
    --siddhs

You can resize the images using JAI on the server side. Add caching and you will have decent speed. When the client connects, it should send the width and height. The server uses the width and height to scale the original image. The server stores the scaled image for later use before send it to the client.
The slideshow example application uses server resizing.
The midlet requests a image using the form below:
    http://fotomica.astrientlabs.com/slideshow?c=cars&li=13&h=200&w=100
Hostj2me.com has an image proxy. You can get scaled images suitable for display on a mobile phone by adding the length and width to the URL. For example:
    http://www.hostj2me.com/imageproxy?u=http://static.flickr.com/26/45983803_08b3658ad8_b_d.jpg&h=250&w=400&key=<your api key here>
You can also specify the output format.
    http://www.hostj2me.com/imageproxy?u=http://static.flickr.com/26/45983803_08b3658ad8_b_d.jpg&w=400&key=<your api key here>&f=PNG
I think the format choices are PNG, BMP, JPEG, and TIFF.
To get an API key sign up at hostj2me.com and go to the my profile page. The key is listed as the last item in the first paragraph. Copy and paste the key to the URL.

  • Screen Sizes

I develop forms based on my screen size, set at 800x600.
Therefore, the forms are stretched all the way to the bottom
    without any white space.
However, when other peole use the form on their computers
with different settings, the forms appear half the size of the
screen and there is a lot of space at the bottom.
How can I automatically stretch the form to fit each
different screen size/setting, is that possible ?
    Thanks

Let's say you have a form that has 10 text boxes on it and it
fits nicely on a 800x600 screen. On a 1024x768 monitor you would
have 224 pixels of white space at the bottom.
So do you want to take that 224 pixels and spread out your
text boxes, adding 24 pixels between each one? Or do you want to
increase the font size and the height of the text boxes, basically
magnifying what you see at 800x600?
FYI, JavaScript has two variables - screen.width and
    screen.height.

Perhaps an option to set the default font for discussion threads in the user preferences would be the best idea. One would think however that the Jive developers would have come up with something like that already.
    For what it's worth:
    http://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/font-size
Do not specify the font-size in pt, or other absolute length units for screen stylesheets. They render inconsistently across platforms and can't be resized by the User Agent (e.g browser). Keep the usage of such units for styling on media with fixed and known physical properties (e.g print).
Once again, I wonder about Jive development. Anyway, 10 pt is not best practice. It's standard for printed media, but not for screens. A search in Google shows that most recommend 16 pixels or more. Not sure what this is in points. I think 10 points is about 12 pixels, depending on screen dpi/ppi. I cannot imagine how tiny 10 pt must look on any of the high resolution Retina displays, which have twice or more density than conventional 72 dpi.

  • Changing screen size for screen sharing

Is there a way to change the screen size for screen sharing?
I have a 13" macbook and a G5 with a 20" monitor. When I use RDC to a PC it automatically adjusts to use the full screen on the G5 and when I use VNC to a linux system I can create a vncserver with any arbitrary geometry that I want, but when I use screen sharing all I seem to be able to get is a 13" screen. I can use JollysFast VNC, and view it full-screen, but it's still just 1280x800.
So, is there anyway to create a virtual window so that I can take better advantage the screen on my G5 when screen sharing to my macbook?
    Thanks,
    Rob

Well, the question should really have been, "What is the ideal page width for the iPad?".
The answer is that there isn't one since the iPad, like most portable devices, has two screen widths depending on whether its used in portrait or landscape mode.
If you are designing a layout specifically for the iPad, one solution is to use a folding design where the sidebar folds down to the bottom in portrait and jumps back up to the side in landscape. This will only work for personal computers and iPads.
The popular way of designing a layout to suit a large range of portable devices is to use a liquid, or semi liquid, layout that will automatically adjust to the fixed width browsers used on these devices.
    Something like this...
Neither of these methods are possible using a template based editor like iWeb and this is probably one of the main reasons that Apple has given up on the application. Surfing the internet on mobile devices is growing daily and its now become essential to have a mobile version of your website or one that can be viewed on all devices.

    What are you doing wrong?
    1. Creating the site in Photoshop (web sites shouldn't be
    made entirely of
    graphics..)
    2. Using Dreamweaver layers
    3. Using deprecated code to style the the background color
    instead of CSS...
As far as how it looks, obviously we can't say anything
    unless we see it..

  • Re: ITS mobile on Intermec CK71 Screens sizes

Hello Everyone. As of the problem we are using the Intermec CK 71 device with the Intermec browser . The problem is the custom screen sizes are not fitting to the screen exactly. An empty space is taken as many characters and the layout of the screens changes on the RF device. What is the solutions that you have done to overcome this.? Include an SAP note or change some thing in the HTML templates . Please do reply ..Thanks all of you...

    Hi RV,
For generating Mobile devices(without HTML templates) you would need to have service: ITSGENMOBILE4 published.

  • Satellite A300 PSAG0A - Games Will Not Display in Full Screen Size

I have a large number of games installed on my computer. At least 90% of them will not display in full screen size but display in a small window with a large amount of black screen surrounding the window. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. However, I do not think it has anything to do with Windows as my husband runs the same games on his Toshiba Satellite L300, running exactly the same version of windows, and they all display in full screen size.
Altering the screen resolution makes no difference. And, of course, I do select the full screen option in the games.
Also, sometimes when I have been playing a game and then closed it I find that my desktop picture has shrunk to the smaller size - the same size as the window in which the game was displayed when I was playing it.
The games work fine in every other way, it is only this small screen size which is driving me nuts.
I hope that someone can help me with this!!

Yes, as far as I can tell I have the latest driver. But, even this is confusing to me because....
My graphics media accelerator is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family. The installed driver version is 7.14.10.1329. The release date for this is 2007-09-13, as far as I can tell from web searches.
However, on the Toshiba website for driver downloads, the available driver version is 8.2.0.1012 PV. The date is 2006-12-28. I have downloaded this driver and attempted to install it. I get the message that it has been installed but, after rebooting and checking the installed driver version is still 7.14.10.1329.
Perhaps, the 8.2.0.1012 PV version does not actually install because it is older than the currently installed version. I would have thought that the driver version with the higher number would be the newer one, but perhaps this is not the case as the dates do not seem to support this theory.
So now I ask myself, firstly, if the driver available for download on the Toshiba website is not the newest one, then why is it there?
Secondly, if it is the newest one then why will it not install on my computer?

I use iwires to connect macbook to lg tv to watch netflix. How do you increase screen size on rv.I have tried display settings ,but not working

I would guess that the HDMI port on your mac is for output only - no input, and that's what your'e attempting to do when you attach the mac to your xbox. I looked in Mactracker and it lists the HDMI port as video output for both the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and the 15" Retina MacBook Pro (your post didn't say which one you have), so looks like that is the issue..
